Thank you. Yes, I thought it might be better just to avoid using the tape. I like to save money, but the silicone caps are not much money and I see no adverse effects from using them.

The prices are adjusted on the Iplehouse site. It looks like basically the 5% reduction that happened in September has been 'rolled back' (or up 5%). EID ladies price was $619, now $650.




I took screen shots of the SD sized ladies shoes too, they are up 5% as well.

 

Thank you for the post... I was wondering what the increase would be but haven’t gone on to check yet. I asked Iplehouse about the increase and they did say they think the prices will probably go back down later this year...yay!

Amy's jacket finally arrived so I had to take her out (and FREEZE my fingers) for a few pics. This one was a total accident but I love it
PS: I was SO afraid the jacket wouldn't fit when I saw it 'cause the arms are so slim! I thought, even if I get her hands through the sleeves they will never fit through the cuffs, but they did - yay.

Question: I have not ordered a full doll from IH for some time. I know when I order clothes they ship super fast. I ordered Vanessa with face-up on new body - does anyone have an idea of expected wait time?

 

It depends on how backed up they are. Have you checked the waiting room for times? I ordered my gal 11-21 and got her 12-5 but that was before the discount rush and I got her blank...

 

@jo1961 Not sure if this helps, but I ordered Doll Choice EID Pamela (with wig, clothing, custom make-up, nail polish, torso blush) on November 10th and she arrived on December 12th. This was before the holidays and the sales event they had, but I'm thinking that Doll Choice dolls typically have a longer processing time - especially since the make-up was custom. I was actually not expecting her for awhile - in fact, I guessed that I would have her at the end of January.

Edit: Just realized that Iplehouse says "delivered" for December 12th. She actually arrived to me on the 18th.

Thank you both for the information. So perhaps I have a chance she will arrive this month. I have been Dollshe waiting so if a doll arrives within 6 months - I am delighted.

 

I ordered through Doll choice Dec. 1, SID Harace with custom face up and she shipped out on Dec. 19. Very quick, even for Iple. Here's hoping you get your shipping notice soon!

 

I took time out of the late afternoon to play with my dolls . And my Grace has two new beautiful Monaeglow dresses. I splurged on several dresses, two for Grace and 2 FID size. So here are some pictures I took

Thank you @Ban Sidhe I just wish I were the one who sewed it! LOL. I usually like casual clothes, but Moneaglow is just insane in her/his ability to sew these chiffons and silks! And every girl likes to dress up once in a while, no?

 

Beautiful! She is lovely! I wish Moneaglow made for nYID or offer more in FID size.

 

They did write to me that they were working on making more?!?!

Excited because I have one more layaway payment for Felix. I’ve wanted him for ages because he’s exactly how I pictured one of my characters! I got a second hand head in the marketplace recently, but now I’ll have his proper SID body too. The second hand head will be modded (character has pointy ears) and I’ll probably keep the new head all shiny in the box so that if anything every happens to him, I’ll have another! XD

He is sort of a grail, even though he wasn’t limited, because the price was difficult. I joined the hobby with my first BJD in 2015, and I’ve been waiting for Felix/Zero for years!

He’ll be the adult version of Zero, who is a Daydream Ryan.

Aaaand... I’m excited. Sorry.

@StrontiumDog - I have a question about the new body. I have one coming and I was hoping that the new body had hips that will fit into some of my standard SD clothing. Do you find much difference in the two bodies?

@jo1961 - do you mean standard SID, rather than SD?
Haven't owned an older SID lady before, so can't be specific.
... the only other larger Iple gal I have is HID...but the new SID ( nSID? ) has slipped on some EID skinnier fit style jeans and I'm more than OK with them. She has tried some knit wear for the older SID body and it all fits nicely, with out looking too loose. Can't say with any authority, but I would guess that most stuff for the older body will fit the new. NOTE: on the the sales page for Rachel/Vanessa it only gives one bust size at 27cm...that must be the small option, as mine is the medium and it comes up at closer to 29cm.
Currently trying out existing clothing and shoes, so will report back later.

