Loongsoul 1/3 doll discussion Part 5

He's gorgeous. But to be honest... I'd be happy if they released a photobook with their promo pictures. I love their dolls for sure, but the pictures are breathtaking.

 

I'd totally buy it! I'm still waiting for my first doll from Loong Soul but have been admiring their photographs for a long time.

 

Same about the photobook. Maybe each and everyone should write LS and suggest interest in it and they'd do a print version. I remember there used to be postcards with some of the promo pics in the past, but don't know if they still do that. (And I'd absolutly totally want a proper Artbook regardless *0*)

hopefully the making time will not be 12-14 months for that one ! I got turn down buy the last doll because of the waiting time ! So much can happen in one year lol !

Does anyone have pictures of the most recent 73cm body? I've been looking for owner pictures but can't really find any, most seem to prefer the older version.

 

I have the new 73-03 body with the 2part torso! I've been trying to figure out flickr but my albums don't seem to be working so please let me know if this link doesn't work either.
The lighting isn't consistent across the photos since it's partially cloudy today but I hope those help!

If anyone has both the new 73-03 body and the old 73-02 body, how different are the wrists between the two? I originally ordered my Yuze with jointed hands through Alice's Collections but Loongsoul informed Alice's that the 73cm jointed hands are incompatible with the new body so I didn't end up getting them.

Also good to know that the jointed hands don’t work with the new body, I was actually considering to get them but in that case I’ll pass.

 

No problem! It was fun to see what he could do! ^^ He can stand on his own but he's more likely to lose his balance compared to my MSDs. I'm too worried to leave him standing alone for long It could be his stringing though! My roommate's Alioth is also on the new body and he seemed a lot more solid standing alone than my Yuze.

Yeah, really sounds like it could be because of his stringing! I only have one other SD doll but he needs to be very balanced out as well and I wouldn't leave him standing alone either.

Also, I'd like to share that my Jiao Mu Jiao girl shipped early!
I'd been expecting a waittime of at least 6 months, but she's taken less than 4 since ordering day!
Really excited to get her. And for the shipping note to come today, when I've been slaving away for the last three weeks for an event at work, that has definitly given me a few gray hairs, this feels like such a special rewards -^3^-

 

I just got a shipping notice this morning from NewClover-Singing that my Xuanlong shipped! I'm hoping he doesn't take as long as my last order through her, which meandered for 48 days in transit x.x

 

Hope it's okay to post this hybrid with Loongsoul 73cm body in the Loongsoul outfit I just got from Legend Doll. So beautiful!!! Legend Doll had a size option for 73cm that LS didn't.

@IzabethS Ooh, I hope your Xuanlong doesn't take that long to get to you! Please share lots of pics when he comes, I feel like I've seen quite a few Xuandis but not so much the dragon version yet.

Ying Zhou is super handsome! Though I'm already happy just with one Loongsoul fullset, and I actually think I'm done with buying new dolls for now. But I'll be interested to see owner pics of him eventually~

 

@bickazer thanks I hope so too! I've seen at least 1 or 2 of the dragon versions on IG so far, but I think it's been all the french black ones. Mine is in the brown tan. His second box shipped a day after the first, so his parts will arrive separately. I am really curious which box contains what and which one will arrive first! According to the tracking, the first box is 6.98kg and the second is 6.90, so I really wonder just how heavy the put together doll is

I will for sure! Both boxes have been sent off from Shanghai, so now it's just a matter of time to see how and when they arrive, and how much customs I'll need to pay...

 

@IzabethS XD My girl also just left Shanghai. I'm kind of imaging both of your boxes racing for you, trying to get ahead of each other, while my girl just wants to get to me before either gets to you XD

Does anyone know what resin matches with Loongsoul's imported white? I am NOT feeling the body he is on. It's sturdy and nice, but not my thing. However, he is the strangest color white I have seen in a while. XD I used to only buy my dolls in white skin but I've never seen anything quite like this. It's almost like he has a blue undertone? His head is also so small! I just think it'd be better on a different body. I'm worried hybriding him would be impossible, but I'm hoping I can find some help if anyone knows anything.

