That blue is amazing! It really pops in color!

 

Krishna is beautiful, that blue is perfect. I love the loincloth too, it is appropriate.
I have to giggle at Ben Kingsley, that is wonderful, red bowtie and all.

 

Aaahhhhhhh, he is going to be epic!!!!!

I think you might really like his face up and wig then. ^^ Altair's my favourite (as neither of us can swim).

Therealwalter - Wow! What a vibrant blue! Krishna looks beautiful. Aramis was definitely a good sculpt to choose, he has such a kind face.

 

My package got sent back to South Korea...it seems that EMS doesn't ship to my country from there (never had this issue with EMS via China). Hopefully they won't charge me a lot for 're-shipping, since I already paid $120.00 for this initial shipping

Hahah, oh god, the memories of one of the later missions where the target was on a boat... and falling into the water to instantly die. Thank god they added swimming!

Btw, is there a way to determine what year a Hound from Luts was made or are they all the same from the time they were sold through there?
It could be that the one coming home to me in January has a custom Luts faceup though (if the faceups are the main guideline).

 

Does the owner have the COA? I know when I got my Hound from Luts with custom faceup in 2006 my COA just had the date on it, no faceup artist name.

 

Hm, the CoA was never mentioned, but if it's included it would be a happy surprise I guess. It's always fun knowing the age of your dolls (even though I have three of unknown ages)

 

I don't think my boy will be doing anything like that. I have tried to get the pure body to crouch but it doesn't want to do that apparently. Never mind, it has very good balance and is certainly graceful enough to sneak around.

 

Yesterday I got my Dollshe surprise. No notice of shipping but my Saint in Copper Oriental arrived along with an extra Bernard head and some extra parts for my Ausley. I Love Saint in Copper Oriental.

 

Just went down thru the thread and wow - the blue is REALLY blue. Lovely color. I am so not adventerous....

 

He is a beautiful color and the eyes and hair compliment it too.

I made my new IM Hound's demon faceup but not totally happy. Still it's close to what I want to do.

 

Jo, the copper oriental looks very nice on Saint - he doesn't look as severe as usual!

I got my shipping notice for my Aramis head today! I'm so excited, I really hope this one doesn't get lost in the post as well... Still haven't got my money back from the one that got lost, but the seller has been super helpful so soon hopefully! Aramis will be going on my Df -h 65cm body to make my oldest OC, Sarum

 

Noltaire - I'm so sorry to hear about your package being sent back That's awful! You would think that EMS would have been nice enough to tell both you and Dollshe that before the package being sent out and then sent back. I hope it will work out for you.

 

Perhaps it's the lighting, but my Saint was a copper oriental and he turned out quite a bit darker than that.

My two Freshskin boys and my Oriental Venitu are still in their boxes (I unpacked Venitu to make sure that all his parts had survived the trip, still need to unpack the boys) because this week has been so crazy.

Thanks for the good wishes for my boyfriend's surgery -- it went well, although he's still in a fairly painful stage of recovery, poor love. I've been doing a ton of taking care of him, and he's been very sweet about it.

Still figuring out who I want to commission as a face-up artist for these boys . . . some of my favorites are no longer taking commissions, and I'm not sure if the art style of some of the others I work with (who are amazing) matches with the style I'm envisioning. We'll see -- I hate having blank dolls sitting in boxes, but I at least have some time to decide, and I'm going to wait until after Christmas postal rush to mail anything, anyway.

Congratulations to all the new arrivals, and I hope that those of you who are waiting get your dolls/parts soon!!

Hello, everybody! I want add some beauty who's name is Margorita (Dollshe Ausley). Briefly I call her Margo. She's mystical and strange. Sometimes I think that she is a witch.

 

She looks so lovely with that outfit! Did you do her faceup? It looks very lovely on her.

I had no idea Dollshe did her makeup, must have been when they were since they painted my Hound head as well. I wonder who the faceup artist was, he/she was very talented.

Llywellyn's eyes are a really nice colour SteamWitch. Where did you get them from?

 

Ginarolo here on the MP, I got 14mm and used a eye beveler to make the eye well less deep now they show up much better and no gaps.

I may have to take an eye beveler to my Saint's eyes when he gets back from having his face up(s) done. His eyes are a very dark brown and all the photos I've taken of him so far look almost as if he's not wearing eyes at all... >.<

 

I just got a box full of Iplehouse clothes for my Dollshe boys and girls. Here is one of the outfits on the ausley body medium breast (SID size outfit) with my 3D printed cat. Oh again...bernard head.

I'm so excited that I finally got Hound!
Dollshe was kind enough to cover the additional shipping cost due to the package being returned to them and I got him earlier than expected

I was wondering, what bodies are compatible with Dollshe heads? I want to do a hybrid with the fresh oriental IM and SA heads I got, but I'm not sure with which bodies they will be compatible with and have a decent color match.

 

I apologize...I removed the first photo and replaced with a holiday photo - here it is...Love my 3D cats but missing my real ones.

