after getting my f60 rendia back in february, i basically wrote off being able to get another new FL doll for a long while because, well, they’re expensive, as all bjds are but i caved and figured well, i want more hands for my f60... then i saw the resin shoes (ROLLERSKATES!!) ... and then saw that tan mnfs were extended for the summer event.... and then figured, well if i might not be able to get tan again anytime soon, might as well add some extra feet and hands for the mnf too... ... and oh, that brought me over 650....

Well, long story short, I am now already impatiently awaiting the end of my layaway for a tan sircca boy (absolutely adore the sculpt as a boy), cute shoes, and an event head i don’t know what to do with but i already love the sculpt merry christmas to me most likely!

and all before august 9th too, i was like “thank god i didn’t talk myself out of it until later!”

 

@Karra I can't wait to see your Sircca boy when he arrives! I did a similar thing and quickly decided I wanted a tan girl on the Moe body, and looked up the different sculpts on Instagram and decided on a Luka.

So, I have a question. I ordered a set of mag ankles for Chiyoko's original A-line girl body, along with the new resin leaf boots. Will the ankle parts fit on Chiyoko's fit on her body? Has anyone tried it yet, and if so do you have pics?

Oh, I also finally ordered a new A-line boy body from FL for Chiyoko's Breakaway twin brother, Hisato! I can't wait to be able to take new pics of them together once again. Here is a very old pic of them together. Hisato prefers kimono, since he's a prince, and Chiyoko's the lost sister that doesn't know she's a princess. She prefers Gothic/Punk Lolita outfits.

Luka’s adorable!! I can’t wait to see her too! Especially the moe body. I waffles between a girl or a boy and ultimately decided I have a girl heavy collection and wanted at least one other boy... but now I have an extra head to source a body for so it worked out in the end ahahaha

I love the look of the tan dolls. It’s a shame i’ll probably never be able to get that other tan they had before i started actually collecting, because that was lovely.

 

@Karra oh I'm so excited there is going to be another Sircca boy around! I agree the sculpt makes a great boy! I can't wait to see pictures of him once he arrives!

I did make a FL order, and qualified for the MNF head. I think it's one of the cutest I've seen in a long time. I see a boy, and as of yet, I haven't ever gotten a MNF boy, so it's about time! I just have to find a good body for him... hummm Gotta see if the head might fit an impldoll star body, or else I'll probably go for the model body! Exciting though, it's been so long since I've gotten a minifee!

 

@malvinas , Apollo looks so good!! I love his faceup! Further cementing my love of Sircca boys. I just can’t get enough of them. Just a bit pouty, but I have a feeling they can also be given a slight smirk if you do it right.

@IngieBee congrats as well!!! I’m excited about the event head too, I told myself I’m not going to go body hunting until later since I have more than enough time I’m thinking the sculpt will end up being a girl for me, just so that I can have a boy mnf and a girl mnf ^o^ but things can change!

 

Got this beautiful winding staircase at an antique shop. Thought it might fit my minifees. ShuShu said she loves it.

hey all, I've been looking into minifees as well as seeing a lot of cute sculpts on Instagram. So far, I come to really like Maya, but also Nanuri. Is Nanuri released seasonally? Or, often? I've noticed theirs different versions of her sculpt, however, I would like to see if I'd have to buy her secondhand or wait for FL to release another version again.

 

@Karra I can see a girl there too, she'll be super adorable! It kind of reminds me of myself as a kid, LOL, only much cuter.

I woke up this morning realizing, I said Impldoll star body, LOL. Those are huge! Silly me, thinking of a youth body or something... not sure where I'll get a body but as you say, Karra, I'll just take my time.

Aw, @berryme unfortunately Nanuri and Juri dolls are special events that come out Summer and Winter, and they're always a different sculpt. If you fall in love with one, you have to find it second hand. In fact right now, we have an event head that ends tomorrow, so if you like this Nanuri head, you might want to order a minifee with other goodies (up to $650 ) to get it??

