    3. She is lovely. A very different look solitude that face up :)

    4. Ooh! Shiny new thread. Grace would like to show off her DollBakery eyes. They're the blue denim.
Not sure if I posted this one before. I know I posted Oscar in his DB eyes.

    5. Take the original link you used and lick on the image icon. Remove the img indictors (they are added automatically) and remove the 'by lilsgirl2 on Flickr' part. It should then work :)

    6. just curious but does anyone own and EID woman and a 75 cm guy (not skinny but fairly well proportioned?)... I wanna know if they look okay together :sweat

    7. Hey everyone!
I am considering buying a Stella from Iplehouse, however since I've never bought from them, I was hoping someone who has owned/does own a Stella could give me some feedback about the doll! :)

I guess one of my more specific concerns is regarding the company face up...can anyone tell me (even if you own a different doll from Iplehouse) what the company face up is like. Is it good quality? How accurately does it resemble the stock pictures? Is it worth paying extra for?

Anyway, I really hope to hear from someone since I am really on the fence about whether or not I should purchase her!

      Thanks in advance.

    8. how is this lol
      /threads/ipl...om-design-pictures-vs-actual-face-ups.544412/
for the most part they are great (there is always someone who will disagree) but this is the proof ^^
fyi I send really garbled requests and have yet to have them fail to work it out beautifully ^^

fyi the first posts of most Iple threads are a gold mine for links to other helpful related threads

    9. Well since I have 0 chance at winning the auction of Iplehouse, I did a mock up of a order for Erica in PG with no makeup and no mobility joint and the shipping for USA has gone up......like $82+ up!!! Good grief, that is a lot for EMS (shakes fists and ready to launch SAM missle at usps!). I guess I just better stick to getting outfits for my SID Zera instead.

    10. New thread! New picture! Here's all my YID/SID/EIDs:

Lydia (EID NS Carina), Lawrence (EID NS), Arabella (SID old-PG Aria), Giovanni (SID LB Vincent), Cinzia (YID LB Grace), Shani (EID LB Scarlet), Edan (SID SR), Mari (SID SR), Old-Yur (EID SR), Victor (EID SR), Kitty (YID NS Vera), Emily (YID NS Emilia), Leonard (new-PG EID) & Mary (SID WS Harace).

Mary, Kitty and Lydia are sisters. Lawrence and Emily are siblings. Giovanni and Cinzia are siblings, Shani is their aunt. Mari and Yur are sisters, Edan and Victor are cousins, Yur & Victor are a couple and Edan and Mari have a 'complicated' relationship. Arabella and Leonard are half-siblings (shared mother), Arabella is best friends with Cinzia and childhood sweethearts with Giovanni. Lawrence is trying to seduce Arabella away too. I really should write more of those details down so I don't forget! They're all connected. :)

I still need some more boys though. At least two more, to pair with Kitty and Emily. And Cinzia sometimes mutters about a boyfriend too.

    11. @Lady Tiku Wow! Thanks so much for sending me this link. This has helped so much, now I feel confident in buying from Iplehouse. :) I will say, their stock faceups are the nicest I've ever seen, I am really impressed.

Does it cost extra to request a tweak to one of their stock faceups? :)

    12. Hehe love these complicated relationships :XD: They're a bit like my crew!

I really need to get a group photo of them some time, but I always only have the chance to do one or two dolls at a time before the family disrupts the photo session and I have to pack them away again *sign* What I have to do to not have them give me the 'you're spending all your money on these?' speech again lol

    13. I have a photo of an EID Woman with my friend's DollClans Benkel on that tallarse (he's almost 80cm) Loongsoul body. Would that help?

    14. It really depends on the tweaks you want to do. A change to shade/colour of make up they are usually willing to do that without further charging. For example I wanted my Bliss to have paler shade lips than her promo and they happily did that without going through the custom option.

If you want to do the make up that goes with the doll, but have the eyebrows shape from another, then simple custom makeup is the way to to go. Anything more than that can go into the special custom make up option, but you can double check with Iple through the Q&A what your request will entail if you're worried ;)

The size of the doll can change the price of the custom make up too, which you can see by selecting the drop down menus :)

      Hope this helps :aheartbea

    15. I have a Stella from her special edition release and got her with A-type makeup. It's considerably more dramatic than I would usually go for, but it suited the character I had in mind. To my eyes, it is exactly the same as their promo pictures.

