Has anyone tried these boots on their girl? Gibson Calf Boot (For American Model) I'm wanting something like this for my future Bianca.
I just got my Model Body boy, and the two Peter Pevensie boots I got him fit well. The biker style cowboy boots Shoes for Tonner 19" Peter Pevensie / Athletic doll (G-2017-P20) | eBay go on and off quite easily. The combat boot style ones Shoes for Tonner 19" Peter Pevensie / Athletic doll (2017G-04) | eBay fit well, though they are definitely more snug. They still go on and off nice and easily though. Also the Raccoon Man slacks I have fit on him albeit a little loosely. He's a skinny boy.
@skyealloway I'm so sorry - the alerts for this thread have only just popped up again and it was ages ago that you asked me where I get the clothes that my FID girls and guys are wearing. Most of what you see in my albums I made. @Sparklin_me I have yet to try the smaller body in many new things but she is wearing jeans I sized for the Raccoon doll body here...(the slim RD body) so they should be able to share most things well. I found that the jeans I had for my larger body FID girls were too big on the slim body...her legs are a lot more slender and around the waistband too. Iplehouse FID by Lyanne NZ, on Flickr
This thread is so very helpful. Thank you! I tried a Serenade Doll dress on my FID slim body with medium bust Yur. Sleeves and skirt length are too long. But waist is in the right place, shoulders fit, bust just makes it so probably wouldn't fit bigger bust. That's all I've found so far. Hope this helps.
Oops, meant to say that 8mm Brilliant Glass eyes fit very nicely. I got these from Denver Doll. Iplehouse Yur FID
This thread hasn't been very active since FID was released. Anyone know any currently operating custom/OOAK dress makers who have a FID girl model to work from? These are very interesting dolls, I had been looking at JID but if there is clothing for these I might think differently.
For denim, I love JeansbyJenna on Etsy. SartoriaJ is my favorite place for clothes. I also like Raccoon dolls' girl clothes. What kind of clothes are you looking for?
Gowns. I notice there is a big difference between leg length in original vs. new FIDs (9.3 cm), I would be interested in the original body.
Check out periodthreads.com. She's an amazing sewer and does all sorts of styles. Currently, she's working on an outfit for my FID Yur with the new body. Though she might have the original body as well and I know she has the Raccoon Doll body and they fit into FID clothes. On her website she gives a list of all the different size bodies she sews for.
Thanks, looks very interesting. Medieval gowns are great. She has does have both FID bodies. Raccoon Doll looks good, somewhat limited customization options though.
I should have known that couldn't be correct, they must be about the same. IH has the incorrect number on their website.
I just put a FID Stella on layaway and was wondering if there any sewing patterns available for these dolls?
My FID Isobel arrived yesterday, so immediately began rummaging through all my fashion sized clothing to see if anything fits and (surprise!) found a few things. All a bit random, this isn't meant to be an outfit obviously First is the big grey marl Hoodie from Fashion Doll Agency, the bag is also from FDA and there is also a nice belt (not shown). I also found that the pink stretch T Shirt from a set by an unknown seller on Ebay also fits her like a glove. Sadly the jeans and shoes by the same seller don't. This evening I've tried an Ellowyne Wilde stretch jacket on her and that fit too. Really hit and miss, haven't found any foot wear yet Love this doll though, even without her face! I think they most likely will. Probably not to the T but still well enough for the stretchy types of outfits. You always compare the doll specifications for both the new FID body and the Raccoon doll body. I hope this helps. Your best best is checking ETSY and searching with msd bjd outfits. There are a few sellers who will specifically say what dolls each outfit will fit under that subgroup. Oh thank you. They are my favorite too!!! Thanks for this.
New Shoes! FID Female flat feet Both pairs are from he-meife on eBay. Light blue flats were labeled as shoes for minifee Green sandals were labeled as shoes for Tonner 17" Matt doll 2019-03-15_13.20.59 by stuartsmycat, on Flickr
Hi, where do I buy interesting wigs for FID girls (apart form Monique wigs)? Are there any makers-sellers available on Etsy or elsewhere on the net?
I’ve bought an FID wig from this Etsy shop and think it is very beautiful and soft fibers Angora Wig, Bjd wig, iplehouse fid wig, 5-6" wig, Size 5-6", BJD, MSD
I currently have three FID patterns up on my website. They are 'Just Patterns' without instructions, intended for more experienced sewers, and include a strapless bodice for the Athletic body, and for the Slim body, as well as a dressing gown. Just Patterns - Tutorials
Ooh, that's wonderfully generous of you to share them!!! When I eventually get a FID girl (only have a boy so far), I look forward to trying them!
I don’t know if this has been answered somewhere else, but does anyone know if the Iplehouse heads fit on Dollshe’s fashion bodies? Mainly the 18m and 24m body. A photo ref would be great.
I looked through this whole thread and didn't see much for the FID Guys - has anyone else found other things that fit for them? Or have recommendations for sellers to check out? I'm looking for some 1880-90s cowboy sorta clothing! c:
Saphar_bjd on Instagram makes custom things for the guys and it’s quality, beautiful work! Check her out. She’s in France.
