Minifee Active Line / A-Line Body

May 11, 2008

    1. Thought that people might be interested in this comparison. ^_^

      Loki on the left is my Elf Shiwoo, and is almost a year old. He has the old Mini Fee body, now known as the Beautiful Line body at Fairyland.
      Balthazar on the right is my Seorin, who I got on Friday! He has the new Mini Fee body, known as the Active Line body at Fairyland.

      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      As you can see, the old body is ever so slightly taller than the new body!

      [IMG]

      Back view.

      [IMG]

      Their heads are pretty much the same size.

      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      There isn't much difference between the legs, apart from that the new body (right) has the double knee joints.

      [IMG]

      The new body also has the addition of a joint just before the hips, so you can make it sit cross-legged.

      [IMG]

      Here you can see the double-jointed elbows of the new body, and the new torso joint.

      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      Seorin head. ^_^

      [IMG]

      Hand movement is better on the new body because of the magnets.

      Continued~!

    2. [IMG]

      [IMG]

      When sitting, the new body's legs are slightly raised.

      [IMG]

      The new body can reach further forwards than the old body, due to the torso joint.

      [IMG]

      Kneeling comparison.

      [IMG]

      The wonder of the new joint in the legs!

      [IMG]

      They can both touch their heads.

      [IMG]

      The new body can fold it's arms slightly better!

      [IMG]

      The poses are more natural with the new body, as you can see from the slouch!

      [IMG]

      And he looks good in jeans. ;)

      [IMG]

      Hope that helped! ^_^

    3. Here's a comparison of the two different MNF girl bodies currently available. Both are in NS with the larger bust. On the left is a late (about 8 months old) Luts Shushu, and on the right a Fairyland Ryeon.

      Apologies for the poor picture quality and the slight lack of more poses. Shushu is strung quite nicely, but Ryeon is loose! Infact the most impressive pose I'd like to get her doing is standing!!! :doh

      As you can see Ryeon is shorter than Shushu. And in my opinion the new body has a better bust and nicer navel... lol

      On with the pictures!

    4. here are some pics of brodwyn (mnf ryeon) in a few poses :) she is on a book in some of them, but she is able to do all of these poses on carpet. the book is just because my puppy kept running by and knocking her over lol :sweat she has the small bust a-line body.

      (please forgive the fact that she's topless, these were originally taken for a graphics project and i needed to do her silhouette)

    5. Some picts of my MNF shushu.
      I ordered this body with the ryeon head, and I bought the shushu's head with the "beautiful line" body from Luts 6 months ago.

    7. I am debating over which head to get. I like Reyon, Saorin, Woosoo and Miyu but I think Miyu may be the one for me. Convince me! Thanks!

    8. Here are my pics for you (shes on a beauty line body)

    9. has anyone compared mnf active line and mnf beautiful line dolls??
      as in which posts better and how much better?
      is there any difference?

      i'm planning to buy a mnf but was wondering which post better? but i'll much prefer beautiful line since im planning to cross dress it into a girl....

      any one has them both and is there any difference when its wearing their clothes

    10. I have a few pics of my friend's MNF A-line Shushu taken with my Shushu Vamp, Kaimei(B-line) for comparsion.
      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      [IMG]
      As you can see, the A-line can lean over to its side much better than the B-line as well as be able to touch its nose where as the B-line can't even come close.

    11. Tanaska, BW Ruth on a B-Line body

      [IMG]

      Tahira, BW Seorin on an A-Line body

      Both are wearing this http://www.dollmore.net/shop/step1.php?number=4311 from Dollmore.

      A collection of cross-dressing MNFs wearing clothes from Dollmore, Dollheart, Luts & Soom

      [IMG]

      Personally I haven't had any trouble getting the different bodies to share clothes.

    12. Since this thread convinced me entirely into getting an A-line body, I thought I'd post some amazing poses a friend of mine (who likes balancing things way too much) did :]

      This is my Sleeping Miyu (NS). No re-stringing, sueding, wiring, or anything. Just as she came.

      Hope this was helpful somehow.

