Hello! Here’s an update of my kdf (carrot, peach, and jamong), along with my sister’s/@Snow White (yul, berry, and basil)!

Thanks! Exactly! I had two—a boy and a girl. I thought that would be enough, but then I wanted another one, though, in a different skin tone. And now that I have a RSB (Real Skin Brown), it’s so lovely that I want a RST (Real Skin Tan) too...

 

So I think I've finally decided on what BOY I want...and Bory is it! I don't know why I fought it so hard, but ultimately Bory is a great boy sculpt. I guess I didn't want to immediately go for the popular boy sculpt...I wanted to view other options. Honestly though, none of the faces are quite as mature as I'd want (and I like the size of KDF head on MDF body). Now...the saving begins!

Somehow, I got to browsing in the Delf and Senior Delf 65 section of the websites.....AND ALL THESE CUTE BOYS!!!! X_X
I had never really considered getting a doll larger than MSD size, but I am quite smitten with Senior65 Gray. If I can find more owner pictures/videos of him, I'm pretty sure his fate will be sealed!

I wanted to be sure about what doll I get next so I know exactly how much to save for. *fingers crossed*

 

I've done that so many times before! I'll find myself looking through all the Delf and Senior Delf sculpts for that older look. In fact, that's how I found Senior65 Delf GRAY~ He's on my wishy; I am planning on purchasing him in the near future, so that my Tokuji (Delf ARAGORN) can have a brother! What skin tone are you planning on getting? I'm leaning towards Real Skin Light Tan. Also, my first bjd was a Senior Delf and they are amazing! You should definitely get one!

 

I feel the same way, I also want a Bory light tan.... maybe someday I’m gonna get another one XD When I got real skin brown I thought the shade was slightly off for me but we rarely see tan KDFs. Maybe because they cost extra money for the skin tone.

 

Aragorn is so handsome! I really like the darker goth / punk look. The contrast with the lighter skin tone and dark face really strikes me, so I'll probably go for the Normal skin tone. If I was going for the Senior Delf Noel or Bory, I think I'd like him better in Light Tan. I'm pretty sure that 65cm is as large as I'd want to. (Lets hope so, cause my pockets really can't take any more LOL I always like to get at least 1 full outfit, wig and eyes with my order...so that's an easy $100-200 on top of the doll and shipping so I have to be mindful...)

I was looking for a "boyfriend" for my KDF but uh, he's definitely going to tower over her farther than I'd like. At this point I don't even care if he fits into my mosh pit of a story right now, I WANT HIM!

I thought it was just me, but I find the Real Skin Brown is odd too!!! Its a lot more yellow looking in person and I don't care for it at all. When I ordered my Muhwa, I was going by the company photos of the tan girl. I didn't know Real Skin Brown wasn't the one in the photo, so I was a bit surprised at how light she was when she arrived. I honestly wouldn't get RSB again on any other doll, but I instantly fell in love with my girl so I can look past the resin color. I think the skin tone is why I have a hard time finding suitable wigs for her. Most colors just clash oddly for me, so the dark brown/black hair makes her skin tone look less yellowy to me.

 

Actually real skin brown was the one in the official photo, at least they labeled it that way for Bory but the picture just comes out much darker than how we see it in real life. I think I had more problem with the faceup than the skin tone lol. Somehow the brown Bory end up looking really feminine instead of boyish. Although it’s true that it’s harder to fit the right wig. I’ve noticed that certain colour do look nicer on Brown Bory than my real skin normal Bory tho.

 

Another thing I noticed (just now, as Im literally stalking the LUTS website...smh) is that most of their dolls have major body blushing. I just seen one doll that probably is RSB but looks way tanner because of the blushing..so there is that.

On another note, @Shougi I just found a comparison of the Senior65 vs the KDF, there is NO way the couple duo will work with that big of a size difference The Senior65 is almost two KDF tall! O_O ...welp I might be back to the drawing board on this search after all.

