Dollshe Discussion - Part Eleven

I have to wonder if cutting back on staffing is hurting his business and delaying orders from being made and shipping out on time. I do love my Dollshe dolls, but this is so unfair to those that have to wait for so long.

I got these 14mm Beetle eyes low dome small iris eyes for Hunter. They came in today.

Arsene shipping this week - and I believe in Santa Claus and in the Easter Bunny. But I would love if Dollshe proves me wrong!

 

I've seen a few on the old discontinued 18M orders from July 2016 arriving recently, so maybe, just maybe, things are starting to pick up! I hope the Arsene shipping really is underway at long last!

 

I have just checked Dollshe and was told that Classic Arsene was expected to ship in January and Fashion Arsene was scheduled for February. No guarantees as we have been hearing reschedule dates for months already. My boy was ordered on 2nd March last year and I know many have been waiting even longer.

I was also told that my Classic King Corey would ship in February and my Fashion Michael Bowie in March..

 

Nevermind that the Bernard/Saint/Bermanns are supposed to ship in February too...oops.

Honestly, I've removed the confirmation email from my inbox. I'll let myself get a little hyped when we finally see pictures of Saint, but until then it's much healthier to just pretend I never ordered a doll at all.

 

*Gasp Gasp* I got my shipping notice for Arsene *faints*

OMG Congrats!!! That gives me hope, since I ordered Arsene in December, that I won't have to wait 8 months for him. I would actually die if he ended up shipping in that 3 month time frame listed on the site, lol!

 

I'm still brain-dead at the moment. Let's celebrate, have some cake with me.

I was bored, and received my Aramis head's new wig yesterday, so...

That Mirodoll body isn't going to be the one I use with him, as I'm waiting on an Akagi 66cm. But until then, I wanted to see what the wig would look like while Aramis was on a body. It needs some styling, but it looks like it will work out well . I'll probably get around to that once the new body arrives!

I asked Dollshe when he will show Saint's face, and he said he'll post pictures next week. I also asked when he'll start shipping Classic Khan, and he said it will begin on March.

 

wow, a miracle happens. Arsene is shipping. congrats, @SteamWitch ! That's the big guy, right? seems like more than a year. ancient freakin' history.

@jade-eyed-cat - the more I see Aramis, the more I like him. fun hair!

 

I am so glad that Arsene has started to ship - will have to check my account.
Has anyone else seen or heard about the Dollshe baby? Is this old news?

 

Is that from Instagram? I feel like I remember seeing this around on there a while back, I was under the impression that it was the artist's (as in the account holder) own sculpt, or otherwise a non-dollshe sculpt. Unfortunately I didn't look into it further, given I had no personal interest, I'm sorry I can't help!

@petiteballerine He is the big one, the first one, and ancient history is right. I've waited a dog's age for this guy. Finally saw one with a faceup and he looked amazing. Finger's crossed.

The half-eye version is interesting.
Looks crabby and it always occured to me they are a bit mean and peevish.

My Arsene has left the cabbage patch. He has embarked on the perilous journey to the (currently) tundra north central USA.... 2.5 weeks of the feared and revered year. Will wonders never cease?

 

thanks @SteamWitch ! yeah I've got a head stuck in limbo too. grrrrrrr. Read somewhere that mail delivery is delayed everywhere between midwest, east and southeast because of the inauguration...

My Aramis ordered in August shipped today! I hope that means the other 18M guys aren't that far behind. Also, congratulations on the shipping notices for Arsene! I can't wait to see owner pictures of that guy

Oh dear heaven, NOT for me. I AM a veteran, married to a retiree, and this is not what we served for. Not even going there....

 

Finally! Grown Saint is shown! Yay! He looks like Saint should...which is what I worried about, so I'm happy. 2 week till Bernard would be good, but not expecting. Congrats to everyone on their shipping! I expect to see lots of Arsene box openings soon!

 

inaugeration day is a holiday in & around DC to try to keep traffic to a minimum. only some gov. jobs affected.
+ monday was a bank & gov. holiday.
I sure hope enough PO workers are around to get those dollshe boys home!

 

O_O what on earth!!? no i have never seen this doll! kinda cool though...not the cutest baby but very cool little guy.

wow! it finally happened eh! they're being slowly shipped out! how long have y'all been waiting? just over a year!! i gotta admit...if it weren't for this crazy practice of shipping whenever they feel is suitable, i would have ordered an Amanda direct from the company.....i'm scared s***less though so i'm not attempting.

on the other hand...i did get my copper oriental full package grant back in november and only got around to doing his OE faceup a couple weeks ago. he's actually the younger version of my other grant :P they will likely never like each other much.

new Saint is rather uneventful...still very much like the old one...though from this angle it's hard to tell. what's changed other than the new eye shape?

Ah, don't mind me I've waited a year+ what's another few days. I'm sure my big box is making it's way along with the thousands of other express boxes.

