Which Mecha Angel top is that-- the plain black spandex pullovers? I have a v-neck spandex long sleeved Mecha Angel pullover, but I am reluctant to stretch it out by coaxing it over EID's curves. Especially the sleeves. Those giant shoulder-joint-balls vs. those skinny long sleeves? Like a camel through the eye of a needle. But apparently, some people get it to work for some tops.

(That striped long-sleever, I think, is one of Pam's own. I love it too!)

Re fur wigs: I have an AnotherSpace fur wig, that they said was 'SD size', but it was always so enormous that I never found a wearer for it... until now. ^^ Good generous fit! Fur wigs need to be 'high-domed' enough to cover EID's big egg-shaped heads, otherwise they look all bald at the base of the skull & hairlines.

With fiber wigs, I've had almost no trouble. Then again, I have a big wigbox collected already, so the trial-and-error hasn't cost me extra. ^^
Most of the standard 9-10 wigs in the wigbox (Volks, Leeke, LUTS, KStarr) fit him fine.
I've also found a ton of 8-9 wigs with stretchy wigcaps (KStarr, Monique Gold, JPopdolls, Poshdolls) that fit fine too. Bijan's favorite is a Jpopdolls 8-9 and Radu's favorite is a Poshdolls 8-9.

 

Anotherspace2 sells a few things for these guys.

 

He can also squeeze (and I mean squeeze) into the Dollmore Model Span Sleeveless T shirts. It is by no means a good fit and you really have to heave ho to get it on but I think the extreme tightness achieved is better than the slightly baggy t shirts sold by Ip for the EIDs. But then I do like a tightly-clad pec...

If you are looking for a studded belt, I used a hume choker for mine and it was the perfect length.



Violent Clockworks (Lordjestocost on here) is also starting to make EID-sized stuff.

I have also heard that he can fit into some of the Super Senior Delf shoes, but we might need to identify precisely which ones.

I ordered a couple of Dollmore Model M size things to try out for my Kamau, with mixed results. The nice fully-lined Dragon Kimono does not fit -- the arm openings are too tight to go over EID biceps, and I don't think opening up the side seams would help: it seems narrow enough through the torso that it didn't even work well trying to drape it over his shoulders like a cloak. But the unlined Celestial Gown fits like a dream: sleeves and body are the perfect length, sleeve/armhole openings are big enough for beefy EID arms, and the cut is generous enough to fit over the massive E.I.D. torso:



This robe's actually full-cut enough that you can wrap it much more closely around the torso than I've shown here -- I was trying to see if I could arrange it for more of a seinen-hero-flashing-lots-of-manry-chest sort of look.

 

And I just found something surprising that fits the big guys -- http://www.dollheart.com/web/shop/acc/socks/sock.html These DollHeart socks, in SD knee-high size or MSD over-knee/knee-high size (I have some of each and they're identical in size) are knit and shaped seamlessly like regular human socks, and have more than enough stretch to slip on and look like men's calf-length dress socks. They're thin enough that they fit under all my Iple shoes and boots just fine -- I'm waiting for stuff from a Dollmore GO so I'll report back when I can test them out with the Glamor Model shoes.

 

Although a little snug, they can wear these shirts from Dollmore. I suppose this is for the Model size.

for my model girl and thought they look big enough for eid feet. Good news & bad news, they do go on akandos feet but only zip up half way due to his large calves.

I purchased the camouflage EID set for my boy and boy does it NOT fit! It's far too tight for the cheapo snaps. Breathe on it and every snap flies open.

On the up side, it fits my 70 cm Dollzone boys perfectly.

 

Hmmm.............I ordered the green camo EID set and it fits fine. Maybe you got a set that shouldn't have made it past quality control.

I also wanted to add that all the Leekeworld size 8/9" wigs I've tried on my guys work well.

 

And before that, someone did find that Cons made for 70cm boys fitted too. I believe they were from one of the eBay sellers. such as releaserain or sunny's wonderful world. Sorry, I don't remember which.

And an update on the SSDF combat boots. They fit beautifully and are perhaps the biggest doll shoes I have ever seen! I will take a quick pic today.

Also, if yuo are both desperate and determined, it is possible to wrestle the Mecha long, lace up boots on and do them up, thanks to the front lacing.

 

Oh that is good news...means some of those other SSDF shoes will fit!

And now that my Dollmore GO has arrived, I can finally confirm that the Glamor Model Oriental Boots fit PERFECTLY. I can try to get photos later if anyone needs them, but for now suffice to say they fit like a dream -- I actually left my guy's (very thin) socks on and still had no trouble getting them over his foot and zipped up. They're snug enough around the calf that you probably couldn't tuck in heavier pants like jeans, but thin, light silky pants that aren't too full-cut might be able to squeak into the tops of the boots.

 

Socks? Thin socks? Where did you find socks for them?

 

They're DollHeart MSD over-the-knee socks ordered from DDE -- I have some of the matching SD socks and the SD knee-highs and MSD over-the-knee are essentially the same size and will both stretch to fit over EID feet and calves. They're knit in-the-round like human socks, not cut-and-backseamed like most of the BJD socks out there, so they stretch beautifully to look just like proper men's dress socks.

 

I found a pair from Sunny's Wonderful World ((or more like I saw someone post a shot of her Akando in a pair and pm'd them immediately as to where she obtained them)). They fit perfectly! Now, of course my boy will end up with a wide collection of them in various colors...