    16. Has anyone out there modded the torso of the MNF A-line boy body to be less "Muscle-y". I'm digging the poses it can hold but I do not like the muscles at all. So if anyone can show me some pictures I'd be thrilled. :)

      Thank you!

    17. I am contemplaiting getting a Mo, but I'm not to fond of his body. Anyone have a picture of him on an active line body? Preferrably in normal skin, but any skintone will do. Also, if you have any suggestions about another body that will suit him (and pose well), feel free to post that as well :) And heck, feel free to post pictures of him with his default body as well, sometimes owners pics and company pics looks waaaay different.

    18. I tried this today and found no problems with resin thickness or anyting like that. I'm not completely done yet but here are two pics. Sorry they are very dark.

      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      I'll post pics when I do some finishing touches tomorrow.

    19. [IMG]

      This is what I ended up with :] I wouldn't reccomend it however since there is a discoleration where I sanded, slightly paler color. It might go away with time but I don't know yet. It looks fine on photographs however.

    20. You know, the Fairyland feeple bodies (70cm) are very similar to the minifee bodies. I think they lack the joint at the bustline, but everything else seems to be the same. I got a feeple boy body for my Moon, and its posing is amazing. Stands solid as a rock, too.

      Anyway, here're a couple of pics of Puck on his new AL body.

    21. These were taken about 2 months back of Reym [MNF DES boy]... Rather normal shots though...

      [IMG]

      A recent one with his guitar again... :XD:
      [IMG]

      The rest here...

    22. does anyone have resin comparison b/t the an old whiteskin and a new whiteskin a-line? I have type 2 white skin shiwoo and was thinking I love the new elegant a-line bodies and wanted to trade...but I'm afraid Teir (my shiwoo) has yellowed a bit and wouldn't match the body...any ideas? or pics? And does anyone have one of the new elegant a-lines yet?

    23. Can someone post a photo of the knee joint piece of the Active Line bodies?
      Is the knee joint a separate piece that is free-floating and not anchored to either the thigh or calf?

    24. So I posted on Fairyland's site to try and get more pictures of the A-Line Normal Boy body.... and nothing has been changed on their site.

      Has anyone ordered and received one? I would love to see some different poses/angles of this body!

      I want to get a lishe boy with this style body in BW.

    28. It took a bit long (due to computer problems) but I took some photos of the body today. (:

      I have sanded the neck shorter and thinner because I got this body for my DOC head but otherwise it's unmodded. And as stated in my previous post, it's white skin and has #5 hands. I haven't sueded the body in any way, just replaced the string in the legs with a thicker one (the string inside the arms is still the original one).

    29. Wow! those are awesome! Thank you so much! Now I want the body even more! You said it's for a DOC head? Does the resin match? I have two DOC kids and they're resin is much pinker than my BW MNF. I'm curious to see the finished doll. Is it possible you could do any comparison pics with any other dolls? Or even another MNF?

    30. Mizya, I want your Body XD Is a BW skin tone match DoC heads?

    31. Mizya, than you so much for all of the wonderful pictures!!! I am glad it is the BW too. I am thinking of getting a normal like BW Lishe boy.

      Do you have a B-Line boy body you could take pictures of the A-Line normal body next to?

      Could you take a few more where you pose his upper torso forward(slouching), back (like you would if laying on the floor with your elbows to hold up your head), and to the sides?

    32. Teseya & Bluoxyde - Well... WS matches well with my older DOC heads that are lighter and more creamy in colour (they were purchased in 2005). I have a Twing-key head on a MNF B-line girl body, she only needed a bit of pink pastel on the neck and the match is near perfect. ^^ Here's a photo for reference. This body will be for my Tender Too, he's a tad pinker but once I blush the neck a little, the match is decent enough for me. (:

      KireiX - No, sadly I don't have a B-line boy body. I'll try taking the photos you requested tomorrow. ^^

    33. Hey all, my thread is a bit old, but her box opening was an important day for her~
      My Miyu, posing well out of the box

