Artisticadelle, LOL on the Andy/Andrea thing -- I'm an Andrea (AHNdrea, bc I was born in France) who goes by Andi -- and I have long brown curly hair.

No further resemblance, though -- your Andy is WAY more cute and innocent-looking, though, hehe!

I'm trying to figure out whether there's any way for me to get Crow's outfit... I'd love to get a CDS Bichun someday, but that's not in the cards financially right now. Not looking for a tiny, not sure if I can get in on a split or something, since more ppl want the outfit than want the doll of Crow.

I've been waiting for a red pirate coat this whole series -- wahhhh!!

Still hoping they come out with a (non-Scarlet) lady-pirate outfit, with pants and a vest and a coat and shirt and hat. A girl can hope!

Oh my god this sale is giving me so many pains because Zander is only $30 more with all his options VS $30 less WITHOUT his options. Iple whyy
EIDT: added him in the car with the other things I'd need, over a hundred less of what I'll pay for him without the sale. Leave me here to weep.

 

I wish it was that easy except, I literally have $15 saved for him. I just put them in the cart as a "mock up". I JUST finished paying the rest of Lacie and Josh off, so it'll be a good while before he comes home.

 

Lady Tiku I did not notice the shipping price hike, thank you! (Yes I bought a Doria last night, just ns, no faceup). I've wanted her since the Addiction but needed to wait until she went basic. I've seen so many gorgeous versions of her since she was first released.

You have to admit that when Iplehouse does a sale, they do a good one.

 

None of the clothing, shoes or wigs I'm interested in are on sale. ????? Is it possible they didn't finish tagging the sale items?

 

The sale looks ...limited to me. On one hand, it's a good thing that I'm not interested in anything because I have some payment left off before they send Marien home.

 

I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing that there are things on sale the I want

I wouldn't put it past them to add more later, just slim pickings in the mean time I'm afraid. It would probably be easier to have an all over sale (10% everything at the til maybe?) rather than just some items to stop confusion but I guess it makes sense to them.

Trying to stop myself from buying outfits I don't need right now just coz they're cheaper ... *common sense screaming* - "walk away from the shiny new things!" *brain (or lack there of)* - "now where did I put my credit card?"

 

Iplehouse is doing a price hike in shipping? WHY????

 

I'm trying my best to resist buying Chris and Lonnie. But I have held back for so long and have been eyeballing Chris for a long time, and now Iplehouse's shipping prices are hiked

 

Oh my goodness! I've been eyeing Eric for a few months now... and of course he's on sale! I've hardly begun saving up for him, but- eehhhh- big flashy sale sign! I agree with you guys, it's really hard to resist!

 

I wish they'd given a bit more warning, I just bought a clothes order last week!

They usually do the Doll Choice sale in December -- is it officially Christmas in almost-July?

It's sounds like Iplehouse was caught by surprise by EMS' reorganizing as well--I'm sure they aren't too happy to have to underwrite EMS because of the short notice time, but wanted to do it for good customer relations.

 

I'm glad the orders that came in before the price hike are still at the old rate. My giantass Marien order will ship once I pay her off in full in a month, and it's a CH fullset since I ran a split. That would have been mighty costly!

 

Yeah ugh I'm not looking forward to shelling out $95 to get Zander and a pair of pants and boots from Korea to me once I get him ordered sometime later this year. But I guess it's better than not getting him at all.

 

Yeah it's only that with this change and with what I have saved as of today, I finally got it under $1,000 but with the shipping going up it took it back over that.

And oh? What BID did you get?

 

With an EID lady and nothing else, it is $82.20. But if I were able to get my Bibi now, I'd also be nabbing her some clothes. With her and the clothes/shoes/etc I want (13 things besides the doll), shipping comes out to $90.90. Shipping really didnt go up by much with the 8% increase. I think it was around $10 or less that it went up, if I'm remembering right.

 

Could have to do with your location. For me in the U.S. a 10% increase added on to what I paid for my Pamela and Douglas orders would have only been around $8 extra bucks to each one.