She is a very striking scuplt, I think! She was my first large Iplehouse doll, and I was so impressed with her quality that I simply had to get an SID Eric to keep her company. :) There doesn't seem to be a database for her, but if you do a search on the forum you should be able to find some owner photos.

    16. I am getting SoulDoll's new tera zenith Oscal who is 75cm... I had thought an EID might go nice with him XD So if you think your friends guy would be comparable sure... I have no real clue for them really.

    17. @Forever thank you! That was very helpful I'll definitely check out their Q&A!! :D

@Sayrannah I really want to buy her - her sculpt truly is gorgeous. I'm really glad to hear from someone who owns her, since I've never bought from iplehouse before and didn't really know what to expect. This thread has really boosted my confidence in regard to buying her lol! I must say I was looking at an iplehouse face up thread before and they look great. There weren't many Stella pictures in there, but enough to show me how great their face ups are! Thanks for your response. :)

    18. Leonard / Rinian got to try on his coat the other day, so I thought I'd drop this off here:

    19. omg ... is that Crow's coat??? I need a red cummerbund now. I also need to find a way to tie a "good" hair que in a wig. Note I sux at just basic handling of wigs lol... But gods Sianserais he is.... :aeyepop::love:drool:nosebleed:blush

    20. That's why I know he's not going anywhere. :XD: It's actually the Bloody Phantom set, and the cummerbund is part of it. And speaking of wigs, I do love the curly ones, but the flyaways drive me crazy! Case in point (Monique Clarissa on Raffine):

Also a second pic without the tie holding it up.

It took me way too long just to get it looking this good. I don't know if I can stand to make it her official wig.

Aw, thanks! And as to your earlier question, I've never been disappointed with the quality of any of my Iplehouse faceups. ^_^

    21. Wow.. that coat set didn't wow me after the first day or so.. but your 'simple' styling of it makes it much more appealing. I think the cape was overkill. The should have left it off in more pics and showed the coat to it's advantage more... and the neck scarf... gone is a good choice lol. And that wig would drive me buggy in 3 minutes ><. it's nice all up and tidy but ya ... I'd never manage that lol...

    22. I seriously cannot begin to tell you all how helpful this thread has been for me! I'm kind of new to forums, but it is seriously so great to be able to speak with other doll collectors and get first hand feedback about dolls I'm considering. :)

I suppose on that note I'll ask yet another question (hopefully you all aren't too sick of me and my questions yet, haha!). Are S.I.D Iplehouse easy to buy clothes and wigs for? Will most SD sized items fit them rather well?

    23. This forum is an excellent source of answers and opinions... and I think you will find that we rarely, if ever, get tired of answering questions. :)

In most cases, neither female nor male Iplehouse SIDs are going to fit well into SD-sized clothing that is supposed to fit typical, SD13 sizes. For the best fit, you're going to need to get clothing that was made for those SID sizes specifically, although you are not limited to Iplehouse-made items. Several Etsy sellers make clothing in the SID size, especially the female SIDs, and a search in the custom-made sections on this forum should give you many positive results as well.

Be sure to check out the What Fits.....? thread links listed on the first page of this thread for more detail on what other manufacturer clothing may fit the SID sizes.

As for wigs, the news is much better: you will be fine using other-company wigs in most cases. SIDs tend to take a 7-8 or 8-9, depending on how loose you like your wigs to fit or how full you like them to be.

    24. @Sianserais Wow! Love how you've put together Leonard's outfit. This is definitely a case of less is more. He's gone from Count Dracula to an elegant period gentleman.

I don't see many flyaways on the Monique wig--I think it looks great tied up (much more so than loose). Sometimes I wonder if flyaways aren't more a function of black hair than of any particular style. Every black wig I've every owned seems to have a mind of its own. No amount of styling can hold them back and only a diligent Photoshopping of the resulting photos can make them look tamed.

    25. @ Chardy adding to what's been said. Iplehouse dolls in general defy clothing fit. of anything not made for them... It's the difference between 'average' and plus size... IH dolls are just built more solid (size wise) than most other dolls. They truly are an oddball size... but much prettier and human looking. LOL. For SID's... depending on style... Cheery Doll... they also make for EID women as well... specifically.

