After Megan's mother was incarcerated for drug abuse, he was bent on making sure that she was raised with the values and ambitions that her mother lacked. Darryl supports every interest that Megan takes up (no matter how long it lasts XD ) and emphasizes the importance of short term goals and self analysis.

Romantic: Megan's boyfriend is Lucas Ruben Sheffield, the son of Darryl's friend who was killed in the accident. Although Lucas is way too laid back for Megan's own taste, she doesn't trust anyone else with her, romantically, or sexually. Lucas has always been there for her and so she has a strong bond with him that she feels is as comfortable as she will get with someone romantically. She loves him very dearly, and would give her life for him, but in all honesty, she isn't sure if there is any real chemistry between them.
