Luts Kid Delf Discussion part 17

Wow! Kasia is a pretty sculpt! I have so many kid delfs on the wishlist. Right now I have KDF Woori in WS ordered, on the Model Delf body. I also have a kid delf jean and ani at home waiting for faceups.


If anyone has kiwi romance , or any of their kid delf girls in Luts outfit sets from around 2011-2013 I would love to see photos! As a preteen I fell in love with many of the outfits i saw online from this span of time, so seeing them in photos is always a joy!

 

So I put a Dollmore Cattish Reaa head on my Luts Centaur......

 

My new boy, KDF Terra devilish ver has arrived. He is my first bronze skin boy

 

I bought a kdf Ani elf on the MP and she just arrived today. She looks prettier in person then I expected. I need to get to know her better and figure out her personality. I will be posting pictures soon.

Ani is a really pretty sculpt; I love her mouth shape in particular. She has a sweet face, :3

My Taro in Bronco on the new KDF45 body arrived today! It was a total surprise, because of course Luts would send her when I stopped obsessively checking the order status every 3 days.

I LOVE this body; I will definitely get a Muhwa on this someday. I think it's a great 'more mature' option for KDF heads.
She has some minor seamlines on her forearms and sides of her neck, but that's it.
The only downside is that my all my current MSD pants are too short!

This is the free event wig that came with her, it's got cute bangs.

Here she is with my RS Peach-skin Kiwi, though the lighting kinda washes out her real color.
Kiwi looks a bit taller than she really is next to her because she's in heel feet.​

 

Seeing your boy makes me sad I didn't get to order him in one of the tan skins, Luts always had the most gorgeous tan colors!

 

Yes they are. And Luts have so many options for tan skin.
It took me 2 weeks to decide for the bronze skin. I love it though.

 

Oooh your new girl is lovely! And the event wig is cute too. I'm waiting on a bronco skin girl too. I'm excited to see it in person to compare how similar it is to Volks' sunshine tan, which is also a light tan color.

 

Are you finding that the new 45 body poses well?

 

Yes, I'm very happy with the body overall. I think it's designed well.

 

Earlier today I noticed Luts had listed their summer event gift heads to their Twitter but it looks like now they're already on their site too While I love the Winter 2020 head I'm (luckily) not in love with the Romance version of it, could be just the makeup in the photos not appealing to me though.

I'm curious too see the summer event lineup once it's all up. So far on their Twitter they list new Grand senior delf body but I'm mostly looking forward to kid and model delfs. I hope this time the latter will receive special version heads too unlike during the winter event. If I remember correctly they were teasing new taller model delf body during winter/early spring so I wonder if they'll release that during this event?

Luts finally posted a teaser about the summer event kid delf(s?) to their Twitter, I didn't expect them to go with centaurs (theme: Moonlit song 9 years later) but I'm definitely excited to see the rest of the line-up now

I must admit that I'll be skipping any centaur dolls though, I just don't have space for something that big and I bet it's gonna cost arm and leg to get one. Hopefully there'll be also dolls without elf ears since I'm really not one to get fantasy dolls even though they look gorgeous.

 

I remember Luts tweeted about making a kdf45 centaur back when the 45 girl body was released so I’m happy to see it in this teaser picture! My first doll was a moonlit song elf yul and recently had been looking back at old pictures of her so this is really playing at my nostalgia :’) Though I’d love a unicorn doll, especially with the gorgeous summer event colors, I don’t know if I have the room for one either.

Deep down I’m wishing for a kdf or mdf mermaid…

I hear you about the size, and trying to find an appropriate space to display a centaur. I’m looking eagerly around but alas, there’s just no room for something this large no matter how beautiful! It’s a sad day in dollydom when this happens to a collection, let me tell you! Hopefully someone here will get one and post photos so I can live vicariously.

 

I just said I'm not huge on fantasy dolls but I'd make exception for a mermaid I mean, then I wouldn't have to think about the doll's shoes OR clothes! How handy is that?

 

Oh man, I've been waiting for the Luts Centaurs to come back around! I AM READY.

...Also, I noticed in the tweet under it, Luts is raising their prices 10% after the Summer Event to cover rising production costs, in case that might affect anyone's purchasing plans.

