Oh I just saw the teaser of Liam! Soom is really diligent recently! They are releasing so many event dolls, one off dolls and new dolls at the same time!

Liam does have a River + Phonolus vibe! I don't know if it's the face up or really the sculpt itself but Liam looks toooo masculine to my taste. An unwilling pass...

 

I'm sort of glad Liam is not my type of face. My wallet is still looking good so far! ID51 Sullivan really is cute though. Those cat ears!

 

Does anyone have an idealian in "cream white" resin that you can show a photo of and/or can give an insight into what kind of colour it is?

@xyuemoto Heres my picture of cream white next to Iplehouse white, and Dollshe's fresh raspberry
Out of the box, it looked similar, a creamy white with a touch of peach that I thought might be similar to Iplehouse but it isnt
Its a nice white, like the name suggests, creamy like its mascarpone lol. Its a nice white, but only looks slightly ivory because of the cool background and the pinky whites next to it

Im not sure why Isabel was cancelled, but Im assuming abnormally low sales. I was away on a trip, but was going to be back before the deadline ended and was hoping to get her. Lucky you have such a beautiful lady, and on that tall limber body too!

Im not sure if I should be happy, Soom is so dangerous to the wallet, the website should come with a health warning...

Im definitely 110% getting Liam, havent been that excited over an Idealian since Shoshon (which I had to pass, his faceup was lovely, but I needed to be an adult on finances blegh... ) but this Liam, definitely makes up for it. I hope and wish and pray to all entities that when he is released, theres a tawny skin (and bronze for Garion on his october release XD)

I wish I can take Liam's face to a plastic surgeon and say I want that without the results making me look like leather face.

@marci12 Im always in love with your boys, but that magnet trick you did is ingenious, its so good I think every Idealian owner should implement and thank you for coming up with it, the faceplate stays solid after trying it

@GreenTeaSlug It was definitely not the best time for a purchase, but I did get the full set. I may have gotten the last "outfit" as it is sold out now. Now I must, MUST be good!

She inserted magnets under the brain on the other side within the resin (I hope I explained that well, what is english XD) - to make the magnet on the faceplate attract stronger - its such a neat trick and no more gapping when swiveling his head
No glue or anything, just placing the magnet on the resin wall of the magnet!

Its seriously a must know trick, its really good

Late comer here. My god! That Sullivan is so cute! The faceup, the wig and the eyes are perfect! Wish I had seen this early. I just got a new laptop.
Is it me or did SOOM reduced the price of the ID52 range? And the outfit got sold out already? Again??!
Hope I could find funds for him. He's the first ID52 that I really like.

 

Looking at the recent ID51 releases, Sullivan is actually a bit higher in price. The limited outfits go very quickly. I ordered the first day and I think I got the last outfit set.

 

Really sad to have missed the outfit. It is super cute! And I’m a sucker for cat stuff. @nancy_schroeder_ca , you’ll have to take lots of pictures!

 

Yes, please do take pictures @nancy_schroeder_ca! I really like how Sullivan's outfit is a blend of traditional and modern. I would have gladly bought it if it was in a bigger size.

I like the mature faces so Liam is a go for me but I will pass on the faceup

@GreenTeaSlug, Soooo can't wait to see your Liam when he arrives! Will you get him with face-up or do you have a different look in mind for him? He's definitely one of the more strong jawed sculpts I've seen from Idealian.

Im really really really hoping he comes in Tawny skin but I have a feeling that its going to be normal skin only. Normal is okay, but it would be so perfect to me for him to come in Tawny

I like his default faceup, but wish it was heavy like Hyun and Shoshon, those faceups were really nice!

When (its not a matter of if anymore) I get him, Ill be getting him blank. Im not too fond of orange lips for him
Ill be getting him dark dramatic eye makeup, dark low eyebrows, pale almost non existing lip makeup and a septum ring, perhaps some snake bites because I love seeing facial piercings on people

He will have an eyepatch, teased long black hair with a shaved bald side or not depending on how good I make it look lol. Basically Pete Burns in his 80's look lol

I think the sculpt looks quite a bit like Zac Efron?

I already received my ID75 chest harness from Freedom Teller (sadly the suit couldn't fit in the budget ). I didn't even know it had shipped. Definitely need to get a suit next time! I still have to prepare a full outfit for Shoshon. I always go to the blues and blacks, so I want him to have a gold color scheme. I was originally going to give Ender cat ears but I moved the idea over to Shoshon. I can't wait to customize him!

