I owned a sweater once 42 years ago...then I washed it and stuck it in the dryer... LOL. I'm trying to knit a simple one with my sister and daughter's. We're doing a knitalong . I hope it will fit! Hello everyone! I'm an Iplehouse manager. It is a pleasure to meet with people who love dolls on this forum. I'm glad to see that many other people here took great the pictures of our dolls. Those are fantastic.

I would like to listen to the various opinions and requirements of our customers and reflect them as much as possible in our future operations. So I would like to hear any idea from doll fans. Please feel free to talk to me if you have any wishes or comments. For example, “I would like to have more variety of FID dolls”, “I would like to have this concept dolls.”, "I don't like these things, because..."or you can tell about any inconvenience or improvement. I agree. We should try to make more African or Asian faces. Bichun is one of our best seller.
Actually, the resin of dark color is not easy to handle, so that's why tan skin is more expensive.

Yeah, thank you for telling me. Many customer want to purchase heads or bodies separately. We sold some heads separately as an event in the past, but it was our old rule that we sell only whole assembled doll. I will deliver your opinion to our CEO one more time though. Thanks!

 

@maro welcome to DOA, It is very nice to see that a company is willing to visit the fan forums want to listen to suggestions, I love Iplehouse and I do want it to succeed so I will make a few suggestions that I think would benefit Iplehouse and be profitable for you as a company

Thank you for listening to us, I know its a lot of suggestions, but I wanted to explain each point to show you what I mean. I always knew Iplehouse cared about their customers, and its nice to see you here

1. Iplehouse New SID + Female FID bodies are amazing. Theres a reputation that Iplehouse dolls dont pose well, but I think this is a very old statement and not true anymore. The New SID bodies are very good posers, and engineered very well, it is probably my favorite of doll bodies because they have looks and engineering.
I think the biggest and best change you did is changing the balljoint foot design on the new SID bodies, it makes them very stable and easier to handle, it is very smart. HID woman has that foot design and that is why I do not buy EID woman, I have 1 EID woman and when I compare her with the HID, she is difficult to stay still and pose, it is the foot design on the HID Woman, new SID that makes the biggest difference I truly believe. That is why as much as I liked Camilla and her fullset outfit, I did not buy her. After trying the HID woman's stability from the foot design, I never want to buy an EID woman as much as I prefer the look of the EID woman body.

2. I love that older limited edition dolls, had an extra "special" head as a limited edition like Knight Claude, Addiction vampire version Doria/Aaliyah etc. They all were sold with the regular head, and had an option to add the extra special "vampire etc" head as an option. This will make more people buy the fullset when offered, because Iplehouse does not sell heads separately. Those creative fullsets I would love to see come back some day.

3. K-Pop music is very popular now, I would use that to your advantage to get new customers. BTS is almost everywhere, many other companies make similar looking dolls and they sell very fast. The new designer for clothes at Iplehouse makes very nice and trendy clothing, I think she will do an amazing Kpop fashion set.

4. Your dolls are extremely beautiful, but what made Iplehouse stand out from all of the older dolls, is that Iplehouse made ethnic faces and did them beautifully. I think you should do that again, the newer releases, very beautiful but they all look white (which is fine, because you are a company, and after all, profit is important to continue working). I think you should reintroduce Kamau again, I see many people asking about it on forums and then find out he isnt offered anymore. I think he is the most handsome doll so far, and I will buy 3 of him if offered again XD.

More african faces, maybe even an nYID african girl or an SID african male head (Halima Aden's face is very pretty). Nancy is one of my favorite dolls, and I would love to see more asian looking ladies, maybe with a sweet expression too. Omar is a favorite to many, so I also think a Middle Eastern face is nice (I know the model you used to make him, he looks exactly the same, great job on that one!)

I know if you check sales for Kamau and Ashanti you would get discouraged, but that was back then, a different time. I think now it will be popular because if you look at the fashion adverts, and the current trends, social media etc people want more ethnic looking faces, specifically black and asian (look at the more popular instagram and social media influencers - the look is very popular now, people want to look ethnic). Every day I see people asking about companys that offer ethnic faces and people can only say Iplehouse or Granado, but the Iplehouse african sculpts are discontinued except Taregan, aaliyah, lahela etc. Im very sure people want to see more.

