E.I.D head on an S.I.D body (Iplehouse)

People have asked this of Iplehouse, and the answer they get tends to be that it works with the female sculpts -- which is why they've sold the EID female heads on SID female bodies in some cases directly already -- but not with the males. You can see some of the female heads on alternating bodies in Iple's gallery.

If you're wanting to put an EID head on the SID body, and the proportions don't bother you, have you considered trying Apoxie Sculpt to fill in the neck hole? Apologies if that's old news

But I thought I'd offer the suggestion, as that is what I will probably be doing... I am going to put a Luo head onto an SID body...

 

You're welcome! It'll be a few months before the pieces get here, but you can rest assured I will be posting pictures of him when I do finally have him home!

 

I actually think the EID women is also look a bit big on SID women body? anyone feel the same as me. If you see the picture comparison between EID women and SID women on their gallery (page 53 I think??) the EID body is bigger in proportion, so how come it can fit a smaller body like SID. Anyway I would love to have Carina head on SID body :P

Your Favorite Regret : I love Tedros face as well, but I think his head will be huge on SID men body (a bit Manga looking though lol) I just got good news from IH my Jessica is on her way home just 27 working day, I am surprise indeed (after heard so much bad stuffs about IH, so I hope my Jessica will be correctly made as I ordered) as much I love Carina face, but I still feel that her face still so similar to Jessica just a bit more smile, I have to think again about SID women, not sure what head to put ???

 

You're not the only ones who are frustrated by this! I really want Bichun for one of my characters, but the character is supposed to be very short (I want a 58cm body for him), and there's no way I can get an EID male head to work on even the 65cm SID male body, much less a smaller one!

 

I hold out hope...after all, they've released a JID version of Asa...

 

Are there any pictures of the gap under the chin with the EID head on the SID body?
I'd love Luo as a SID!

Any more new photos for this thread? My Tedros head looks small to me, even on his model body, maybe because he has a rather narrow jaw, compared to some of the other EID guys. I think he would look ok on a smaller body. I wish Iplehouse would have a body sale again.

If I wanted a SID head sculpt what is the nearest other manufacturer doll beside IPH that is height and body type comparable to an eid size that can work? I do not want to start a SID collection basically. Would Soom mega works with SID head?

EID Lahela (she's wearing flat feet, everyone else is in heels), SID Asa, EID Carina, SID Stella.

I think Lahela would also look good on an SID body, and I strongly prefer Asa on an SID body. I would NOT recommend Carina on anything but an EID body -- her head is larger than the others. She looks better-proportioned in a different wig, but her bone structure and jaw width mean that she really needs the wide EID shoulders not to look like a bobble-head. Stella looks good as an SID.

I really think she's proportioned perfectly for the SID body -- the EID neck and shoulders just didn't suit the petite Asa head, in my opinion, but when they came out with the SID body, she was absolutely made for it!

I need opinions about the IH bodies...which is better, the nYID or the SID? Do the SID ones clunk and grind like the nYID ones? I only have bianca so far, so I have no idea. Tempted to get Eva, but not sure which body.

I love all four of these girls in their black dresses. Wow, amazing. Do the outfits from the nYID girls fit the SID ones?

more and more I am tempted to get SID Violet/Stella and try out my nYID Emilia for fit on the body... but I am too scared to end up with a doll I don't like.. I don't care much for Stella (the outfit is to die for though). And if the body doesn't work for Emilia... I'll be stuck with a SID body no one want s ><... worse for me since I buy normal for my girls skin tone... -_-. I wish I had the money to spare to 'make mistakes' ... Even Erica would works since eventually I do need a full nYID doll.

 

I have Carina on a SID body, and she looks just perfect. Regarding EID male heads on SID male bodies: Most EID heads look strange on SID bodies. But someone on the forum put a Chase head on a SID body. And due to the narrower jawline, I think it works quite well...just can't find the thread. Maybe Arvid could also work, as his jawline is also a bit narrower. The neck gap, however, remains.

 

Dont order Stella just yet. Wait till the Doll Choice starts and you can PICK a head you like better. Remember Doll Choice is cheaper during the event. There's also Grace's outfit to look forward to. I wanna try to break the thousand dollar mark so I can capitalize on their meager special deal.

 

Sorry, Lady Tiku, didn't really answer your problem. There's a useful link on Iple's site that shows you the different sized heads on the SID female body. EID female, SID male, YID female, and YID male. You can go there and see whether you like it or not. Sorry, cant seem to find the link as yet. But that does give you a huge range of heads to pick from.

Some of the clothes will fit -- stuff that's stretchy, especially. I share clothing (other than jeans) between my EID and SID ladies, but I don't know that I'd buy nYID clothing with the intent of having it fit an SID, unless I'd seen someone else have success with the same clothing item. They're similar, but the differences in slimness and shape could make for a problem with something like that lovely curvy leather jacket they have in nYID size.

any outfit that fits more than one doll size is labeled by Iple to show it... example
nYID/SID - fits nYID best but SID can wear it
SID/nYID - fits SID best but can also be worn by nYID and so on... the newest batch of cloths is really good for multi doll fits

It fits (as is written by Iple) nYID-boy/SID-man/EID-woman

The lesson here is no matter what size or sex you doll is... look at all the clothing in that range male or female and one size up or down...^^ you might find a treasure for an EID girl in the nYID boys wear ^^

I love the nYID body, also the SID. I wish Iplehouse would do layaway on the doll choice dolls.

 

My SID ladies are all small bust, and I buy the nYID outfits. ALL fit! I have the nYID jackets too.

I have an Ashanti (EID) head on a hybrid nYID/SID body (she has an SID small-bust torso and nYID arms, so her shoulders are a little less broad than an SID's):
