So glad to find out that the Nuevo girl body can wear SD16 girl shoes, now to go shopping for my Sable (Anne).

 

@Alewife oh that's even better, I love an open mouth. Or parted mouth. Both work.
I'm dying. He won't get a body for a while, but I want to make this guy into a doll so much I actually ordered him clothes before I'd even found a head I like. Which I never do...At least the head is on the way now so I feel better about the clothes XD

Still I really really want to work on that head and I'll have to hold off for a body D:

 

@Alewife I wish I could!! But I can't. The body I end up with might not match and the head will have to be blushed....and since I glue hair on to my guys (like Granado recently posted they do - seriously that's pretty much exactly how I do it), redoing a faceup is a huge pain now. I used to not care, but now I live in fear my faceups will get damaged. Hair gluing is a chore D:

 

@Lawrichai - Nothing wrong with a grumpy face. Pluto does really have a lovely face. It's a pity we don't see too many of them floating around. He looks awesome in that wig!

Another new thread? I think we must be the most talkative bunch on DoA! I'll have to convince Iwan we need some more photos...for science naturally.

@SteamWitch - Thanks! I completely forgot I had it! I think I bought it initially for Ragnar for a photo shoot with him going undercover as a doctor, but it didn't quite fit across his massive shoulders. Iwan's pretty happy with it, though he now has a shopping list of clothing for me.

@Alewife - I don't know about his lab practices, but he's certainly a little more careful around open flames now. Especially when they're bigger than him.

@Lawrichai - Heh, I think he needs a pocket watch to ensure he doesn't overcook his experiment!

Iwan and his mysterious experiments!

 

I still need to edit a photostory I created months ago...I guess it's sort of like the precursor to the experiments. He got a parcel of tools and bottles, so many bottles and tubes! I'll get around to it eventually, but things are so busy right now with work, commissions, and my massive doll project.

Looks like my heads are shipping I couldn't believe the note, Legenddoll said 12 weeks ... then again, it's only heads, not full dolls.

 

YAY for fast shipping heads!! (#12 on the list of things you'd never say until you got into the doll hobby)

 

Yay! In exciting news, my mother just told me for my birthday she is giving me the deposit money for Uriel! I'm so excited. I was so upset because I didn't think I was going to be able to swing bringing him home, but she just messaged me to let me know I can bring my doll home after all! Happy Birthday to me!

Is anyone else bringing Uriel home?

I'm mostly just a lurker to this thread because my only Granado head (Michael on a hybrid body) still has no clothes to show off for. I feel bad that I haven't been publicly showing him off compared to my other doll, but here's an addition to the eye candy spam:

I'm relatively new to granado, but if I decide to just buy Uriel's head instead of getting his whole body, do you all have particular favorite bodies to hybrid with? And also is there a good resin match with other companies with their tan? I'm fairly certain I'm going to go ahead and buy the embody, but I'm debating maybe saving some money.

Thanks! Many Granado guys are quite difficult to find eyes for if you don't want the irises to take up the entirety of the visible eyes, unfortunately. XD

Thank you! I had told myself I wouldn't be getting another doll for a year, but it didn't take long for me to cave in when I saw Michael's promo pics.

I won't be able to help with tan colors since I have none, but my Granado head has a First Gen Impldoll Idol body. Caveat: I based my decision on the dimensions of the older Solar System sculpts, and to my horror, Michael's head was a lot smaller than theirs. (I was able to avoid the pinheaded look by careful wig arrangements and clothes tricks.) Considering Uriel and Michael are from the same series, you may want to take that to consideration if you do decide to hybrid.

 

Finally finished Neptune's faceup after all this time.

My first attempt ended up being way more "orange" than I intended, so I had to improvise in order to diminish the saturation by adding layers of blush over it.
The most difficult part was his lips, which looked like he had been eating popsicles behind my back.

This said, I'm pretty happy with the final results.

 

Great job, @Lawrichai ! He's super realistic. That rooted wig is pretty awesome as well!

 

I'll post it up eventually, I promise! I'm in the middle of cleaning out a lot of accumulated stuff from my time at uni and right now that's one of the things eating all of my time. I've re-shuffled my doll stuff though and now everything is super neat and tidy. Also, I bought some fibre for a new wig for Iwan and it was shipped today!

@AntarelNefertili - He's so handsome! I love those scars.

@Lawrichai - He looks amazing! He's also making my Neptune jealous (poor, poor head in a box...)

Ooh now those videos are pretty cool. Not just for doll projects, but I sense so much potential for cosplay projects too! (Growing a beard is a little difficult for me... )

Sintros' suit have four parts:
The mug* (which is in fact Motesto's)
Two sleeveless vests of different length
One long sleeve robe

*Man Unbifurcated Garments

Sintros is a Granado Charles =^.^=