Oh wow! Thanks so much for sharing these with us! All three are absolutely stunning, and their outfits are gorgeous too. How could anyone possibly choose between them? Whoever decides to order one is certainly going to have a difficult time choosing between these 3 lovelies.

 

I really hope someone here will order at least one of them and post plenty of pictures for everyone to see. While I genuinely think they're gorgeous they're just not for me. And in the same breath: I kind of hope that the possible upcoming new model delfs won't be fantasy themed since they're the ones I'm most looking forward to. If they're centaurs too I will cry. (Or well, just buy a separate head(s) if some sculpt talks to me I guess )

 

Oh, I've been saving all year for one of these, I'mma spam everybody when they come in, don't worry! xD

I'm leaning toward Diez atm, but all three are so gorgeous I will have to stare at their shop pages for a while to finalize my decision.

 

Hey I just realized that there's option to buy the centaur body with any limited heads, I'm pretty sure somebody here was hoping to buy the Madeleine Romance version so this could be your chance!

Also ugh, the elf eared Diez and Bory are so cute, remind me that I don't collect fantasy dolls and definitely don't need their heads.

 

Uhhh do the kid45 delf heads fit the model delf bodies?
I adore fantasy sculpts and even though I don't think I will ever get a centaur I'm seriously considering the bory elf head now, and later ordering a model delf body for it (I wanna make it a girl). So I just wanted to check if anyone knows they're compatible.
If so, I just have to decide on a resin color >< I only have white skin bjds so far and one lavender luts (not arrived yet though, I'm still paying for her layaway xD that's why I can't order the body now). I think bubble mint could be lovely and I figure I could wait for luts to offer fantasy resin colors again in the future so it would be easier on my wallet, I wouldn't have to buy the full doll now. But I might just save myself the extra money and get a normal or white color.
So I'm open to suggestions on resin colors...

 

MDF and KDF have different neck S-hooks I think, but it's easy to match them up. It's not an uncommon combo (KDF head on MDF body).

 

@ashiya Yep, I have model delf head on the kid45 body and another on the normal kid delf body and while I needed to switch the S-hook to smaller one on them it was really easy to do so the opposite should be just as easy. Just order the right size s-hooks along the head/body and you'll be good, or you can probably just mention to them when you order the body that it'll be for kid head and ask them to put in bigger s-hook, pretty sure they'd agree to do that. Also heads up that they sell separate heads only in real skin white and normal color. I've asked them if they could do me one in another color and they said no so that was a bummer :/

I just have to pick white or normal skin then. I might go for the normal color to have a little more variety in my collection.
Edit: hm, I'm considering getting Bory as a boy after all lol. Idk, I think the sculpt is beautiful regardless but it'd be cute to have a boy for my Larimar... however it looks super feminine to me in that store faceup. Though I'd be doing the face up myself. I can't decide :<

 

The limited head choice for centaurs is super tempting… Irus, Lolly, Carrot elves, and the Raspberry elf are all strong contenders for me. Plus I’d probably want girlfriends so two would definitely add up! They’d be very pretty though

 

...Should I get a Muhwa centaur instead?

Theres a couple heads tempting me now... but I've wanted a Muhwa for awhile now, so I -should- stick to my plan, right?

Oh man, a black body centaur with choice of head is veeery tempting! Have Luts put measurements anywhere or comparisons with the other MSD centaur bodies? It looks like the horse boy is the same as the model version so if that's the case, then that's a starting point!

 

Ugh the KDF summer releases are soooo cute and dreamy, my wallet would be in so much trouble if I collected MSDs. My envy and empathy for those that do!

 

I'm torn between getting a centaur or getting a regular elf Diez in fantasy resin, because I have ideas for both.

 

Which colour are you interested in?

 

Well, if I get a centaur, I want the Black body with white skin. But if I do go the fantasy resin route, I'm waffling between Grey, Bubble Mint, and Lavender. I do already have dolls in Bubble mint and Lavender, but I'm still not sure if I'm keeping the Bubble Mint boy since I prefer fantasy dolls and he's pretty normal, resin aside. Lavender is just my favorite color though, haha. I think Diez's face up would look really nice in the grey, though.

