2. dovey has never made it onto the first page of a new thread so she wanted to do something special to celebrate
[IMG]celebrate a new thread by onebluestocking, on Flickr
she put on her new spring hat and blew up a balloon

3. I don't think I've shared my Pimorin in the thread yet. :) Here's a new one for the spring season. Pimorin is a Zio. :aheartbea

[IMG]Pimorin and Peep by designedforsmiles, on Flickr

Goodness, I'm so grateful for that outfit... her wig is huge otherwise and will slip all over head head without her hat keeping it on. The wig is straight from FairyLand, too!

4. auntbear I like how that balloon is perfect size for your Dovey! Where'd you find such small balloon anyway :huh?:

5. Somebody mentioned glasses in the last thread, and since I have a few different ones, I took a picture.

This is the fit of three different types glasses on three different types tiny doll..
The first two (left to right) are monster high, and the last one I think is from the ever after high.. so
the head size is ever so slightly different so the fit is different. And actually the fit is different for each pair
of glasses so far..

But yeah. Then in the picture is a luts tiny delf, a pukifee and a lati yellow.
Maybe this comparison can be helpful?

6. ooh it was me asking about glasses, rytearik ! thank you! hee hee, they do look so cute.

i have never been on page 1 either! Whim is thrilled! she doesn't LOOK too thrilled, does she??

7. it is a water bomb. thanks to @mblilac who told me where to find tiny balloons! we found them at one of the dollar stores this week and went a bit crazy, i bought 7 pkgs which i think translates to about 500 balloons! :aeyepop:

well really only pongs actually look thrilled, but i think she is wondering why you never got her here before ;)

8. Ooh! New thread spam! Here's a pic I took a few weeks ago. (And also contributing to the glasses spam :)) -

10. Oh wow! What a great spammy start to a new thread ... I love them all, thanks girls! :aheartbea

Lady Madrigal: I love the pic of your Ante and Vanilla in the previous thread. They look so pretty together. :thumbup

11. Oh I am absolutely in love with all the new thread spam and speaking of happy Pongs, here is Dodee for the new thread:

12. Ooh! New thread. Love the pictures. Here is Kinsey to join in the fun.[IMG]Kinsey by koalabearsy, on Flickr

13. Hi, I'm SO happy! I ordered a tan Ante pukifee from DDE last week (they had them in stock) and after I placed the order I was reading on the Minifee thread that the tan skin dolls have a lot of issues lately. I was very nervous about my order, and a tiny regretful about it. Not to mention she is my FIRST pukifee...
so while I had my short wait for her to get here, I'm thinking to myself what will I do if she has gapping, cracks, and so forth. The Minifee thread was kinda depressing to read.
She's now here, and guess what?
Absolutely perfect!
No problems what so ever. Her face up is even wonderful. She has a sparkling sheen over her tan skin with the company face up. I love her/him. No regrets.
there is only one problem.......she/he showed up before all of her things did, so she/he is neked, bald, and shoeless.

14. Congrats on your first pukifee Brenay! I'm glad (s)he turned out perfect. Well, if she is naked, you could attempt sewing (by hand?). Have fun with the infamous sock dress and make a hat out of the heel? No sarcasm, sock dresses can be fun when you have to put a doll in temporary clothing. :)

15. that reminded me that my tan bonnie arrived just before i had my first surgery and since she needs a faceup and it was before all the problems came out i just stuck her box unopened on the shelf till i recovered and the weather got nice enough to paint her (which it still hasn't :() i just panicked now and opened the box to check her but she is perfect so she is back on the shelf with my other nekked tan pkfs whew!

16. I have four tan PKFs (all recent) and they're all perfect. So far it seems like any issues have been with larger dolls. (Fingers crossed - I have one more tan coming in at some point.)

17. yeah, that was why i hadn't checked my bonnie right away. i also got a littlefee and two other tan pukifees in an order a few weeks before bonnie and they were fine too. hopefully it continues to hold true. i have some more tan tinies on my wish list that i hope to get eventually (and one more tan minifee but i think i'll hold off o her for now!)

18. so sweet, the best part about new threads is the flurry of pics it generates :)

19. Thank you auntbear and Willoughby...

Yes that is the FL default faceup, I am undecided if I like her lips or not, they seem very different than the other vanilla pukifees.

20. i forgot to ask what wig she is wearing. it looks really nice with the tan skin.

21. Oh my, ain't she just the cutest wee thing, so prettily dressed too! I think her lips are perfect. :)

Am so loving all this tan spam. SIGH!

