I love seeing everyone’s dolls!
After twelve years in the hobby and a solid hiatus from the community as a whole, I just got my first Pukifee this past week! I’ve wanted one for ages. She’s a tan Zoe named Folia(pictures to come I promise). And I couldn’t resist, DDE had a tan Jude fullset in stock and I just put it on layaway. The plan is for him to be Folia’s shyer brother, Fawn. I’m so excited! I think I want an army of them though

They are adorable!! Where did you find tiny sneakers like that? I’m having the worst time finding shoes that aren’t way too big.

I think I may have fallen in love with Vanilla. I just wish her full set was still available with her little astronaut costume

Does anyone have an unpainted Vanilla to get a better look at her?

She's modeling a pair of socks I tried to make. They do resemble socks atleast but she's a little wary because she find they don't do her cuteness justice. Silly girl~♡

I got my Jude today! His name is Fawn. Here he is with sister Folia(Zoe). Excuse the horrible cellphone picture. I'm so happy with Jude as a sculpt. He's even cuter in person!

Fawn and Folia are so adorable together. They almost make me want to get another Pukifee. My poor wallet is hiding somewhere. The Jude sculpt is really growing one me.

I have a question about her eyes. Are they 12 mm or 14 mm?

I am planning to get a Lati Yellow, who is the same size as the Pukifee, and I am not sure about eyes.

@Owl Queen , my Ante has 12mm Dollbakery eyes in the photos above.

 

Dear JinCIncy, hello. This is so helpful. I think I like the 12 mm eyes better as you can see more of the white.

I was looking online and trying to find a BJD with 12 mm eyes standing next to a BJD with 14 mm. I haven't had any luck. The doll eye vendors seem to only have photos of eyes and not eyes in a doll. I have also seen where an eye vendor will have a doll modeling an eye color but you don't know what size eye the doll has.

My Iplehouse BJD, in my ID photo, has eyes that are the wrong size, I think. I had such a hard time finding any eyes that I liked so I just left them on her.

My NS Pukifee Jude, who I've turned into the angel Aziraphale from "Good Omens." I actually thought I'd have trouble shelling his character, but he turned out to be the cutest thing.

All of these pukifees are seriously making me want to get one of my own! They're so little and cute, I love the pointy ears too

 

I was wondering if anyone else has issues with their Pukifee sitting up? My pukifee Frozen stands well enough, but when I try to sit him down even with just legs out straight in front, he wants to teeter backward. It feels like unless there is something behind him, he just won't cooperate. Do I need to restring maybe or is this just an issue with the mould having a big (adorable) head?

Yes. I’m a bit disappointed with their posing actually, after first owning pukipuki and realpuki. Mine sits in a chair mostly.

@Ruthiepooh Have you tried wiring her? I recently bought very thin wire and will attempt wiring all my dolls. Good to know that Pukifees really belong on that list of "Need to wire/suede".

Thank you all. Her eyes are by SafrinDoll. Jenny made the most incredible eyes, but it looks like her website no longer features them and is closing, clearing out her other types of eyes as well. Makes me sad.

Must just be one of those things, as I've never had to wire any of my FL bjds except a couple of the Realpukis.

 

Large heads make a bjd hatder to balance. They usually need to lean a little forward when sitting. A magnetic white board makes a good floor to help with many poses.

 

Dear nancy_schroeder_ca, can you explain what you mean about using a white board for posing? I am trying to envision this for my doll. Thanks.

 

Since Pukifee have magnets in their feet, the magnetic attraction to the white board or a metal surface will help in balancing them.

I have to lean mine back on their hands a bit if they're not sitting back against something. I also find they stand better if they're wearing shoes.
