Im curious, for those who have ordered from Denver Dolls, how long was the turn around for you to get your minifee into your hands? I see the site says it could possibly be up to 30 weeks!

 

It's ranged for me. Sometimes Fairyland has had some pretty good turn around times and I didn't have to wait long for DDE to receive them. 3-4 Months is normally the wait time with me. I did wait for DDE to receive my Alan fullset for an entire 8 months. He recently arrived to me like two/three weeks ago. I was about to get antsy. Lolol.

But DDE is SUPER wonderful. They're very patient and friendly whenever I ask them questions. And they'll do anything to ensure you have what you ordered!

 

Prior to the pandemic, 4-6 months was normal for a standard doll order. Some specialty orders, like one-offs, can take longer. DDE is a small, one store location, family business. They are at the mercy of the manufacturers (many of which, including Fairyland, are also small businesses) and prevailing worldwide issues that can and do delay the waiting time frame.

 

Usually, as people have said, about 6 months. If you want something sooner, keep an eye open for their in-stock items. They have quite a few now. Those ship right away. Occasionally, people get their order sooner. Hang out on the Fairyland waiting room. There is also a wait list tab that can give you some idea of when recent purchases have been delivered - There is even a place for people to indicate when they have ordered from DDE. I personally think DDE does a great job of getting items to the US in a timely manner.

Is tan here to stay for the minifees? Or is it temporary? I’m from the Feeple world, where tan is gone from a la carte unfortunately.

Poking my head in to say hi. Has anyone else tried their hand at making their own wigs for these guys?? I swear, my gaggle of minifee have turned me into a wig and eye snob D8;

Pardon the chaos in the background. This is my third wig attempt. It's pretty fun, actually. Well, except for the part line. My unsteady hands give me issues there

 

^ my Honoka is also currently sitting covered in plastic with the wig cap on her head and all the strands are ready to be glued on it, I just need some free time to actually do that. Your wig looks so soft and lovely, I want to pet it! Funnily enough my wig will be pink one too

 

@digi it's a super subtle pastel pink to peach ombre actually! XD I was aiming for sherbert but I guess I diluted the colors too much. Learn as I go!

I'm trying to learn from scratch too. Processing alpaca, whoo It's not hard but dang, so many steps and so much time! But these girls are worth it! And they switch wig colors with their outfits so I have my work cut out for me!

So, how much alpaca and what length did you get and where did you all get it?

 

@NamelessPierrot It seems to be a popular color for the minifee!

My second one, which I just styled, was a white to pink as well. Granted, I also had pastel pink to peach hair at the time of making it and the wig I just posted above, so I was in a bit of a pastel mood I guess xD;

@Dollquest I got mine on Etsy, in particular from sellers WoollyDelight and HobnobStudio.

The batch from WoollyDelight was I think a 8oz bag and it had lengths ranging from 6”-10” in it? I’m not sure how much there was from the processing because I split it with a doll buddy of mine, but you do lose A LOT in the process.

The batch I got from HobnobStudio was already sorted and was around 8”. I bought 5oz of it and once I was done washing and combing I’d say I had about half left. I am hoping to learn better techniques as I go to keep more fiber, but I’m kind of anal about the processing

 

I get mine from WoollyDelight as well for the long lengths, or TheWoolenWagon for short lengths, if I plan to dye it myself
If I’m not feeling up to dyeing, I was getting from ZergaStudio but they’re on hiatus now

I usually get about 2-4oz depending on what my plans are

Guys- where do you find do you find your minifee dudes their clothes?! I spent forever pawing through Etsy yesterday and, um, either I'm using the wrong keywords or there's just 98% stuff for the girls on there xD;

Any particular shops on Etsy or doll stores in particular with stuff that fits well? Help!

 

@LiselT Go to Etsy and enter Elite Doll World in the search box. Her things are great. Also Helen Doll World for really cute knit shoes, boots and sweaters. @Olga Borontova is a provider on Instagram and Denofangels for knits. There are more, look on Instagram. Try 1/4 BJD clothes/shoes/wigs on both platforms. I wish I could remember who knitted the pink sweater. As soon as I find her, I’m going to get more. Olga’s things are lovely, too.

 

I have looked for items that are marked Minifee but look masculine. I also have sewn a couple of shirts and a pair of jeans, but you can find t-shirts and jeans on Etsy for minifee or "slim minis". If they are" pre-ordered" you can sometimes write the shop owner and ask if they can make the side seams straighter for a guy. I listed a couple of the places below where I have gotten minifee guy clothing.

Denver Doll Emporium has great boots which are designed especially for minifee and they look masculine. - don't forget socks.

WarenBJD on etsy has a black varsity jacket that looks nice on my guy.

Pakapud has some jeans that look straight legged and might work well for a guy (they also have some very feminine ones).

PABAdoll on Etsy has some shirts that are definitely for the guys. You can put in the measurements of your doll for a couple extra dollars and they will make the shirt custom.

TotsamijLisShop on Etsy also has boots to die for! When she has traditionally masculine colors on sale, they are amazing! (The traditionally female colored ones are too) She has not restocked her minifee selection in a while but she probably will soon.

