Hi! Am considering getting my first Peaks Woods doll. Really excited for their Halloween event and lovely dolls!

Does anyone know if they might ever sell the hand parts separately? All the hand versions look good but it seems like you can only order one type with each body?

 

I don't know about the past, but I saw a few days ago someone asked PW on instagram about selling hands separately and they said no. I also was hoping to get some extra hands, alas!

 

I might be mistaken but if you order a Doll with the "special hand parts" it will come with the basic hands + special hands.
At least this is how it was for my FOB 1/4 girls.
I assume if you order monster hands the doll will come with basic hands and monster hands.

You can ask in their q&a board if it works like that, they are very nice and helpful.

 

@overlordu Aww that's too bad, hopefully they'll consider it in the future. I've seen some older public posts on the Q&A board where buyers requested to add extra hands to their order so it might be worth a try?

I asked Peaks Woods about the hands and they confirmed that by default, basic hands come with a doll. So if you order special hands parts, the doll will come with both basic hands + special hands!

They also confirmed it's possible add on order for extra hand parts along with a doll, although the extra hands will be without painting. If you leave them a request for this on the Q&A board, they'll give instructions how to proceed with the extra order.

 

Is anyone else having problems accessing Peakswoods site? My anti-virus software keeps flagging it for malware.

 

@Cloudedmind It seems to be all good on my end, and Norton is be reporting it as safe. But I've definitely had my antivirus software flag sites that seemed safe otherwise (like Alice's Collections), I have no idea why.

 

I'm in pain with the upcoming Halloween event because I cannot currently buy anything. Does anybody know how often Peakswoods usually has events? Are there usually a few per year?

Hello there, beautiful people! Using the opportunity, I got myself a vampire Red head in white skin. I already have a Dotty Muse and I love her so much, I decided to go for another Peakswoods girl but now my question is: anyone have any idea about decent resin matches? I'm mostly looking at more slender, delicate bodies (Maskcat and AE/Xaga specifically) so I'd be happy to hear about anything similar!

 

Usually like 3 per year? Or 4. Not very often.

I'm still sad that their layaway length got shortened and they seem to not have any dealers anymore. I was hoping to snag a Gumiho Neo since I regretted missing out on him last time, but the new boy is perfect. So beautiful. But their dolls are so expensive for only 4 months Q_Q Does anyone know if they have any dealers anymore? DDE isn't taking them.

I wish their layaways were longer too. How long were theg in the past? I wanted Gumiho Neo this time, but I really love the new dolls!

So far, I noticed they had a release for each season. I don't know if this is common.

 

Does anyone have a peakswoods white or normal resin color photo? I can't figure out if the ones I'm seeing on Instagram are white or normal colored skin resin.

Nevermind. I completely forgot Peakswoods have head sculpt examples in white resin. Does the resin for white and normal look like the photos displayed on the links below in real life? I would appreciate if anyone can share photos of white and normal skin peakswoods that was taken at home or in natural light.

@Forever We Are Young they used to give 10 months for the longest time up until sometime in the pandemic. They were super generous and flexible, and now not so much. Butbrhw worst is that they used to have dealers that would allow longer layaway and now don't really?

Does anyone know what clothing fits peakswoods females large bust?

I can't find many urban brown photos with a variety of face ups and lighting. If anyone can post their own doll photos please share with me if you would want to.

 

@Forever We Are Young I find that most SD clothing will fit the large bust just fine. The large bust isn't nearly as huge on PW girls as most of my other large bust girls (think DD large bust or Magical Angel large bust--seriously, my MA has a couple of torpedoes strapped to her chest...compared to her, my large PW girl is practically flat). The only thing I'd worry about is a super-tight non-stretchy top made specifically for PW small busted girls.

 

Hello! I am new to DOA and so glad to find a community to discuss Peakswoods girls!
During the summer event I happened to buy a suntan dotty muse head (I'm turely regreting it and yes PW allows to buy a single special skin head with some added fee), thought I could match the head with a volks tan body. However I got my ladybee before muse arrived and...yeah, it won't match sizewise.
Can I have any suggestions about possible matching bodies besides PW's own?

How much is the special fee? Is it per head? Can it be any color?

 

I believe you can only buy extra single head in special skin colour if you order a full doll in that colour. Like you can order extra 3rd pair of hands if you buy full doll. I had seen a collector ordered that way.

 

I recently asked Peaks Woods about the blank head parts. They said it's possible to order in special skin tone, with additional $30 for each head. They never specifically said it had to be ordered with a full doll, so I think it's worth a try to ask on their Q&A board.

There's some colours that don't seem to be allowed if you refer to the head pages, as stated:

"Because of the color difference, we don't offer special skin (suntan, lavender-pink, blue-grey, emerald-green) for the head part."

 

Is anyone getting Changgwi Han? I am obsessed with his sleek face and double fangs! Sadly I can't buy a doll right now, otherwise I'd be seriously considering bringing him home. I hope to see owner photos of him though!

 

I have quite a few Peakswoods and I have never had a problem with yellowing. The coloured dolls have stayed true as well.

 

Did anyone else see that Denver Doll just added 10 beautiful FOC dolls to their “in stock” section!? They are all so pretty. Im half disappointed and half relieved that they don’t have any FOB ones as I only stick to msd size.

 

@blackcat87 I saw and caved for one of the Red's in Suntan DDE had in stock. I have her on a 9 month layaway, which I'm grateful for because I don't think I'd be able to get one of these beauties otherwise. I can't help but be a sucker for Peakswoods' dolls!

 

I ended up ordering his human version, but his monster version is tempting me so bad. I don't think I've ever seen a doll with teeth like that.

Lavendar pink & one of peakswoods tans not sure which one. Can someone tell me which color this is?

I will post more later once I find on my saved, but you can find these on Instagram if you look. It might take some time because it took me a while to find these for the past few months. Some I won't post because they say not to share without permission. It's best to look at multiple Instagram posts, youtube, etc to try to figure out what the color looks under natural lighting vs artificial lighting and some dolls might be yellowed in some. I always look for multiple sources of photos to determine what the color might look like in real life.

Congrats! Red is so pretty. I was starting to worry that DDE might never offer PW dolls again after I contacted them once about it. I was so happy to see them there! Especially with that extended layaway, it makes it more of a possibility for some of us to be able to afford them.

 

Did they extend the layaway more then 9 months for peakswoods?

 

Special fee for FOB is ~$30 per head through paypal. I think the color will be limited to the ones they opened during an event. But you don't have to order it with a same color body for sure, since I've placed a suntan head order along with moonlight grey full doll. Although they mentioned in the head pages that they are not offering special skin heads but as long as you Q&A them they are very likely to offer that.

 

No, 9 months is the max layaway length through Denver Doll still, but it's definitely more flexible than the 4 months Peakswoods offers.

So I also took advantage of DDE having available Peakswoods dolls and got a Red! She got here today and man, so much pouty awesomeness and she gives so much cute but diva energy lol. Pictures don't capture the lovely shimmer to her faceup -- gotta use a different camera and the right lighting. I think she's great!!!! She's my first Peakswoods and now I'm super excited for my preorder of Dark Elf Lune in emerald and Lemon in the urban brown.

Even without the layaway though I have experienced highway robbery with Peakswoods this event. But, I'm happy to have secured some long time favorites even if scrounging for this layaway will hurt a bit.

 

I changed out the eyes on my Red and tried a bunch of wigs on her -- I'm liking how she looks with the wig she came with, just going to style it more. Sooo pretty!! I am thinking about what clothes I want for her.