 

I just can't understand why everyone is waiting??? My 1st David came in 4 months after the whole body change debaucle & they tried to change the shipping time on me again, I wrote them & told them ship my doll or I call my bank to cancel him. David shipped next day to me. If you let him take forever he will!! His dolls are GORGEOUS but come on... I'm not waiting a year to get one unless it was a 1 of a kind sculpted to my specification....

Now another story I love my David K so much I ordered another to play his twin knowing I might have the shippping problems I had with the 1st David.... I took the chance & thought what's the worse that can happen, I could always cancel with my bank.

Well I ordered my 2nd David & he was shipped 3 months to the day as promised when I ordered him during his discount event last fall. As a surprise, I guess I didn't read all the details maybe, I just thought I was getting David at 30% off, but I got his sleeping head, sandal foot & 3 additional sets of hands for no charge....
not sure if this was a coincidence or not but I'm glad they lived up to there promise of shipping that time.

 

@Mrkendoll1, I think you misunderstand the situation. Those of us who have been waiting for a year have been waiting on a doll that isn't complete yet. Whilst the grey master was finished, Mr K decided that he needed some more hands, so spent time making those. You ordered a doll that has been complete for some time. All that needed was for the doll to be cast. There is no point standing over his shoulder and shouting at him whilst he is still sculpting. It won't get you anywhere. Not here trying to justify the FINISH!...Bored now...wait...wait...wait...Oh, hang on. Don't like that any more...fiddle...wait...wait process of Mr K's, but you can't get him to cast you a doll he hasn't yet finished. Anyway, glad you got your orders quickly enough. He can be good with getting the established sculpts out, just not when he is distracted by something else, as he seems to have been recently.

 

Ahhh got it!! I always thought people were waiting on dolls already made. Now it makes more sense in the waiting game if he is still creating sculpts!

 

Hmm...well the new Saint looks quite like the old Saint...but I think I'll need more photos to decide if I'd like him as an older version of my current Saint, or my pilot. We shall see.

 

Looks like Dollshe's going to be making Grown Hound and Grown Aramis next.

Gotta say, I don't see too much difference in Grown Saint either, but maybe we just need a side-to-side comparison.

 

Saint looks like the old one, I had both from his inventory/photo samples they do look a bit different, especially in the jaw and eyes.

 

On the minus side, I'll have to order the full doll to have my Aramis on the mystic body (I am NOT using the dremel). On the plus side, he is going to show Aramis' head in February (he didn't say which year), so it will be way after the pre-order. I am totally safe.
EDIT: I love the shipping date: March. . He didn't say which year either.

 

Oh no, I thought I was safely out of the Dollshe vortex for awhile but another Aramis and on Mystic body: might just have to do it. (So much for discontinuing the 18m sculpts. Just modify them a skosh and voila = Grown version).

A fashion size Krishna to keep at the office or take on trips? Hmmmmmm...............

 

Ohhh man... my Amanda Beauty is in the country!

Time to call the post office and figure out when I can pick it up... I'm at work during the ~15 minutes they're open daily (maybe a little hyperbole there, but not much).

 

Not sure where to add pics of this as i'm still working on getting proper shots of him but I painted up my Fresh Arsene - and i think he's gorgeous. He'd make a great girl or boy really. Sorry I can't share the image right now, the links will have to do

My Arsene hasn't made it out of customs in Chicago yet. Hopefully he will be on his way to Texas tonight.

 

USPS hasn't updated their tracking since Saturday night. Arsene went into customs at 22:37 -- the Korean website has updated TO Chicago. The USPS site hasn't updated since their maintenance -- yup, Saturday night through Sunday morning.

 

Ordered a 65cm Amanda Beauty in Fresh skin on December 13th. Been looking at her since she was first released.
What seems to be the turnaround time on dolls that he already has the molds for?

Keep looking at the new smaller ones too---they are so darned tempting!

I ordered a fashion size Amanda in early October and she arrived early January in the USA-- about 3 months for my doll

 

Yeah, mine says it's been "processing" in Chicago twice since Friday. I see inbound to customs but no outbound from customs though it also says it is in transit to destination.

 

My doll was in Chicago for 4 days, maybe 5 before being released from customs. With the government holidays (MLK and inauguration) there is probably some backlog

 

That is probably what is going on. Still

 

Mr. Grump shipped last week And he has his eyes and outfit and I can't wait to try everything on him! I sure hope SDF65 will fit him. D:

 

Has anyone ordered a new Bermann? I've wanted one for forever and thought it would never happen, but even at the very reasonable sale price I can't afford a new doll right now. I might be able to manage a head. Maybe then it won't take forever? (it says that they're not selling separate heads in the listing for the full doll, but then there's a listing for a head under parts?) I love the new Mystic body but, I figure that can wait.