 

Hmm... I've been doing mock orders to see what the change would be (should it be showing already?) and realised that the zones have changed. Where I was originally zone 6 it's now 3 Shipping is showing as $0.00 so I can't even figure out what it would be different (unless they're now offering free postage on orders over a certain amount - well a girl can dream ) I'm guessing they're still working out the kinks in the new shipping settings.

Granted the mock up I have just done is something I'd never be able to buy in a million years - 7 DC dolls all at once plus extras from the sale - Just did it to see what I'd have to get to get every outfit I want from the limited section lol. Didn't realise just how many I wanted haha I'm so greedy

Fun to do a mock up but I'd have to seriously win the lottery to buy them all at once like that. From the calculated end cost it would be something like $8194.20 before shipping *blubbering and rocking back and forth in a puddle on the floor at the enormity of the expense* God knows what the shipping would be for an order like that...

EDIT: Anyone else get coupons added to their my Iple this morning? I was kicked out then when I logged back in a message came up to say I had coupons saved to my account and when I went in they were sitting there waiting for me. Is it time for those again? Nice timing for some people if that's the case.

And did everyone see that Crow's skull is on offer on DC if buying an EID man? So tempted to get Rex in DC so I can get the skull and still be getting him at basic price. Why Iple? Why must you torture me?

 

Probably shouldn't have done it due to the resulting heart attack it gave me lol. I would double check the zones if I were you just to be sure.

Rex and Kamau are both on my for EID guys. Truth be told though there's practically at least one doll in every size on that list lol. Rex would be the top of my list for my character Goh (Kaz's neurotic and overprotective father) but really he should be at a year or two down the line *sigh*

Fingers crossed they keep the skull in DC for future orders if you don't get anyone selling one in MP. Which reminds me I need to sort out some photos for the dolls I'll be selling there. Not buying another until they're sold so the sooner the better I guess, but I'm too busy most days and the rest of the time just plain lazy

Characterwise, Kaz and Eve have told me their stories already, as have their family (extremely large and growing larger!). As for Lucas I've suddenly got more for him than I do for Leo and Edan combined haha. He was an afterthought when I just so badly wanted a bearded Leo too, but ever since arriving his storyline has taken over. I already have 5 chapters written just regarding him alone lol.

 

Well for me, I had everything calculated and written down so I'd now how much to save and how long it would take me. Before the hike in prices Zander's shipping was $82.30, just him, a pair of hands, boots, and jeans. Now it's $95.50 for the same stuff. It's not much to complain about but it just takes me SO long to save for dolls. I hope they have another event at Christmas maybe I'll be able to bring him home then. (Josh is hoping he does NOT come home sooner lol, those two aren't friends, so at least someone is happy with this news.)


Lol and Lady Tiku, about the sudden doll who knows their story, that would be Rosalie for me. I had no idea what I was going to do with her other than blue eyes and next thing I know Andy has a little sister!?!?!? A thing he does NOT have in his book. So, um, ??

 

When I realised I won the auction for the SID Eric, I was panicking deep inside because I bought a doll I had no character for. Max told me his story quickly enough the moment he got home--it was just his wig I struggled with at the start.

 

I ordered Doria Monday Korea time-- and I just got a shipping notification ...

She hasn't even got undies yet!

 

Lady Tiku Mine has no face and is NS, which might mean she was in stock somewhere...anyway I hope yours comes soon too (though maybe not THIS FAST, lol!) I will make her something really basic tonight so she can at least have a box opening.

 

Yeah I should have said specific zone 6 and that was the one for Europe, but it looks like they've switched them around. Unless I'm losing it, which I kind of doubt as I take screen shots of my baskets and they've all been 6 rather than 3... Unless they've had to alter it for me Not sure what's going on there but hey as long as they get to me

I'm writing the story's for the CH guys after getting them as they don't have personalities to me until they are home. Eve and Kaz on the other hand have always been characters so trying to match up a sculpt has been difficult lol

Leo was originally a high and mighty noble with a stuck up attitude when I first got him. In enters Edan and he's now a blubbering gooey mess around a new lover I didn't realise he'd have Their story has been fun, but for some reason Lucas seems to have taken over since I came up with concepts for the photo contest. It's like he's telling me "My turn now!"

