Hybrids Peak's Wood with different bodies

This is a picture of my BW DES and Leechy's Viyol (I hope she doesn't mind me posting it here). In the picture the resin seems to match pretty well, but as far as I recall, the Peakswoods resin was a little bit more pink-toned than the CP.

 

*bumps this up* Does anyone have a Volks comparison with Peakswood resin?

 

I don't have a picture but I tested my pureskin SD Mika head on a Peakswood body, when she was bodiless, and it matched very well. She has a rather small head and it made her thin and elegant. However I don't know how a PK head looks on a Volks body. If I meet a friend with a Cue, she may let me test a switch.

 

I have an oldskin volks head, and it isn't a perfect match, but its VERY close to my peakswoods bw skin tone. Volks is a bit more yellow.

I am very interested in this too~ so bumps in hopes that someone can provide visual aids!

For curiosity's sake, anyone have a normal skin comparison to add?

 

I was wondering if anyone had (or could compare for me) a Custom House head and a NS Peakswood body? Through a long chain of comparisons with my friends' dolls, we've ruled out BW Peakswood, but I'm hoping a NS would work. I really like the Peakswood bodies; my friend's Wake-Up Cue is just so poseable

Specifically, I want to put a CH Choa head on the body, but any CH head (or even a body comparison) should give me an idea on how well they might match. Thanks so much!

 

Bump! Maybe someone with a NS Peakswood could take a pic next to an oldskin Volks or any CP body? I could add that to the long string of comparisons and still get an answer. Thanks!

 

bump for la_contessa! I have a BW peakswood, but no heads that I can pop around that are customhouse.

 

Batchix pointed out in my LJ that since Faux matched the CH body, but Georgie doesn't match Faux, BW Peakswood probably doesn't work I don't think the NS will work either (I eyeballed some pictures yesterday) but I'm still hoping someone can take some comparison shots to know for sure. I love Georgie's body, I want one tooooooo....

 

pw has a very different tone to the skin, its really peachy tone in the ns.and doesn't match ch ai well at all.

 

Faux's head isn't a HORRIBLE match, its just a little more of a yellowy white as opposed to georgie's pallor. I PMed Sher, another DOAer to see if she happens to have any shots of her choa with other girl skintones to see if there might be something that she had that would work. She said the oldstlyle customhouse body is amazing and she loves it. I'm looking at getting one for Faux, so maybe get the head now and body later?

 

yep here I am... I'm a big CH cheerleader, LOL, and it honestly stumps me as to why some people seem to NOT like the old ch body. My jenna and sabrina are absolutely standing champions. They have lovely, young girl small boobs, the greatest tummy EVAH, adorable butt, and they are nice and small, they are my ballerina slender girls, you know?? Their wrists don't have much movement but that doesn't bother ME, personally, given the other plusses their bodies can do when posing that my other dolls can't.

mehhh this one might not be all that helpful - Fairfax (juri) is BW luts, Libertine is regular luts (she's OLDER so she's not as pink as the new luts regulars have been). I'd stand by the statement that Jenna doesn't match either of these very well.

here's Jenna with Elijah Belle, 4 sisters OLD skin. jenna is definitely more of a yellow tone than EB.

I know this is a long shot, as I see that there aren't very many people who own Peakswood dollies sharing pics of them.

I've read a bit about resin matching between Luts and Peakswood, however I wasn't able to find many pictures, especially recent ones.

Now that luts has come out with a type 2 and 3 body (which have gotten clearly smaller with each incarnation). Does anyone have any newer comparison shots of how the Peakswood heads match resin wise as well as scale wise with the type 2 or 3 Luts bodies?

Scale wise either skin tone is fine, but for resin I am looking for a white skin comparison please.

I'm specifically looking for a Segi as the model if possible, but since all PW heads are made for the PW girl body I can assume it's safe to say they are all roughly the same size.

I do have a Peakswoods Goldie and 2 delf girls, so I will try to put my Goldies head onto the Luts body somewhere this week.

Both are white skin, but I can tell you that the head won't fit the type 2 girl body because the type 2 have a different neck mechanism.

I finally put my Peakswoods head on my delf body.
First of all, I used Varushka's body. She is a delf type 1 head on a delf type 2 body, so I already removed the neck system.
Varushka arrived in June '08, my Peakswoods Goldie (Alexis) is second hand, but her certificate of authenticity states that she is from August '08, so both bodies haven't really yellowed yet.