22. All of your girls and boys are being so adorable :3 I just want to kidnap them all and spoil them rotten. Only one more loan to pay off before I might get a little Pukifee project of my own. I look forward to that day~

Keep those lovely pictures coming~!

23. I actually love her faceup - even more than my Vanilla's!

25. Wow, Sunrei...you sure are crafty. He just got his body and headback all sorted out and he's already picking up the ladies. What a sneaky little fellow, haha~ I love the poses in the picture.

Question to everyone in general, how bad are the seam lines and out-of-factory sanding on the tan Pukifee? Trying to decide what skin color to go before I pick out the sculpt.

26. You can always use those nail files and buffing kits from the chemists to smooth out the seams, I have no experience with tans so I don't really know how the resin behaves. My guess is if it's a new doll and it hadn't yellowed then you shouldn't have a lighter colour if you sand it back? As long as you start with a hard grit and gradually work your way down to a fine buff there shouldn't be scratch marks...

27. I have had my tan Ante Tolly for a year or so now and he was purchased on the secondary market and have had no problems with him. He is chuffed with his Easter present of headphones. It's kept him quiet for a while! :)

28. Wow! Hi is soooo cute!!! *^___^* I love this wig! Where did you get this? Thanks!:D:love

29. they are a little worse than a ns or white skin because when you sand tan it looks lighter so they only sand the bare minimum.. usually top of head (which is most often covered by a wig or hat anyway) a bit on the shoulders, the tops of the thighs and the backs of the heels - looking at where mine are sanded. on the other hand my ns dolls have the seam lines sanded pretty much clean since it doesn't show to sand on ns or ws resin. to me it's worth it as i love my tan dolls. i like the variety they add and how different the sculpts look in that color.

i have several ns dolls from other companies with seam lines that look like my fairyland tan. after a little while i don't even notice them anymore. unless the seam lines on tan are sharp enough to hurt you i would just leave them alone, the sanded spots often show up more than the seams did. i don't actually find them that bad, i notice the joint lines a lot more to be honest.

those are great. where did you find headphones the right size?

30. The seams on mine aren't bad at all - my Vanilla has a seam on her left thigh piece I can feel a little more than usual, but it's not sharp enough to cut or anything and it doesn't show much at all. Her faceplate was loose right out of the box and I had to use a dab of eye putty in the magnet well to hold it on, but one of my other NS Pukifees has a loose faceplate, too. (I didn't use the magnets because I don't trust myself to not glue them in backwards.) I was a little nervous after some of the stories I've heard, but mine are all fine. :)

31. Aww, what a lovely little boy you have there. You have composed a beautiful photo, Tolly looks wonderful and so typically boyish kneeling on that chair. I don't think I've seen an Ante boy look so good. :thumbup

32. Saraht Tolly looks great. I love Pukifee boys :3 you can never have enough! I'd love to play with him all day.

Thank you everyone for the feedback regarding the tan dolls by the way. I'm not so bothered by seam lines to be honest but the sanding marks annoy me to no end. It's hard to pick a skin color, not to mention the actual sculpt...pfff...favourites so far are Ante, Vanilla, Mio and Luna. I'm afraid there will be more...

Also decided I'm probably going to be ordering the new addition with the default face-up. Doing my own face-up is out of the question, my doctor forbade me to do so. My medical condition doesn't allow me to work with pastels or any aerosols, not even with the proper safety gear. I'm actually pretty sad about this so any cheery spam would be so much appreciated. Is there a way to see what the default face-up looks like on every sculpt?

33. Thanks Auntbear :)The headphones are from Kuloft on Etsy and are the Lati/Puki ones. they are so cute and good quality too!

Thanks Milanielle. Tolly is the favourite of all my bjd's. There is something very special abut this little guy that i cant put my finger on! The wig was purchased from eden.doll on e-bay and was a Lati yellow 1/8 Maroon short cut wig in size 5-6. This was the first wig i ever put on his head. I had to trim it but the slight plum tone to the brown really suits his skin tone so he has kept it ever since. He has his default eyes too which i love.

Aww thanks Xanadu, what a lovely compliment on my little Tolly. He sits by my bedside table and keeps me company and creates all kinds of mischief. He is a dream to pose and is 100% boy through and through! I bought him on the secondary market (as a girl - he has now forgotton that....) but as soon as i saw him he was instantly the 'Tolly' that i had been waiting for :)

34. Siara: Here's Reina, my little happiness fairy:)
[IMG]Little lady in red by sunrei_lachance, on Flickr

Tolly's story reminds me of Reina! I liked her default eyes immediately, and she has kept the first wig I ever tried on her, even though I ordered another one at the time. Firsts are always special:)

35. unless you get one on the secondary market or wait till the next tan event.. which could be soon, or may be another year you never know with fairyland. you may want to start with a ns doll anyway then and get a tan doll later when they are available. pkfs are like potato chips, you can't have just one ;)

thanks i'll check them out.

and maybe that's why tolly wasn't happy at his original home, he was really a boy all along.

gorgeous colors in that shot

36. I have to say, I'm really enjoying my little Ante. I'm very glad I got her/him. I still haven't decided on the sex. It does make a very cute little boy. In real life I have a couple sons, so my dolls tend to end up female. I crave the little dresses.....;)
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.

