my chaka wears 14mm eyes and a size 8-9 inch wig from spite and malice!

 

My boys are wearing size 8-9 wigs. One fur and one is Leeke. My girl is wearing one that is too big for her (9-10). They all have size 12 eyes in. I made a short post in the what fits thread for clothes.

Florie (Sidonia) wears an 8-9 Leekeworld wig, but I think she could also wear a stretchy 7-8. She has 12 mm eyes.

I went tonight to the Granado and bought a Gitana head for a floating body I have--I hope it will work-- but if it doesn't I can get a Granado body later. I have twice now missed Granado heads I wanted, so I thought it would be better to just get it now. Because of Florie, I spent a long time looking at Sidonia-- but Gitana is better for the Roman girl I'd like to make. Does anyone have both a Granado girl head and a Soom girl body? Because the body I have is a rather experienced old-style Soom female body--I'm hoping the neck will work.

 

Congrats, fishcake! No girl bodies down my end, unfortunately, but I hope it works out for you. Haven't seen too many Gitanas around, so it'll be nice seeing your girl. ^.^

My Chaka's sporting 12mm glass eyes, but no wig. Yet. Having trouble finding the "right" one... *grumble*
No pix because the MSC clouded up big time on him, so we're waiting for some better weather to re-do his faceup. *more grumbling*

Congrats fishcake! I have a Gitana head too. I think her head is small.

 

Rosslyn, I might be able to add some wikia on clothes and shoes for the Granado female Nuevo body; Iplehouse SID clothes are very loose, the SID shoes huge on her and Leekeworld L (girls)-type shoes fit quite perfectly (even the boots). More on this as I acquire more of a selection for my resin-gurls to choose from~ x3

Question about skin matches: does anyone knows how Granado Normal match with Spiritdoll Normal?

fishcake, thank you! I forgot about this theme. But anyway, there is no any photos, that I need... So, if you could add comparison photo, when Gitana comes, I would be very grateful!

 

I have a Soom girl on the old body. I can try my Void head on it later when I get home from work. Granado pink is actually very light, but if you are just blushing a head to match, it will be very easy.

 

LuckyXIII Thank you! The Soom body is older creamy ws and the Gitana head will be white, but she will have a lot of paint on her so the matching isn't critical--it's just the fit that I am not sure of.

For some reason I didn't realize that the Viola outfit was available originally for Gitana as well--I just assumed it was for the promo pictures. The styling at Granado is gorgeous! And now I am really kicking myself I didn't get Taya with her faceup as well. :p On the other hand I have utility bills to pay.

 

PART 5! Granado fans are really active, aren't it?
I would love to see Granado's doll size statistics here. Rosslyn, AnchixDPx, LuckyXIII, Sigune and aernath, Thank you for the information.^.^

 

Do you think the nuevo male body will fit into SD17 or 70cm sized clothes???

Rosslyn, Thank you for gathering all the information that you have. Great idea to keep that at the beginning of all our New Discussion threads.

I have had my Sidonia on almost every female body I have and she seems to work well with most. Some give her more head movement than others but so far they all have worked. I have Faco, Dreaming Doll, AOD, Magical Angel female bodies. I have all kinds of male heads and they have all worked with my Granado bodies.

I am posting a photo I had up on Flickr..gives some information but I will try to organize my info and post more comparisons later. The Steampunk outfit on the left is a Dollheart SD13..a little short on the arms but everything else fit. My doll on the right side is a Minimee head (yellowed) on the normal yellow Granado resin - found this to be a perfect resin match. Jo

 

One more posting:
This is a Dollheart SD13 outfit on the white Granado body - not sure who made head - one I got from the marketplace but great white resin match and good fit. Again this outfit is tight - the sleeves are a bit short and the pants are are "high water" style - but with boots you can not tell. The scout head is next to him on a Limhwa body. (I forgot Limhwa and Supia bodies - Granado heads fit those too) and the other photo is another minimee head on a Granado normal yellow body. The outfit is Dollheart SD17 - better fit. All of my male Granado bodies are 64cm as I have just ordered my first Nuevo body. We will see how the SD17 clothes fit them.

 

The Nuevo body is bigger than the normal 68cm body. I am having trouble finding clothes that fit him so far but the normal body is easier to fit. For the nuevo, I think they are close to Iplhouse SID and EID sizes but don't own any of their male clothes to test out. Unless clothes are stretchy, fitting to the neuvo is challenging.

 

Rosslyn not sure if I said it before, but I really love your dolls and how you have styled them. I am going for a similar theme with a couple of my other dolls but have not started to make anything yet.Your dolls give me great inspiration though!

I had to take some pics for a few people so I took a few minutes to take a group pic of my Granado trio. Poor Vee is not sure if he should be happy about this or not. I think he's a bit worried that Rinzer will hit him XD

fishcake; I took some pics for you of Jades head on the Soom body for you. It gives her a long neck but is doable. HERE (there are a couple more on there as well).

