FairyLand Fairy Line Mini discussion part 1

Gah, I was hoping her being a seahorse would put me off but she's so gorgeous I need her!

 

-heavy breathing- Oh my, what a pretty face, and tail, and everything! Be still, my heart and wallet!!

 

These new Fairyland sculpts have me wanting to buy my first new doll (all of mine are used), and I had a few quick questions about Fairyland presales:
How long did it take for the Liria fullset to sell out? And does Fairyland usually release a non-limited option for their sculpts (like the Liria a la carte)?

 

@Miggirl, I think it took about an hour for the fullsets to sell out - LOL! Okay, maybe not that fast because I had time to decide whether to go for the fullset or ALC, but that was a VERY limited set.

If the MNF was a mermaid, I might be tempted, but as it stands, she would not have a character in any of my story realms, and the LTF isn't my style at all. Plus, I discovered with the Liria I bought (and rehomed) that the puckered lips look just isn't for me. I guess my wallet is safe this go 'round!

In my vast experience (::chortle:: ), there should be a specific number of fullsets and a larger number of ALC available.

 

The Fairy line MiniFee is cute but her face is not one that I really really need, så I'll probably not get her even if she is limited like Liria. The RealFee on the other hand . . . . . .

I think Liria is one of the few - or the only time - the face has been limited and Fairyland said so from the beginning when she was put up. Now and then there are fullsets that sells out really fast - like Chloe - but even if the fullset is limited and the face is too like with Liria you could get her without the fullset for s period of time.

The Minifee looks really cute! If her nose is round instead of pointy like all the other sculpts, she'll be on my wishlist!

 

*U* OMG EEEEEEppp finally pictures of the seahorse body ahhh!!! Hmm, I really really like it so far, but I'm not sure how I feel yet about that tail color or that body yet (it look more like the Moe line?)... I kind of hope there will be different colors for the tail....and I really hope there are different busts for the body as well, nothing would be sadder for me than to have my long-time dream of a mermaid minifee crushed by my absolute least favorite doll trait; default massive boobs OTL
Anyways, i'll have to see more to decide for sure whether or not I like it for what I have in mind, but i'm super excited all the same

I like the sleepy look to the new girls face. Looks like the huge bust moe body though which I dislike. I also have no interest in those fantasy parts. We'll have to see what's going on when they are released. I don't think I'll have money for them anyway.

In other news, I'll be redoing my Siean's face up soon and giving her the body I intended for her (that my RFA is currently using). I'll have to dig her out though as she's still in storage. But the work in my room is mostly done so I can start taking my dolls back out again. Yay. I've missed them these past two months!

When Liria was released she was sold out before I even knew she was on sale. I'm worried I will miss this girl @_@ I really want to order her with her special faceup!

I want her and her outfit... I don't know if I'm feeling her tail. I love the real fee tail so much more! But I don't have or really want one, I enjoy their cuteness though. I'm....torn. I've wanted a Minifee for a long time, and this girl is gorgeous but...the seahorse tail would be really impractical for me. Plus, if this is the beginning of a Fairy Line, I'd like to hold off and see what other creatures Fairyland comes up with. Maybe I'll just get the Ante I've dreamed of during this event! (But of course, no decisions until all the details are released.)

 

Aw thanks. The plan is to take a bunch of pictures of each one as I take them out. I'm planning on making my Siean (named Sparrow) a witch. I'll have to make her a bunch of stuff. I have a never ending to-do list. lol.

 

I wonder if they will make human legs available for the seahorse/mermaid girl similarly to the way soom and luts does for their fantasy lower half dolls...

I'm also wondering this! For the RealFee fullsets they released the fantasy parts in addition to the humanoid RealFee-size body, so I hope they do it the same way with this FairyLine MiniFee... On the other hand, I'm a little heartbroken because I LOVE LOVE LOVE that seahorse tail (I'm a sucker for transparent resin, too) but fantasy dolls never seem to bond with me. ;____; I think I'm also going to sit this event out and see what other creature inspirations are down the line.