On the other hand, they do come up often in the market place here and I'll bet with a little patience you will find which ever one you like. They're usually listed with their year, for Juri, it seems the year they arrived?? So if you ordered for Christmas 2018 it will be called Juri 19?? Correct me if I'm wrong everyone

Kind of fell off the MNF wagon for a bit there, I'm down to only two MNFs (I once had 10!)~

Of course, the only two I have left are Brink (new version, VE Klaus) & Zephii (VE Chloe mod)! By March 2021, Zephii will be 10 (TEN!!) years old!

 

Oh they are super cute though, @crazykimochi love the mods! Well done!

Nanuri is the name given to the event head released with the winter event each year. Usually you'll see event heads listed with the event name (Nanuri, Juri, Spring, Halloween, etc.) and the year. Nanuri gets a little bit tricky because the event starts at the end of a year and carries over into the start of the next year, so often the name will use the year that the event ended in instead of started in. The sculpts are all vastly different so just because you found a Nanuri you liked you may not like the rest. Your best bet would be to figure out which year you liked and see if you can find it second hand, since there is no guarantee the next one will be anything like that one that caught your eye.

 

It's been..years since I've thought about dolls, I've moved like 5 times and somehow during those moves lost two of my doll heads (a mnf ryeon and mnf shiwoo) so i check denver doll and...MINIFEE SHIWOO IS GONE FROM ALA CARTE?! Did they Discontinue?! Lishe and El and woosoo are still there but no shiwoo?! Why did they discontinue Shiwoo QAQ

 

@Urushi-kitty, I think Denver Dolls is incomplete, they do have all the heads up on dollfairyland.com so I guess you'll need to contact Denver Dolls and order via phone or something??

Unfortunately Shiwoo was one of the head sculpts that they discontinued a few years ago. They claimed it wasn't popular enough to continue offering. I don't know why since there are so many Shiwoos out there, plus they've done multiple special releases and heads for him!

 

WHAT?! HE USED TO BE SUPER POPULAR!! He was everywhere?! Wow this makes me incredibly sad...looks like I'll have to try my luck second hand...

 

Hi sorry unrelated question but I was wondering if anyone had a Klaus and would be able to do an eye size comparison between 12mm and 14mm if possible? (thank you!!)

 

OH, I'm sorry, I saw the picture, but didn't realize Shiwoo is not in the drop down menu. That is strange. Especially since they have approximately a thousand heads that they didn't discontinue. You know, what usually happens is someone brakes the master, and that is the end of that. That's probably what happened

 

Gosh that's so sad...i mean couldn't they make a new master from an already casted head..Ari Chiwoo and Soo are also not on the drop down menu either...

 

If the master broke, no, because the heads will be smaller if you make one out of an already cast head. It's the main way we can tell an original from a fake head, so I don't think they would want to muddy those waters. Finally, the detail will also deteriorate. The second generation casting wouldn't have the sharp details the first generation has, though this is much less noticeable on resin than on something like porcelain or I believe vinyl. I don't know that this is what happened of course, but I suspect it is as it's happened with other companies before??

 

If I recall correctly, when Fairyland started putting magnets in their sculpts they decided to temporarily stop selling their older ones. I remember Ruth was one of them and as one of my favorites, I was pretty bummed. This was to modify the casts so they could have magnets too. Sadly I think they figured it wasn't worth the work or that these sculpts weren't popular enough anyway, and they didn't open them up for release again. Minifee Shiwoo was popular for a time, but I think with the influx of all the new sculpts, its popularity dropped.

 

So I emailed fairyland and it seems that if enough people bother them about a certain sculpt they'll consider bringing it back?

Honestly that's probably the best way, I also don't know how much international sales effect their view of popularity so yeah if we want to see the older sculpts we gotta ask...and then ya know, actually buy them. I DID manage to find a VERY VERY old MNFshiwoo like on the beautiful line body with the heart hands and everything on zenmarket but i still want the sculpt to be re released so i can snag a sleeping head dfgvhbt

 

I'd love to get another Shiwoo to mod into a dreaming sculpt, myself! I was so sad to see that he never came back to the list after the "temporary" discontinuation.

 

My Klaus is wearing 12mm, I feel 14mm will be too big on him~

Soooo how long do you think the event orders will take to ship with COVID?

My two FL orders (Nov 2019 and April 2020) took two months to arrive. I’ve never participated in their events before though (or in a pandemic lol). Anyone wanna speculate?