 

Tomorrow, my floating Aramis head should be arriving, and he's going on a doll family h body, so I will soon be able to tell you if they're a match! Measurements match up, and apparently the skin tones should match, so here's hoping!

 

This is so silly, but I've lurked this thread for the two years and several months I've had my Dollshe boys in hopes of getting motivated enough to paint them. Unfortunately, that didn't work, I was too scared of mucking them up. Finally, about a week ago, I decided to buckle down and do it because enough is enough. So, finally, after so so long, they have faces. Unfortunately, no eyes yet, but I'm working on that. I thought it would be super easy to find them eyes. Turns out I was super wrong!

Can't find the right color or shape?
I had to use an eye beveler to get my Saint's eyes to fit right.

Also, I wasn't sure what size to get. I googled it but it seemed to be a preference thing and ranged between 12mm-14mm. So I got a pair in both to try out. Eventually, though, I would like to get them Mako eyes. But, I decided to hold off on that purchase until I knew what I preferred for them.

malvagitabella, I too think you did a wonderful job on their face-ups. I have tried to do face-ups 5 or 6 times now and they all get wiped and then sent off to someone who knows what they are doing. You obviously do know what you are doing.

I have purchased so many eyes and have found that some 12s are as small as some of my 10s. Some pupils are larger than others, etc. I do like the soft eyes as they seem to fit better into the eye sockets, but I have had a couple of those that have clouded up on me. I have paid $50.00 for a pair of eyes and found them to be no different than a $20.00 pair. I do like the little knob on the back that helps adjust the eye and makes it a little easier to work with. So suggestions on eyes that are consistent in size and quality would be appreciated.

 

Eyes are a hit and miss with different types out there. I was using Soom eyes for my Hound when Soom first came out and they did me justice until I got some urethanes and I was hooked. They are more expensive, but they look so good in my dolls that do wear them from Mystic Eyes or Etheral Angel eyes when they have a pre-order open. So far I love the new Owl eyes by Mako, they are so vibrant and life like. Getting them to fit and not have a gap on the sides is what can be a turn off as well.

 

I will check out some of these eyes.

I just got my EID coats from IH and the red is a great fit except the coat arms are a little long on the Ausley body. The fur coat in EID is a perfect fit.

 

I know this is coming out of no where - but has anyone tried making Martian Manhunter out of one if the 28 year old bodies? I just thought of how neat David would look in green. :P

 

Are the dolls coming with extra heads? I didn't order the SA or IM heads with my OE head hound and there they were.

 

If you ordered during the discount event, then yes. All orders came with an extra head, if indicated in the product's sales page. In this case, yes, Hound comes with tthe OE, SA, and IM heads.

 

I have to order another Hound since the first i order couple years ago ended up too dark. Was hoping the copper oriental I order this time would be a bit darker than that.(but obviously lighter than pale tan)

 

Well, Seimei v2 is on the move... along with Fox's head.

I really hope the normal pink DC bod I ordered for Fox matches him closely enough not to bother me. I ended up going for the non-winged A-04 rather than the A-03 that my Dolores has, so it's something of an experiment all around. 'No telling how long it's likely to take to get, either. o_0 My poor lunar fuzz-ball may be a floating head camped out in the middle of his own coiled-up tail for quite awhile if their wait times now are anything like they were last year.

I finally got around to make my Saint Bartholomew (lol, because there was a real Saint Bartholomew, I hadn't thought of that until now) a wig, out of some cheap material. Just for practice and to see if I could do it. Now I'm waiting for Safrindoll to get the twins eyes in stock, and I have to make another wig for the second twin. THEN, there'll be face ups Excuse the huge image though >____>

indigoparaflax, Your St. Bartholomew is quite handsome. It looks like copper oriental resin - right? That is my favorite color resin although the honey peach looks so realistic but the extra cost makes anymore peach dolls out of my budget.

Dollshe confuses me sometimes. I ordered my Bernard during the sales event and I ordered (Paid for) and extra saint head too and I did not get any extra heads. I did not get the cell phone hand either during that event.

I was looking at the site and I saw they are making MSD size. And not like kids, these are fully mature and the males are even muscly....interesting...
Also, Indigo- what skintone is Saint Barthomew? He's lovely. I really would like to get a Saint eventually, but I've not been attracted to the copper oriental according to stock pics and some others I've seen. I really like fresh skin...but there is one dealer with a saint in stock of Copper oriental and I'm tempted. Anyone have resin comparisons yet?

SO excited; my Hound is on his way to me as of yesterday!
I've spent soo much time trying to figure out what wig color and style to give him, only to reach the conclusion that I need to see him before deciding

 

I was hoping my Dollshe order of my Fresh Skin Pure body would be shipping next year( well yea it still would be 2015 since this is the last day for 2014) but I just got a email from them saying my order has shipped! So maybe the weekend or Monday the latest my new Pure body will be here. Now I have to make room in my doll closet for this box and Terry (my Hound) will get his new body.