    26. Don't forget Freedom Teller. They also make items specifically for SID and EID guys and girls.

    27. I think it looks gorgeous even if it is a pain to manage. I have a curly Monique wig and I have no hope of taming it, but luckily that suits the style of the girl wearing it.

My small bust SID woman has some things from Dollmore's clothing section for their Model F Doll women, such as their leggings and stretchy tops, and several pairs of their shoes, so they're an option too. I know that some of their clothing will fit EID women as well. I also recommend checking out the thread that Jill in WV mentioned - lots of useful info in there!

    28. I'm a little late...but I have two Stella's with Iplehouse faceups and I love and adore them both.:)
Their faceups are slightly different. On the left is faceup B and on the right faceup C. Both from the first Stella release in PG resin.

    30. Wow, such gorgeous girls!! I know I will end up owning an Iplehouse girl eventually, they are just too beautiful to resist.

I agree that FreedomTeller is a great source for SID clothes. The quality is just incredible. I am going to be placing another order with them shortly because I just can't resist their suits!

Speaking of clothes, I received my order from Iplehouse yesterday containing some black jeans, a sweater and a nifty jacket for Will. He is now ready for winter and looking way too handsome for his own good. I have to say, I have owned boy dolls before but they were usually content with like two pairs of pants and some shirts. I have not experienced the same chill with the Iplehouse boys >_< they are so gorgeous I just want to keep buying more things all the time for them.

    32. wow, Adalwolf. She's awesome!

    33. Wow she certainly is different :D Love her face up :aheartbea

    34. Oh my gosh. I completely love your Stella's. They look so cute. I especially love the intense look they've got going on <3

And Adalwolf, as usual, beautiful doll. You really outdid yourself. At first (when I only saw Raffine's head) she struck me as a boy! Kind of makes me wonder what she would look like on a male body to be honest @ __ @

    35. Oh my gosh a new thread and love the photos, everyone is so fantastic!

So as I was removing the Wild flower set to try on some of Zera's other new clothes....well one last photo session...Cinderella.

She's cleaning the floor while her evil step-mother and step-sisters relax in the next room. Next she has to get the fires going in the fireplace! Sigh.....poor girl :pout:

Really that is the last one of that outfit, at least for a while. She has another outfit on....Love it Too!

    36. vermont chick: I figured with that ruffled shirt he really didn't need any more layers! As for the wig, in this case I probably should have said "frizz" rather than "flyaways." I find loose curls a lot easier to deal with than tighter ones.

Zaliayn: I don't regret buying it, anyway. Monique wigs are definitely some of my favorites! If only they came in more colors.

Adalwolf: She turned out great, though! Nice work!

    37. She truly is gorgeous, I love her skin tone. Iple says she is "unique dark Light Brown" skin. Maybe they are developing a new resin colour between Light Brown and Ebony, and Grace was an experiment? :abambi:

      • x 1
    38. That Grace in that color is yummy looking indeed, now where is my chocolate candy bar........hope hubby did not eat it.

    39. Utterly gorgeous. Your dolls are always fascinatingly, amazingly different - I could look through your photos for hours, studying how you bring out so much in a scupt that wasn't obvious in the company versions!

    40. Oh I missed that, but was thinking she sure looks like a darker light brown. That sure makes her really special and maybe a OOAK.

    41. OMG! :D Thank you so much for posting this! Your Stella's are absolutely stunning! To be quite honest your girls look even better than the stock pictures from the Iplehouse site. After seeing your girls I will definitely be getting a Stella. :D

    42. That is so good to know, thank you! I already have some SD wigs ready for when I do eventually purchase an S.I.D girl, so I am glad they will most likely fit her well. I have some clothes (dresses) that I am hoping will fit. Why exactly is it they can't wear generic SD clothing, is it because they are too slim or too broad? I only ask because I have a Minifee from Fairyland at the moment and her issue was she was a slim style MSD, which meant I had to buy custom clothing. :)

    43. in a nutshell they are bigger overall. They mostly share height lol. but they do not have the thinner bodies that are more typical... too broad, too thick... just generally built more like real ppl than 'model' types..