      ~~~
      @Meatfactory: There is a small cup like 'joint' that is in between the upper leg, and lower leg. It's being held in place by the stringing.
      It is not melded/attached to either parts of the leg, and probably could be removed. [that would probably look horrid though.]
    34. Okay, here are the photos I promised. (:
      Slouching forward:
      Hope that helps. ^^
    35. Is it just me, or does the neck of the B-line body look a little longer than the A-line body? I'm just speculating, but in the first two posts of this thread, the B-line's neck seems to look longer. Is that just because of the mold of the head that's on it? (Shiwoo, Shushu)
    36. Do all the normal-Aline bodies come with the "type 1" neck/head opening? Just an S-hook? How about the other FL MNF?
    37. No, the body has the neck system, I just took it off and replaced it with a regular s-hook because I put a DOC head on the body (as I stated in my post). ^^; I didn't have time to take photos of the body when it was still unmodded so that's why the photos are now a bit misleading, sorry about that. But yeah, they do come with the neck system normally.
    38. any chance on seeing a Kid delf Ani head on a nude MNF a-line body? >< it woul'd sava my life TT/
    39. I've got a couple questions, hopefully someone can answer them! :D
      1. Does the old resin completely not match the new resin? I heard this and it makes me sad. I was hoping to keep her head and just get a new body.
      2. Do the model legs and cutie legs have any difference, besides looks? Can they pose the same, and move the same?
      3. Do the different busts have any affect on movement? I'm fairly certain I want a large bust.
      Thanks. :3
    40. I have an Elf Shiwoo head which came to me second hand on february 2008. I think he had a couple of owers before me, bu don't know exactly when he was produced.
      thing is, I bought for him an A-line body which came home August 2008. match is 99% perfect.
      I don't know if the resin has changed some more in this time... I hope not, since I need a body for my summer '08 DES event head :sweat
    41. My Elf Shiwoo head matches his new activeline body just fine. I never noticed a difference. *shrugs*
    42. The mnf elf Shiwoo's were sold through Luts and ended when Luts ended their sales of minifee. So, they're not all that old. That said, CP resin in general varied a lot over the years and people did sometimes have a hard time finding bodies that matched their heads. For both the Delf and Minifee lines. Not to be confused with all the other Luts lines that have 'delf' in the name, as all of those are made by Luts and use different resin than the ones made by CP (but they also have matching issues).
    43. Who said A-line body? :)
      This one?XD
      [IMG]
      It's totally damn cool.
      My boy (sounds weird :/) is pretty kicky and tightly-strung,
      therefore it did fight back when I wanted to pose it...I hope restringing can help.
      ill have to get some full body shots when its not so hot outside.
    45. is that shiwoo an old type from Luts? His head looks a little big for that body...is it really larger than the fairyland heads?
    46. Shiwoo is a Fairyland head :sweat. Even though I think he was one of the older MNFs who used to be sold on Luts. His head just might be one of the bigger ones and also I've heard that the new A-line bodies are a little smaller (shorter) than the B-line ones, so that might be why it looks big.
      I think he looks fine though and I'm so in love with the normal body. It's so boyish looking and cute! :aheartbea
    47. Bumping this up for the cutie legs and model legs differences~ They are not taken at almost the same angle, so any feedbacks on these two pair of legs? I can see the cutie legs looks a bit rounder on the thighs in the side view pictures though.....
    48. The user mendokusai posted this kind of photos in her livejournal ;)
      MNF MODEL LEGS VS CUTIE LEGS & LARGE BUST VS SMALL BUST
      http://h-u-s-h-e-d.livejournal.com/467349.html
    49. Bumping this up to see if anyone can show me a b-line boy trying to touch his nose/face while keeping his elbow by his side. (How close can they get?)
      Thanks!
    50. does anyone have anymore A-line girl posing?!
    51. I have 3 MNF bodies from left: A-line with model legs, A-line with cutie legs and B-line
      How you can see A-line with model legs is much lower than B-line, you shouldn't buy this body to big MNF heads as for ex. regular Shushu head.
      The disproportion head-body at A-line with cutie legs is not so visible, but it is there.
      I think B-line it the best choise for big MNF heads.
      Length A-line with model legs body from the shoulders down to the ground-> +/- 31cm