 

LuckyXIII you are such a peach! You even took movement and side shots, and I like the long neck since she will have a choker to help hide resin mis-match. This looks super and I now can settle down to just waiting..sort of patiently Thank you so much!

Jo, I just have to wonder what that Bishop was up to with the negligee- wearing Scout...

 

I honestly haven't had any problems fitting my nuevo body into sd17-sized clothes. The 70cm-sized pants that I put on him at one point did fit (kind of), but they were clearly on the 'large' side. I've stuck with sd17 purchases for him since.

*squee* Jade looks like she's having fun. (Vee looks like he's ready to head for the hills at the first sign of trouble :P ) What a great shot!

We'll have to get more Granado Crew shots happening! Especially since most everyone who sits around in this thread has an ever- growing Granado horde of their own.

He deserves every minute of it.

hmm I am wondering after Charles release, which doll would come next. Though Katrien's face up is finished but she's not release yet. (Her teaser picture is earlier than Charles). Will they make a new larger doll to surprise us?

 

Not a negligee but a gown and she and the Bishop were at a fund raising event - that’s their story and they are sticking to it! Although the negligee wearing lady and the Bishop would be a much more interesting story. Just think of the book cover you could create for that one!

Fish, I have a Granado Tayuka head and a Soom male body from 2008..do you want me to try the head on that body? Right now Tayuka is on my Domuya skinny body as Tayuka seems to be a smaller head - like Sidonia.

 

Oh sure Jo, I am curious to see how the neck works! Is Tayuka the male version of Taya? I think they were designed as a set like Guilem/Gitana but I am not sure...I am easily fooled by faceups, too

Besides, you should just spam that cute head anyway! He's another one I liked, but had no funds for!

 

Yeah, Takuya/Taya are the same sculpt with different face-ups - just like Guilem/Gitana.

Yeah Risou! I am the next one down from you on the waiting list..maybe my Xavier will be shipping soon. I ordered him in sunshine and with the nuevo body. I know I will love the sunshine resin but hope I love that larger body.

 

I read on the website to expect "50 days" for casting and shipping of the Gitana head..has that been pretty much the wait times for things at Granado?

 

Ship times can be as fast as a month. It varies and there was one lag that happened during their development of suntan skin but other than that they have been incredibly timely with their shipping.

 

With all of the specials and new introductions, I think Granado is running longer than usual. Most of my orders have shipped under the 50 days but my Xavier is running a bit longer. Placed the order 10-25. Once the specials are shipped out I think it will be back to the 50 days or less.

You bought him the same day that I did, right? Even if you selected 'no face-up', they'd still have given him one - unless you specifically requested otherwise?

Yeah, it's the events they ran one on top of another (plus all of the new dolls they released) that has slowed them down, I think. Given Granado is a pretty small company, it has to take up quite a bit of extra time to give all those dolls face-ups and such.

 

I just got my Xavier head! He looks very handsome in person. (I only order a head so I got one pair glass eyes.)

I really love this head. It looks better than the official pictures.
But I'm not sure which style would fit him so I hold on the face up.

Im very confused! These dolls are gorgeous, and very cheap! What size are they? Is the shipping expensive?

I'm a little slow responding re: what fits, but since I now have four, count 'em, four old-style 62cm girl bodies in-house, I've been trying things on them. Dollmore model clothes fit pretty well on the top, especially if there's some give to them. They're narrow in the shoulders. Some clothes I have for the old Elfdoll large bust body are also pretty good but have the same problem with the shoulders. SD17 girl clothes fit everywhere but the waist-- she has a teeny waist! And I have some jeans made for 64cm Domuya Fin/UniReal girls that fit really well.

I'm enjoying all the picture spam, and Rosslyn, great job on the info in the first post!

 

Beau-Barbare They are SD sized dolls; if you go look at the website the measurements are there. Shipping is the standard EMS from asia, roughly 70ish USD for a full-sized doll, 35-40 ish for a head, all tracked and insured. Granado is less expensive because they are based in China and it is a relatively new company. I expect prices will go up in the future.

If you were looking at the website, and saw a price of $150, that is for the head, you add the body price to that if you want a full doll--maybe that is why you thought they were so inexpensive?

 

Risou, he's fantastic! I really like him on that body. What a looker - and he doesn't even have a face-up yet! He's going to be seriously stunning when you do slap a face-up on him. It amazes me how much better Granado dolls look outside of their promo pictures. I mean, their sales pictures look beautiful (especially lately!), but somehow these guys always seem to be that much more mesmerising in person.

And... the Scout head I bought on the MP arrived today!! He's so amazingly beautiful~ I can't wait for his body to get here, so that I can set him up with the rest of my Granado crew. The face-up he has arrived with is really lovely. I was planning on wiping him and giving him a more dramatic -or at least darker - face-up (his current one is quite natural), but now that I have him in front of me I'm hesitating a little. It'd almost be a shame to wipe such pretty work. :3 I'll have to think about it for a bit.