5. Cyborg Bianca is one of the most unique looking dolls. I think you should either reoffer that full doll for sale, or make a new cyborg. Detroit become human is a video game that made cyborgs even more popular than before, I really think reintroducing her again would not only be less work for you, but also become very popular, make sure you make her exclusive to an order period and not offer the body in doll choice. I noticed people like exclusivity, even though they will not say it, the sales prove to me that making things exclusive is beneficial, not make LE qty, I mean limited order period and then not offer it again for a year for example - this is for special full body dolls, not regular full body human dolls. There arent many robots offered, and your Cyborg Bianca is the most beautiful one, not many people know she existed and are disappointed they cannot buy her. I read she was off topic before, but I am certain she will be on topic this time, its a very different time now.

6. I think, for me at least, the biggest problem is clothes. It is very hard to find clothes that will fit your dolls, and I love the new designs of the Iplehouse clothes, but I would love to see more clothing, and specially shoes offered (the pink couture heels is the best iplehouse shoe ever)

7. Offer head options with your limited dolls, some of your limited sets are very beautiful, but sometimes the sculpt that is offered with it is not something I want to buy. Maybe to make it more fair because it is more work for you, is to have head options with your limited sets, but at an extra cost IE $50+ extra to change the head design from the default. There are many FID dolls I want to buy, but I do not like the doll head, and prefer for example Baron in the Greek Warrior outfit. Offering head options will make people buy it, and i think people will pay the extra price to change the head option.

8. Many of us noticed that you removed the head options from Doll Choice SID man, that now you can only buy SID man heads on the SID man body in Doll Choice because a customer complained about the fit. You already have a very detailed and helpful guide in the Data section that shows different bodies, with different heads. Maybe bring back the head options to the SID man doll choice, and post the link from the Data section on the top of the page. Most rational people will know the heads will not fit well, but they want to buy the head as an extra, and have the body for a head they purchased separately before, or change their current doll. You are still selling a full doll, but offering more choice which is a great thing. You can even make a poll and see what people think of that if you are unsure.

9. A lot of people love your dolls but some of them cannot buy because they have many different layaways or a company is offering a very limited and expensive doll, so they prioritize their purchases. I see many people talk about layaways etc, I think its very fair that you are offering 3 month layaway, but for some people, that is short? Ive seen other companies partner with dealers like BJDivas because they offer 12 month layaway

10. Selling heads only, I will have to be honest, will not encourage people to buy your full dolls. Not many companies offer heads only as sales because of that, and to be honest, people like exclusivity and not easy to get dolls. If heads were sold separately, I do not think people will be buying full dolls anymore. I think realistically, it is better to offer a few heads for sale, not all of them, and not the popular ones, maybe 1 head of the basic dolls each. Or perhaps allow a blank head with a full doll purchase in doll choice, but not any head, only the special/vampire etc version of that head in doll choice if people really want it, but in my opinion, it is better to only be offered with limited edition dolls so it seems like a benefit of buying the limited edition doll.

Do you offer a faceup service for customers? I have Ashanti but her default makeup became damaged and if Iple offered a repair service for makeup I'd like to avail of it

My next purchase will probably be the calico/tortoiseshell kitten, I have a saving fund set up for Gaming Heads Mass Effect statues, but I think I'll dip into the fund for the kitten

 

Hi @maro! I’m mostly just a lurker here, but I also agree about selling heads. There are so many beautiful faces at Iplehouse, and I’d love to bring many more of them home, bit I just don’t have the space in my rook for so many bodies as well!!

And when @Demonique mentioned reptile pet dolls, I have to agree! A big lizard (like perhaps an Argentine Tegu, if you’re looking for lizard suggestions) or smaller guys like chameleons would both be amazing!!

 

@maro I also am very low on space especially for large dolls. I am tempted by some of your beautiful limited dolls but unless it is a face and outfit I love, I usually pass. One option would be to make a limited number of the outfits and accessories available separately. I also like the suggestion of allowing a substitution of the head.

I would like to see more samples of faceups on various skin colors. I like the style of a faceup the is shown on real skin, but I am not sure how it will look on normal or white skin.