And, for anyone else who has a yen for all things military, there seem to be a lot of those mini dogtags on eBay, and they are CHEAP! You have to get the ballchain separately (and I need to get some a bit smaller than that. 1mm should be right), but that is also easy to find.

This won't be available until November, but bjdclothes.com will have leather biker jackets that will fit EID boys and Bishonen House. Genuine super soft and supple leather (sorry vegans, we don't use fake leather), working zippers and snaps, perfect replica of a real man's motorcycle jacket. Here's a picture of our prototype;

 

Pure Drop , the person who makes outfits for Volks One-offs occasionally does EID outfits too.
I saw a green armour one at I Doll (you could try asking about it), and so far that`s the only one she has made.

Here`s a technically custom outfit of hers that I bought for my Evan.
She doesn`t do custom orders, but talking to her in person changes things alot.

I had some left over newborn socks from when I made porcelain baby dolls. They fit Luo perfectly. The foot is perfect fit, and the top comes up just at the top of his calf.
They normally come 6 pair to a package. Right now he has on an all white pair. I still have yellow stripe, red stripe, and blue stripe pairs left should I need to change him out, or get another EID guy.
The other two pair are still on my 19" to 23" porcelain babies.

 

Men of Honor shoes...a wee bit big but nicely detailed for plastic/rubber shoes.
They go right on even with sock which help with the fit.
and the outfits come with NICE accessories too.

I have a model doll tank on my Tedros right now. It's snug but it fits. So does a model doll long sleeve shirt I have.

As far as pants, I think those are gonna have to be from IH or made.

 

Oh..I tried a pair of my Mecha Angel baggy pants on my EID..and they're a lil snug but they do fit. I think with a baggier pair of pants they'd maybe fit. Might be a bit too tight for some ppl's taste. I can take pics if anyone wants. ^^

I hear that ReleaseRain on the US ebay.com site offers EID-sized "chucks", too. She only has a few styles listed for EID boys in the shop, but I hear that if you contact her & ask for a style that she carries, but in EID size, then she's good about delivering.

I'll definitely be contacting her within the next few weeks. You can count on a report-back, & pics of the shoes on my boy once everything is in-hand!

 

The pants from Iplehouse here& hereboth look pretty skinny.

Also, several options here look like they'll meet your need for skinny jeans.

 

The MIO website says the pants are 75 dollars..is that in USD or..? That's a lot for a pair of jeans but maybe I'm reading it wrong. ^^;;

 

I've never purchased her clothes, but I'm assuming the prices listed are USD.

I understand what you're saying; this is roughly double my "upper limit" for what I'll pay for jeans for myself, but I try to remember that my jeans are mass-produced in a factory that makes probably tens of thousands of them every day, made by people who make less in a day than I spend on lunch (sometimes). Vendors like Mio & PamSD (who also makes lovely EID-sized clothes) make all of their clothes by hand, and they're often made-to-order. A human-sized bespoke garment would likely cost more than an EID. ;o)

A quick word on the cost of doll jeans:

They are spendy from little producers like myself because of the time involved...on average they take 4 hours.
those little bitty pockets are murder and there is lots of double top stitching on them.
Add to that that denim is thick stuff and the designing to involved to make the item LOOK like real jeans without the thickness that is in the seams of real jeans.
Imagine if your dolly jeans were as thick as human jeans at the spot where the front pocket joins the waistband.
Doll jeans are an engineering challlenge...I don't know how Mio does it for the MSD sizes.

I don't even offer jeans in my shop any more because I can't get back the value of the time.
Especially when you can order them from Iple and other manufacturers for so little if you join a group order.
They are however worth ordering to spec if you have a particular design in mind...OOAK jeans like the kind rockers wear...mmmmmm.

 

This is going to sound very off..but I bought a pair of baby sandals size 1..they're a little short as far as length goes with his toes but overall they fit decently enough, as temp shoes. Until I can get my guys a pair of boots. I tried to order the SSDF boots but they were sold out

Doubt those pants will fit EIDs..EIDs are very big. My EID can't fit into any of my regular 70cm clothes..without busting them anyway.

He hardly fits into Mecha Angel clothes..the pants are like skin tight..and those are the baggy MA clothes. >_>

Has anyone tried Idealian clothes on their EIDs?

 

Jackie says that they fit really well as the boys are pretty darn close to the same size.

 

okay I forgot to buy shoes for my Bichun, so I gave a suggestion I read on the board a try and here is the result:

I had the same size baby shoes on my EID too! But they were sandals.

I want to get one of those baby slings to carry my EID around in. Like the ones where I can put his legs thru and he faces forward. anyone have one for theirs? Do they fit ok? xD

I haven't had one but I have seen other people with them and they seemed to work. For me I would use a stroller....for the EID especially, they are soo heavy. Also if you are going to have more than one doll it would best serve to have a stroller, which I've seen at conventions to carry bags and other items to keep your hands free.

 

Is there a separate thread to compare fit for what works on the EID Model body? I tried a search & didn't find one. This thread seems mostly focused on fitting the SuperHero body.

 

My EID guy is the model body. I think its just a mix.

 

For the super cheap person who love moccasins, these are a perfect fit - velcro up the back and come in at least light tan and brown and maybe black. I have a pair on my Akando right now. They look great.

I put a photo in the Iple photo thread (post #52) of my Tedros (Model size) wearing the recent monthly Idealian outfit... The Superhero shoulders are too big..but the Model size just worked.