 

All this talk about tan skinned dolls is making me jealous... I was set on my next doll being a light tan or tan Kid Delf, but ever since LUTS released Senior65 Delf WINE, I’m so torn! I really want him! He’s so gorgeous! But if I were to get him next, then I would be getting another light skinned doll... Ugh! I’m so confused...

 

@DollieLovex3 I had a Senior65 Delf a while back, but ended up selling him, because he was too big and his legs were super long. But I loved holding a large doll, so I decided to purchase a Delf and now I prefer the Delf size. The body is more youthful and the legs are perfect. Though, if you’re looking for a boyfriend for your KDF, I do think it’s a big difference in height... I have a hard time taking pictures with a KDF and a DF~SDF together. Actually, I have a picture I can show you. This is my sister’s BASIL with my ARAGORN. I hope this helps.

Well, WINE is absolutely gorgeous, so you should definitely get him and share pictures! Besides, I am most likely getting a tan next~

 

@Shougi I love the photo!!! So, I’m still thinking... I will definitely get WINE, but I just don’t know when. And, when I do get him, I will definitely share! I really do need a gorgeous tan doll though... You have one already and planning on getting another and I have none... not cool~

 

Ok all hope is not lost, my friend! So this is what I have figured out....

The only suitable pairing for Yoko's height (in my preference) would be another KDF or Model Delf. So Bory is most likely going to be her BF Lol. He has a sweet face, but the MDF Bory still has enough of a mature look for me to live with Yay! Bory gets cuter in every size it seems...

My Gray Senior65 doesn't quite fit in with the crew..but Im Ok with that. I really like him so it doesn't much matter. (I don't think he'll play into the story)

I'm sure you won't regret it. I actually wanted a lighter toned doll (since I already have a brown and a tan) but somehow...I keep getting roped back into tan Lol

Thank you for sharing this truly helps a bunch! I think, in terms of a companion for my KDF, a Model delf boy will be just right ^_^

I am still absolutely sold on a Senior65, or a Mychoice with my Gray's head. I think its so funny how they just extend the legs for these dolls sizes, but the torso proportions stay the same ROFl. I don't mind it though. Your boy is so beautiful!

 

@DollieLovex3 I think it’s a great idea to get a MDF. Plus, a lot of them look really good! My favorite is MDF Black, but Bory is cute too! And, thanks! I’ll try to take more photos of him with my KDF.

I'm going to have to take another photo of all of my babies again, because LUTS gave me an update that my ZUZU Animal Delf KONG will be shipping next week! Yay! I ordered the Melon Deer because he looked so sweet and I am kind of obsessed with deer.

Now, I'm just waiting on my Honey31 Bory Romance. But, he probably won't ship until September, hopefully...

Ugh... I am so broke... LUTS just had to release a Romance BORY... Unfortunately, my WINE will now have to wait until at least the end of November or early December...

I also wanted to get a honey31 ann or bory but... still trying desperately to stick to one size because I know how crazy I become with assembling all of their outfit/wigs/other accessories!!!!

Maybe in a couple years, I can afford to go to different sizes.

 

I thought about the Honey31, but after seeing a video comparison decided against it. The original HDF body is a bit chubbier, and I like that! Im starting to learn I like the thicker limbs vs. Slim MSD too. I think that's mostly why I put Miyoami up for sale. I'd really like to work on getting a LUTS boy next.

 

Save up for a Volks doll if you like chubbier dolls! Their 1/4 sized dolls are chubbier than kid delf. I remember that kid delf used to say the size of the sculpt for the head but since they created new site, it doesn’t show all the detail measurements anymore?

I understand how crazy it can be, but I can't help myself...
Not only are some molds limited to one size, but having different sizes just makes things less boring--in my opinion.
I could never imagine having only KDF. Although, I do envy those who are happy with owning just one size.
I'm sure it makes things a lot easier.