 

In your opinion does the Model Delf head look too small to photograph with the Kid Delf ones? I've seen pictures and a video and the size difference was quite noticeable. I have very different sized heads at home, so I know it would look weird to put my collection together (and I do it anyway xD) But I wanted to photograph my Luts dolls together as a pair, would it look too weird?

Also is there going to be a "part 2" of the event with more releases?

 

The centaur kid delfs are the part 2 of the event (earlier grand senior delfs and senior delfs are part one), in their winter event they had three parts so I suppose if this one has that too, most likely to be released in a week - 2 weeks?

The bubble mint is such a fun colour! I also really like the mint grey, though haven't got a character in mind for it so haven't gotten anything in that colour yet. I agree that I think the Diez face up would look good on the grey skin. It's a shame they don't offer the fantasy colours for the upper bodies on the centaurs as i'd love to get a grey upper body with the black horse body

 

So glad I came back to this thread in time for the special event colours. This is painful on my budget!

 

Luts are teasing another set of dolls on their twitter so I think there is a third part of this years summer event. Don't know what size doll or the release date is at the moment

 

They teased taller model delf body at some point after the winter event, maybe they'll finally release that? Looking at the pictures the theme seems to be rabbits/fairytale so my mind immediately went to Alice in Wonderland and I seriously hope I'm wrong because boo! I'm apparently the only person on earth who doesn't like that story and thinks it's way overrated and overdone. But I think we'll see the answer during the next week as they post more pictures and likely upload the dolls on Friday then. *Crosses fingers it's MDFs but NOT Alice in wonderland themed*

 

I’m so excited about those bunny teasers. Are sculpts with bunny legs too much to hope for? Imagine them in fantasy color resin~
I’m absolutely not a fan of Alice and Wonderland either, but I see carrots and persimmons(?) in the teaser photos, so I'm guessing/hoping Alice and Wonderland isn't the theme.

 

Looks like the bunnies are Senior delfs, Luts Twitter has pictures now. That's bit of a bummer since they're gorgeous and I'd snatch their heads (especially Dawn's) if they were msd sized. :')

 

Yeah I just left them a note at the Q&A asking if these senior delfs are the last part of the event or if there will still be model delfs or something coming up. But if this was it then I can save my money. Or more like use it elsewhere since I have dolls who need bodies

 

Oh, okay, if the bunnies are senior Delfs, I'll definitely get the romantic Diez elf boy in one of the fantasy resins. Still waffling over which one, but at least I have a bit to decide.

I'm definitely leaning towards Bubble Mint now, I love that color. Although I do love Luts's tan skins and the grey as well.

 

I have to say, bory is my favorite kid delf doll all this year and she is my first BJD. I love styling her and dressing her. She is more than a doll to me...

 

does anyone own a doll in strawberry pink resin? i can't choose between that, lavender or bubble mint for the doll i plan on ordering

 

Luts replied to my question about model delfs with "We have more plans for this summer event, but there is no model delf line yet." The wording is vague so I'm unsure if I should read it like "no model delfs in this event, but there'll be more of other dolls" or "there'll be model delfs (and other dolls?) but we haven't posted then yet" either way, sounds like there's still more to come before the event is over.

 

I feel like it's probably intentionally vague to keep it a surprise. Cryptic! Lol guess we'll just have to wait and see

 

I finally decided to get two birds with one order, and got Muhwa as a centaur (Brown & Tan). I wanted her for ages and I think this is the best choice overall. I'm obsessing now over not getting human legs along with the centaur parts, but I told myself I don't need option parts languishing in a box just because I can't make up my mind.

I got the centaur outfit too.

 

I posted the link in the model delfs discussion to the sneak peak of the new male body that was posted by the Luts Director. But along with that tweet, there’s news of a new line being pre released during an event on July 9th if I’m understanding the translation correct. The line was worked on privately so I guess it’s going to be a surprise as to what scale it will be

 

This girl is in Bonco? Wow in owner pics I wouldn't have guessed that. Looks a lot lighter than I thought. Any chance you could take a natural lighting pic of this girl?
