Greeneyed-soul, that's a very good point! I hadn't thought of that. Limitless possibilities! Mind you, I'm still waiting for Bibiane to become available. I would actually be very happy with more than one faceup choice for each FID, like when the first few were offered. They each had a choice of at least two looks, didn't they.

Greeneyed Soul, Thanks so much for that. I had a look at Carved Heritage, including Isis and her fabulous story. Beautiful photos aren't they. I think my FID Mari has a custom faceup. I was so happy to get her from a friend. I attempted my first bit of knitting for her a couple of days ago. It is so big, it wraps around the back, haha, and I had to embellish it to cover up my dodgy stitching. Just pleased to have finished it really!

 

Now THAT's what I call knitting!!! How do you do that Olga?! Vanessa is a very lucky girl to model such marvellous outfits. She is looking fabulous

Iplehouse used to show their upcoming schedule of releases on their Diary, a button just to the left of the Login. They haven't used it in several years. Maybe the person whose job it was to keep it up to date left the company and nobody took it over. You can still display the calendar but there's nothing on it.

 

I wonder why they stopped showing the previews too, could be the very reason like vermont chick said, with the pandemic still happening who knows when or if we will see any more soon. I wish they would do more clothing like they used to do.

 

Did I dream it - or did Iple list Weds then unlist Thurs - a cute, pink two-piece outfit with necklace $49 for FID??? I logged back in yesterday to buy and it was gone!! @vermont chick - I remember the calendar it was a great idea! I asked them about a re-release of their last theme this week and they said they are working on a fantasy theme costume and will consider a historical (sqeeee my favourite) later in the year.

@greeneyed-soul - thank you! That's it! I love it. Well I hope it comes back... Surely we didn't all buy it out in a day?? I noticed they are putting their prices up again after a nice price drop - it didn't cover the woeful exchange rate for my currency - but it certainly helped!

 

Thanks for the outfit info @Lelm. A costume that doesn't require a doll purchase is always welcome. As for the vanishing pink outfit, maybe someone posted it before they were supposed to. In other words, maybe it will be back...

I pray the FID version of Bibiane is as amazing as the EID version - if so, she will be my first gal and hopefully my last incarnation of my favorite OC

 

Both FID Vera and Isis now have a second new look on the website. Both very fresh and pretty looks I think. Vera is also wearing an new pink dress, similar shades but different to the vanishing one. Wonder if more clothes will be available soon, including Isis' swishy flamenco-style black dress?

 

I finally did it!
Started a layaway for my first FID.


I'll be getting FID Arvid in Peach Gold Glow resin!

 

My first FID male is going to be Arvid too, Peach Gold, model body type Which body type did you go for? I went with model type, as it would make him better match for my girl I am going to pair him with, but I have started doubting this choice now. The reason is that apparently clothes choice for model type body is much less than for muscle type Oh, well... Here goes my hope that I will get it easy at least with one doll.

 

Hope so!! : ) I haven't liked most of the outfits that have been released this year. I have Vera and Isis in nYID and they are two of my absolute favourites.

 

I went for the muscle type for him!

He's going to be a rugged wild west outlaw, so I think the muscle body suits him

 

FYI the disappearing pink outfit is solved. Iple said it was a one off so hats off to whoever snapped it up. They did say that they will be releasing some new FID clothing sets soon. Woo hoo! With the USD slipping I can see Aussie collectors stampeding to fulfil their dolly wishes...

 

Have they ever done clothes suitable for the Muscle guy, or only the Model? I've hesitated to buy their clothing sets because I don't know if they'll fit this doll.

 

Anything the first five FID guys (on second page of FID guys) are wearing would be for the Muscle body since that's the only body that was available back then. I don't know about anything after that,

 

redsixwing unfortunately for FID model body owners it is other way around - majority of outfits are for muscle body. I asked Jay from www.sartoriaj.com if their FID man clothes were suitable for model body and sadly the answer was:

All FID clothes are made to fit on muscular body so it will be big on model body especially around the waist. Unfortunately we don't have a model body so it will be hard to offer model size in the future too.

 

I really like the outfit that Luna with the new face up option is wearing!

My gray Mari finally showed up after being stuck in Korea waiting for a flight since May 18. I really love how she turned out.

When I asked Iple if the wait was due to COVID they said yes, that unfortunately you could expect up to a 30 day wait for packages to move once they left Iple (to the USA). Luckily my wait wasn't quite that long.

@MB Lilac - Yvette looks gorgeous is blue. You always find such sumptuous fabrics and trims for your Medieval costumes. I'm looking forward to my Yur's arrival. It's been 2 months, feels like 4, but I'm trying not to obsess because it could take a long time.

@JinCIncy - Thanks for the info. One of my Iple orders is at month #3 and hasn't even shipped yet. I'm trying not to get too antsy but...

 

@vermont chick I ordered Mari Jan. 13 put her in lay a way and paid that off March 4. She didn't ship from Iple until May 18, then it took until June 4 to get to me from Korea via EMS. Things are certainly moving a lot slower all around than they used to. Prior layaways always shipped within a month of me paying them off.

 

@JinCIncy - That's definitely slower. My previous orders always shipped almost exactly calendar two months after ordering. (I've never done layaway with Iple.) I guess we won't see two-month turnaround again, if ever.

 

I have a request for those with a couple of spare minutes and registration on Iplehouse site. Could you, please, write them and ask for FID Dean?

I want this boy so greatly. If Iple get some requests they can consider this possibility.

It feel like this took forever, but I refreshed my Lahela and I'm finally feeling her.

 

just sign up yourself lol they don't ask for anything personal unless you actually 'buy' a doll lol and eamil and w/e name you choose to use on the site. Even just a nick name I use Tiku unless i am buying ^^

 

I've already written them, thank you. The idea is - the more requests they get the sooner they decide about it.