I like the suggestions of multiple heads for a doll but I would suggest that you allow buyers to chose either or both heads. That will allow someone who wants a body for both heads to buy two full dolls.

 

Hello @maro - How lovely to see you here representing Iplehouse - that's wonderful that your firm wants to connect with your customers for feedback and suggestions.

I'm another who would love to see an option available to buy separate heads, as I don't have a lot of space for full dolls. Perhaps offer heads separately as part of the custom doll choice option? That way the option wouldn't be available all of the time, and would be more special. Also, if you do offer separate heads, please issue COA's for them. I know that in the past, when Iplehouse held a "head event" they didn't issue COA's. But I think that nowadays people would prefer that a head comes with a COA.

And yes, more African and Asian faces please - for male and female, and for all of your different size lines. Would love to see this!

I also agree that redesigning the EID women's feet to be like the HID women's is a great idea. Also, it would be nice to have a small bust option for EID women.

I have to agree that I would like to see a longer layaway. A six month option would be very helpful to me. I would also like more clothing options. I purchased a nYID, which I Love, but do have trouble finding clothes for her. I’m afraid to spend money on clothing that might not fit. Thanks for listening.

 

Hello @maro and welcome! I know it has been mentioned already, but I would really like for Iplehouse to consider sculpting more Asian faces (male and female) in the future. It would also be great to have more shoe options (particularly high heels/pumps for the larger girls like EID~SID). Thank you for asking and listening to all the feedback.

I personally love anything kpop and turn all my dolls into Koreans! I look for Asian dolls, kpop outfits, and wigs all the time. I am very into posing and photographing my dolls. I have 4 FIDs and just got my first EID. Most of my suggestions are repeated from others but I wanted you to know that more than one person have these ideas.
1. More kpop related dolls, clothes, and wigs.
2. More Asian sculpts.
3. Improved ankle joints.
4. More clothing. I especially would like kpop and Joseon era clothes. Hanboks!!! I know Iplehouse made these in the past. I think with all the new historic kdramas there would be more interest now.
5. I wish I could order small orders for less shipping. I don't know if this is possible but I often buy a wig or two and only buy from Iplehouse when I've ordered a doll.

I too am excited that you are here and want to know our thoughts and ideas for Iplehouse. Welcome!

1) I'm very interested in buying heads separately.
2) Please offer different "head" option when you issue a "Limited Edition" doll.
3) Please allow that "Limited Edition" outfits be available separately without doll.
4) An option of "small bust" for EID woman would be greatly appreciated.
5) The new ankle joints on ALL dolls!
6) Offer a lower shipping rate if someone wants to purchase small items like: clothing, shoes, eyes, wigs.
7) It would be nice if you had a "loyalty program" where you would give discount to previous customers when they make purchases. Example: Maybe a discount when two dolls are ordered at one time. I know you offer points with completed purchases (we like it) but a larger discount would help. Another example: Give discount when a customer pays in full.

Hello @maro - it's so great to hear our beloved company is interested in the opinions of their customers. I have loved Iplehouse dolls for 8 years now, and I also have few suggestions.
1] Could you please consider addition of 3rd body option for FID guys? The muscle type looks like HID, the model type looks like SID/nYID, but what I would love to see is the EID Model body type - not too muscular, but well defined with broad shoulders and slim waist that shows the classic V shape of the back . I love that body the most of all male bodies offered.
2] Could you please consider addition of Asian sculpt wihin FID woman line? I would love to see Asa or Zera as FID or another girl with closed lips and more Asian features.

Thank you for asking! Few things I would love to see from Iplehouse:
1. Jointed hands!
2. More shoes options, especially for the FID men! Its so limited and very difficult to find. What’s up with the odd size of the feet between the model and muscle!?
3. Clothes! We want the option of buying the clothes that has been put out with the limited dolls but we don't want the dolls sometime. Its nice that iplehouse put in option to buy 2 sets but its not really enough for us.
4. Elf ears. How about as extra parts, where we can attach them to our favorite heads whenever we wish like some companies does (i.e. smart doll).
5. I’d love to see Chase and Cherie as FID too.
6. FID sized KID. KID doll that is small and proportioned for FID. FCID for Fashion Child Iplehouse Doll (because FKID really isn't right if you get my drift).

