@ResinRapture, i made this wig ages ago for some of my little dolls. When i tried it on Fid male's head it was perfect. So, now Leo have it

Thank you, @vermont chick. I t was definitely a lucky find for Leo. Prefect in any way. Did you get your Isabelle? Mine was suppose to come today ( which is super fast ), but i guess it was too good to be true. So hopefully, i will see her on Monday. I am so excited about her, maybe because i really love her sculpt and because she is a full set. It is my very first full set from them.

FID boys are so beautiful. I'm thinking about getting a mini Oscar even though I just ordered a big Oscar a week ago xD

I have a question about grey skin. Do you think pink face up goes well with Iplehouse grey skin? I was imagining a grey vampire oscar wearing bright pink lipstick and fancy pink clothes I want to try that but I don't know if it would look nice.

 

I have a grey Claude and I think I might have some pink fabric in my stash (maybe?). I wouldn't be able to take any pics for several days though as I'm away from home right now. Can't comment on the pink lip colour though.

My Isabelle is out for delivery! I wasn't expecting her to arrive before Monday or Tuesday. It's raining--miserable weather for taking photos--but I'll try anyway.

@vermont chick Great news! I love when they arrive 2 days earlier than predicted which happens often here. You got the yellow dress right? I forget which face up. Can't wait to see her.

 

My isabel arrived yesterday! This is my first doll in sr skin and it is lovely) can’t take a good photo because of the weather but believe me, she is a beauty I m going to get her blue (instead of brown) eyes and ombré blonde wig​

@vermont chick Me too! I'm sitting on the couch waiting patiently. If patiently means jumping up at every single outside noise to check if it's her. I missed a doll meet for this. I hope she gets here soon!

Edit: She's here! Iggy is my dream doll. I am so in love with her. I saw her and immediately my brain said, "Well, you can sell half your collection now. She's the one." I am so utterly happy. And for anyone else like me who sees an ashy gray tone to the special real skin, you will not be disappointed with the glow special real skin. It's a beautiful caramel color. She definitely has that alive look.

She is absolutely stunning! Congratulations @stuartsmycat . You are right, this skin tone is so warm and looks natural.

 

I always end up getting my dolls at the PO. Last time, my street was blocked off for telephone workers and they wouldn't get out of the truck and deliver it. So I was at the PO knocking on the door at 7:30 the next day.

@stuartsmycat OhOhOh. So gorgeous! I absolutely can't wait to get the head to my headless Isabel now! What a fabulous sculpt. (Pinching myself that I actually own one!)

 

Congrats @Kharata ! I can't wait to see photos. The weather is miserable here, too, but I went ahead and took photos anyway.

Congrats @stuartsmycat ! Oh, my, she is gorgeous in the glow realskin and I love the wig you chose for her. I've missed doll meets for doll deliveries, too.

And here is my Isabel in the yellow dress. (I posted a different shot in the waiting room. It shows more of the dress.) She is normal skin and has the same face-up that @stuartsmycat got. I'm not sure about her size, though. I ordered the slim body but the dress is so tight I wonder if they sent me the original body... Doesn't matter. I love her!

@Mahgiep - What's the status of your Isabel's head? Any word from the artist yet?

 

@vermont chick Thanks for asking. Although I have been having lots of fun playing with her headless body, I am dying to see what she looks like as a Korean girl. Zako Zako said she received the head and that it will take two to three weeks to finish her face up. She said she will send me photos before she finishes so I can give input before she's done. Tuesday will be two weeks so I hope to see something this week.

 

@vermont chick, she looks amazing, especially against that beautiful blue background.

@stuartsmycat, my Isabele is in peach gold. I really like this soft , warm skin tone. I chose face up A because i can always add freckles if i want.

 

Thanks @suok2011. I've had enough dolls disappear into their background in photos that I now try to pick a background color from the opposite side of the color wheel. Can't always be done without buying more background fabric, unfortunately.

I look forward to photos of your Isabel. Monday will be here before you know it.

 

Congrats on the new doll arrivals. Love seeing Isabel! She is top of my wish list, as soon as I have funds.

BTW, for those of you who own the 8 mm safrin doll eyes, are they glass or urethane resin?

 

@LaurieESW - I have some safrin basics 8mm, and for these the sclera is resin though I am not sure what the iris is made of. It is a separate piece that looks like it was glued in.

 

AAaa I am back with the internets once more! Our router blew because Thor apparently was mad at us? It's the fourth router in the past month and a half >__> Anyway, here, have a Bridgie!

I need to paint and tweak the bow some still, but it's a start.
And because I'm a spoopy person, the bow hair is human.

 

@TatterPunk The bow hair is human? Does that mean the violin sings about how it was murdered? Or if Bridgie’s dead... oh... how spooky.

@LaurieESW The eyes you have are resin. The banner ad for them used to call them Safrin Resin Basics, and I have scads. They aren’t glass.

The less spoopy story is that it's just what I had lying around when I was making the bow. Of course that might be a little weird to begin with. I have an odd collection of hair from when my friends or parents cut theirs. This time around it's my dad's, though when I finish it I may use my red haired friend's to look like it's Bridget's.

 

Got a new bed for the couple this past weekend. Still waiting for Yoona's head. Should ship soon!

Great purchase, @Mahgiep ! It looks like an American Girl bed made for 1970s Julie--except hers is purple. I get such a kick out of seeing Jae Jin with his headless girlfriend!

Yes it's a white Julie American Girl bed. I got it at an amazing price (plus gas to pick it up, foam, and fabric).
Still pinching myself. I thought of painting it black laquer but I have gotten used to it white. Thank goodness it's not purple!
Somedays I'm dying for Yoona's head; other days it seems totally normal,

 

Sometimes I wonder if we're a psychologically sound lot. Other times I realize we're not, and it's a good thing.

My Isabelle arrived yesterday and she is very lovely. LOVE the dress, so well made. I will make pictures of her on the weekend. For some reason she looks so sad to me. What about you? Do you have this feeling about her?

 

I think she can be quite sad, but I think her features really change with the angles and lighting. My brain reads this face as very shyly smiling, but genuinely happy.

Oh dear, I fell off the notifications, and been too busy to notice! Hi! Wow, the boys are gorgeous, and the new Isabellas are amazing! It's especially amazing that they look so much like the big dolls

@Mahgiep that's a seriously funny picture!

 

I like to think Isabel looks pensive rather than sad. But I also agree with @stuartsmycat that a lot depends on lighting and camera angle. Sometimes she looks pouty, although nowhere near as pouty as Bianca. Again, it depends on the angle.

@Aisineri Wonderful Raffine! I sometimes think her face is the most versatile.
Yoona is working on her kpop looks. I have trouble with the schoolgirl, anime look and the glamorous sexy look. I really like the boys so much better. But Yoona is a former kpop star, turned model. She borrowed some of Jae Jin's clothes for this photo shoot. Who needs a head???

@Mahgiep You're having so much fun without her head. I think it might be a bit weird for the rest of us when she does get her head back and you start posting pics of her *laughs*.

 

@Iron_Dog Haha! Weird for me too! Hopefully she will keep her sense of humor. Dolls can be so serious; especially our realistic beauties! Luckily Jae Jin has a goofy side, too. And he's always had a head. At the soju tent.
