I got it on ebay, but it is a bit small Its not zipped all the way in the back. But I love it and eventually I will add lacing to it!

Is Ellowyne white resin?

 

yes, she is the white resin, which I found to be a "warm white". I did the blushing myself.

 

I am happy with the white resin too. She is pretty. Nice job on blushing!

Hello all, I also have MYou Loretta
I am wondering where to find shoes for her size? 1/4 shoes are way too small. I don't own any 1/3 shoes yet - I'm not certain they would fit. I don't want to make shoes!

 

Some 1/4 shoes do fit, but it is truly hit or miss! I can confirm that this pair fits:

I so want a Loretta, kind of deciding between the big baby and a 30cm YOSD...just love her face.

As for shoes, AOD and big baby are both 5.8 so whatever is labeled for AOD should fit.

Is there a doc or something for clothes?
Seems like JID stuff would fit, they're only 1-2cm bigger.

 

I'm struggling with clothes, since they are so chubby! Even things that look bigger online, are too small when I get them. I started making my own clothes for her! Anything marked for Rosenlied Holiday's Child should be close to fitting, but I haven't tried yet.

Does anyone here have a picture of their 40cm Myou doll with a YOSD (or the 30cm from Myou)?

I'm really curious to see the size difference, as I'm having a hard time picturing it, but I can't find any pictures that help! xD

I, personally, don't think they play well together. BB are just too different a proportion! But they do look nice with the original SD, I think.

I'm not buying dolls again for a while, but I wasn't sure if I was going to want an MSD again later, but seeing the 40cm BBs I really love the size! Defiantly going to keep my eye on them for a future purchase!

They defiantly are different, but I like the size somehow, and I'm not too worried about all my dolls being the right scale compared to each other.

 

@skyf It is my very favorite size now! I want more chubby goodness!

 

I am in absolute love with the Big Baby line. I have two so far (my Lola in my profile pic and Nia below) and one coming home soon. Everyone's pictures are great to see .

Thank you! Yes, they are both in the tan skin they offer. I ordered both of them (and the new one coming in) from MYou directly.

@puellarantsol829 They are gorgeous! Its the perfect size! I love the tan resin, its nice and warm like the other skin tones. Were there any seam lines with the tan skin? How was working directly with MYou?

 

do you think American Girl clothes would fit these dolls? Only there's a ton of sewing patterns out there for that size of doll - I'm guessing at 18" they're going to be long in the leg, but maybe width-wise they'd fit OK?

 

Thanks! The resin is probably some of the best I have seen for a tan/dark skin doll (although my experience is limited). There are few to no seam lines and the sanding on them is very unnoticeable. I only really notice sand lines on my Lola, but they are not bad at all.

Working with MYou was great as well. They responded to emails within 24-36 hours, notified me of delays and provided a tracking number as soon as the dolls were completed. They are a good vendor if you are wanting to work with them directly. Both orders took about 2-3 months to complete and arrive at my home.

They actually fit Disney Animators clothing extremely well, especially the dresses. The pants for Disney Animators are a little too big, but are wearable with a belt. I have bought all of their clothes (except Nia's outfit in my first post and in the picture below) from Etsy or "borrowed" them from the few Disney Animators dolls I have, so if you are looking for something to model clothes for them I would look in that direction.

Here is another picture of Lola and Nia together. I can't wait for their other sister to arrive in the new year.

Yes, Lola was my first girl and as soon as she arrived I knew I wanted to get more, lol. I may get some of their 1/6 versions next year but for now I am on a dolly diet

 

@elve, I did some pics of BB in american girl clothes and in slim 18" clothes, and neither work well.

Thanks for sharing more pictures! This really makes me want to get one in the tan skin! Also adorable outfits! It's cool to know about what size fits them, and I really love that orange wig, looks amazing!

 

MYou just released big baby pear shaped bodies! Not my thing, but I know some people like them! And two new BB's to go along with it. I would think you could request them with whichever body you preferred. Matcha & Mousee. Matcha is lovely and reminds me of Loretta.

I really, really like the new pear body! The new doll Matcha is lovely- but I've been eyeballing Nianer for a while now. I just didn't like the body she was on. I wonder if I could get Nianer on the Pear body before the 10th and get the 15% off... hmm I will have to think on that some. Is ordering direct from Myou the way to go or should I go through Alice's or some other dealer? The more I look at Myou's face sculpts the better I like them.

 

I put in an order for 2 dollmore mokashura size dresses. I chose the "slow" shipping so it'll be a while (anyone order direct before? If you're in the US?) before I get them and I guess they may be a bit loose but I'd rather have things loose than too tight to fit!

But now I feel a bit silly because I could've just ordered Disney animators stuff off Etsy and saved some money xD
But whatever, they look really nice, will share when I get them and try them on!

Question for wigs....So the doll head is 23cm. Does this mean they can take 8/9 wigs (often described as a max of 23cm) or is that too tight?

As for shoes, does anyone know if/how Disney animators shoes fit? Length seems OK but what about width?

 

@101i74 I just got my Mokashura dress for my BB:


I think its a bit short, so I may take the skirt off and insert a piece of fabric between the bodice and the skirt, then add a ribbon to cover it up. But probably not... that's a lot of work lol!

 

I think she looks adorable as is but you could maybe add an elastic waist underskirt if you wanted it longer - easier than taking bodice off and adding length there.

 

Oh that's cute! I was debating on that one too lol! I don't mind that they're short, shows more of their adorable chubby legs.

You could make a white underskirt with ruffles to add length, maybe 2-3 rows of small ruffles for a natural transition :3
Or take pics from above and it'll appear longer :p

 

@101i74 Here is a Disney Animator original dress and shoes... perfection!



Edited to add: I just tried on a 'Cinderella' animator shoe, which has a strap, and it won't fit over her chubby arch.

 

Bonus, guys, you could use the 'dress form' that comes from some Disney Animator sets as a form for sewing for your BB! I snagged one to use They come in some of the bigger sets.

Here's my Loretta.....I'm a little salty about being so worried that she'd have nothing to wear and this Volks msd set fits fine.
I'm not going to keep this wig on her, that belongs to my SD and is my only 9/10 wig right now v.v
She's gonna get a blonde wig and I'm not too fond of these eyes. I'm not sure what size they are, anyone know?

Well, I just placed an order for Matcha from Alice's Collection I ordered her in white skin, with faceup and shoes (so I know I'll have at least one pair that fits her). And now for the long wait! I was really torn between Matcha and Nianer but in the end Matcha's more traditional doll-like face won out.
