Soom Idealian 75cm Discussion Part 10

Yeah, I was hoping Soom would do another girl *hint* *hint*. I blame it on @Twisty. Poor Ethan gets nervous when I start to think of him as a girl lol! Sabik sculpt can be very pretty.

 

Do you know how is he different from Narmer? Because I like Narmer a lot but Tei seems just as pretty.

 

I do not have Narmer and hope that Raiden, my SOOM Tei will make you want to take SOOM Tei home with you! I have more pictures of him on my Flickr account and it is free to look, LOL.

Hey everyone. My Narmer and Ender haven't arrived yet, but i'm still hope someone can help....Does anyone know if these Grand Delf boots would fit an iD75? I'm pretty sure the outfits do, but trying to make sure for the shoes.

EMS Premium seems to be UPS, and once he shipped out my Ender showed up in three days. Seemed like a pretty good deal to me for being the "cheaper" option.

 

@Twisty I am agreeing with @Toxigenesis. The premium is UPS and my doll arrived in three days. They also delivered 9 or 10pm too (in the US) so you will get your doll fast and cheaper shipping cost.

 

Shipping for me for an outfit an Gluino is over $200 for regular EMS, yet premium is much cheaper.

So is anyone else have trouble logging into the website? All other buttons on the website work except for the login. I've tried different browsers and it's still the same.

Hmm strange. I've been trying on my phone and laptop and I can't login which was weird because I was able to login this morning.

 

I just tested login in my phone, and I'm able to make it work too. Maybe it's with a particular browser, or theres some sort of regionalized outage?

I wanted to share my first Idealian, Ender. I loved R.Dean's faceup work on the official site so much that I tried my best to reproduce it without as much gold. This was my first with metallic paint so it looks kinda rough.

Also, I thought I had all the clothes for him I needed, but mostly everything could not fit. I should have listened! So the jacket is a bit small on the sleeve length. But...I was surprised the Ringdoll Dracula hat snuggly fit on his head. I ordered an actual ID75 outfit from here so he'll be looking sharp soon.

Well I took the plunge and purchased the event Amor with both heads and a pair of jointed hands. I couldn't resist his unique face sculpt. Guess this will stop me from getting any more dolls this year haha.

 

Another one here who purchased Amor. I have been waiting him to be re-released for a while with the human head version (loving the vampire version too thou, I wish I had a character...), so I had to get him or I would have been regretting.

 

Hi folks! I'm thiiiis close to getting Amor because he is SO gorgeous, but was wondering if y'all have opinions on the ID75 body? I keep on hearing that they are difficult to pose, but its just hearsay. Mind sharing some honest thoughts? I'm trying to decide if I should split the body out and hybrid the heads.

 

My two 75cm bodies like to buckle at the waist when I’m working on getting them to stand but I love these bodies. My favorite thing is carrying them from place to place. They actually hug me and I feel very maternal. I am obsessed with good posers but I love these guys best hugging on a couch or reaching for each other on chairs (they are lovers). They are fine once standing too.

Jian is so pretty but I have no money saved up because of Amor. This hobby is so cruel sometimes.

 

I am currently debating on Jian, I was planning on getting one more doll this year, a girl thou, buuut maybe… I really want him, but I would have (coz I cant justify myself otherwise hah) to sell one of my other upcoming doll and save from other stuff… Amor was on my wtb list, so I am super glad I got him at least. I am glad I still have time till 5th of August to decide... Ugh, Jian's sculpt is nice.

 

They REALLY need to do a release schedule/calendar so it’s easier to plan purchases.

Will clothes for 70 cm dolls fit the 75 body alright? I'm having trouble finding clothes that go to 75 cm

 

Not all 70+ clothes fit ID75 boys.
I just search Etsy for ID75 clothes. Also Sadol has clothes for 75cm. And the marketplace here. Instagram has many sellers for clothes too.

Just got my shipping notice from Soom for my Garion.