37. What an lovely picture! It just radiates joy! :)
Ella is the same, her eyes and faceup are default and her wig is the first and only one I've bought.

38. That is so satisfying when that happens, as it doesn't always work out that way, but it was like that with both my Bonnies. :)

39. Hello everyone! I've been reading this thread for a few months now, and I finally have my own Pukifee! Here she is with a very yummy chocolate bunny.
[IMG]Pukifee Ante by Kibi dragon, on Flickr

If any of you would be kind enough to answer, where is your favourite place to get Pukifee sized wigs from? I like fiber wigs, and have been tossing between the official Fairyland site, Leekeworld, ForMyDoll and evali905 on etsy. I think I am spending too much time looking for the "perfect" wig when really I should just buy one to try!

40. Thank you so much :3 Reina certainly put a smile on my face. Pongs are so full of joy~

What if I don't like potato chips .__. don't tell me I'm doomed to dislike Pukifee as well now... D:

That is such a cute picture, little Milla looks so happy.

I would have said that is the cutest chocolate bunny I've ever seen but then I got distracted by your beautiful Ante girl @__@ my personal favourites for wigs are ForMyDoll, Luts and Leeke. Your best bet is order a bunch and try, try, try...

41. Can someone help me with the eye size for PKF Vanilla? Fairyland states 10mm, is that true? I would like to buy her ED Enchanted eyes in the near future and I still don't have her with me. Thanks in advance!

42. The standard size for Pukifee is indeed 10mm I believe but some people use 8mm (be careful for gapping) or 12mm (might look too big for your personal preference).

43. Congratulations! She's adorable!

Monique Gold has lovely wigs, but I'd stay away from the curly/textured ones for a doll you're going to handle a lot. My PKF Shiwoo's first wig turned into a clump in less than two weeks. Their straight wigs work well, though.

These two both have Monique Golds on - the black one needed to be trimmed for length - I think it's "Adorabel" - and I want to say the white one is "Paris," but I'm not sure. It might be "Faye." I can't find the email where I ordered them right now.

ETA - they both needed to be trimmed for length, now that I"m thinking about it. And I'm about 99% sure the white one is "Paris." The "Faye" wig is similar but shorter and didn't need trimming.

[IMG]ADAD - Lines by ladymadrigal80, on Flickr

44. i second the monique gold. i couple of good places to get them are jpops (either the 5/6 or the 5.25 size fits) or facets by marcia.
maybe for you they will be like chocolate chips or jelly beans then, whatever you do like ;)

45. [IMG]

46. Has anyone tried to hybrid a Pukifee head onto a Nappy Choo body to make a baby?

47. I think I've seen someone on Flickr who used a Pukipuki head, Pukifees might be too big proportion-wise

48. What an adorable pic! I love the way you've posed them!

49. Leeza~Kat You can look at myFlickr I upload photos to compare
almost at the end of the first page

50. rendez-vous
Your Pong and Luna are so cute! T.T
The Pong on a nappy body is soooo freaking CUTE!
Do you make your doll's outfits?
I had no idea that nappy choos were actually that big! I thought their heads were around pukipuki sized!

Leeza~Kat
From rendez-vous 's pictures it seems as if the nappy choo neck is a lot thicker than the pukifee's

I had this same problem putting my Juri faceplate on a Migidoll body, the groove on the faceplate was too small to fit around the large neck
You're either going to have to:
File or sandpaper the nappy choo neck down (most direct approach)
or
Modify the pukifee headback to fit on to the nappy choo neck (using a dremel to widen the gaps on the faceplate and headback)
Perhaps sueding is also an option?
or
Make a neck adapter, as a go between so you don't have to do any permanent modifications (it can make the neck look really long though)
I chose the last option, but I also made my own headback because I couldnt find a pukifee body or headback on sale. I think in your case, you'd still have to modify the headback.
https://flic.kr/p/qZMTdm

The little dents on the neck adaptor are to allow the headback to fit in.
https://flic.kr/p/qZhbDH

51. Bagirka,

What a beautiful group of girls. Can you tell me which ones they are from left to right?
