auntbear, where in the world did you find a wheel chair in perfect Pukifee size?! My daughter and I were speculating on a character that would need a wheel chair and we set the idea aside because we figured it would be too difficult to get the chair.

Some Dony and Cony spam for those who are undecided. Tempest, my Dony, in the blue dress and Zephyr, my Cony, in brown.

Cony isn't easy to style - it took four wigs to find the right one for her. She has a very high forehead and round, full cheeks. The first one made her look like a hamster, the second was the wrong color and the third made her look like Courtney Love. (NOT what I was going for!)

Come to think of it, she does have the same adorable, solemn expression as my hamster, though.

it's a wwf action figure wheel chair. they are really easy to find and reasonably priced (about $10 + shipping) if you live in the us. a bit harder up here. i lucked out and found one on ebay. now i'm eyeing a journey girls wheelchair that is on sale locally, for one of my minifees, but i don't know if the scale would be too bulky since those dolls are ag sized.

 

Thanks auntbear! I did find a couple, but shipping from the States is about twice the price of the chair itself. I'll keep an eye open for them though. I'm not at all sure I'll do the character I'm thinking of, but it would be great to have a wheelchair if I did.

 

unfortunately that sounds about right. the one i got had cheap shipping, but everywhere else it was more than the chair was worth maybe you'll be lucky and find one up here somewhere.

Hi everyone! Search youtube for "How to Make a Doll Wheelchair"; MyFroggyStuff shows you how to make a wheelchair, crutches, a Jacuzzi, and lots of other interesting doll stuff, and makes it look easy. I'm not sure how small this one can be made, as I'm watching it with no sound, since it's only 5am here. My silly little pooch is still confused by the time change!

I second that!!! MyFroggyStuff has some terrific craft tutorials that are really simple and can be resized to fit Pukifee fairly easily!

The music weirded me out til it got near the end and crescendoed and I laughed aloud. Oh, Fairyland. But, I really liktheir videos....it makes the dolls seem more real than just a picture if that makes any sense.

 

I may have to try harder to resist getting another pukifee. I only have my Tan Ante pukifee called Tolly and he is my favourite bjd. I think he would probably like a Sister but I worry that she will vie for my attention too much when its just been me and him for so long!

yep, it was mainly the music that was amusing me! but i agree, i do like the videos and seeing the dolls in ~real life~ rather than a staged picture.

today i'm redoing my ante's face up and decided to have a go at sanding her ears down to normal person ears. i don't like elf ears very much so i'm happy with how they turned out, plus it was really easy and not scary at all! my bonnie will definitely be getting hers done too once she arrives