      Length A-line with cutie legs body from the shoulders down to the ground-> +/- ok. 31,7cm
      Length B-line body from the shoulders down to the ground-> +/- 32,7cm
      [IMG]
    52. Does anyone what other heads aside from Fairylands work on the MNF Active line body? Especially on the boys?
    53. :bump ing this for a MNM MNF head on a A-line OR B-line body of any age!
      I have a MNM 1/4 size Ritsuka, and I'd LOVE to see a 1/4 sized MNM head on one of the two kinds of bodies!
      Ryu
    54. hm somebody brought up a minimee head on a mnf body a while back in one of the discussion threads and it looked... horrible, have to say lol unfortunately i can't find the picture :(
    55. Bumping this thread a bit..
      I would like to see a comparison picture between A-line male and female bodies :3 Mainly to see what the height difference between the two is.
    56. bump bump :)
    57. I just got my first Minifee, so I think I'll add to this thread since it helped me so much! :D
      My girl is a natural skin a-line with cutie legs and small bust. The heads are Ruth and sleeping Karsh. (Karsh was a free gift from Fairyland! <3)
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      Those first two have the back-joint locked in place, but the third does not. She doesn't slouch as much as the boy body appears to be able to in the first post. (Probably because the back of her middle-torso piece is more curved.)
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      She can also stand up while her back is arched like this. (And she'll stay standing like that pretty stably if you pose her right.)
    58. [IMG]
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      Awkward pose, hurrr. The elbow piece stays in this position (see the left arm) with the point of the elbow off-center until you bend it further. Only when it's bent all the way (like the right arm) will the angle of the elbow even out. Also, it has a cool little hooking mechanism in the lower part of the elbow piece that keeps it fully bent.
      [IMG]
      I was worried that the Ruth head, being a half-inch bigger around than most of the girl heads, (from the info I could find) would look too big on the a-line girl body, (shortest of the MNFs) but it's not bad. It might not be flattering to photograph her from a birds-eye view though. (You can see a photo like this in my previous post.)
      edit: a fluffy fur wig can also add to the Ruth head's apparent large size. Not sure how bad it is, you decide:
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      [IMG]
      I ordered a pair of hook hands with her. (See the above two pictures for comparison.) The A-line comes with magnet hands, (The B-line with hook) but I thought if you took the wrist-piece out, the A-line could wear the hook-hands. It IS technically possible, but it seems like it wasn't designed to do this. The S-hook for the hook hands was bigger than the one holding the magnetic wrist-piece in, so I had to squish it with pliers a little to make it fit into her skinny little arm. Also, the wrist-ball was a little larger than the magnetic one... I'm not sure if this is because they are hook hands, or if it's because they are BOY hands, intended for the larger wrist sockets of the male body. One hook hand fit pretty well and looked fine, but because of the slightly irregular shape of either the ball or the socket, the other one kept slipping sideways and the side of the socket would get caught in the slot in the ball. Soooo in the pictures she's wearing one #1 hook hand and one #8 magnet hand.
      [IMG]
      Also, she has girly detail. Juuust a hint, but it's there. (I wasn't able to tell from any of the pictures I could find. Hopefully someone finds this information useful. XD; )
      PS To answer one of MissCrumpledCrumpets' questions: The bust doesn't seem to have any effect on the posing, since the arm can't really bend in front of the chest anyway because of how the shoulder ball and socket are shaped. Mine is a small bust, but I don't think there would be much difference with a bigger bust because the boobs still don't really stick out to the sides at all.
    59. Gorgeous photos and OMG the posing ability of this girl is nuts !! (in a very good way !) thank you soo much for taking time and doing these and sharing ! I always loved this model - but I am posing freak, so before I shop - I really wanna know user usage - and what's the workability of the doll so you are one appreciated fellow doller :D
    60. Gaaah! I love the A-line bodies so much! Such beautiful, natural poses, and such a huge variety! I'm definitely getting one for Pan :D and that one will definitely be used for an art model :)