 

Hello, @maro! Thank you for listening to our opinions, and thank y'all for making such beautiful dolls--I collect Iplehouse dolls almost exclusively.

1. I love the FID size because they're more portable (space is at a premium!).
2. I agree that more Asian and African sculpts would be welcome, especially for the FIDs. Many of your sculpts are beautiful but I'm Korean and often looking for dolls for my Asian characters. I have an EID Asa on order but if she became available as an FID, I would buy that in a hot second.
3. Related to that, more non-Western clothing options would be great. I would especially love hanbok or historical Korean (or Chinese, Japanese, etc.) costumes for your dolls.
4. I would love an option for jointed hands to be purchased separately, for posing purposes.
5. I've loved a number of the outfits that come with some of the limited edition dolls (e.g. Leon, Alyssa) but I often don't want to commit to a whole new doll (again, space limitations). If there were an option to purchase those outfits separately, I'd be happy to pay an upcharge for the privilege.
6. More props, especially weapons and fashion items for sci-fi or historical costumes, and especially for the FIDs! I've also really enjoyed the ones available in the Edge of Galaxy series, for instance.

@maro Hello! I normally hang out in the FID thread, but seeing this post, I wanted to come and offer opinions. I love your FID line, and hope you can keep it going for a long time.

1. In agreement with everyone else, I'd like to see more variety in faces too. (Especially at FID scale!)

2. More clothing options for the Muscle body. It's a truly beautiful sculpt and the reason I bought my doll, but there are so few outfits that fit him! I'm never sure if the clothes for the special release dolls will fit the Muscle body as well as the Model, so good photos would be important here.

3. Related: please say on the website whether a special release outfit will fit all body types. (I'm sorry if I'm missing where it already does.)

4. If already produced outfits were made available, I would be extremely interested. That includes things like the armor and shield from FID Dane's release - they were beautiful, and I was sorry I could not order at the time he released. I know exclusivity sells, but perhaps a different color or material combination would make the existing owners happy to have the exclusive version while allowing an option for those who missed the first one?

 

Hi @maro ! It's great to see an Iplehouse rep here! It's also great to see such interest in the FIDs--I love my SID boy, but he's a special exception to my crew of generally smaller dolls. Like many, I'd like to see a greater variety in the FIDs, with more African sculpts especially and more mature-looking faces in general. More clothes, and especially more clothes for the guys, would be great, as would more FID-sized wigs. I'd also love to see sleeping heads--always thought those were super cute.

You guys are doing great, though! When I got back into the hobby after a 5+ year break, Iplehouse was the first website I visited.

 

I have the same idea with you too. Hope we can buy fid every month through doll choice system.

 

Welcome @maro I'm late to welcome you but all the same. Hope you don't get too overwhelmed! and glad to see a face of Iplehouse here finally!

 

@maro I need more males personally of the bigger variety please and more clothing and carriers for HID males please

 

I would also love to see more dolls with elf ears, especially in the FID size!!

I also like the idea of redesigning the ankle joint on the male dolls, and the female dolls that it hasn't already been redesigned on. The FID woman ankle joint is SO much easier to pose than the old ankle joint ( as is on the EID dolls) is.

I would also love the chance to have an option to purchase the fantasy heads if you purchase the regular sculpt. Example having the FID vampire Oscar head available as an option when you purchase regular FID Claude. I like the vampire heads, but would only use them occasionally, so it prevents me from purchasing them as a whole doll. If they were a separate head option available with the doll as an example I would purchase regular FID Oscar and also his vampire head as a separate head option.

And lastly PLEASE consider releasing Drake and Taregon in the FID size. I love Drake's sculpt especially, but the HID male dolls are just too big for me. I would buy him in a minute if he was FID sized.

