Two new limited YID boys.

OMGosh they are Norwegian backpacker boys! I'm from Norway so I'm loving this

I have other YID plans though so I can't order either of them. Is Lucian a new sculpt? And will all new limited face sculpts be available later in the "Doll Choice" option?

 

Darn it... I just got a character idea for Lucian that represent a lot of who I am. I would be putting alot of my self in this doll character If I were to order him. I don't think I can resist this release

 

Go for it! If he should return later as a Basic, there is no guarantee he would have the same face-up options.

 

you can always get the face up you want through 'custom' face up so makes no diff that way.

 

Just a small increase in the price.

I'm just gonna reply to everyone at once.

The thing is Oscar is my grail Iplehouse doll, and have been for a while. I'm actually only interested in him. But I thought maybe I could make my character idea work with Lucian. I didn't think it would be possible to request another face sculpt. So I settled down with going for Lucian at first.

But I already had a character bio made for my Oscar. But the character backstory completely changed because of the backpakker set. He went from a freckled scene boy with an obsession with the color radioactive green. To a boy from the Furry and Therian community. The fox is both his and my spirit animal. So I ended up basing him on myself. Only difference is that I'm only a Furry and not a Therian. I had been in contact with IH on the Q&A board regarding my Oscar order a couple of days before the new limited release. I was pretty ready to order him next month. Then all of a sudden they released these two boys. I was sold! But there was one problem. Non of the sculpts were an Oscar And the backpakker set were like made for his character! And then there was that beanie with the Norwegian flag on. I'm from Norway so I really love this release!

So I contacted IH, and they vere very understanding and let me order an Oscar instead and add the outfit for me in the order Lucian are so beautiful though but he doesn't have Oscar's cheeky smile. That smile is very important for his character.

 

Wow, I was not expecting this! I was affraid I was gonna get a "no!". But they let me order an Oscar and the outfit. I think I'm gonna cry... I'm so happy

I'm so excited I'm gonna make him a part of a wolf and foxpack. The fox is my spirit animal, so he's gonna be a fox like me


@Rivon When IH released the new boys I was like "nuuuuuuuu IH not now!" "I was supposed to order an Oscar " So happy I can order an Oscar with the Outfit

 

I want that Black Class set. I notice you can order two with a doll, I wonder if I can find someone willing to let me piggy-back with them.

 

I was taking some photos yesterday and decided to take a comparison shot of
the new HID body and my original EID gal. Quite remarkably similar in height!
Both are on wooden based stands - their heels are not identical however.

The Iplehouse HID woman, Rebecca is March-2017 HID body in peach resin, small bust.
The Iplehouse EID woman, Carina is the original body "Bellydancer" in light brown, Medium bust.

As I wait for my FID Leonard (who is stuck at JFK in customs for over six days now...) I decided to play with my EID sized Leonards...because, they look so different.

Thanks for sharing I was wondering what the female HID body looked like in comparison to the female EID body. I feel like I'm gonna end up with one boy and girl from each of the lines xd



The ball keeps rolling xd! New ideas popping into my head. Now I think of Lucian as a white arctic fox And then I'll need a face sculpt for the black wolf

 

I've been comparing the Oscar and Lucian faces side by side. And the Lucian sculpt have started to really grow on me. Now I see things about Lucian that I like much better than Oscar.

What I like about him is that he looks younger than Oscar. That also fit the character I had in mind better since it's a teen character. I think Oscar would fit better on a SID body when I think about it. And look how adorable Lucian looks in normal skin with freckles I sat down and tried to picture in my mind Lucian with a fox spirithood and a tail on. I actually like that image so much better!

I guess I was so fixed on ordering Oscar because he's been on my wish list a couple of months, that I thought I knew what I wanted. I think Oscar actually would fit a black wolf character better and on a SID body. His eyes also remind me more of a wolf. While Lucian's eyes remind me more of a red fox. Hehe I have been studying their faces thoroughly!

This new release have made my head spin around Probabably would be better to wait with order Oscar until after I've ordered Lucian.

I think it's clear now who the winner is

 

I really love this comparison of the HID body and EID body, a slight difference in height, but they still look great. Maybe someday I will get a HID woman.