 

Im stuck trying to figure out who this sculpt is, Im sure one of you has a talent for this kind of stuff, can anyone help me ID him?
My guess is Seth, but Im not sure

I think with the harness you got, on top of that sheer top would look very cool, gives it an edge

If its not much trouble, when you get Shoshon, could you post a side by side of him with Ender? I did find a few photos but they were all blurry because of the photobucket issue, so a nice new one would be super helpful! They look like siblings to me, but theres just enough difference to set them apart

I’m so excited for you and can’t wait already to see what you do with him. I also got a big hit of Liam but still not deciding yet and I just saw Dia will be releasing in gray skin soon...extremely hard to decide

@Maechen cant wait to see your shoshon already! For really a while I couldn’t made difference between Shoshon and Aslan, they are both handsome. Ender has a similar look with The Hook more I guess.

@GreenTeaSlug I couldn't say no to that romantic face! I will be sure to take pictures of them both once Shoshon is here. I will finish paying for him this month so I hope to see him soon. I'm very excited to see the tawny skin in person. It looks great in pictures, so I'm sure it's even better in real life.
Thank you for linking the suit and the suggestion for the harness as well. That suit set would really make a doll feel luxurious with all the nice textures. I've been thinking about Shoshon's outfit and it would be nice if he showed some skin. The ID75 body really is too good to cover!

@Khlovera I can't wait to show Shoshon once he's done! I will definitely give him a face-up right away. I got him eyes from R.Dean so I am looking forward to seeing him with bright cat eyes.

@Khlovera Have you seen the new Dia? Is he someone you like or do you prefer to wait for a gray Kay? He looks really beautiful with his glitter eyeshadow, in my opinion, the best looking Dia officially released by Soom so far. I love the face with the sleepy eyes, and the priest fullset is very beautiful looking

Tawny skin is really beautiful, the gray wig really makes it stand out. Theodore has such a nice and ideal face shape, that V shape jawline by the way thank you for confirming its Seth, amazing how angles and styling can make someone look entirely different lol

@Maechen I really really really like Liam the more I see him!
Im guessing based on the "Unforgettable" part, and the same horns as Shoshon, his styling will be complementary and similar. Would have been really cool if he came with a different set of horns, but Im not complaining.
No details on the skin colors yet, but I hope he comes in tawny skin too

You are right about the idealian body, the thigh muscles is what interests me the most, those BIA suits on toabao... I think would look nice on him with his cat ears.... please tell me you are also getting him a tail?!

Congratulations on securing the R.Dean cat eyes, Ive seen the pictures and they look awesome and bright, love how vivid they are, Im eager to see how they look like on Shoshon, should be very interesting!

Speaking of eyes, has anyone seen the new Mako Soul line? I ordered a couple, they look really impressive AND wallet friendly (with K Packet shipping too!)

 

Damn it, SOOM, I wasn't planning to shell all five of my deities, but if Liam has a tan option, I'm going to be majorly tempted...

Oh dear. I'm going to have to think about this one. While I really do like his face as is, it's a little serious for the character I'd want him for.

 

@GreenTeaSlug Congrats on Liam! He looks a lot better to me in the new pictures, but my wallet is still safe this time.
My new guy will definitely have a tail! I already put together a posable tail design for my Shoshon, so I plan on fine tuning it once he is here. I mainly want to make sure I can match the color to his wig, which I will figure out after he arrives.
I really like the new Soul line from Makoeyes but I'm trying to not spend too much money right now. I like the blend of colors they have, but I really hope they make blue eyes for that line. I want to get the brown/green ones in the future. I'm sure they will look great.

@GreenTeaSlug CONGRATS on ordering Liam! I was also excited to see that Soom offer him under tawny! I really want to get him but still not deciding yet, need to manage my budget first lol! End of year with too many seductions! And yep I’ve seen Dia, his faceup type B in gray is really something that Id like to get, but don’t know how to find a split partner, will find one via split section later.

@marci12 are you planning to get one also? The more I look that your twin Amor the more made me want one, lol

@Khlovera Yeah, Makoeyes are my favorite! I really like their OZ line. So far, I only have Ender and Shoshon. I hope to own Zak and Narmer in the future. They are my must-haves and at the top of my wish list. I'm really kicking myself for passing on elf Zak earlier this year... I definitely won't miss out on Zak next time!! I really wish I had looked into ordering from Soom instead of admiring from afar when I first joined the hobby. My main goal for 2019 was to watch Soom more closely, so I won't let them fall off my radar anymore! They really are my favorite for male dolls. I don't have a guy in normal skin yet, so that's on my to-do list!