Are you looking only for clothes or overall stuff that fit them? A Korean company called Sartoria J on etsy is a great source for clothes as well shoes and accessories.
I found that clothing for the 18" Tonner doll Kitty Collier fits semi-OK. My Lulu is a slim body/small bust girl and I can get all but one of the snaps to shut at the back. It looks really nice from the front, and I think if I took the time to do a little altering I could make the snaps all shut. IMG_1529 by Ashton, on Flickr I'm not sure if it helps anyone considering the Kitty Collier fashions aren't exactly cheap or super easy to come by (unless you already collect that line I guess) but I was excited considering they all have a vintage-y feel and suit my girl's taste quite well. I also have one of the coats and it fits great since it has a looser design.
Not sure if it is still news to anyone here, but I have asked Jay from SartorialJ about FID man clothes fit as I am waiting for FID Arvid with model body type and here is his answer: All FID clothes are made to fit on muscular body so it will be big on model body especially around the waist. Unfortunately we don't have a model body so it will be hard to offer model size in the future too.
Unfortunately all those pattern pdfs are disconnected right now, since I'm reworking that website section. I will announce it when everything is back up. Edited - everything is working again. I decided to have any future, new 'Just Patterns' (with no instructions, for more experienced seamstresses) open to the Gallery pages for that particular costume, in order to give a better idea of what it can look like, and will include any under construction photos I may have taken during the process. I've added five new 'Just Patterns', three of which are for my FID Fantasy costumes. They include the following; - FID Renaissance Gowns - FID Renaissance Ladies - Gallery 2020 - Mirror Queen & Emerald Queen - for FID & Raccoon - Mirror Queen Creative Journey - Tutorials - FID Fantasy Knights - Knights - Gallery 2019
Got some Peter Pevensie/Athletic Tonner shoes on ebay, they fit the FID boys perfectly!!! No zips, they just pull on and off, which is a bit nervewracking as I keep thinking I'll take the foot with it - probably need some socks to prevent that. Here's a link to the two of them - it's he-meife on ebay, he has other shoes in the Peter Pevensie size too: Tonner 19" Peter Pevensie / Athletic doll Shoes (2020-3) | eBay Tonner 19" Peter Pevensie / Athletic doll Shoes (2020-6) | eBay
I was just wondering if minifee clothing made from stretchy material would fit as i read that minifee clothes would be too small? And also if ANY clothes from Nine9style would fit the FID girls? And maybe any of the msd sized clothes would fit the FID boys too
Thank you so much for your reply. Where else would you recommend clothing for the boys? Other than etsy..
@jp_bestie - Unfortunately there are not that many standard made clothes that fit the guys. Aside from etsy shops you only have iplehouse's own fid clothes, some souldoll vito clothes fit the model body, and any clothes shop that can make things custom from measurements.
I have asked ih if they have any new clothing coming soon they said they do but I guess its a waiting game. Thank you for your reply
I think the scale would be off. My fid bianca seems bigger than my dollshe fashion dolls. I can take some pictures in a few days.
I have ^^ However they only have clothes for FID muscular body. I have 6 FID's on order and only 1 boy is on the Muscular body and i dont want to sound horrible, but only a few of their FID girl clothes i like.
No I agree, I don't like much of thier girl clothes either. I wish Raccoondoll or Iplehouse would sell more clothes options too.

Thank you. I did make a pdf of the modified pattern and would gladly share it, if I could just figure out how. Not sure if this is following or breaking rules, but here is the pattern. I forgot to add a scale to it, but from point to point on the sleeve (dotted line) it is exactly 4.5". I drafted the pattern for a JID, but it works well for FID. This pattern has a sweetheart neckline, but for my FID I modified it to a scoop and lengthened the bodice just a tad. It is based on a 1958 Sweet Sue McCalls pattern. Sweet Sue 1957 Dress by Victoria Davis, on Flickr
What a perfect picture to start a new thread with ! @MB Lilac And thanks for the pattern share too! @Violet Kidd
Hope someone can use the pattern. I agree. That photograph is just breathtaking. I keep staring at it and wondering little things like "How many studs are there in those outfits?" and "How in the world did she get the fabric to drape like that?" Then I notice other details, like the little feathers and tiny buckles. I feel so inadequate. (But then I tell myself that it's not a contest.)
Fell off the thread, or else I just wasn't here yesterday :P But anyways, New thread requires new photos Oooh, could you post a link to the picture that goes with the pattern, @Violet Kidd , I'd love to see it LOL, you both have flowers in your names, so maybe you're on your way Oh I think I found the picture, the pretty 1950's dress you made, yes? Very beautiful And yes, that is another insanely perfect amazing picture @MB Lilac !!!
Thank you @skyealloway @Violet Kidd @IngieBee That field of blue flowers is just the best place to take doll photos every spring. We went out there several times, with several different dolls. Here's Grace again...