 

@A Wee Tiefling I think you're right. The new owner and I had quite the lengthy [excited] discussion about MYOU brand and Alice's Collections upon setting up the layaway Lol. I'm happy she's going to a nice new home. I still love MYOU, but possibly their big baby line only...I just like the thicker limbed sculpts. She wasn't a slim MSD compared to minifee..but she wasn't chubby either like LUTS Type 5, either.

 

My Honey31 Delf BORY Romance Ver. Limited arrived safe and sound! I didn't get a chance to post on DoA when he arrived (two days ago ), but here is a photo of him and my YUL. The size comparison is pretty nice.

@A Wee Tiefling Thank you! I wish there were more PEACH sculpts out there... She's so pretty. I always question whether I should change her, because she can be so versatile. I remember seeing a blonde PEACH before, and she was gorgeous! But, I don't want to change mine, because then I think I'm changing who she is... Is that weird? I think that's the reason why I always tell myself I want more dolls, so that I can keep my dolls looking the way I created them in the first place. Anyway, here's an update on my girl! It's a quick change from the other day, but I think I prefer clothes with warmer colors on her.

 

@Shougi Wow! She's gorgeous in pink! And, to be honest, I love your PEACH the way she is! Nothing wrong sticking with one look! I've sort of grown attached to a particular look my dolls have as well~

Although, I did change my YUL's eyes again... haha. But, I think I'm really growing fond of the mint green. Her other eyes did not stand out as much as these ones (and they were a little too sparkly).

Seeing everyone’s beautiful kid delfs inspired me to get one of my own! I’m super excited today since my Yuz just arrived. Right now he’s in limbo waiting for his very own wig, eyes, and clothes (he’s borrowing from another doll).

Heres Yoko's latest look! She is sporting a pair of eyes I made her to enter the Temporary Doll Eyes contest for Newbies ^_^ Im pretty proud with how they came out. I've never made anything for my doll yet, so maybe I should start soon.

I’m located in Florida so we just were bombarded for the past week with news of the most recent hurricane. I decided to name him Dorian thanks to that and plan to give him my own interpretation of Oscar Wilde’s novel, “The Picture of Dorian Gray.” I’m thinking I want to have him wear clothes with a more Victorian styling.

@orenjiina That is such a clever way to name him; I like it. The fashion style sounds like it will fit him well with that name I can't wait to see! Haha I was the same way when Yoko arrived. I immediately thought about buying another and who I'd want to save up for next. They're like Pringles....

@asatou Thank you! So this is basically what I did (copied from my photo entry text...)

Materials:
White Playdough
Nail Polish (Blue & Clear)
Iridescent Glitter
Clear School Glue

STEP 1: I started out creating two round balls from white play dough. I gently squished them down on a scrap piece of watercolor paper to make the backs flat. I used the round end of a closed ink pen to make an indention in the dome shape for the iris color. I placed a droplet of colored nail polish into the indention until it was covered. I let dry over night.

STEP 2: Using finely milled iridescent craft glitter, I sprinkled bits into the indention, on top of the colored nail polish. I poured droplets of clear nail polish inside the indention until filled. Let dry for 1 hour.

STEP 3: At this point, the eyes weren't drying fast enough Lol The clear polish also dried a bit hazy so it was hard to see the glitter. A dried crust was forming, but I could tell it was still mushy underneath. To do damage control, I patted a bit more glitter on top of the clear polish dome. I mixed water and a bit of clear craft glue to coat the entire eyeball so it would *hopefully* dry crystal clear but still show the glitter. It worked for the visual, but the texture is still a bit mushy. (It may be completely hard and dry in a couple days)

Overall this was so fun and I think I will attempt it again in the future and see if I can make it work...

Omggggg this credit card is burning my hand, I want him so badly and he's pretty much 1/2 the price Id pay for one from LUTS (plus no wait time!) Eeeekkk Idk what to do...
