Ohh, first post! I've just ordered a tan ds Ria. I'm not a huge fan of the watermelon beasts - could I ask for some spam of them clothed please?
I still can't figure out how to share photos from Flickr when on my phone so I'm not sure if this will work, but here is Bea messing around with different wigs.

Hi new thread! Here are three of my ladies.

 

Aaah, I never thought I'd fall head over heels in love with a MiniFee (I mean I did have a Karsh hybrid for a while...) but I did! I started creating this new character and then saw a tan Shushu and bling! That was it, it was too perfect. Too bad they're selling it in the current event but I don't have the money... wah, I'll have to wait till the next event.
I didn't even like Shushu when she first came out but now I can't imagine the character in any other "shell" :'3

I was the same with Shushu and didn't really pay more than a glance until I spotted one for sale in the MP and now I'm smitten with her!

@Photojoda I wish they still did this tan. I really want a tan Celine, but only if it was in the old "chocolate milk" tan.
The current tan I find a bit too red and dark to meet the look I enjoy for Celine.

I've got four tan minifees from the original to later releases and I haven't noticed any difference in the tan. Did they change the colour (other than Agran) in the most recent release?

 

No, not the most recent.
If what I've heard is correct the very first tan release by FL was a different shade from all subsequent tan releases.
I think the lighter tan was in 2013, but I wasn't in the hobby then, so I'm going by what people have said.
I could be wrong, but all of my tan girls are nowhere near as light as some of the dolls that seem to have come from that release.

Do you guys know if the ne MNF Ria is a limited edition head?, I am not sure but I guess she is not because she is available in the a la carte section...., I can not see information about it in the webpage.

I have a tan from the first release and a tan from the Liria release and they're the same. Just the very slightest color difference due to mellowing. Here the head is from the first release and the body is from early 2015. Sometimes lighting makes all the difference in how dark or light TS appears.

 

That must be it then, cause that looks exactly like the color I prefer.
Too bad. I'd like to have the "milk chocolate" look in person consistantly, rather than through lighting and filtering.

I'm very excited for my Liria. She's going away for her first face-up tomorrow. I don't think the artist is on Flickr or here on DoA, but I really liked her Liria's face-up and she's quite happy to do something very much like it for me. So far it's the only face-up I've seen on Liria that makes me want to keep her, so I'm very happy.

Sometimes I wish I could work for Fairyland I swear I would come up with some great ideas. Okay guys think about it, Fairyland is really big on creating beautiful dolls and making a lot of money in the process. What if they held an event once a year where they created a la carte for all of the limited event heads like Break away, Juri08 Nanuri14 Liria etc? They can offer tan and 2 fullsets for a new boy and girl. It would be chaos but if they would let us know months in advance then it won't be as chaotic and allow us to save up our money. I guarantee it may be one of the biggest sales they ever have. Just my two cents. Anywho......

I'm assuming in this event, you can only have one event gift regardless of how much you spend? Just wanted to make sure before I order. :P

 

I'm sorry about that. It seems that Photobucket are having some problems on and off at the moment.

Not even right clicking on the red X choosing copy picture address and paste in into another page seems to work - which it often does.

Yes but you can get more if you can devide your order into more than one order. If for instans you're buying two MiniFees you could make one order of one MiniFee and then another order on the other MiniFee. Of course each order would have to be expensive enough to get the gift you wanted.

I have aqctually once done that myself a few years back.

 

I guess, as far as I understood you are right, you can only have one event gift, since they gave no option for more than one event gift...., I am not sure.

Do you know if Ria is a limited head mold? O_o

Someone in the thread before posted a reply from Fairyland stating that she'd be a generally available head.
Also you can buy her in the A La Carte Option, so that indicates that too^^

I ordered Ria in tan and Mirwen in normal. I had to get the event head, been wanting an elf sculpt for a while and this one has such a sweet face! ^_^

 

Finally managed to upload a new photo of Keheley so I'm spamming her again. (Lucky effect via Flickr Aviary)

 

I wonder if this means that they'll be "updating" the A-line boy bodies too? o:

Ooh thank you so much. You make my boy blush. I am loving your crew as well. Tika has been on my brain lately for an old character that I once had. I really wish Fairyland could have had his wolf parts and Rin's sheep parts available to buy all the time. Such a pity.

@Indeh i think they were doing some Photoshopping of the pictures to get them in scale with each other and it has distorted the proportions. When I look at the pictures from Ria's fullset she seems to have the same length in the legs and waist as the old a-line.

 

@AaloriRian hhm, maybe. I do agree with you that the fullset pictures look normal, we'll see with owner pics

 

Fairyland have already confirmed that they are revising the boy body. I think it was in one of the event notices on their website. I'll try and find it for you.

