    2. They're both gorgeous, @luluna , have they changed the colors since ... um.... changing the colors? LOL. I mean the difference between my old JIDs and my FIDs is 8 years, so.... I thought there was only the one color change, LOL :D

    3. Hehe yes, because now I have no idea which color to go for. I'm going to use the internet for help. Found some image references here.

Guys with Long Blonde Hair | Men Hairstyles

I really like number 1. If I went for a character like that I'd go for the RS tone. But I guess number 7 there, he's a bit more like how I have I envisioned my goofball of character to be. I'm definitely going to make him Swedish like "Viggo Rolig". And the guy in that image seem to have a bit more pinkish tone to his skin as well.

But the scary thing is that I can be so certain I know which color I want him in. Then later regret my choice. I really hope that won't happen. Like I said, it's going to be a real tough choice, but I'm glad I have my PG Sierra. She'll be able to help me a bit with my choice.

Thanks so much :) Your boys are gorgeous :D Ah, this is going to be so difficult... It's just a color but still :sweat What I like about the RS tone is that the character get a stronger look. And the PG tone, a more gentler look. But I also think that the PG tone would go well with a character who are going to be a bit of a goofball.

I'm thinking, surfer (RS), and snowboarder (PG). I did start planning for a surfer like character months ago. I meant to give my surfer a small monkey pet. But if I go for a snowboarder character In want him to have a ferret. Hehe, now I'm just thinking out loud, but I feel I'm leaning more towards the snowboarder. I might even name him Viggo something :kitty2

    4. Thanks you so much! :XD:

I forget the year they changed their mixes...but they went to a more opaque mix....and then lots of people complained and then later they released the Glow resins as is GlowRS or GlowPG to make them more translucent like the original mix.

@manabusama - Thanks you! I think your thinking about the differences for a characters you are shelling can help you decide. I adore both resins.

    5. New thread inauguration picspam! Yay!

Heather (Rachel), the newest member of the crew, finally got her own wig the other day:

    6. @luluna - great looking brothers. Also goes to show how different resons change the way a sculpt looks.

@Jany -oh yes, Heather's hair is lovely. Like that style alot.

    7. @Jany , Heather looks so studious / serious, hope I got that right :D She's so subtly beautiful :D

    8. @Jany - Congrats on Rachel joining your crew. She is so beautiful. Looks like the crew is waiting in the background to welcome her home.

New thread photo - my Zera.

    9. @Jany I love the faceup and wig on Heather, especially the lashes. She looks so realistic! You've done a wonderful job with her.
@LaurieESW That dress is fantastic. The fabric is really well scaled for a doll--where did you get it?

I have no idea how you all get such fantastic photos. Found some teeny tiny pumpkins the other day and tried to do a photoshoot with them, but I don't think any of them really turned out. My apartment's just too small, I think, and there aren't any really good backdrops. I'll need to work on that, I suppose!

I did, however, snap this one of my Claude looking like the pumpkin is maybe a bomb. It made me laugh even if it's not the best photo. Good lord I need to apply myself and think of a name for him....

    10. I have a PID in the original PG and it is a very glow like color, but my FID that is in the new PG is more pinker in color. Also my Zera that is in NS has mellowed some compared to my NS JID Ryan who I have had the longest is not that yellow that I can see.

    11. I absolutely love Iplehouse! Thank you for sharing your pictures!!

    12. She's so pretty :kitty2 Love that dress! Where did you get it from?

He's so handsome, and that fiery hair looks so cool on him :D I want a character with fangs and pointy ears too :XD: After I got my YID Lucian, and before I went the fashion model character route, I had plans to get a F.Oscar and make him into a werewolf character. I think I need to think about that character again soon, but I have so many plans :sweat

I know what you mean about the pictures. I also have limited space to take my pictures. Often I end up using my bed. And currently I only have my old iPad to do the pictures with.

    13. Thank you, Zera was my first 'big' Iplehouse doll so she is very special. I made the dress. I was browsing the fantasy costume fabric and saw this fabric.