 

Got my first minifee not too long ago - a 19/20 Nanuri I bought secondhand. Can finally post her now that her wig and eyes have arrived! Her name is Reyka

 

So its not the sleeping head I wanted but I managed to find a MNF Shiwoo on ZenMarket! They seem really old, still have the b-line body (the original mnf body) with the heart hands! I'm still on the lookout for a sleeping head tho...*picture is from zenmarket, i did win the auction tho*

 

I’m interested in purchasing a MiniFee "Mio" sculpt. I read through the Den of Angels product page for the sculpt that the eye size is 12mm? Does that sound accurate to anyone? Also, what size iris is best for the 12mm? 4.5mm or 6mm? If anyone has any pictures of their "Mio" or can help me with this, I would really appreciate it! I'm really struggling with what to get for her.

 

I'm pretty sure 14mm is better for Mio. Mine has the "premium" default eyes, and they are 14mm.

 

In my experience if you order and get an event head, it does delay it a bit. It really can vary though, especially with COVID happening. My December and January orders with winter event heads didn’t arrive until June, but my orders from April with the spring event heads all came in July. So it’s sort of hard to predict.

 

Years ago, when I first got my Marcia, I could only find a few pictures of the sculpt. But today, literally today, I found so many wonderful Marcia pictures! I feel like spamming an old picture I love my Marcia!

Your 19/20 Nanuri is gorgeous, @fethers I love how you did her up! I'm excited because I put in an order for a blank F65 Ingrid and will be getting the MNF event head. I think he'll be a boy, and I haven't got a MNF boy yet. So exciting! So many of the event heads are exceptionally cool.

 

Oh, is that a sircca boy sculpt that's the mnf event head? I'm excited to be getting that as well, and I thought it looked boyish too Sircca, I didn't know!

 

She is adorable! I am so glad I asked. Thank you for letting me know! Is 7mm the standard iris for 14mm eyes? I want to purchase eyes from someone that offers 14mm eyes with either a 4.5mm iris or a 7mm iris.. but I'm unsure of which to get.

 

@Lillyroos I've been struggling to get that comparison photo I promised you, because my camera and my phone both refuse to capture the agra tan correctly when placed next to my NS girl. But today I ran into this owner photo on Instagram which shows both tans and NS which I think might help?

I don’t believe so but someone better versed in sculpt identification could probably tell! i ordered a sircca boy and an event head i can definitely see the boyish charm in the event head though, i’m leaning towards making my event head a girl just because i specifically ordered sircca as a boy but we’ll see what happens when i get them! i’m holding off on body hunting for the event head until then, since i have so many ideas for mnfs

I have a dumb idea of wanting to put together a list of people wanting some of the old sculpts back...idk if it would do anything but I can't be the only one who still wants a shiwoo or other old sculpt in 2020....If you're interested just DM me with the sculpt you'd like to see back? It seems like Fairyland is open to re-releasing old sculpts if there's enough of a demand for it which I think is really neat of them!

 

Oh, I looked Sircca up, and realized no, that's not the event sculpt, LOL. Never mind I'm always confused, LOL

 

When I was looking for reference pictures I found this comparison for minifee eye sizes for a visual chart, and this thread on DOA about how to size your eyes. "So, a 12mm eye opening should have a 5.6mm iris with a 1.4mm pupil" is the most relevant quote I took from that link.

 

Could you gauge interest like if you were setting up a G.O.? See how many people would commit to a specific sculpt and then send the information to Fairyland? Set a criterion for say 10 of a sculpt and then count extras as a buffer for flakes? Don’t actually create the go but get the same contact info and order info I mean.

 

Oh I guess I could! IDK where I'd set that up tho since it's not actually a G.O.

 

I had contacted them a couple years ago about Soo and got the same response you got about Shiwoo. I have since found her second hand and have her in my collection. That said, my ultimate DREAM would be to see them release the My Choice #7 head that never was given a real name from, oh man, AGES ago. Back when minifee were sold by Luts. I still regret not buying her when I had a chance! Other than the very not likely #7 head I'd love to have a Chiwoo in my collection if they released Chiwoo again.