@pokori First off, loooooooove Blake~!! >w< He is unbelievably cute!! He was one of the big "pushers" to me getting my tan Rheia boy, Kheir. I am very happy to see him once again in this thread~!! (So much so that I've come out of hiding. XD)

As for your limited a la carte idea, FL seems really "gun-ho" to get rid of molds once that event is over. I'm assuming to free up space for new molds. So I don't think they'd have any of those molds anymore. ^^ They have stated multiple times that they no longer have the Juri 08 for sure.
As well as, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I've paid a lot for my limited "wanted" sculpts. If FL ever did do something like that, it would straight up tick me off. I don't regret paying all that for my sculpts but I've paid that much because they have stated what is out there is out already, no more incoming. So for them to make them available for purchase at a la carte price, would "kill" me. I've already had instances where I've "overpaid" for a said limited sculpt and later have it re-released or become a basic, and it kinda killed a lot of my interest in the sculpt because every time I looked at it I saw how much I overpaid for it.

But that's just my two cents. ^^

I've got no spam cause all my minifees are blank and wearing mostly temporary stuff till I can take the time to make what I need to for them. ^^

 

Aww thank you so much. I have actually been pondering over switching Blake over to tan since that seems to be my new obsession lately. I just followed you on Flickr and you have a very beautiful crew!!! I'm really hoping next event will be a fairyline boy or maybe not since FL takes turns over each line during each event. And I know what you mean, I have spent a pretty penny on a few limited myselfs. Crazy to see that they get rid of molds like that though it must not take them any time to create new faces for production. I'm more upset about the lack of Fairy parts not for sale though.

 

I shall miss him as he is, if you change him, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm sure he'll be just as cute in tan~! >w< I already know the Rheia sculpt is cute blank in tan, but each faceup gives the face a different feel >w<
Thank you for both the follow and the compliment~! I hope my mnfs will one day be able to shine next to my SDs. xD I always feel embarrassed showing them off next to them since they are so "incomplete", but soon I should have time to "work" on them as they deserve.
A fairyline boy in MNF or F60 size would be wonderful~! I'm hoping for another basic Fairyline release myself. xD I need one more for my Liria boy/girl(switches genders because his/her user likes to change avatar gender based on outfits... my mnfs are MMO avatars simple explanation. xD) and then a moe Chloe(my assassin!) and then I'm done with my collection. XD Then I send them all to artists with my money. xD;; Lots of tattoos, scars, and faceups are needed. xD;;;

I could be wrong about the more recent event molds, but I do know the older ones are gone for sure based on all the replies FL has given in regards to Juri08.
With how "fast" they were to get rid of the A-line molds, I assumed they would be just as fast with event molds. ^^;;

What a ham.

 

It was a lovely Labor day morning and I decided to take her pic. I love my little minifee.

 

Trust me, I am doing my best to avoid switching him over. I think he is intimidated by the facet that he is not updated like the newer models. He doesn't have the magnets in his heads and the A-line renewal is comin but I am trying to tell im that doesn't make you any less special. He is still my favorite doll and I would hate to risk our relationship over updates. So I Think I am going to keep him in Natural skin and just update his faceup. And have you seen my current crew? LOL Blake is the only guy who is somewhat complete. And I love your concept for your characters really unique.

 

It'll be nice to see what changes they make. Although I agree, I wouldn't want to trade in my Fairyland Chloe.

 

I am torn between getting my tan muscular Tika during this event (love the gift head, but dont NEED it) and waiting until the aline male body is updated. Im leaning towards getting him now, in case they get rid of the muscles? Does anyone think FL might do that?

 

I 100% do NOT think that FL would get rid of their muscular body. They didn't get rid of any bust options for the ladies (though I guess the glamour is still hard to get your hands on. There's still like...FOUR options though), so I really can't see them completely nixing one of only two body options for the boys. I mean, I guess I could be wrong, but I do feel like the muscular body is the more popular of the two, so I can't see them getting rid of it :/
As far as waiting for the new body, who knows how long it'll be before the renewed version is released. Could be next January, could be next November X'D Just depends on how long you're willing to wait I guess!

 

I'm kind of glad I don't have any A-line girls, so I won't be tripped up by established expectations when I get my Ria >< It's too bad this is so stressful for everyone :< Judging by the number of options for the renewal body (a la carte at least), though, I'd guess Fairyland will renew all of the options for the male body, too. Adding my two cents here mostly because I have to say, tan muscular Tika is great, @xenagirl83

So I'm not sure if this is better suited in the Kid Delf chat or Minifee chat here, but when I saw the satyr Yul, I knew I needed his lower half to combine with my female A-line to form what I think is far more proportional and adorable. XD More modifying is needed, but I was too excited not to share now.