But onto the pictures.


This is a front view. From this picture view, the head looks ok. A bit small though. In real life, I find it look more odd than on this picture.


Side view


This is an angle view, and you can see a gab between the neck and the head.


And another picture showing that the head doesn't really fit.


This is also an inside view of the head. The s-hook from the body doesn't really stay well into the head, so if the donut gets moved by playing, it is possible that the head would pop off the body.

And a last note, the resin is a close one, but doesn't really match unless you would use blushing. The peakswoods white skin has a slightly pinky undertone while the luts white skin is more of a yellow/creamy white.
It's hard to pick up good by camera.

So I wouldn't reccomend it.

I have a Peaks Woods Cue and a Volks F-01. The resin color is very similar, I think the Peaks Woods is a tad lighter. This picture is all I have right now, I can take nude pictures if you want.

Hello! I just want to ask if DOD resin is at least close to Peakswood resin? Since it's been described as "pinkish"?

 

I was wondering if anyone knew a nice slender body that could be used to hybrid with the FOC heads? I want a stylized body similar to the Rosette dolls with the long limbs, also, the shorter the better. I would really appreciate some help!

I've been struggling with this question fo some months now, for myself and for members interested in buying my PK Sky and Goldie heads. The best match I could come up with was the Dollmore SD body in NS. The resin match is very close and the head fit is good. Hope that helps

just thought I'd add this, NS BBB/RS is a perfect match to NS PW. I have a PW Lady Bee on an immature BBB body and it looks great. can't help much with SD size because I haven't really looked into making hybrids in that size. but it looks like the neck is a little too wide on BBB/RS bodies.

seeing as BBB and Dollzone are a horrible match (from what I've heard) and BBB and PW match, I'd say the match isn't very good for DZ to PW.

 

Anyone have picture of peak's wood with minimee? Are their resin match? I understand that new MNM resin are more pinkish. But I didn't know it's a pink-pink like DOD or they are more peachy-pink like PK's.

I have seen pics of PW girls on Volks bodies at Dollheart website and at Flickr, but now PW and Volks resins together are a huge NO. Here's a pic of my new Skiya head on a Volks oldskin body...



I know it's an old body and it's a little yellow, but it matches really well my Crobidoll girls that are made to match Volks.
PW resin is totally pink, it has nothing to do with Volks resin now.

As for my PW girl, she is on an Angel of Dream body. I am very happy with the match in colour and fit.

 

Hmm... There seem to be more questions than answers here, but it would be awesome if I could put a Peak's Woods FOC head on a Fairyland body. Does anybody know if that would work? Their bodies seem to have limited poseability, so I want something more flexible... I might have to just order a head and then buy random bodies off the marketplace until I find one that fits! @_@

Hi, so I don't know if there is a specific thread for this, or what, but I need answers! I already have a Luts Kid Delf girl body, Normal Skin(http://eluts.com/shop/step1.php?number=273) and have been searching for a head for a character I have been wanting to make her into. I finally found THE perfect, little face. It is a Peakswoods FOB MoriMoth head(http://peakswoods.net/shop/step1.php?number=813) which comes in Normal and White skintones, and I am absolutely in love with it. However, the two big questions I have been unable to find answers to, are:

Would the resin colour be compatible? And if so, how could I mod it for cheap to match? Also, size... Would I be able to fit the head onto the body? Both sites state that Neck girth for Kid Luts and FOBs are 7.8 cm and 7cm respectively. However, when I measured my Kid girl's neck, it turned out to be 6.5 cm?

I'm very confused >.< Please help!

Or alternatively, I could switch out my normal skin body for a white one if I find someone who has the white body, would the white Peakswoods head resin colour then match the white Kid Delf body?

I'm tempted to get a FOF head and stick it on a Soom Teenie Gem body, not sure how well it'd look though. (o: Also if it's not too much trouble, does anyone know if peakswood's tiny bodies are compatible with Soom's fantasy parts?

As the title says, I'm looking for pictures of a Peakswoods FOB head on Minifee body. I don't care much about resin matching, but I would love to see if the MNF neck fits to the FOB head.

Resin matches for white skin are also appreciated .