I have to say I had some reservations about the nSID body being too slim, but personally I am very happy...no, actually stronger than that...I'm thrilled with the nSID body. Again, was bit unsure about the new style of joints, but they are smooth in function and look neat under clothing...and am happy with 'em. Oh, @jo1961 ...you'll find the joints a bit more like the ones your Dollshe ladies have. For me, compared to the HID gal that's her, I prefer the nSID....mainly because she's lighter in weight and easier to handle.

I have given up on my flickr account and flickr in general, so am looking for another picture hosting site

My nordic little guy, Robbin dropping by to say hi. I'm soon finished to save up for his black wolf, werewolf friend F. Oscar Can't wait to order him!

I'm wondering if I should give him a real norwegian name, and name him "Sven" instead?!

 

@StrontiumDog Sorry I was not clear in my statement. The SD stood for most clothes made for SD16/SD clothes from Alice Collections or DollHeart. Most of those items will not fit the hips of the older SID body. I was hoping that some will fit the NSID body.
@Lady Tiku - Thank you for a list of the discontinued heads - I will put that in my Iplehouse file. I love Storm - he was one of my first Iplehouse males. I now have the head on the Venitu body - I sanded the neck down so most male heads will fit.


I love the photos of the older sculpts too. Keep posting.

 

Sorry, my bad. Ok...well, no the nSID body certainly doesn't fit any of the SD sized pants, skirts or shorts I have. Some larger/looser tops have sort of worked with the sleeves coming up short, 3/4 style...so it's worth experimenting.

WIth the bleaced hair he looked more like a "Sven". But once I put the purple hair on he looks more like a "Robbin" again. So I'm just gonna keep that name. Love this style on him He reminds me of a Final Fantasy character

He's wearing SD13 haremspants, DOI underwear but they are a tiny bit tight. Dollmore Model Doll transparent top, and a SD 70cm hooded vest.

 

He reminds me of the German actor, Moritz Bleibtreu

 

Thanks for the list. It just hurts sometimes to think no more Akando, Tedros, Luo, Kamau, Victor, Rebecca, Ashanti.....Some of their very best sculpts...no longer available. Sigh...

Nice to see a Douglas...that sculpt wasn't available very long either. I have two heads though, one with the scar so at least I"m covered. LOL Your guy is especially nice in this shot.




From Lady Tiku's list...I was reminded about the Victor sculpt being retired. Somehow I forgot about that one...He too was not available that long...

Last week I noticed in their doll preview that a new doll was coming so I've been "haunting" their page ever since LOL

By any chance, can you tell what breast size the doll has in the dress photos? I'm not familiar enough to be able to tell - is it small or medium?

Do Iplehouse discontinue sculpts often? In my fear that the fantasy sculpts oneday will get discontinued as well, I with worry have to prioritize geting some of them before that eventually happens. I don't want to miss the chance to get a SID F. Oscar, KID F. Lisa and BID F. Efreet.

 

the list i posted is taken directly from the notices ON the iple site.. that's all there have been since they went fro OLD yid's to the New YID body types an upgraded the bodies in general... They do it when ever they feel like it? I'm sure they have 'reasons' but you will never get a straight forward answer from them... What you see is what we know As for how they pick and when... we can only guess their 'real' reasons and timing. Just know that if they decide to chop more all you will get is a month or less notice and be able to get heads only at that time of those sculpts (hopefully... if they decide not to do this... to bad for us).

 

It won't be too long luckilly before I can order a SID F. Oscar in srs. Originally I was going to order a Luts MDF Lio, but since you never know which IH sculpt that are next to go, I don't want to take any chances

 

Because 1) they weren't selling well in at least some of the cases (edited for clarity: and they don't care to waste space and effort storing and maintaining the necessary components for ones that don't), and/or 2) possibly they either had to or decided to retire the sculpts that were made by the artists who left them to start their own companies (we know there have been at least two (sorry, three)). Iplehouse hasn't said that was the case, but that's what happened to a bunch of Souldoll sculpts a while back.

 

@Sianserais ...thank you....gosh she's beautiful. What's her name please? Oh and the lute is perfect...so cool.

 

I should have gotten Tedros when I could have, that face is so handsome, it is sad when they start discontinuing certain face molds, but I never have the money when they do

 

I would guess large bust, based on past release clothing and the few photos available.
