I just received my first Pukifee! And I am in love with her, and the size. She is incredibly cute, (Zoe sculpt, she hasn't told me her name yet,) but I had a little problem. Her head seems kind of floppy. Her head's default positions are kind of tilted back or tilted slightly looking downward. Is this how the dollies are or is there something I should be doing to fix this? If this doesn't make sense I could post pics.

Congrats on your new doll! They are very addictive, aren't they? My Ante has the same thing, it scared me a bit too when I just got her. But other people told me that this is completely normal, so don't worry! Enjoy your new girl!

 

strawberriemama, my Mio is new to me also, but she's second hand and over a year old. Her head still tilts every way but straight forward. hehehe. Right now she's sitting on my desk staring intently at the ceiling.

I'm wondering though, and perhaps the more experienced PKF lovers will know - would a kip work for the head or are these tiny darlings too small for the smallest kip?

 

Everyone's little one's are so adorable. I am hoping to get one or two of them this year.

They're the default eyes from Fairyland actually! So probably Glib acrylics (can anyone confirm this?) and 10mm. 12mm do fit though, if you want something a little bigger/more options! Below are 12mm mako eyes. That particular wig is from Crobidoll I believe if you were curious.

Kips could work - just make sure you check the size of them. Personally I would just go for some hot-glue sueding. That worked really well for me (and it's free!)

Pukifee do have this problem. Fable did it all the time. If you're okay with it, try hot-glue sueding. There's plenty of tutorials on DoA if you're unsure how to do it! I did it with Fable and it worked great!

Yes, a couple of mine had that issue. Kips could work, if you can find one small enough/cut one to fit (CoolCat on Ebay is a source there). I use adhesive-backed moleskin, the kind they sell at the drugstore. I cut a thin strip and apply it to the underside of the head to give it some traction/hold. It's a fairly inexpensive and quick solution

 

oddly enough my only one that does that is dovey, which is why she is the one that ended up with the wheelchair. i should try the hot glue sueding since that would make it easier to take pictures of her, but i'm not sure if that would change her character too much for me, and i love her the way she is...

Thank y'all for your kind help! I think I will try glue sueding, as I have seen the tutorials for this before, and it doesn't look intimidating. Also, my noob-a-licious self doesn't know what a kip is.

 

Kips are little clear rubbery plastic disks with holes in the center. They originally have other uses, but they work well for placing in dollieh joints to help with posing and stability.

Woo! New thread. Awesomesauce. Kirahfaye-- You should! They're small enough to transport in a purse, and no one seemed to mind at all. In the interest of saving time, I just told the handler or the character it's a Flat Stanley thing, or an 'art doll', and could I please get a shot. I even got a picture with her and Princess Tiana, Donald Duck, and in the theater chair on the cruise:





It was fine and no one seemed to mind.

So, I accidentally bought a Bonnie today. She was in stock at DDE and I couldn't stop myself. I'm totally not prepared for this. She'll be my first doll in this size and I have nothing that will fit her. I have some wigs and clothes that I ordered with my Tiny Delf but that's a few months away. I've never been so impulsive so I'm panicking a bit. I don't know what to name her.

 

you'll love her though, and anything you get for her she can share with your tiny delf so it will all work out

(Apologies for the cross posting on threads but...) Last night I was in a car accident and rear-ended pretty badly and ended up having to go to the hospital. I'm fine, just really sore, but I could use some cheer up spam (Monday I had a flat tire, and the week before last some guy without insurance rear-ended me at a stop-sign because he 'thought I would go through'. It's been a rough few weeks!)

 

auntbear - You are right! I'm looking forward to her arrival. I'm glad that my two girls will be able to share things, even if they have different styles. The wigs I ordered for my tiny delf won't work for her. I found a couple I want, so I'll probably be ordering them soon. I've decided that Bonnie will be a little tomboy and she'll be named Remi. It's funny how things quickly come together when you calm down a bit.

Yes, I couldn't think of more suitable names for my little sweeties and if I ever get a Bonnie, she'll be called Ferrero.

 

I absolutely love the theme! There are so many delicious candies out there you'd run out of dollies before you ran out of names!

She did! I haven't had a chance to play with her, though...both of my kids as well as my hubby got hit by a stomach bug, and things have been CRAZY around here!

 

She is so wonderful and gorgeous! I just love her. n_n

I really wish I could buy in stock dolls all the time. After just 2 days my Bonnie is home! Forgive me while I squeal over her. I'm really impressed with her. Pukifees are magical posers and just a joy to play with. My boyfriend even played with her and he refuses to touch my other dolls! She's much smaller than I imagined. Making clothes for her will be a challenge but I can't wait to start on them. I'm really happy with her default eyes. I had decided on brown for her and that's what she came with! Hopefully, her wigs will arrive pretty quickly.

 

I hope you feel better, SmokeyMote. It's always traumatic to go through something like that. D:
