Thanks for making this, @babytarragon! I see you don't have a link to the Huajing-Doll discussion thread---perhaps you could add it? (The 1/4 thread is here---I'm assuming folks could chat about their Baby Mini dolls there even though right now most of the chat is centered around the standard minis.)

Asleep Eidolon (seems to be under the same umbrella as Xagadoll?) also seems to have some dolls of this size too! just pre-ordered a BB-sized Cordelia from them.

I wanted to point out, also, the jointed chubby baby hands by Doll Family H. They should probably fit a variety of the big baby dolls. Alice's Collection also has them. They are on sale until 10/10/16 on Alice's Collection! I'm considering them for my Myou BB...

I know Xagadoll is already listed, but they released a new LE vampire Big BB for Halloween---to my knowledge, she's the first limited edition in this size range.

Clotho (with vampire fangs; human head available separately)!

Xagadoll also released an angel LE (Dorothy) but I don't think the head is any different than their other dolls she has elf ears.

Anyway, just wanted to share those LEs here in case someone is dreaming of a Big BB with fangs!

I love this size of doll - all the doll companies seem to be jumping on the big baby bandwagon now! What's so ironic is Doll Family were doing big babies back in 2008 - Pomelo and Kelasi - I was looking at them in 2012, but then they discontinued them as they weren't a very popular size I guess. Then almost immediately afterwards there was a baby boom!

 

SoulDoll just added their version of the chubby mini, 35 cm Childhood series.

 

Chicabonita now has a 40cm body in addition to their old 46cm body Enfant - ::Chica bontia;:

Are the new Myou 1/6th dolls on the pear bodies also considered BB's? Since they are 30cm tall and have the same big hips and large ball joints that the 1/4th girls do. I know this list on page one has dolls from as big as SD.. so it kind of seems like they should technically be in here too? I have one of them and they are literally exact same porportions as the Myou BB's here is mine next to my 40cm girl.

 

It looks like Dollzone is or has discontinued their BB dolls, www.doll-zone.com.

 

They did and we don't know why. The big bb trend is still hot so I'm confused QAQ

Also Bambicrony released their Bonbon line and Roserin Doll has their big bb Amy.

 

@AnnoDomini Perhaps there's just wasn't that popular. I've only seen one or two around myself, and I must admit I kept putting off getting one myself. As they say, you snooze you lose.

Hi! So... is there any other dolls that are similar in size to RL Holiday Child?
Or what would I search for to buy my dolls dresses or accessories. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

 

I think normal msd dresses tend to fit them well. Have a look at volks SDM dolls measurement too?
Whenever I shop for my dolls, I see their are three types of MSD dresses
One to be slim msd, other is normal msd and last MDD
You can always check the measurement of the clothes you are interested at They always write their full clothing measurement or sometimes identify doll size that fits it.

I'm not familiar with Rosenlied Holiday Child dolls, but evidently they have similar measurements to Volks DearSDs and Luts Baby Delfs. They are not exactly the same, but there's a decent amount of cross over that is doable. Just feel free to ask what works for members as they are on the hunt themselves. Here's a thread someone else started that maybe you can ask if anything worked out for that particular owner. And of course, any of the Rosenlied discussion threads.

The first post on this Luts Baby Delf - 40cm talks about measurements and possible clothing shares and of course later posts have more up to date information. At the moment the first part of this thread, Volks DearSD 43cm Discussion Part 2, seems to not be available (as well as some of the links in the Luts thread) but people tend to talk about where to find clothing and shoes that fit their dolls in both threads.

Here is the Volks USA website for clothing that can fit DearSDs. They tend to go quickly as there's not much out there for DearSDs. Some people fudge it by using SD sized clothing, but it depends on the cut/pattern of the outfit and the dimensions of your doll. Here is the original Japanese website (simply use Google to translate the entire page into English) explaining what Volks DearSDs are, their measurements, and the different ones that have been released. Keep an eye out in the DoA Marketplace for the outfits as they tend to go on sale every once in a while either as a fullset or in pieces.

Here is the Luts website for Baby Delf clothing. Right now, it is pretty sparse as well, but with both sites check like once a month or sign up for their mailing lists to get updates on the latest sales, items, and all that. Here is the link to the Baby Delf line to see what they have, their measurements, and all that. Lots of times, they include what outfits, wigs, and shoes the doll is wearing so again you can kind of keep a look out either on the main website or in the DoA Marketplace for similar items.

It just happened to me, but there appears to be two Luts websites. I think one is legit and the other isn't when I did a generic search for Luts dolls so be careful. If anything, you can always buy from a US retailer or again from the DoA Marketplace. Heck, even Etsy has stuff for BJDs if you are willing to spend the time to find someone that specializes in your specific doll. Hope this was helpful. Good luck in finding an outfit and accessories for your doll!

 

Re: Dollzone Big Baby (NB40-001) body, I just ordered and paid for that body with the Nan head. It will probably be practically a year until it arrives but just wanted to respond that in March 2022 I could order that body. Fingers crossed.

Alicescollection.com is where I ordered it. Paid for it on April 2,'22. She sent me an email saying that DZ still makes it. I know they made a doll using that body with some kind of animal feet recently. You could order it in animal form (animal feet) or human form which would have the human feet. If I remember correctly, I saw it on a bjd site in the UK but I have never seen that DZ body with animal feet anywhere else. If I find that information I will post it here.

 

@puffin463 Thanks! Nice to know that they've brought the body back. I do remember that bunny girl. I think she was limited, which is why it never crossed my mind that they might be offering the body again.

Dikadoll also sells a 1/4 chubby, Christmas Dobbie - 41cm Dika Doll - BJD, BJD Doll, Ball Jointed Dolls - Alice's Collections . She only comes with the deer head, but if you want her body separately it's here: Doll Parts, Dika Doll - BJD, BJD Doll, Ball Jointed Dolls - Alice's Collections . I own two, they fit Volks/non-slim MSD size clothing, their feet are only 5cm though so normal size MSD shoes are a bit big on them. The deer head takes 10 inch wigs and 24mm eyes!

 

I was helping someone with listing some other available big babies that weren't on this list, and I thought I should just add that information here to help people looking in the future

Unfortunately, most of the doll companies on this list have now discontinued their big baby lines, but there are still some out there!

There is Petit Soiree, the spiritual successor to Rosen Lied with some of the same artists! They have the Viande-38 line, which are there big babies (Doll - Viande 38). I don't own the Viande body, but it looks like it can manage some good posers.

Another is Akagi doll. I can't seem to find where Akagi dolls are currently being sold, but there are a decent number available second hand. I have the 38cm chubby baby body, which fits my Rosen Lied Holiday's child head quite well. I really recommend this body, as it poses so nicely and has a good weight to it!

Finally, there is Breathdoll's SD-9 heads (sd/9 - sd/9), which look very sweet!

I hope one day big babies will become popular again! They look so sweet with 1/3 and uncle-sized dolls, as baby siblings or children.