 

I wish Soom would add eye size suggestions so I can plan him ahead! I used to look at the eyes offered with the sculpt, and made the correlation, but Liam's release doesnt come with eyes or the wig XD

I know Soom sometimes gets artists to do their dolls, so I hope someone can help me. Does anyone know the artist behind the latest Shoshon's faceup, and Hyun's faceup? I love the heavy smokey look with the eyeliner, its so pretty. I ordered Liam with his faceup because I think it might end up similar with Tawny skin, but if not, it shouldnt be too hard to add dark eyeshadow. Maybe Dia's glitter too because I like how that looks, but maybe Liam would look better toned down lol

Seeing Isabel turn up when searching for Idealian woman is painful! Shes such a beautiful sculpt, but I think they should have styled her more trendy or youthful like Irene if there was a sales issue. Isabel looked like a successful CEO the way they presented her. Such a shame, because her face is so pleasing. I suggested Saiph make a return as an Idealian woman in the future. Saiph is another one Im surprised has disappeared seeing how popular she is on flickr! Im not impatient to get one, but seeing the Idealian female body, I want one with the resin heels so I wont have to look for shoes everywhere lol....

@marci12 layaway really are the best in this hobby right?! LOL I was against them at first, but seeing how I can now afford to get limited dolls easier made things more "affordable" lol.. this is dangerous.

@Maechen Zak, Dia/Sard and Hyperon are probably the most popular of Soom's offerings, so Im positive you will be getting a chance at Zak again eventually, I love this method of Soom rereleasing and offering new sculpts month to month! Speaking of, I hope that Idealian team does something similar to Gem's survey for a rerelease... Kitty Shoshon XDDDDD Im so excited on your behalf and I really really really want to see that!

They really should do a full choice event soon. I feel like its been so long since they had one, and it would be cool to get dolls in different skintones. Can you imagine a Kay in grey skin? With the sleeping face? So cute!
It looks like Sard is winning in that Gem survey so if you miss this one, theres also that to look forward to, and it looks like blue skin is winning, so that would set up apart from all the other past Dia's, Sards and Kays. Im sure there will be an option for "human" skin tones if he ends up winning the survey with the fantasy skin

My guys are all rockers so I was like hmmm on Liam but after doing some test wigs (app fun) I have decided he will fit right in with my crew
I will get him blank but am still undecided on his faceup.
I am still waiting on Tei and David to ship.
David I did order with the Dark faceup and it will look good gorgeous with the long hair.
AS for Tei I got him blank but I am digging the red so he will be a redhead.

Tei looks amazing in that red hair, you know I did not care for Tei too much but seeing him with that long hair makes me appreciate him more now, so hopefully David and Tei dont take too long until they ship to you

I really like Liam in the dark blonde hair, but Ive never seen that color of blonde offered as a doll wig before, I think if you can get a human hair wig and have it dyed to look similar, it would look really cool and interesting!

With the long dark hair, he looks like adult Carl from The Walking Dead

Just got an answer from Idealian department about the event <Best Choice>, as I saw what does The gem did, so I was wonder if we could have one for the Idealians, unfortunately the answer is NO...

i was hoping that the best choice event is a similar one as a FCE that we could dream about same as the monthly schedule, only The gem did but not for Idealian.

I find it a hard technique to get desired information from Soom, as I always need to think about the best way to ask a question. So Soom said they will release 4 Idealians during Nov and Dec, including an ID51, "but details have not been decided including the free choice event this year now." Well, at least it's not a definite "No" to the FC right?

@Khlovera Not sure if this is what you're interested in, but have you heard that Soom is going to re-release grey Phonolus (Master version) at Dollyparadise event in Shanghai this month?

 

@Zhenwu Thanks for the information! I'll have to keep a close eye on Soom's plans before I decide on getting any other dolls for the rest of the year then!

 

Soom almost always gives vague answers to requests. That doesn't mean they won't ever do what you asked but it's not an immanent release. They do forward the requests to the design team and if they get enough requests, they will do something.

Since they have changed their management team, I don't think the old FCE fits in with the current way they work. The FCE events had a lot of ryles and conventions about what was offered and what could be ordered. For Supergm, only fantasy bodies were ordered and you couldn't order a doll that matched a previous limited edition. Soom has even changed their definition of a limited edition. It used to be the first release of a sculpt but now it can be based on a special face up or some other specific.

I think we need to start them think in a new direction. Perhaps we should ask for a fantasy color event.

 

@Zhenwu thanks for the info! I saw Soom official posted on their IG and the limited QTE5 of red brick Garion and grey pharaoh Narmer are on the website now. They are both amazing, Dokkebi Judan’s outfit with R.Dean’s faceup, and seems like a Chinese wig artist’s work went super well together! Wonder how difficult it could be by lottery basis to these two brilliant sculpts.

@nancy_schroeder_ca that could be, thanks! I despiteously want a FC event for soooo long. And it’s such a shame that Idealian department doesn’t have that much event as The gem did.

Well, I'm probably going to regret passing on Liam, since it may be impossible to find him in tan later, but I just wasn't sure I could make him work. Still love the sculpt though. Hope anyone who did go for him will share photos eventually!
