Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 62

Liselotte-Hoshi her head looks exactly as it should so she'll do fine with a MiniFee body or just the neck piece in case you want her on another body. Like I said a MiniFee body comes with a neck piece so there's no reason to get an extra if you want her on that body.

Yay, new thread!

Coco & Mimi are outside waiting for their older sister Cece (Sircca) to be delivered!



This is actually a pic from when I first got them, but a jazzed it up with a filter from the free app PORTRA.

They’re both on Moe bodies here, but I had heel feet on Coco so she looks taller. I never had problems with the Active line heel feet with my Moes, but now that they’re making Moe heel feet I’m going to have to get some. I like how heel feet look more relaxed than the flat feet even if my girls are sitting around barefoot.

I’m also super excited because my SOULinaBOXdolls eyes arrived yesterday and they look so good!

 

@malvinas your girl from AngelToast is stunning and I love your impulse buy too. Thank you for sharing photos of your summer head. My girl is in her way to Eludys. I hope she arrives safely!

She’s the older sister of Coco and Mimi. I can’t wait until they’re both back from AngelToast.

Notice: the normal size mag-on feet manufactured recently (since the a line renewal?) do not fit older moe bodies!

When I ordered Sircca I decided to get mag-on heel feet for everyone who didn’t have any.

Well, they have resculpted something at some time, because the regular mag-on heel feet used to work fine with my moe bodies, which are all 2 years or older.

The mag-on heels that arrived today are smaller in the ankles. They fit on two of my Fairyline bodies, but not my oldest one that came with Sia (sold the head, Rheia got the body), and not on any of my moe bodies.

I finally sewed a skirt for my Minifee Siean Elf, Irma. I had bought this beautiful blouse from Kalcia at LDoll and needed something good to fit with it.

Lol, yes only, but the only one I need. Its funny I had all msds when she came along, and when she came home from the spa I told a friend, I'd be fine if she were my only minifee.... lol now she is and I adore her! Thank you, Cinder is quite protective of the little elf.

Sadly they are all kind of WIPs and two of them don't have faceups yet as i've been too busy with other people's dolls to work much on my own, but at least Euclid is there to steal the spotlight (as always haha)~

I decided to rehome my Elf Rin over the past weekend, so I'm down to only 5 MNF girls now!! I was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with my amount of dolls, so a tiny cleanout was needed!

I try a wig on my sircca from luts in 7-8
. it fits but is a bit poofy. My sircca got those coolcat wig stickers anyway. I dont got a 6-7 to check if it would be too tight

I did wonder if Rin had gone as I'd not seen her on your stream recently.

 

I had an exciting delivery over the weekend! My modded Shushu Sp., Choara, got back from her faceup with KomorebiDolls (@rianne ) and she is even more gorgeous than I expected! After 5 years I'm finally really truly happy with her so I had to show her off!

 

She looks lovely with her new faceup!!

I've become lazy when it comes to taking pictures of my crew. They always get phone pictures lately. Here's some Marcy taken back in April.

 

Ahhh yeah, it's because Alyssa inherited her body since Kat's story had changed and she was no longer in a relationship with Riyan (the body has Riyan's name tattooed on it). I did get Kat her own body again but while paying it off, I decided it was better if she moved on~ She's a gorgeous doll, but she will be happier where she's going since she's considered a grail

 

Marcy was the first BJD I ever saw online, she showed up in some image search results once (I don't even remember what I was looking for, lol) and I was hooked. I love seeing her around here and on tumblr because she (so really, you) got me into the hobby!

Aww I've missed seeing Marcy! She's the one who made me decide I needed a Ryeon in my life.

 

Thanks to the great work of @Annaku on the wolf's ears and tail, I could finally put an end to my Okami's customization and took her for some proper photoshoots in the woods.

Guys, I've got a question, I'm sure I read the answer somewhere but I can't remember where or what it was.

Are the mag-on feet for active line compatible with the moe-line body?

 

They used to be, but when the Active Line was resculpted, the ankles became smaller and the A line feet no longer fit M line legs (M line ankles are bigger than A line ankles).

 

I didn't know there was this issue when I purchased high heel mag-on feet for my M-line Karsh, and I had to modified the feet ( carving, sanding, soaking in boiling water ) so they can fit on my doll's ankles.

 

@albeli thanks for your answer! It sucks, I don’t like the small feet of the Moe line body :/
Though I have a moe line boy in mind and it seems that there is not a huge difference between the feet length, so it may be less of a problem than if it was a moe line girl.

Maybe see if you can get a pair of fairyline feet? I have a Moe girl body with fairyline feet and they fit no problem!

 

It's funny to hear about the feet because I've been having the opposite problem: the older heel feet I bought don't look right with my Renewal body. :P

 

I do apologise in advance if this is not the right thread to ask my question. But i don’t know where else to find the answer. I thought it would be best to get advice from people who own and know fairyland minifee very well.

Would you know which companies have the closest colour match to a fairyland minifee body in natural skin?

I will have a floating head from an artist very soon. So far she has only suggested a mnf ns body as a perfect colour match for the head. The head i am getting will need to be S-hooked according to the artist. This means i do not necessarily have to get a mnf body with the magnet system. I would really appreciate it if i could have options because of my funds.

The magnet system in a MNF doesn't have anything to do with how the head attaches. That said, there's a good thread in the Photo Reference forum about what bodies hybrid well with MNF heads. If your artist head is sized and colored to match with a MNF body, that would also be a great reference for you.

For myself, my only MNF hybrid is an event head on a Doll Legend body, which works well and gives him a little extra height compared to his full-MNF brother.

 

Also, if you don't want to shell out for a Minifee, (they can be a little pricey, it's true) there's other also-lovely bodies from companies like Impldoll who will color match to your resin for your new head.

it has a lot of suggestions on what hybrids you can make with minifee heads. Can I ask what artist head you are getting?

 

Somewhat hijacking this question but @vicemage your boy looks great I'm actually trying to hybrid a Fairyland head myself. Can I ask what resin colour you got his body in? The colour match looks really good and I'm running out of ideas for male bodies with the right resin match to try

 

No worries, @Magical Rin, he's in Normal Pink (not imported), on the "Strong" body. It's not quite as ripped as the MNF muscular body (which I also wanted--I wanted him to look well muscled, but his brother is crazy buff ), and a bit taller and thicker overall, but still well proportioned with the head size. It does need a neck mechanism, though (which isn't that expensive to order separately, especially if you can get in on a group order or another way to get cheaper shipping). It comes with a donut, but the head still tends to swallow the neck a bit, and the included donut is too big to fit inside a MNF head.

 

Thanks a bunch @vicemage, I really appreciate it. The head is actually a Feeple60 head but it seems to be harder to find resin matching info for larger male bodies as opposed to their female counterparts I've been trying to find a male body with somewhat smaller feet and it looks like Doll Legend might just do the trick. I'll definitely be filing that info away in the event I ever want to hybrid a MiniFee in the future

I just had 2 of my girls (Mercedes my Rendia, and Briala my Summer 17) get back from AngelToast today! Work is going to be absolutely unbearable as I wait to go home and open that box!

Oh my gosh! I see so much potential seeing her blank! I wasn't sure about her with the fairyland faceup but blank she reminds me so much of the New Family sculpt! Now she's being added to my wishlist.

Of course! I took pictures of both my newly painted girls tonight, and while Mercedes (my Rendia) is kinda stealing the show for me personally, I know people have been waiting to see some Summer 17's painted and put together so I'll show off Briala first.