1. Please ask your designers to enlarge Iplehouse shoes collection for bog ladies. And ask them to make shoes more relevant to today modern fashion. Your shoes are nice but they are the same like ten years ago! No I’m be real women wold wear ten years old fashioned shoes, so why Iplehouse women have to do it?!)))
2. Make more boots, sneakers, flip-flops espadrilles and other flat women shoes
3. Male high boots which fits new SID body: all your high boots are very wide for her thin legs(
4. Or make for this body new narrower feet, put its size to the standard SD feet size and give the possibility to wear other brand’s shoes which will fit on new SID legs better.
Because it’s very sad to have a doll but no possibility to bye her nice, good looking and good fitting shoes!(

Personally, I am in the market for a Korean sculpt at present, and I feel Iplehouse would do a wonderful representation. I see quite a few others have already made this suggestion, with K-Pop being the main reason. But, I would also like to see more mature sculpts, in both ethnic and Caucasian face-types. Most sculpts are youthful, but there has been a steadily-increasing interest in older faces. This, however, might prove something of a risk and might be a project for another time.

I have long loved Iplehouse sculpts, though I do not own any currently. Claude and Eric were, for the longest time, sharing the highest position on my wish-list. However, even with the layaway plan available, I couldn't hope to afford one of them. Perhaps, opening yourself up to partnerships with reputable dealers (I am certain that members here will be willing to put forward their suggestions) might open you up to business overseas and those who would love an Iplehouse doll but cannot justify shipping (reduced through a nationally-based dealer) or short layaways.

In my opinion, BJDivas are a viable option, as they are US-based and offer extended layaways that can run for 12+ months. There is also Angelesque in the UK, who I have personally dealt with as I am a UK-based collector (though, the larger market is most certainly in the US). Their layaways are not as long, but opening yourself up to the international audience might boost sales.

I hope that Iplehouse have a bright and prosperous future, and that I can proudly own one for myself one day!

 

Hi, @maro! It's wonderful to hear that Iplehouse is interested in what English-speaking collectors have to say. Iplehouse is one of my favorite companies - every time I take my SID Claude to a meetup he's the center of attention! I hope to add a YID girl to my collection soon.

For me, realistic faces and a variety of body types are the things I love most about Iplehouse. I love to have so many different options for your company's beautifully sculpted bodies. I would love to see more shapes at the same size instead of similar bodies at many different heights, and echo everyone else who mentioned wanting more non-white faces.

I would also love to be able to buy more clothes from Iplehouse! Because of the unique and wonderful bodies, very few clothes from other companies will fit them. I love the clothing items I have bought from Iplehouse directly, but there aren't very many options most of the time and I can't afford the cost of shipping a single item here and there. I would really like to be able to order a larger number of different clothing items all at once, especially shoes and shirts for the SID and EID boys.

Finally, it would be very nice to be able to order through a US-based shop or dealer if Iplehouse is open to making a deal with one. As I mentioned, the cost of shipping often stops me from ordering smaller items, and a dealer would mitigate that problem.

I am a huge fan of your dolls- I have FID through HID and adore all the sizes including the PETS! I am really thrilled you are contacting fans directly and looking for our feedback. I appreciate that!
I want to complement you on faceup and body blushing- however, I have noticed some changes and inconsistencies in the results when I compare new dolls to older or even to other owners' dolls. I would like to see that be improved. I have noticed that you listened to several of us who were not happy with the wig quality in all sizes, especially center part wigs- it has improved tremendously. Thank you!
I would really love to see more clothing options for all sizes, especially HID men & women, FID men and SID men- I think all have been left out of clothing updates. I know I am not the only HID man owner who is wishing for more clothing- modern and historical, but I think starting with restocking the modern would be so appreciated. Also shoes for all sizes especially the men. They seem to either out of fashion or completely out of stock. I am excited to look at the new women's shoes! I was thrilled to hear that the large women have new shoes options.
I would love to see more options for feet- like what you have for FIDs: high heeled feet for the SD sized girls; I would love to see Ballet Pointed feet for both men and women, as well as heeled feet for the men so they can wear historical heeled boots and shoes or even modern styles.
I have been so happy with my new SID women's body- it poses so beautifully, but I am no less a fan of the older SID body. I would still order that depending on the character I was creating. It would be nice to see some updates in the original SID body.
I am also a huge fan of the HID bodies both men's and women's. Both pose so well and I prefer the HID women's to the EID personally- but again I am not opposed to the EID option.
I love my Iplehouse dolls, and I am so looking forward to whatever new and exciting dolls or engineering or design you all plan to bring to the company!