    14. New Elder lady Leda on the way, I wonder if she will be in the Greek theme? I really wish for a Medusa heh but I guess maybe Aphrodite or perhaps Athena would make sense if shes coupled with Baron

She has an interesting description "Leda has a value of being loved from god!"

    15. Sharing a photo for the new thread...my friend Ellen and I got together the other day. This is her beautiful crochet work and I made the caftan while she sat and made jewellery. A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon...then a photo shoot to follow. My Bibiane (Paige) models...

    16. Thank you! She nicked a wig with a similar style (and the Magical Wig That Suits Everyone (tm) didn't suit her at all because it has bangs and this lady does not do bangs) so hers had to imitate the nicked one. :3nodding:

Thank you! I'm getting a bit of a McGonagall vibe from her, which wasn't really the plan, but I'm not complaining :) She's definitely not one to cross.

Zera is super pretty! I love her dress :aheartbea
Thanks about Heather, she's already trying to claim the title of Queen Of The Doll Shelf ... this could get interesting!

@lessyface that's hilarious! Claude is such a cutie. Backdrops help, but a plain door can be enough for a neutral background. For me, the problem is light (my ancient point-and-shoot and artificial light are sworn enemies) ...
And thank you about Heather! :blush The lashes were a find of @Lythtis's, I got some in a trade at the last meetup. They were a bit fiddly to install as they were made for humans and don't bend as easily (and Rachel has very small eyes even by Iple's standards), but once they're in, they're amazing.

    17. Hi everyone! It may be hidden somewhere in the discussion so I apologise if I'm putting an old query... Is there some footwear that fits large Iplehouse women available from current sellers (other than Iple)? Thanks for some tips!

    18. @LyanneNZ Paige is absolutely gorgeous! I love the way she’s styled — the bright orange against the dark resin is Perfection.

    19. Sillion if you have the newer slimmer Iple feet then there is plenty of choice as I bought some from Iple for one of my girls and found that heels my old Supia and Elfdoll used to wear which were too tight on the old wider feet now fitted easily.

      • x 1
    20. On ebay there is a seller called He-meife, they sell shoes for 1/3 size BJD, SartoriaJ also sells shoes on Etsy and their website for Dollshe and Iplehouse dolls, there is also Sweetiiger on ebay that makes shoes for SD16 dolls with heel feet, hope this helps.

      • x 2
    21. That really does sound like an awesome way to spend the afternoon, @LyanneNZ! Wish I had someone to craft with!!! How cool! And the results are amazing!

OMG, a young McGonagall what an awesome idea! You just KNOW she had to have an exciting life before Hogwarts, and you can tell the story any way you want! How cool!

Sorry, I'm still ignorant on most shoes :(

    22. Thank you for referring to me so I was able to see how the lashes do look inside a dolls head <3 Although I was the one who looked for fake bottom lashes on ebay, I did not had the time/energy to try them myself :(

    23. Thought people might be interested to know that there will be new clothes coming soon, they told me the clothes coming for Leda will be available separately instead of being exclusive to the limited doll.
Maybe Leda is not part of the ancient Greece theme because the clothes are not tied to her.

I dont think there is too much excitement for Leda because I dont see talk about her anywhere. Im verrrrrrry hopeful. I think she will look the actress that plays Gogo in KillBill.
I will be very happy if it is because I was talking with a friend here that I wanted a sculpt that was asian but with a bigger rounded nose and specifically referenced the actress

@LyanneNZ perfect autumn photo I love all the colors and that the crotchet work is very tiny and nice

@LaurieESW Your Zera is very beautiful, I always love that the sculpt looks eurasian or biracial to me. Her eyeballs look amazing, those eyes really transform the iplehouse dolls. The default Iplehouse sends them with makes them look like dolls to me.

@Katushka_Nitok Shes sexy, like a jazz singer in a night club

    24. @derilan85 thank you so much! I recently purchased some shoes from He-meife for fashion sized MSD but I was totally unsure if the SD sized will fit to Iple girls as they have really wide feet. So I will give it a try.