    44. I see! Okay then I'll definitely be sure to buy custom made items and source around for stuff that fits lol. Thanks for your response :)

    45. What size eyes would anyone suggest for an S.I.D? I have a 12mm pair of Mako eyes from my Minifee that I was planning on keeping for when I buy an S.I.D, since I heard that size works for them? Is this true? What sizes are best? :)

    46. this depends on the sculpt, and your preferences.... IH sends a default pair (size used is listed with the doll description). There is not really a best but rather a 'liked best' size ;p Sometimes the company whose eyes you want can make a difference too...

    47. Yeah that totally makes sense since not all Iplehouse have the same sized eye opening. I suppose I should have compared it to my minifee, since a lot of people tend to use 14mm and 16mm on that type of doll, but I prefer the 12mm. :)

    48. I suggest not buying extra eyes until you see how you like the 12mm Makos in your doll. Iplehouse dolls tend to have smaller eyes because their sculpts are more realistic. Many people go down one size, maybe more. Alternatively, a number of us went in on a special order this year for small-iris low-dome DollBakery eyes, because even though a 12mm may fit the eye opening, the iris may be too big. Below is nYID Oscar in the resulting 12mm small-iris low-dome eyes. In regular eyes I would consider 10mm.

    49. I have an Iplehouse Felix and I definitely prefer the 12mm for him... he looks much more realistic with that size, I think. :)

    50. Thanks a lot! :)

Thank you very much ^^ I wanted very masculine look so no one would call her cute or adorable even though Raffine is such a baby face girl! XD

Thank you so much! <3 And I'm sure she'd look awesome as a true male as well!! This head is very unisex imo :) I personally prefer tomboy girls too so this certain doll wouldn't be my thing as a boy, because the character is a girl who prefers unisex, more masculine look :D I don't even have a suitable enough small male body for a test, but if someone else can help? Anyoneeee???

      Thank you!!!

Wow.. Thank you! :blush I don't even know what else to say, just.. *blushing* Just happy ppl like what I'm doing, it's my passion, I hope it shows

My Raffine wears 12mm from Mako. You can see a small gap because I failed lol

    51. Wow I like Raffine as a boy :love

    52. Mine mostly wear eyeco in 11 or 13mm (10 or 12mm equivalent but more whites).

    53. You're welcome :) Loving the new photo much more detail there. I like the scars, very natural looking.

You know, I could actually see more of a masculine look to her blank sculpt so I thought you'd likely go for that kind of look and it's perfect.

I'm trying to do that with my Kaz (Marien) but I'm working with the accessories to bring it out rather than changing the face up from the basic one I got. A bit of a challenge but I shall make her a tomboy fit for Eve's companion ;)

I've just caved and asked Iple what stage my Raffine is currently at. I'm biting my nails here. I really want her before Christmas but I know I'll have to wait *sigh*

    54. I use eyeco too, mostly 11mm or Glib in 10mm. The glib are the eyes Zera has in right now. There is a pretty hazel and natural gray that I can not find anywhere else.

By the way trying on another new dress from Iplehouse the Black Chic Dress. I am pleased again that her being a small bust does not make the dress look odd or too big.

Your Oscar is very handsome!! Love his eye color so much.

    55. Oh, well hopefully my mako eyes will look good then! I will definitely take your advice and not buy eyes until I actually have the doll. In fact I don't think ill buy anything until I've purchased one lol! Luckily I have plenty of SD accessories lying around as make-shift until I actually buy a Stella and order custom stuff. :)

    56. Oh my gosh! Your guy is so awesome looking :D. The Mako eyes look amazing, love the colour! He looks like he should be a character out of a video game lol! So cool :)

    57. Thank you! The color is DollBakery's Aqua. They're a little lighter than I was expecting.

By the way, DollBakery just released its Eyes of the Month: http://www.dollbakery.com/collections/eyes-of-the-month. The color is a combination of silver and gold. The 12mm sold out almost immediately but she says she has more coming, as well as 10mm and 14mm. These are regular eyes, not the small-iris low-dome I mentioned earlier.

    58. omg the gold, silver and copper >< and I can't afford them at all :crushed

    59. I can't either, but I may spring for a pair in 10mm. If they don't fit my nYIDs, I'll see how my JIDs like them.