I would love to see Iplehouse partner with @BJDivas, if possible! This would enable a wider market reach, as many bjd doll hobbyists and collectors feel very safe purchasing through @BJDivas. They are very friendly to work with and respond promptly to inquiries! I believe they would make a partnering / dealer relationship very easy to navigate and doing so would definitely help benefit Iplehouse. ❤️

Most of the stuff I would like to see has already been mentioned, but just saying it again to show more people are interested.

Would love to see Iplehouse work with a US vendor that makes it easier to get our hands on the dolls (Like BJDDivas, who lets you have extended layaway's)

Would love to be able to buy just the heads. I have a few dolls I would love to have multiple heads for to change up their style. Mostly I would love to commission someone to turn an Arvid head into a sleeping head. I have 3 EID Arvids, and just cant justify purchasing three more to give each a sleeping head. And would love to have more heads for my HID guy, With his size, I dont want a second massive body, but would be nice to have multiple heads for him.

Also better ankle joints for the boys. I really love Iplehouse bodies, but the ankles are just not sturdy enough to bear the weight of the big guys. would love a round joint style like the newer FID girls.

Also, I'd love to see a better ankle joint and more realistic feet. More clothing options are always a good idea. and being able to purchase heads separate from the bodies would be great. It's super cool to see a company representative making direct contact with buyers to see what we want, I'm sure lots of folks appreciate it.

Iplehouse was the first company I found years and years ago when I first discovered bjds, I didn't get one then though for the same reason now. They're really expensive.

Now this isn't a suggestion to lower prices, because now that I'm in the hobby in earnest I fully understand why dolls are priced the way they are and I know your dolls are absolutely worth those pricetags!

But, like someone else in the thread has mentioned: longer layaways would be awesome.

There's an EID I'd love from the Free Choice event, but even with the 3 month layaway Iplehouse offers those are some pretty hefty payments.

I know historically Iplehouse hasn't worked with dealers, but I think working with a dealer like BJDivas with their 12 month layaways would make your dolls more accessible and help you sell more!

I can promise for myself at least, that if I could get a long layaway (and cheaper domestic shipping) through a dealer, I'd have some Iple on my shelf.

Even though I don't own an Iplehouse right now, I love the work your company puts out and would love to keep seeing more of it.

 

Like others have said, I would like more African sculpts, in all the sizes of dolls, and I would love some southeast Asian faces.

Secondly, I wish the fashion doll was 1/6 scale, rather than mature 45-50cm. I tend to buy 30cm and smaller dolls, but don't just want baby faces. I understand if that's not in Iplehouse's vision, but I hope that in the future there are smaller-stature, mature-looking dolls with the same realistic sculpts that the 60 and 70cm dolls have.

I have agreed with what many before me have mentioned, and shall reiterate my personal wishes & suggestions below:

Market Expansion via Vendors & Dealers

• As cited by others, US based BJD dealer, @BJDivas are an excellent option to consider in efforts to expand Iplehouse's market and appeal.
• Increase in product accessibility to overseas clients may help reduce the demand for illegitimate, falsely branded Iplehouse products.
• Through third party-partnerships with dealers, allows clients with varying financial budgets to purchase Iplehouse products through payments plans and extended layaway. This may help minimize loss of potential clients and increase client retention.

Availability of Separately Sold Parts (i.e. Heads, Bodies, etc.)

• To a limited extent, offering items that can be sold separately presently has high interest from many fans.
• This is an understandably controversial suggestion: make available certain head-sculpts for limited periods because the business goal is to encourage majority of fans to pursue purchasing full-doll sets (If cost is an issue for fans, offering extended layaway may help relieve this issue)
• In some cases, the heads sculpts have been observed to be more desirable than the body sculpts. Namely, male nYID, SID and EID body sculpts have been criticized for being too bulky to handle and the lack of flexible pose-ability can be troublesome. Although, costly, it may still be worth investing time to consider updating body sculpt tailored to current tastes derived from a survey