 

Honestly I don't know how I've had these characters established and to have their dolls fit them, Alex kind of doesn't fit, just his angry smirky expression is what changes him from the version in my head.
Lol well, in the books, the first two specifically as I'm shelling from those, Josh and Zander DO NOT get along. Zander's kind of a miserable, moody, hot headed jerk for a while and that makes a real GREAT first impression. Josh is the sweet, warm, open hearted guy who couldn't be mean even if he tried. Lacie and Zander aren't friends for a while either but at least she doesn't hold a grudge once he gets his act together.

And if I think back on it now, had I chosen a different wig for her and not given her freckles, Rosalie wouldn't have ended up as Andy's little sister. She just looked too much like him for it to not happen, and they're adorable together, if I do say so myself.

But panic sewing is the best sewing--she has a chemise now and I might even get an overskirt done before noon (sweats).

 

Haha just read the notice about the shipping charges again and they've added the details on the change of zones. I'm not going mad after all haha

Question for owners of both the SID neutral sand dress and a YID boy, would it be too large on YID boys? It looks the style I'd like for my boy Eve (Oscar) but I don't think it would be right for any of my girls if it doesn't fit so don't want to waste the money. Pics would be lovely if you have them (and want to torture your boys by sharing )

 

Just wanted to put a warning out not to splurge during the sale. I was charged additional shipping fee after I made my order, went through shipping calculation and paypal checkout and payed the whole amount given in the order form (after they adjusted the shipping price). There was no warning, nothing to prepare me for the additional fee because they had to split the order to fit them into their boxes. Something like that would be illegal in Germany. If I had canceled the order I would have had to pay the cancellation fee. Apparently it's more important for them to save the additional 40 bucks than to pay for their own miscalculation and keep future business of hundrets.

 

Yikes!! Sounds like a nightmare that is about to open up. I still would love to get the new hands and feet for my SID, but I may just wait a while instead.

 

What did you order? They've said in the past that they cannot combine two big dolls. Only one EID and a smaller doll. If you ordered two large dolls together, you should have expected them to split them up into two separate boxes. Especially if you ordered a ton of other items with them. This isn't a new thing. Yes there should be a warning in the check out, but it has been stated in the past on the IH threads and I believe I did read it some where on the IH site as well.

 

Yeah I remember when Henry came home and his was packed to the brim and had part of another box on top. I think it was the same for my Pamela since I also got her fullset for Animerockstar. I didnt order much extra with either of them... I think both orders had 10 items or so counting the doll.

I'm hoping someone who has Model and Superhero EID guys can help me out. I'm ordering some suits from Freedom Teller and I want them to fit my Superhero guy, but in an ideal world I'd also like them to fit my incoming Idealian guy. Would I be able to squeeze the Superhero into Model sized suits? Or should I get the Superhero size and hope they will fit okay on Mr. Idealian, too?

Hahaha well, I never planned to get a JID, I had no need for one and I wasn't impressed with the sculpts or bodies. But when I was at Resin Rose the lady who had a table across from mine, started setting dolls out. I saw Rosalie's legs and KNEW she was an Iple so my interest was piqued. Pretty much spent the next few hours staring at her until I broke down and went over. She was the project doll and I'm so glad I got her because now Andy isn't an awkward fifth wheel LOL. I probably won't be shelling anyone from Andy's book, so he gets to have a small friend who LOVES her older brother. They're seriously too cute together, and she's fun to have around. And thank you for the compliments! I really try hard to give the right kind of feeling to photos, especially with the dolls.
Oh wow, and hey, can never have too many Edan's around. Josh is my favorite boy, he's gorgeous and has a sweet face, I think it's his puppy brown eyes. I think shelling ONLY my oc's from one series is saving me from having duplicates because I have thought about getting another Eva on the nYID body but Ember almost rose from her box so I'mma pass haha.

That's super odd. They put both Lacie (nYIDG) and Josh (SIDM) in the same box along with two weapons and Lacie's limited outfit. Here's a photo of the box with Alex next to it as a comparison.

