Oh, a new thread! I am still waiting for my Neptune. Waiting sucks.

 

Maybe because it's my first doll, but waiting feels more surreal than anything. There was the huge amount of research and deliberation beforehand, the considering of the finances, and then the kinda nerve-wracking process of checking out. Now, life's back to normal, and 50 days seem like a long way off. It's as if none of the previous stuff has happened. o:

@april Thanks I've been wanting to sew her cute things actually, but... I turned to 'normal street clothes' instead. I think I'm postphoning 'cute stuff' for a while longer ^^°

Still nothing new on James unfortuantely *major sigh* Friends have told me they have had deliveries take over a month from china with EMS before, so... *facedesking*

@aernath *laughs* I've been starting on those clothes before James' shipping note, but then haven't felt well enough to continue... But I guess if James had come around the estimated date, her clothes really wouldn't be at the current state. Still want to add pockets to the hoodie and a T-shirt or something underneath...

But... if she thinks she'll be lucky with more clothes the longer James' takes... Well... Nope. I have nude doll waiting for clothes in the room with the sewing machine, a hoodie to sew for a swap and the re-discovery of the EID pattern is an opportunity to start working on some basic outfit for James if he doesn't swag his ass over faster.

@KiwiNinamori: Thanks I learned the basics in elementary school and... high school? (I think the school after elementary school is called in english?) and then - years later - got into cosplay... and now I've got BJDs XD So the sewing experience and being willing to try out stuff helps

Okay, Granado Evo Body owners :3 I need help.
How much space would I have on a butt cheek of that body? Somewhat straight place. I'd guess somewhat around 3-4 cm broad and 2-3 cm heigh?
I'm still working out James' tattoo and just realized I might be planning to big or it might end up too small to be properly read ... or recognizeable. Whatever it is that he's going to get at the end.

Me: There aren't many flat places ON this butt, mydear.
Where would you want to put this tattoo? Top, middle, lower? The one little tiny flat spot is about 2cm square.
It really is a nicely rounded and "sculpted" butt.
Four cm would definitely be maxing out the width you could possibly go, but(t) it would definitely not be flat!

i just received the Ringdoll body for my Neptune. This body is huge (OMG). I just hope that his head will look good on it.

Absolutely! I just have to wait for Neptune's head to arrive.

 

Neptune is a pretty small head... It's small for wearing a 8/9" wig and mine is currently wearing a silicon cap for a 7/8" head! Is the Ringdoll 04 around 70cm? And is it muscle or slender? ... I have a Ringdoll 03, but I can't remember how different the bodies are... The 03 is pretty big and muscular! I've got a 02, I think!!!, body that is slender... But if the body is around 70cm or under it should be OK. I think the Evol body is 70cm???

I don't have pics of my Neptune (Evol, sunshine) with any of my Ringdolls... It probably won't help, but here's my Neptune next to my Iplehouse Rex (EID Superhero body, lt. brown skin), which is a pretty big body! Note--he's wearing boots and my Neptune is barefoot...

I'd just prepared everything to print the butt tattoo on the transfer foil ... only to realize I have used up the remains I had for a cosplay a while ago... Whooops ^^°
Going to buy one tomorrow then. And I might start on lining out the other tattoos and start on that face-up (I'm actually a bit scared of that one... ^^° It's certainly going to be challenging).

And I've decided to use his arrival date as the date that represents something from his past as part of one tattoo. *crosses fingers she gets it done somewhat remotly close to what she wants*
The curvy body definitly won't allow me to cheat much with that foil, so ... handwork it is ^^°

And I suppose if I can't bear it anymore, I'll start sewing his outfit.
... Which just reminds me that I haven't tested that pair of sneakers I got for him on him...

 

@Snowy what size are his feet? are they 8 cm long?

 

@fishcake Nope. Unfortunately They are exactly 10 cm from the tip of the big toe to the heel. I barelly got him into the Pair of Sneakers i got him, but it's a thight fit and he is not wearing socks. In fact you can see this big toe slightly from the outside. Definitly a number of two too small. As hes just a resin guy, he'll have to live with that for now.

I'll link the pair later & take a pic. I'm struggling with applying 2D tattoos onto 3D. Thought the first one is already lined out and purity sealed.
Face-up test will have to wait for tomorrow. It's too late and thus too little light over here.

 

Oh, those are big feets! I might have to buy him some Uncle shoes...and thank you, @Snowy!

The Evol feet are bigger than IH EID guys feet by 1cm I think. I have Hunter in some sneakers but I don't know what size they are. They just barely fit with him barefoot. It will be a nightmare taking them off. 0.0

Those look good--they might even stretch a little if you need a bit more room.
Lucky, those are some big feet. I was expecting Granado tiny feet but I guess with such a large guy the feet needed to be big for stability!

 

Iplehouse EIDs supposedly have 10.2 cm feet... they are big! So Iplehouse shoes should fit... Speaking of which... I should get in on a GO for some stuff there! I'll have to check the shoes. I bought the boots from Granado, but something more casual would be great.

Snowy-- LOVED the Box Opening!!! I can't wait to see more of James!

 

I did ok progress on those tattoo linearts, so i figured i could show off what I worked on so far.

Back to shoes, Dollmore glamor model shoes are huge. Even for Glamor models but on the other hand they fit the huge, jointed toe Adult Doll Chateau.

Wow. I didn't think the Glamor Model shoes were so big! That's great! (Dollmore tends to have lower prices than Iplehouse, which is nice.)

@suok2011 Thank you. I'm using a black Aquarell pencil. And a wetish cloth to dab and if necessary rub at mistakes.

Forgot. Here's the just finished front design. That will be all in terms of tattoos for now. He'll be getting one on his other shoulder at a later point once I have the exact design down.

Guys, Granado posted a pic of a new guy on Facebook. Jupiter. Says that he's the last in the solar system series. You just see his back right now, but he's got an amazing bird tattoo design on it!

 

OMFG. I think its a hawke/eagle design or something like it. I definitly dig it. If that's by Crocus again I definitly am impressed with how he keeps evolving on and on and on O.o

Already hoping someine s going to buy him and show him off for my oogling pleasure... ^^°