Access Untapped Markets & Under-represented Cultural Communities

• Taking cues from pop-culture may help with the market relevance of Iplehouse (i.e. music, movies, fashion, etc).
• It may be worth considering aesthetics from under-represented ethnic backgrounds (I advise to apply with care and responsibility to avoid cultural appropriation)
• KPop aesthetics are culturally prominent right now. Many KPop fans desired to have dolls that resemble their favorite idol (i.e. Long Distant Memory and Mattel have created BTS - inspired collections that have had capital success)
• Street-fashion and techwear fashion, Hypebeast fashion are beginning to have broad appeal - incorporating this in the Iplehouse fashion collection with complimenting accessories may help enhance Iplehouse' current fashion line-up
• These additions may benefit the FID, nYID, SID and EID lines. There's personal interest for male Kpop-inspired dolls in the YID and SID lines.
• Fantasy-inspired editions have potential for great market appeal as well: vampire Male Kpop-idol offered as a limited fullest doll is an exciting option for Iplehouse to add

I considered buying a doll from you this last month but what made me go back to Resinsoul was their ability and willingness to make a doll customized to my wishes.

One thing I enjoy about Resinsoul is the ability to say I want X head on Y body. And I can say I want this style elf ears on this head and for a fee they will do it no questions asked besides what ears on what head in what color.

There are a few heads I love but I am not crazy about the body they come on as default, or the lack of/style of elf ears. Which is a bummer for me and for me it's a big factor in me making a purchase. I don't mind paying a custom fee to make sure I get a doll I want and not having to settle for something.

For example I love the Soo head but in order for me to buy her I want company done elf ears. I don't like the idea of having to send my doll out to a artist after I just get her for that extra customization.

Also more resin colors, pretty white skin is fine. But this time I went hunting for a tan skinned doll and unfortunately many companies don't offer all their resin colors on all their dolls. I think Soo would look pretty with darker skin but I can't order her in anything but the 4 default skin colors. And I don't want to always wait around for a event. Resinsoul asks for a resin color fee which I happily paid so I could get the skin color I wanted.

As you can see all my feedback drops firmly into the offer customized dolls. Even if it takes longer for that dolls production, let people customize and I am sure they would be happy to wait extra time.

Also (I have looked and can't find it so it's it's hidden sorry) being able to buy just a body for that floating head we have laying about would be nice as well. Replacement hands and feet are all well

And honestly I am hunting for a werewolf doll as a bucket list doll.

 

@maro Welcome! I am one of the many Iplehouse fans here. You have such beautiful dolls and I love them! Some things I would love to see have already been mentioned.

1) Dolls with more Asia, Indian, African, Arabian, and North/South American features would be great. Your team has produced beautiful molds in the past, and I know the darker resin is more costly and fickle--but the dolls you have had in the past are amazing!

2) I also like your pet dolls and would love to see more options there. (I know there is probably difficulty there) but I'd love a few more dog breeds. Maybe even a wolf?

3) I'd like to see more fantasy and regular parts optional for purchase apart from full sets. Feline/Canine ears and tails, etc. Also, I absolutely adored the Luna catgirl head. I'd love to see more faces like that.

4) I would love a YiD body that is more slender for boys and girls, like the new SiD body that is offered. Seriously, the new body might be my favorite yet! And I love that you can get the more curvy body or the more slender one.

5) I would also like to see bodies and head able to be sold separately. When you had the retired molds as heads, I definitively jumped at the chance to get them and it was an awesome deal. Now I would love a nSiD woman body to go with it, but currently can only get one second hand.

6) @BJDivas is a dealer I have worked with several times who has been absolutely fantastic. I feel negotiating a contract with them to be an approved dealer could definitely increase sales. I completely understand the limits of the Iplehouse layaway, and I am very grateful for it, but with a dealer who can offer an even longer layaway it makes dolls that I have had to pass up much more accessible, which benefits both Iplehouse and the customer.

7) More Clothes for YiD and SiD. I miss the simpler clothes like sweat pants, boxes, and things like that. While there are so many beautiful outfits, some more casual and less costly apparel would also be a great way to boost sales.

