vermont chick - I really like how you layered that sweater with a red shirt! Iple did it with like beiges and black, but it actually looks really nice with that red showing through. And it matches her pale skin and red lips. ><


Jill in WV - didn't have the opportunity to say it in the old thread.... Your Cherie looks totally amazing. Most of the Cherie's I've seen were like... pig-tails and pastel colours, but yours looks like one tough lady you don't want to mess with.

Thanks! Kaycee fancies herself a bit of a bada$$, and making her look the part wasn't easy with such a "sweet" sculpt. But our Iple resins are extremely versatile, and it can be done!

Thanks for the comments on Grace! That reddish top is (I think) called mango. It's for EID but fits Grace's large bust perfectly. As Lelite noted, it echoes the color of her lips.

Jill in WV, Kaycee reminds me of a grown up JID "I" in that photo. I never noticed the resemblance before. I love her wig. Did it come that way, or did you braid sections of it yourself?

Jany, where did you find pointe shoes that fit large Iple girls? I want them!

Thanks - the wig came pre-braided, along with my first Fin, from Domyua. It's the "Duck" brand they used to carry.

And you're right - she does have a strong resemblance to JID I... the grown-up version.

Kaycee also thanks everyone else who has commented - these pics of her are rather old, so now she is insisting on a new photoshoot. She will probably want to raid someone else's closet this time to prepare for it. :P

Yes, as a matter of fact, they do.

They are from Dollmore, in the Model F size, and they have a lot of stretch to them. They actually fit EID slightly better since the legs are rather long for the SID girls.

 

All these girls are so pretty!

Ashbet, Saba is SO gorgeous. Her face really suits the narrower shoulders of...is that the SID body you've got her on? With nYID legs? I adore her golden eyes too!

Sidroq, her parts are as follows:

SID woman:
small bust piece
torso/waist piece
upper thighs

nYID girl:
arms
hands
lower thighs
calves
flat feet

I'll have to take a shoulder-width comparison with the SID body with its original arms -- it's pretty close, judging by eye. Weslie wanted a specific body type for her custom Viera doll, so she bought two Iple dolls, and Saba's body is made from the "leftover" pieces. It was an ingenious idea, and her Viera is gorgeous!

You do need the mobility thighs to make it work -- the thigh balls aren't the same size for SID/nYID.

Quick question....

Does anyone have a medium bust EID lady and the witch hunter set? I'm planning on getting Rebecca hopefully next year but I want her with the medium bust and I'm not sure how the witch hunter set I have will fit her. Was hoping someone could snap a shot of their medium bust EID lady in it if they have both.

 

It's suposed to fit both med. & lg. isn't it? ... I hope so, I ordered it for my M. bust Luna O_o... But I won't get it for months as it's on LA with Bliss ><

 

Well on the sales page it says this:

So I wasnt sure if it would fit because it doesnt specify medium bust for EID :/ I wasnt sure if that meant ALL EID busts and then the large and glamour SID... or SID woman glamour and Large and EID large. I think it will fit... but I'd like to see how it fits the medium bust so I can decide whether or not to order Rebecca with it or the large.

 

Mr. Grumpy's eyes are Dollshe urethanes in Copper -- I love their quality, and they *really* catch the light!

 

I always read it that it fits all EID busts and just the ones specified for SID.

 

It fits them very nicely...

So since the LEEKE 8/9 wig I bought for my Luna is too big, I'm wondering if a 7/8 would fit her just fine xD Any idea if this is true? I guess if it doesn't work, Kloey has a new wig to fart around in.

 

Leeke wigs seem pretty stretchy and tend to run big in my opinion. I have a size 8" (not 7/8 and not 8/9, just 8") from CanCan that fits good. I'll have to see if I have any Leeke ones in size 7/8" I can try on my Luna. I'm thinking they would fit fine. I bought Monique wigs in 7/8" and used them on the Bianca I used to have.

 

jennspeaks-Leeke 7/8 wigs run very small (IMHO)...............I've never been able to fit them on the Iple girls. I think your best bet if you are set on a Leeke wig is to get a wig cap and use the 8/9.

Do you find the Leeke 8/9 size big for the Iple girls? That's a bummer that the 7/8 size is too small. Lovely Mari btw!

 

They aren't falling off big, but they do come down over the ears (at least with the few styles I've bought for my girls.)

 

On the subject of LeekeWorld wigs, I find it varies depending on the wig and the individual doll. That's a 7/8 Leeke my SID Grace is wearing back on page 1. But she can also wear an 8/9 with a wig cap. My nYID girls can wear 7/8; with the SIDs it varies. My EID normally wears 8/9.

What skin color is your Rebecca? You may have posted pics of her and I think I missed them - is she in your avatar? And I laughed at your signature..."being good." I have a RS Rebecca on the way whom I'm very excited about!

Thank you so much! I really like this new set. It does have a zipper in the back which makes it easy to put on...but maybe not the "prettiest" look. Lexy says she can work it still.

 

I'm waiting on an Iplehouse Leonard, because I fell in love with his nose. Anyone else ordered one? I've got a bit of a different character/look in mind for mine so I ordered him in the normal skintone, I'd love to know what other people ordered though (so I can stalk you for photos)!

 

you really need to read up on the Iple site.... no one has him yet... he takes about 2 months to make and he is new as of only a month ago.... and most ppl in here are layaway bums lol.

lol kk and yes do join that thread... there is always talk about where IH 'seems' to be in terms of production. Since I started that particular thread I have posts #2 & 3 set aside for any IH 'notice' type messages that I know of.

And as far as appropriate... if it's IH and your doll fits into the size category do join ^^.

I think she looks like a mixture of Stella's and Rebecca's features! Pretty, but I think I'll be safe

 

She is NS! I'll take better photos of her when she comes back home. Congratulations on your Rebecca; she's a lovely, versatile sculpt. My Sierra and Adalwolf's Rony are both strong redheads, but styling and faceup can really write a completely different story for her!

And no, I am no longer "being good". Leonard is on layaway now. I bought him on his last day!

When I lived out there I saw them at SF Dancewear in the shop from time to time, so I'm thinking they're a regular thing in a lot of dance wear stores as a novelty item. When I bought mine they had White,Red, Pink, and Black. I bought a red one from them. I had it on my key ring for a few years till I lost it somewhere. Danskin used to make some too as I recall but I haven't seen those in a long while. There are several other makes of point shoe key chains on Amazon but you'd have to email each seller on there for size and I don't know if they come in R or L or not. Points wouldn't be that hard to make though. As shoes go they not very complicated in terms of parts except for the blocks and that could be done with polymer. I've made simple ballet soft shoes for my various dolls several times, but I never thought to make those. I'll have to try that out. It might be fun, grin. Yet another thing to put on my list of polymer clay doll related projects...

 

Dunno if this'll help, but these should be about 8.2cm, which might work!