Hi all,
I just wanted to share a shot of my Carina I managed to take this morning. I wanted to take a shot of her in the snow ever since this amazing Iplehouse dress arrived, but it melted sometime ago. Then last night it was cold enough that we got a bit more, so I ran outside in the morning as the sun was coming up and managed to get a few shots before it melted away. ^^

oh that dress is lovely... too bad you weren't here... we got 'inches' of snow that stayed... In Cold Lake Sask. my cousin got 24 hours and prolly close to 6 inches... like middle of winter for a few days O_o Still.... gotta love this insane country... lol

Wow, I didn't realize another fellow doll collector lived so close. I'm from Saskatchewan myself! We had a lot of snow over winter, but in the last few weeks (besides last night) it's mostly rained. At some point I also want to take a photo of my Carina in Iplehouse's Snow Queen set in the snow, but that will have to wait for next winter likely. But then again, you never know. We still may get a snow storm again. XD

 

omg lol shut your mouth! no more snow >< and oh wow I want the snow queen set or any white floofy gown for that matter... I had a custom white set of Iples "Veneziano set" (with white pants) made and i want to do it in snow too.... it arrived last week but sick cats have eatten my time ><

lol, yeah, I watched the original when it first aired, and have it and Go-Lion on DVD. I was super excited when Netflix and Dreamworks collaborated on the new show, and so far I've really enjoyed it.

Thanks! Yes I got the white friend set. I'm gonna commission a fursuit maker later some time for a red fox spirithood and tail for my boy. I soon have my own fox spirithood and tail comming in the mail. Since he is based on myself , I wanted him to have his own fox set as well

Lucian is also growing on me too in normal skin and with that simple backpack outfit!

The problem is I had a RS Justin in the past who I couldn't bond with and therefore sold him with no regrets as my interest were on a more buff muscular bodylike the EIDs.

Now I'm tempted to get a Lucian. I think I have a couple days to decide. But that Lucian looks very sweet in NS!

 

Thank you very much! nYID is a great size; not too big and not too small. The only problem is that I feel like they are the "forgotten size" because it's very hard find clothes for them, especially basic casual clothes. But they're still great, in my opinion

 

I think about changing my dolls to smaller, and nYID looks like format I love . I sew casual clothes for my dolls myself, so I hope it will not be a problem. Thank you! I am really planning to buy a new boy now .

I have a feeling they're going to have a lot of matching clothes before I'm done shopping for them lol. Anyway, there will be twin portraits once they get their new shirts. All they really need now are some jeans that fit them properly...

I'm kinda hoping that box will be here today, but that's probably wishful thinking. Unfortunately, my friend didn't give me the tracking number, so I can't even predict when it might be here. Fortunately, it's just being sent within Canada, so I don't need to deal with customs.

Congrats on your new girl @Amelis ! I really like the colour of her wig. And it's kind of nice to see sculpts blank now and then. Iple's faceups are gorgeous, but it's hard to see other possibilities when the company doesn't always post pictures of blank heads.


My babies got new shirts They look really awkward here, and this isn't a particularly great shot, but anyway... they are very matchy now.

@PinkBear thanks!! The shirts are these ones from Alice's Collections and they're the 70cm size. Other than the dress shirt and sweater I got for Tyler directly from Iple, all the shirts I have for them are 70cm size. These are a bigger than most of the 70cm clothes I've got, though. I find the shirts and sweaters from Nine9Style fit really well, and shirts from M3 Studio (purchased from AC) are also a really great fit.

@PinkBear you're welcome! And thanks for the compliment for my boys! Just a fair word of advice on clothes, though...70cm pants are going to be too small for these guys (unless you get really lucky). It's just the 70cm tops that I've had good luck with from AC and Nine9. Finding the right jeans for them seems to be the eternal struggle, honestly. Right now they're both wearing Dollmore Glamour Model size jeans, which are too long in the legs for them, but fit quite nicely on the hips and waist

 

@PinkBear same ^^ Fortunately, when I got Tyler, I already had 70cm boys at home and therefore also 70cm pants to try. It didn't take long to realize those were not going to fit. I also learned that not all SD17 or 70cm shirts are going to fit, but a large percentage do, which is great. So yeah...Tyler and Michael have 3 pairs of pants between them; the two Dollmore ones and a black pair from Iple. I always feel like nYID is the forgotten size, because even Iple doesn't have much available for them to wear. I did find an Etsy seller who makes nYID stuff though, so when I get money, the boys are going to have shorts and pants that will actually fit them.

 

@PinkBear It's this one. She has some really great stuff.

 

@PinkBear - no prob! My wish list is pretty extensive from there and from Nine9 right now. The length of my wish list is not at all aided by the fact that there are some things I do need to get two of (such as proper fitting jeans), because twins