 

Little fee mermaid? I tought the minifee would be the mermaid and thd seehorse would be the realfee.. i think i will sew a mermaid tail for my mnf Chloe when she arrived. She was shipped yesterday. Im so nervous

 

I quite like her sculpt and her faceup too, but she's not on my wish list. I am quite happy with my Soony Elf and don't need another Minifee. I AM after a Realfee though, so I'm anxious to see what is available during the event. I won't be needing any fantasy parts even though I think they look great.

Edited to add: Did anyone notice that the Minifee has fins on her forearms like the Monster High doll, Laguna?

 

Oh wow, Wovenflame, I hadn't noticed the fins in her forearms! I wonder what this means regarding easily changing her from mermaid to human?

BTW, thanks to everyone who suggested Mack's silicone earplugs! I just scraped the mess the Leeke putty made out of my LTFs and put Mack in, and it really is the best!

 

I saw the new pictures. I'm sooo screwed.
A part of me wishes they released it next year. This isn't good for me time-wise or money-wise. I desperately want the seahorse minifee. [emoji24]

 

I hadn't noticed the fins on the forearms, either. Not a fan of those. I wonder if they are removable? I really wish the Fairy line had the mermaid tail instead of the seahorse tail. To me her head sculpt looks a lot like Liria with a different face-up. She's very pretty, but the fins, tail and huge chest are deal breakers. I really like her costume.


Glad you like the Mack's earplugs, albeli. They work fine up in my neck of the woods, but I'll be interested to hear if the Texas heat dries them out.


Nekomuchuu, your Mirwen's face-up is gorgeous! Did you paint her yourself or send her out? It's such a beautiful and unique look.

 

The new minifee really looks alot like Liria (in my opinion anyway). Maybe a dreamier version of her (slightly more closed eyes, but nose and mouth look really similar to me though!) She's a real cutie nonetheless though
I really hope the offer her on a human body as I'd love to have her but dont think a seahorse would fit in with the crew I have in mind right now xD

 

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks the new Fairy Line girl looks a lot like my previous Liria. I'd be disappointed if I wasn't so broke right now! LOL!

 

It's too bad they wouldn't have a way to "transform" her in a sense.. she could be human, but able to turn to a mermaid ... hmmm....

 

Wow, the mermaid minifee's face is gorgeous! I was waiting on the next event to buy my next minifee, so I may have to consider her. Although a mermaid wouldn't really fit in with my story.

 

If she wasn't a seahorse and was a mermaid I'd be in DEEP trouble! I'm already tempted enough by her- she's beautiful and I love the outfit. If it's possible to transform her into a human then I may have to scrape up the money...

So am I correct in assuming the "Fairy Line" is a whole new line of dolls with Minifee proportions but with fantasy parts?! Oh man I'm in such trouble if that's the case!! I'm a sucker for fantasy dolls...

 

OH MY. I know a lot of people aren't feeling the fantasy parts, but I just made a very unflattering sound and am definitely sold, especially if I can get a male version of this doll! The look of the tail and the fins on the side of it definitely suit the character I've been wanting to make, and I'm not sure I'll ever see a closer version of his snake/eel body unless I sculpt it myself.

She's lovely! Did you make her wig yourself? It's perfect with those antlers!

There might be... the original post with the art of these two was labeled "MiRealFee" so they might be doing a system similar to the RealFee body-swapping system, in which case there would be an easy way to swap the lower half.

 

They might introduce a way for her to transform. I guess we'll have to wait and see xD
I guess if someone were really determined to have her as transforming mermaid/human they could buy a regular minifee body and with a bit of creative body blushing and maybe some mods they'd have a great matching human body for their mermaid girl.

 

Anyone hoping this new minifee won't be time limited? I'm really wishing the tails are released as a basic line too.

 

I don't think she looks too much like Liria so I made a comparison. Both are from Fairyland's site... I hope I can do this? But this might help some people with her looks. Their makeup is similar.

 

I think her hands are webbed. Did anyone else notice this?