8) I have no idea if this is possible, but I'd love to see a team up between Square Enix and Iplehouse. With all the different races I think that could make for some awesome dolls! I play XIV so I could only say the races there, but a doll that resembles a Lalafell because of the odd proportions. I feel it'd be a blend of the CREAA and BiD line. Anyway, if a license deal was worked out it would be a great source of revue for Iplehouse and Square Enix. (Not to mention the advertising! Square is VERY visible with their promotions and collaborations.) It would also give those of us who shell characters a chance to shell some of our lalafells.

9) Jointed hands for YiD-HiD! Iplehouse has such beautiful hands--I'd love to see what they'd do with jointed ones.

I know ultimately there will be things suggested that are not possible (or not yet possible), but it means a lot to know you are open to ideas. As a long standing customer with over 50 of your dolls, you are most surely my favourite doll maker.

There are several things I would like to see :

1, If you decide to sell separate heads, a neck/chest piece to display them on like classical busts.
Why have beautiful art tucked away in a box.

2, Jointed hands have been on my wish list forever.

3, Carriers for the HID size, it is frustrating not being able to take my boys to meets and show them off.

4, Because of the huge currency changes here in the UK, prices have almost doubled for us.
If you were to offer longer layaway plans the dolls would be available to more people and there would be no need to use dealers.

5, Shoes and clothing needs to be addressed across all of the sizes.
I understand you have down sized but make it easier for the shopper to purchase the right size clothes as you have done in the past.

6, Maybe as a 25 year anniversary offer you could offer a chance to purchase any of your discontinued sculpts for a limited time. I’m sure there are dolls in your past new collectors would love to be able to purchase.

7, I love how in the past you have bought dolls out in a themed storyline.

8, links to other company’s that make clothes/shoes/wigs would be helpful if you decide to not make your own.

There is probably one thing I would greatly love to see, is to see iplehouse be more accessible to the US I know that perhaps distributors have maybe reached out to you in the past in hopes with working with you, i for one would be so happy to be able to finally purchase your beautiful dolls through @BJDivas to be able to finally bring home a EID Leonard!

 

I would love for Iplehouse to consider having BJDivas be a representative for them here in the USA.

 

Welcome @maro It is so nice to see that a company is reaching out directly to their customers to try and meet their needs. A very practical way to improve their business model.

I love your dolls very much, but I find your financing options to be limiting in getting more of them! As many have said, creating a dealership relationship with @BJDivas would be quite beneficial. They are kind, trustworthy, and offer layaway options that would allow more people to purchase more dolls, including myself! Not to mention, many collectors often choose to go through a dealer in the US or EU for new dolls instead of ordering direct. Many like myself often lay our hopes on finding a doll second-hand in our home country before considering ordering direct. Having a trusted US dealer like BJDivas would be a natural extension of your business, one that many other doll companies have been taking advantage of for years now.

I would love the opportunity to purchase heads and bodies separately, or perhaps additional heads with full doll CDS purchase. (With Certificate of Authenticity per head would be most ideal)

I'm a huge Iplehouse fan and I can say that it was your beautiful dolls that got me collecting BJD's.

it's been a pleasure to deal with you and I really appreciate every time you have taken time off your busy schedule to work with me and to help me with something that I may not understand or have questions about.

Lots of people have made great suggestions. I would like to add mine to theirs in support.

1) Thank you so much for bringing back the old LT brown skin. As my favorite was the old lt brown. But It's wonderful to have two different choices for brown skin and I hope you do keep both for us to keep choosing from.

2) I agree with some in getting other heads thru CDS with the SID body. I know someone complained, but there's a lot more that love having that option open to choose from.

3) It would be nice to have heads and bodies sold separately. Sometimes we have Extra heads, like Fantasy heads that were sold with the full set that want their own personality and body. They don't always like sharing.

4) A longer layaway would be greatly appreciated. I know you had your reasons, but it's at time hard to be able to get these beautiful dolls with a down/1st payment and then two months of payments. Perhaps giving us an extra month, like 3 months, like it was before would be a bit helpful.

5) Oh Elves. Beautiful Elves. I know you made the girls, but give us some boys. Yeah.

6) Please keep both the model and Muscular bodies. We have different tastes and some like the model bodies while others like me, like the original bodies.

7) and lastly clothes for them.