It’s a shame because they have such neat things, too. I think we all have fallen for them at least once or twice too

 

Well shiznit.... I literally just ordered 2 pairs of eyes from Sophie within the last two weeks. ARGGGHHH. Now I won't be able to use them in any good conscience when they get here and I have to find new ones for one of my girls because they came from that shop.

Well, I will be removing that shop from one I follow on Etsy now. Thank you for that heads up.

 

Question for those who order often DDE. I ordered a Minifee on layaway to tonight, and forgot to add heel feet to the order. If I order the feet before she is fully paid for, will they just add the feet to the doll shipment to save me the cost of international shipping twice? Should I email them? If I go ahead and place an order for the feet, I am going to get charged $30us just to ship feet, when I am already paying $67 to ship the doll…

 

You should definitely email them. I don't know if they can combine orders, add to your order, or have you redo your order, but I do remember that they submit orders to fairyland often so you'll want to get that done quickly. I wouldn't order the feet until you get a reply.

 

It does not actually have to be ordered from Fairyland actually. The doll is a Maya that became available in stock last night, and the feet are also in stock.

 

Another foot question. Out of curiosity, can an a-line girl wear moe feet? Are the magnetic ankle systems the same? I notice that they only seen to sell one ankle system part for the girl dolls and it does not specify that they are for Moe or active…I kind of prefer the little Moe flat feet, and would consider buying them for my active line body if they were capatible.

 

I know for a fact on the boys that Moe-line boys can wear A-line feet. Ciel Phantomhive (my mnf Kyle) is a Moe boy and in order to find any shoes that would fit at all I had to get him A-line feet. XD
Also boys of all 3 bodies A-line, Moe-line, and Motion-line can all use the female A-line high heel feet. I did some doll science on this a little while ago. This doesn't work on older A-line boys from before the change to magnetic ankles, but it does on the newer guys cuz it's the same joint in both motion and A-line now.

So I would think the girls could likely trade, but I do not have female Moe anything to test for sure.

 

There is a place to indicate that you would like them to ship your items together during the ordering process - It is a message box. You can also call the store to be sure the message was received. I have done this quite a few times and they refunded my shipping fee for the second order. There was only one time they were not able to do it. Be sure to include the order number from the previous order when you order the heel feet in the message.

@Lillyroos I just saw two of them on Instagram! One default faceup on tan and one the vampire faceplate with a custom faceup in normal under the minifeeingrid hashing! Super pretty. I am definitely going to have to get one for myself!

 

Found time to paint my Honoka this weekend so I finally got her done;

 

@LiselT Thank you. I found them. So beautiful. The open mouth vampire head looked so scary I didn't order. But with face up she looks so much better.

 

I am so regretting not springing for her now @Lillyroos X,x I hope I can see one in white skin soon, too. So far I am a bit smitten with her in tan! And those vampire heads were amazing @,@

Anyone else love the new Minifee girl? She's super cute and I love that her face looks so unique compared to alot of the other Minifees but I'm safe since I'm only collecting boys for Minifees right now.

 

@SuperShawol OMG Yes I love her so much. I was regretting not being able to order Miwa because I couldn't get the funds in time. And then the new minifee showed up. Love everything about her. And what's even more amazing for the first time FL showed tan pictures. I always order tan but it was so hard to choose sometimes.

Hello! I'm hopeful that this is the right place to ask but what msd bodies are similar in proportion to the current Minifee girl bodies? I've been looking around at different threads and most of them are old with broken photos ^^" I used to own a floating Minifee head when I first got into the hobby and it was a struggle finding a good body to hybrid with. Thanks!

 

The new minifee on Kim SunHwa's page is gorgeous! Her full set is stunning, and I love the cute little smile she has. I'm seriously tempted to get here this time.

@Magical Rin I was also wondering about the new girl's eyebrows. They did such a good job on the RealPuki's eyes, making them look so Egyptian with the makeup, I was wondering if she had the Egyptian makeup as well and what kind of eyebrows she had.
Your Nanuri 19/20 is beautiful. AngelToast does such good work! My tan MNF Chloe has an appointment with her in January. I can't wait to see what she does with her!

 

Withdoll might be a decent match for general shape, as they are very much the same sort of Slim Mini, and I haven't seen Kid Delf with a Minifee head, but they might work too. I have a Unoa head on a minifee body, so a Minifee should work slightly modded for a Unoa body if you stumble over one, but I can't speak to resin match being anything like close enough for blushing there. MYOU doll is a newer company but they do have a similar aesthetic for a lot of their styling so i wonder if they have a minifee-esque sized MSD...I think this body is stunning. I havent checked its measurements though.

 

@spacefallen I really love the Myou bodies! The normal pink is closer to Fairyland NS (but is too light), and their tans are close. Both the boy and girl bodies work.
Doll leaves is another good option, with similar too light resin for color matches. I don't really care too much about colors though, haha.
Resinsoul is a third option. They do custom colors too!

For all these companies, you'll need to pick up a neck adapter for the minifee heads.

 

Okay where is everyone seeing these new minifee pictures? I've checked the new website and she's not there. I love Egyptian themes so I want to see and be amazed with you all!

Got my new Taobao wig shipment in yesterday, so Akira has new hair! I also put the fall themed magnet back up, so many of my photos will have a pumpkin background in the next month.