 

But he's an SID. Smaller than an EID (and you had a smaller doll paired up with him, not two big (as in SID/EID) dolls). If they ordered an EID and another doll or two bigger dolls (like two SIDs) and a bunch of stuff, it wont fit. Also you only had two dolls, some weapons, and her outfit right? So that probably would have been okay. But multiple clothing items bubble wrapped together plus two big dolls is unlikely to fit.

edit: Also that box your felix is standing next to almost looks taller on the side than the box Henry and Lydia were shipped in, but I'm not sure since I dont have any SIDs to compare mine to.

edit: Here's a shot of Henry's box from my box opening vid (screenshot it) from right after I took out the top layer of bubble wrap. I got a carrying bag too and you can clearly see that the top of the box couldnt shut. They put another part of a box on top of that.... so with another doll in there and all the stuff I bought, it would not have been possible to fit the stuff in there without either a) the stuff having a chance to fall out if the tape didnt hold or b) not fitting at all.

and correction, her's didnt have an extra piece of a box on top like Henry's did, but if I'd ordered anything else, you can clearly see it wouldn't have fit (unless it was something small and flat like some more clothes or shoes)... especially not another doll. All I got with her were two pair of heels, nude skin blouse, glitter langerie, luxe accessory set, a pair of nYID boy hands, a wig, her fullset for Animerockstar, two daggers, and two pocket pistols.... and they also included ARS's bambi outfit that they forgot when they shipped her.

 

Oh I just saw the "two big dolls" and thought they meant ALL the big dolls.

 

Yeah... I really think they need to clarify what they mean when they say that. I know the nYID's are still considered big iple's at 60cm, but they are significantly smaller in height and width than an EID and SID. Enough so that having one of them with an SID and some items would be significantly different to ship than say two SIDs or two EIDS or an SID and an EID together. I was actually surprised with how much smaller Lydia's box was than Henry's. I thought for sure it would be closer in size to his than it was since she's an EID too, but it's a bit shorter and not as wide. So an SID sized box could be small enough to work with an nYID box and some items than say with an EID box and some items.

 

Point is, I didn't combine anything- that would have meant communication and information about the costs. Just put in the cart what I wanted in one order, went through shipping calculation an payed. Next thing I get is an email "Iple wants to be payed via paypal" telling me the order had to be split and shipping was more. Yes, it was more than two big dolls, but it's not as if you could not programm a website to calculate this correctly or at least show a warning depending on the contents of the cart and give you a chance to delete an item. Or communicate it before the additional fee is charged, or put a general warning in the shopping cart form.

 

I have three SID boy boxes (technically one is an nYID boy box but it is the same size as the SIDs) and I could fit two of those in the giant box Lace and Josh came with, in fact, I have. I had to put Alex and Josh in there last weekend because it got so hot at my house I moved all the dolls to the room with AC. Both boys fit in there with room to boot. So I think it's just the EID men. I paid $120 something for their shipping.

 

Yes I agree with you that there should have been more of a warning, and none of us said you combined anything. Did you order two big dolls plus some stuff or? I cant find it now, but I swear i saw it some where on the Iple site or some where on here before about not being able to put more than one big doll plus stuff in the shipping boxes. Maybe you can msg them on the Q&A and ask if they would cover the extra shipping since they dont have a warning or notice posted anywhere? I think that is about the only thing you could do besides pay the shipping (cant remember if you said you already had or not). I know it is a pain especially with the increase in shipping on their end recently too... but this is something I would have thought a possibility if it were me... especially if I was buying more than one big doll plus a lot of stuff. I get that it is a pain, but there's not much else to do about it I'm afraid. They do seriously need to update the shopping cart or post a pic red warning some where... especially since the shipping isnt accurate in the cart (I thought I had seen them mention this somewhere at one point though... but I cant find it).

see I wasnt sure about the SID men but I figured with the EID guys or an EID and an SID it would likely be more of a problem.... mostly if there were other things in the order besides dolls. It is good to know that two SID boxes can fit though.