      • x 1

    25. Thanks for sharing that news from Iplehouse. There are a lot of new resin shoes in the FID size. Wonder if they might be getting new things in for more than one size? I am very much looking forward to seeing Leda.
Yes, Zera does have a eurasian, biracial and even Native American look.

    26. @derilan85 Hi again. I checked Sweetiiger shop and found that they claim in the product descriptions that Iplehouse doll cannot wear them
Did you try those shoes on EID /SID?

@avrilpaeony Thanks! My two Iplehouse girls - HID and SID are both bought in course of last 12 months, so I suppose that they have the new type of feet. Still, their feet seem to me pretty wide ... I have no comparison with other brands of dolls :(

    27. @Sillion I hate the shoe options so I got my dremel and made her feet thinner so it can fit into sd16 / general high heels for SD dolls. She has the new feet (HID woman) but it is still too wide to fit the general heels for BJD

My doll is white skin so the resin inside is still white, Im not sure if its a good option if its a darker resin doll

Its not going to look pretty, but it is an option if you are desperate enough. You get the rotating dremel and swipe it against the foot on the side, I kept doing it until the foot fit into the shoe properly. Wear a mask if you are going to do that ofcourse.

      • x 2
    28. I did some research before Rachel arrived and was told that the old and new feet are the same size. Iple changed the ankle joints, but not the size of the actual feet.

      • x 2
    29. The new feet are slimmer across the toes as I have both old and new and the new ones can fit into shoes that the old ones do not, I am sure when they brought the new ones out it was agreed there was a small difference.

    30. There is a tiny difference and a friend has been able to use some SD 13 shoes (referenced below..but note my Lahela is older and has the original feet) but the lovely SD16 shoes...I can't get those to fit on my newly arrived HID's heeled feet. There may be some possibilities where you could stretch shoes or work on strappy sandals but the two pairs I tried ... the feet were just too wide.

I so wish some of the makers of these stylish shoes would make them to fit Iplehouse's wider feet.

I had started to remove some of the side of my Pamela's feet too in the hopes of getting her into some of the SD16 shoes I have but I haven't finished that particular project yet ;)

    31. I’ve actually had the opposite problem with the new feet. Some of the heels (SD16 size) that I could get on my old EID feet I can’t get on my new EID (or my nYID girls, for that matter) feet.

    32. Oh really? Hmmm...well I will try on everything I have then in the hopes that something might work. Its a frustrating problem and while I'd love to learn the art of making shoes as well I am stretched too thin with other dolly endeavours ;)

    33. Thank you all for this discussion!
Well, the option of the grinder doesn't sound so bad... (for the case of despair ) although I'm afraid this can damage the shape of the toes.
It's curious that makers don't make shoes fitting to Iple dolls since they are so popular among collectors, and vice versa why Iplehouse hasn't change their feet proportion as they are subject of... well, some difficulties.

    34. Leda is released and she does not look like anything I imagined lolol :XD:

I thought she would look like Chiaki Kuriyama based on the teaser but she looks like Isabel's older, kinder and more popular sister, the favorite and reliable daughter. European looking royalty.

The outfit is available separately in the doll choice option parts, and her head is also there if anyone wants her on a different body. Personally, I think she would look great on the SID body.

@Sillion well......... my HID woman now has 4 toes, almost 3.8 lol but she can fit SD16 heels better now so it does not bother me. She can stand in them with a stand, but because HID and the new SID ankle is different from the other doll ankles from iplehouse. Heels open toe is fine, and so is regular heels, but i dont think strappy sandals is a good idea haha

    35. So I went to check out the new addition and wow she is pretty. I cannot afford another doll though so I will have to let this beauty go.

    36. @GreenTeaSlug I am tempted by this option...ouch! But anything to wear those stylish high heels, right? It might be worth buying extra feet to maim for that purpose hehe...off to price up some spare feet ;)

    37. Glad you messaged them, cause I was about to purchase some of their shoes. Well at least the others make shoes for the EID and SID ladies.