I love seeing how many of you are all hoping for him to come back too. I’m closing in on six months of tagging the Soom and Idealian IG accounts daily (kiwibjd over on insta). I’ve asked them directly and while they never given me a straight answer, they’ve also never said no. So there’s hope, with patience.

And I oopsed and grabbed a human Gluino head. That apparently has decided he is in fact a whole man now. Whenever he ships anyway.

So I have a pile of things for hypothetical Hyperon who does not exist and this poor Gluino has hair and eyes and not one stitch of clothing waiting for him. That seems like the correct order to go in.

 

Anyone have both Cream and Cream White dolls to compare? I think I've finally resigned myself to buying an ID75. I've liked the Idealian line since they launched but wasn't sure I could handle the size. I've got an ancient Mecha Angel head who really needs to beef up, but I have no idea what would match old yellow Cream White. Does Soom Cream White still yellow as fast as it used to?

My Garion showed up today unexpectedly! Tracking still says he's in Korea. It's fun how I know these guys are huge, but it's really hard to truly fathom that until you see one in the flesh. My shoulders already gotten a workout. lol

I have a question about the 75cm body legs. Is it normal for the lower legs to be quite bowed backwards? It almost feels like I can't get mine to stand up straight unless I have his legs spread pretty wide apart.

 

Yeah, they're a bit odd looking. His sideways stance looks like this. You just need to work with the center of balance in the hips and torso to combat that and he'll stand with his legs together no problem. The legs in general aren't that great but I do hear they're an improvement from the older body. I made this review of the body last year, where you can see that the legs have other problems as well -mostly when trying to do sitting poses.

And I with you about the brain breaking the thinner bottom part when it came down. That happend to my ID Ebony. She arrrived broken because the brain had come off the heaback and smacked down.



Happy to say I got my Anubis head (that uses a S hook) on a ID75 and I really like it on him.

So, it looks like the poor boy suffers from hyper-mobility in his knees like I do. (My legs pretty much look very much like that picture of an Idealian from the side)But, at least as a doll he won't have the same joint problems as me.

 

I got my Garion-D last week. He is all done with his surgery! He is now my elf Garion!! Got some recycled items on him. Tbh, I don't really know how his character actually looks like. His character was always just an idea.

Hi all! I recently just got a Soom Xenos and he's an absolute nightmare to pose. Is this how all ID75s are? Just wanted to know! I'm seriously thinking of sueding him or something. Anyone have any advice? Thank you!!!

 

I'm new as an owner to the ID75 and I think mine is just loosely strung because of the hook. I don't know how good they are at posing. I just need to be careful til I tighten him for his knees like to buckle on me.

 

Hm, they are quite heavy. I would put them squarely in the "sit pretty" category of dolls.

 

Has anyone tried a Sartoria 71 Athletic body or a Granado 75 Adagio for their ID75 heads? I'm wondering if they might be a better choice in terms of engineering. It seems like they'd still fit all the fab ID75 clothes that are being made now.

 

I do have all three bodies. Now if I can just find time to get them all out at the same time!

Six months of asking for the OG Hyperon from the founding molds and they trot out Lim. Though to be fair, he’s VERY pretty.

I’m absolutely sure you won’t be the only one tempted to cave for him.

 

Mine also seems loosely strung... hmm. But I hear restringing IDs are a nightmare as well LOL ^^;

LOLLL I think that will be his fate tbh!

 

@Sakhmet Considering how often they re-release Hyperion in general I'm sure they gotta get back around to that version soon.

Man what a difference a face-up makes in how one can view a sculpt. His original version was nice but never wowed me. This one made my insides do somersaults.

 

@Cloudedmind oh they release his variants in the form of Scarface often. 4 releases on scar, 2 on romantic and original, 1 on vampire for standard releases. It’s been six months of hyperfixation, trying to find a pattern, asking Soom directly, and ridiculous daily posts.

Seeing comments about some of you guys having problems posing or being leery of restringing makes me wonder if I shouldn’t do some full tear down and restring posts when the Gluino I oopsed on makes it home. I always take new dolls apart anyway, so it may as well benefit someone other than me.