 

It's tough to tell, but I think that might just be the fins on her arms and the way her arm/hand is angled. I'm definitely looking forward to more pictures of her, though, to find out for sure!

 

They might be webbed, but it's hard to tell if that's the hand, or if it's something in the background. Either way, I'm positive these are new hands. They have nails and are in poses not seen in MNF before.

 

I saw that! I think they are webbed, at least between the thumb and forefinger.

I'm pretty safe from this girl. I'm not in love with her, but I do want her outfit and staff for sure. My RFA declared she is a mermaid and wants the outfit lmao

I think I'll be picking her up ALC sometime down the road as a human. I have zero interest in the seahorse tail, and the fullset is pretty, but not calling to me either.
I'm a sucker for eyes like that, though.

 

If it's like it was with Liria, you will only be able to get the eyes with the fullset.

 

Heh, no I mean the shape of her eyes, not the sparkly eyes that the fullset comes with

 

I'm looking at the hand that is outstretched, levitating the vial, and there definitely looks like webbing between her thumb and forefinger.

The special fullset eyes sort of look like Oscar eyes, if anyone is interested in that look. DDE carries them.

 

I think she's lovely! I wouldn't mind taking her home but I just sent some heads away for face-ups and well, I can't see myself spending money on top of that. But wow, she's just amazing. I love the shape of her nose.

 

I like her eyes too! They're kinda giving me a Marilyn Monroe vibe.

 

I really like the new seahorse girl.. which is bad because I need human bodies for some of my floating heads..
But they really made her look a lot like the character in the artwork, which is cute. I think the body could double as a naga type of thing also. And sure a lot of people were hoping for a mermaid but a seahorse seems a bit more original to me.

One thing I am really liking about their fantasy parts is they look pretty unblushed or with very little blushing,.. which is great because the color won't chip off.

Wow, very cool system for changing pieces! I liked how she can balance in her tail.

 

I wonder how pricey she will be? Her arms are attached differently too.

 

I wonder if that body (minus the tail) will be exclusive to the fullsets, or if there will be a new type of minifee body available for purchase ALC. In just it's human form it kinda looks like an A-line hybrid with a glamour Moe bust. No back dimples from the Moe line, so it's not just a redesign of the guts of a Moe body.

 

My wallet is safe but oh my god the engineering is bloody amazing!!!! The balance feature, the waist feature was great already in the realfee line, the new neck lock, the 360 bust tilting joint....all gorgeous. Honestly the only thing it needs is a waist joint option, and CP will have designed a nearly prefect doll.

Is she really a Minifee? I hope this isn't another in between size. I want future minifees to function like this.

 

This is by far the most complex and well designed fantasy tailed creature, the fact that she balances so well, and has so many parts and options alone (not to mention she does all this while having the beauty and the function which is something we so often have narrowly missed or missed altogether with these sorts of ideas), make her a unique and well thought out kind of doll, and I have a feeling she will have a price tag to match that level of work and dedication...>.>;;;; Good luck to those who want her, if they state at any time she can use a male torso I will be in trouble, but until then I shall cringe on all of your behalf's...>,<;;;

 

HOLY wow, the construction for Fairy Line looks amazing! I'm sitting here completely in awe of how simple they've managed to make it to swap out parts - I can see us getting all sorts of beautiful mythical creatures in the future. Fauns and centaurs, maybe? Fairies?

My dolls are all going to be based on characters and a story I made up, and none of the characters are mermaids... after seeing this video, I may have to do some reworking of the storyline to accommodate this beauty and start seriously saving up!;;

 

She's beautiful. I just wish the tail was a mermaids, although I wonder if it'll be a fantasy part. Why else make the tip removable?

Anyone else notice her new arm design and the magnets under the bust section. No more arm stringing and really interesting way to change the bust size. Her face is so pretty and at the moment that is what I would like is just the head, just as well that I am already in so much trouble for spending too much money on dolls and just could not justify any more spending.

I originally thought it was an M-line because of the bust, but after watching the video, it looks more like an A-line with the larger bust.