    38. 1. New dolly in my email inbox: Oh darn, you already know!!! Leda!

      2. Just stunning, @Katushka_Nitok , you are nothing short of amazing!

      3. Another gorgeous shot of one of your Ayliahs, @LyanneNZ!

Finally, I'm an idiot, LOL. I found this thread I guess from looking at the Large doll discussion list, and didn't realize I wasn't getting notifications because it's a new thread! :doh LOL, Ugh!

    39. Hi all, i’m waiting for my bianca grey fantasy with makeup (doll choice) i’m so excited :D, i ordered her the 7th september, do you know how long it takes?

      • x 1
    40. OH gosh it's been such a long time since I got a new Iplehouse doll, but last year, I think the wait was around 3 months? I hope it flies by for you, @DollInk

    41. Leda vs Isabel comparison. Leda is pretty but seems very similar to Isabel. The nose is almost identical. Personally I still prefer Isabel but I’ll withhold judgment until I see some owner photos. Leda could look great with an alternate faceup.

@IngieBee lol, don’t feel bad, I initially did the same thing with the new thread... I thought the forum had just been really quiet :XD:.

@DollInk congrats on ordering Bianca :thumbup... I hope the wait time flies by.

@GreenTeaSlug Thats one way to make a shoe fit :thumbup. Sounds like a good option. I’ve not been brave enough to try a dremel yet :abow:.
Yeah... I was expecting a different look for Leda too. She definitely looks like Isabel’s relative :XD:.

@LaurieESW Beautiful shot of Zera... I really like the eyes you choose.

@LyanneNZ That does sound like a nice afternoon... your friend’s crochet work in gorgeous. Paige is lovely... Is she in light brown resin?

    42. @PennyDes - Thanks for the Isabel/Leda comparison! I thought Leda looked like Isabel. She's also young looking and to me seems to work better on a SID body...not the EID.

I know I'm probably alone in this...but I miss the old hands. (I wish we could at least still buy them!) As they could hold stuff. :XD:

    43. Leda looks really young for the EIDW body, I thought she was a SIDW at first. Maybe I can work on getting a EIDW next year, been shifting some dolls that I don't do anything with......which is so unlike me.

    44. You’re welcome :). I think Leda would look better on an SID too... maybe even nYID. Her head seems a bit small for the neck and shoulders of the EID.
You are not alone... I’ve always admired the old SID hands but put off getting them until it was too late.
I love your picture of Eva, she has such a sweet expression. I sometimes regret not keeping mine.

@derilan85 Totally agree, Leda looks better suited for SID. I hope next year you’ll be able to get an EIDw like you want :)

    45. Well, although I agree that the heads look identical, their mouths are slightly different. Isabella has the wide lower lip and tight upper lip bumps (I know there is a word for it, but I don't know it, LOL) and Leda seems to have her upper lip bumps farther apart and lower lip in more of a center dip.

But yah, wish they'd make more pronounced variation between the sculpts...

@luluna is that a Mari? I can't place her! She's stunning! NO! Is that Eva? Please do tell! Seldom see Evas???

Would LOVE Eva spam please :D

    46. @PennyDes and @IngieBee - Thanks so much!

And yes IngieBee she is an Eva. Her faceup was done by SDink.
In fact, I've managed to acquire a few Evas over my collection...here is another one since you want to see Eva.:XD:

    47. This is a lovely example of an Eva and so different from the other one. They are both beautiful!

Thanks @PennyDes for the comparison pics. Yes they could be sisters. I'm keen for an Isabel on the new skinny SID body to try it out :)

    48. @luluna , Eva was my first love. I've decided to move over to the FIDs for my Iplehouses, since they're a wonderful size for me, but if they don't make a smaller Eva soon, I'll have to save up for one I love her droopy eyes (which sounds awful, LOL)! SDink is amazing! I love how different your two Evas look! So pretty, both of them! It was her eyes that gave her away :D

    49. @PennyDes These newer sculpts make me treasure the Iple classics even more.

