Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 68

If you buy a hardcap wig you must give the exact measurements to the wigmaker (meaning you take the measurements of the head using a seamstress ruler). You can buy round stitched wigs that can cover all MNF heads.

 

Maybe it’s just the two that I owned, but I had a momo and an event head and they seemed the same size to me, I would mistake them for each other when they were broth in my floating head drawer (from the back or by touch), but I didn’t measure them. If there does happen to be a difference it must be pretty small, and for most wigs a tiny bit a variation isn’t a problem. But again I’ve only had two of the many heads, and both were from about the same time period, so, grain of salt
If I remember right Fairyland has all the heads pictured on the my choice option. I know it’s not the hard measurements you were looking for, but that might be the easiest/quickest way to get an idea on which heads are bigger, atleast until you can put a measurement group together

 

@Ginnomme I can only sort of help here. I don't have specific measurements and all of my dolls are currently packed up so not readily available to measure, but I can say that I currently have 25 minifee heads, and have owned others in the past as well. I can say for certain that some of the sculpts definitely have bigger heads than others. For example the MNF DES I used to own had a pretty big noggin and when finding wigs I found she worked best in 7/8 wigs. I also had a Rheia in the past that wore a 7/8 wig albeit with a wig cap. A 6/7 would never have fit. Meanwhile even with a wig cap I can't keep a 7/8 wig on my Rendia or my Spring 17. That size wig is just far too large for them so they need 6/7.

If I had to guess I would assume Altis and Hwayu would be on the smaller end of the scale, since the newer minifee seem to have smaller heads from what I have seen. I'd say maybe when looking for a head to use stick with ones that were released after Chloe. Anything prior to that might be too large. And of the ones that came after Chloe be a little bit cautious of some of the event heads. Juri 13 is a bit larger than most others from what I have seen. I don't have one personally but I have seen the one @Zavrinas owns and she has a surprisingly large round noggin.

 

I have a Rin head sculpt coming in soon, what wig size would you recommend for that? A 7/8?

 

I only have the event elf Rin but she wears a 6/7. Her head is pretty small.

So Ive never had minifees before...or even slim minis in general. But I fell hard for the lookback heads.
I was so surprised they had both the ones I wanted in stock at DDE!

Chiwoo is on a mystic kids body. I have almost no clothes or shoes that fit them But theyre so beautiful! Now to scroll back through ten thousand minifee threads to find out what they wear and see pictures

Does anyone have a minifee compared to a msd volks girl or a feeple 60 moe girl? I'm unsure how they'd look together! Any comparison would be great!!

 

I emailed FL about re-releasing minifee kyle...i know he wasnt popular and only discontinued in 2020 but i NEED him in tan i didnt even know he was one of the ones that got discontinued

I was wondering why the minifee thread had been so quiet, I don’t post often, but I always love following what everyone has to say and share! I guess it’s okay to leave some new thread spam? Here’s the latest picture I took of Hazel and Wren in their cozy Fall outfits and their books.

 

Does anyone know where to look for potential rerelease news? Did FL say they were bringing back DES? I'm really hoping for a miyu rerelease, if anyone knows

Here is my feeple and minifee comparison:

To me, they look very close in age but one is a lot bigger. So I consider my feeple60 to be a giant among smaller friends. She also has the longer legs but I don't think they are that much longer than a regular feeple. Her head is still much bigger than a minifee's head.

 

i know it probably wont happen but i emailed Fairyland about rereleasing minifee kyle...maybe he'll find more love a second time around...hes such a pretty sculpt with a good faceup but i guess im just biased ^^;;

 

I was sick for a good few weeks so I think I missed some posts, but I do so love looking at everybody's photos! Everyone's dolls are so gorgeous!

Just a photo of Felicity because she's beautiful. I got her a new Monique wig a few months back and realized I never posted her in it. The bangs are a bit long but I'm too scared to cut them, so I tried to style them by swiping them to the side a bit. She does need a new faceup though. Her last wig was a much lighter brown, and this one photographs as almost black.

 

I like her! She’s got a great edgy look!

This maybe not exactly what you ask for but here're comparison pictures of minifee boy (The boy in tan skin) and sdc volks girl (The girl in black dress)

Volks sdc high and head size is exactly the same with volks msd, but they are slimmer. It's hard to tell when hide under dress, but the hands shape is different, their hand are smaller than msd's.

Ps. I have some comparison pictures between volks msd and sdc, which is not relate to this thread but maybe help(?). If you need them please feel free to ask (The msd is my friend's doll, she live far away, so I can't make a direct comparison with minifee now, sadly)

My tan DES with faceup is here!!!! I've posted a thread in the box opening gallery. Please look and tell me your opinions on what wig you like! I'm not sold on the green one I bought for her. Here's a photo to show how beautiful her faceup is!

 

At some point I am also planning on taking more detailed photographs to compare Felicity's old a-line body and Nettle's new a-line body. Felicity doesn't have magnetic feet or anything, so I'm interested to see any other changes. Felicity is about 11 or 12 years old at this point.

 

I really like the new girl, especially the vampire head. I think I might be finally getting a minifee... just need to shift my doll plans a little!

 

The new girl is beautiful, I got a hunch that I'm not gonna get her though. Let's see again when more pictures came out.

 

Can we see some Lami's? She's going to be my next doll purchase next year hopefully!

Yay, I finally got the photo to work! This is my new Celine, straight from Fairyland. Small bust, model legs, company faceup. I ordered her June 25th. While I am happy she shipped quickly, and that her faceup is just perfect, there are a few flaws that annoy me a bit. She came with a tiny little chip in her knee cap, and her head is a bit wobbly - the hole at the bottom of the head you insert the locking mechanism into is kind of large, and it wobbles even when you've 'locked' the head into place. I was able to stop the wobbling by shoving more eye putty in there, but that really shouldn't be necessary (I did not need to do that for Lami). Unlike Lami, she does not have her date of creation marked in her head, but she does have a number (194 or 195, something like that). She does have some noticeable seam lines, which surprised me because I thought that was only an issue with the tan skin dolls.

Despite all of this, I really love her. She is so sweet and cute! I think eventually I will want to give her violet eyes, but for now she's quite striking with a blue pair! Her wig is also from FL and fits really well (size 6-7).

 

I love my Lami so much! She's sweet but still has a cleverness about her that I just love. Mine is tan, Aline, large bust, cutie legs, company faceup, from Denver Doll:

Quick question for all Phoeb owners: Which eye size do you use for her? I use 12mm with small iris.

Is there any chance FL will offer the minifee 'Liria' again? I've been looking through photos of earlier releases and she is stunning!

 

Unfortunately Liria was a limited release sculpt (limited to 68 sets). I think she was made to honor a Fairyland employee. As fair as I know, Fairyland doesn't re-release limited sculpts or events heads.