@luluna She's lovely. For some reason I always imagined your Eva as Swedish. Even if her name is Eryn.

      @LyanneNZ Another great picture.

Ever since I found this green muslin I wanted to make a tunic for Tristania, and almost six months later I eventually made it. It looks exactly like I thought it would.

    50. @ResinRapture that is just gorgeous! the scale is perfect and the drape, perfect, details amazing! I'm in awe!

    51. @IngieBee Thank you :). It's rather simple-and I just saw that one sleeve went up her arm. Oops. But I had such a bad conscience for letting her wait so long that I am really glad I finished it.

It's funny, I usually have something I am working on, and usually not a day goes by without picking up some needle work. Very Jane Austen, really. But some of my dolls seem to get all the new stuff while others seem to be quite content with their one or two outfits. Changing style or clothes of these few dolls feels wrong somehow. Does anyone else have that? Putting new clothes on for pictures and then changing those particular dolls back into their usual outfit?

    52. sort of? I have to keep mine in 'period clothing' but tend to gravitate to their 'majic user' look ... which means the 'hunter' type outfit batch from Iple. They are almost all nobility or 'will be' when they find their partners... only my poor nYID boy (when i get him) won't be. But he IS the baby daddy of a child nobility adopted so he will we well placed in society.... when he discovers he even has a child... yes there is a story behind this. He will eventually be part of running a 'foundling home'. So he too will get a look that is more worn and practical.

    53. Actually, yes I do have that. I try to get the new dolls dressed in something, but often times they don't want it, but they need something until I find what they want, and in their size, because I don't have time to sew yet. For me, if I start on a project, I don't want to be interrupted with a dozen errands and such, or at best, I'll forget about my obligations and continue to work all night long, foregoing sleep. I'm trying to set up my space, but really, it will be at least a year before I'll be able to really dig into sewing again-simply due to my obligations

And I love the casual way her sleeves are pulled up @ResinRapture :D

    55. Awesome, @DollInk ! Good to see Iplehouse is still on the ball :D

    56. I think the upper lip bumps are called the “Cupid’s bow” ? But I’m not completely sure. Very true, the mouth is the main noticeable difference between the two sculpts :3nodding:. The eye shape is different too but it’s not very pronounced. Oh my yes, some variety in the sculpts would be great .

@ResinRapture The dress is just lovely! Love the fabric choice too.
I couldn’t agree more regarding the older sculpts :thumbup.
Yes, I do that too...that is, change my dolls back to their “default” outfit and wig after taking photos. They each end up with a certain look that just sticks with them :3nodding:.

@DollInk Congrats! Looking forward to some photos after she arrives home :thumbup

@LyanneNZ You’re welcome :). I think Isabel would look good on the model SIDw body. If you get her in the future I will definitely enjoy seeing how you style her look :).

    57. posting for the sake of reference... it was the best pic ... cupids bow is the whole line from the Vermelion borders... basically the whole edge line that froms the shape of a bow. the dip would be where you grip a bow...

    58. Iplehouse is going to offer Light Brown and Dark Brown Resin beginning Oct. 17th, 2018 (noticed copied below):
(link to the announcement on their site - Support < Notice < About new LB color options)

      Hello. This is Iplehouse.

Recently, there were some various opinion about the new LB color.

So we are writing this notice to let you know about our resolution.

Some customers prefer bright tone. But there were some customers who prefer darker tone to bright one.

Actually for last 2~3 years, we sometimes tried to adjust the standard of LB color slightly.

Now, we've decided to offer both colors to solve this issue.

On October 17th, 2018, we are going to add the name <Light Brown> and <Dark Brown> as color options.

Please be aware that the former you already did (have no options offered) would not be offerd color selection.

The color will be produced in dark LB color.

      Thank you.

      Sincerely,

      Iplehouse