The current white I have is Volks, IOS, Switch, Fairyland and none of them are anywhere close.

 

Strange, I just got one tracking number. Wonder if it’s because I’m in the us? It may be cheaper for them to ship in one huge box?

Y’all! I’m gutted! My black dragon got sent back to New Clover Singing! (At least that’s what I think it says). It had a “returned security” notice, but a day later released from import customs, but then a couple of days after that, it went to “ peace in the sales office”, then the same day “return to the proper cast”. I’m very confused, but China Post support says that means it went back to New Clover Singing”….. I’m waiting to hear back from her, but I didn’t have any issues with the body I also ordered. It got here in July just fine.

Well, got a reply from Christina over night that she would check with Yanwen as they didn’t get it back yet.

 

My girl is stuck at "Airline reception" aka waiting to catch a flight since 15th. Meh.
I knew transporting situation out of China was bad, but I didn't expect this.

Oh no!!! It really sucks for everyone! I don’t really understand what’s going on, as I just had a body delivered just fine in July. It came through FedEx, and not EMS though.

 

@IzabethS Woha, at least they are having fun together. I don't even wanna know what mayhem they come up with while killing boredom. It would be cool for them to head out together thought Just cements the idea, that we totally need to meet up.
I have plans to hit Vienna next year anyway - you got chinese and japanese gardens/parks that I must visit for photos XD

@Alicat Yeah, really not a fun situation right now.
Far as I know production stops due to lockdowns have made serious dents in a lot of people's storages and now everyone is trying franatically to get their items shipped asap. Which means there currently is at least trice the amount of requests for transport than usual. (At least that's the kind of info I have due to my own work.) I'm assuming this would also hit flight transport sooner or later and packages like ours getting pushed back for others with higher priority.
That's just me making assumations based on the infos I have.

My girl - after ghosting me since 15th - finally moved. Like. Teleporting style. Fwoph. Appears in my countries customs and leaves right away again.
Curious to see if she's coming to raid my home tomorrow or sometime next week. (Crossing fingers for tomorrow XD)

@IzabethS I'm kinda sure they boarded the same plane. Maybe they just did the 'ladies first' thing and then went into the weekend. She was checked in and out around midday and that's usually when they finish up for the week.

@Snowy - yes! They moved yesterday and the day before. Now they are at “transit in transit station”
no clue what that means, but I guess it’s better than no movement I suppose…

Hello y’all! I was trying to avoid coming here to not spoil anything (or my mood, lol)! I’m glad there’s been some movement for a couple of you! My boy still hasn’t moved since August 15! That’s when Yanwen express supposedly sent him back to Clover Singing. I asked her if she’s heard anything since it has been a week since I heard from her. Hopefully SOMETHING soon.

Dolls not moving for about two weeks seem to be a current think.
Are you using track17? They often have some more info, than other tracking tools.
If it's like it was with me and IzabethS, then you should be able to get SOME movement soon. Crossing fingers Christina might already have some infos for you and can send him back headed your way.

 

Whooooot! Yanwen sent Christina a new tracking number! @Snowy , yep, I’m using that site to track. The new one now says he was sent to the delivery company. It says passed import customs already, but the last one did too, before it got turned around. Just keeping my fingers crossed!

Sorry to double post, but yesterday my Black Dragon's fantasy parts arrived, and today the main doll cleared customs.

I'm a little sad as the tail tip arrived broken into 3 pieces. I wrote Christina right away, but I also superglued the pieces last night. I tried stringing the tip onto the trail, but after many issues, including getting it unstrung by accident twice, I will replace the elastic later today

Do you have any clips to help with the string, so it doesn’t unwind again?

 

@Snowy the main box also decided to clear customs today, so I am hoping for a delivery tomorrow!
I do have hemostats/forceps but at one point the s-hook unbent, and then the tail fell apart, then I couldn’t get the stupid elastic through the last curved section of the tail as it is very difficult to pull through. Another time my ribbon broke just as I was about to clip the elastic, and again the tail fell apart at that.
Currently the tail is strung but a little looser than intended. At least it’s staying in one piece now with an added elastic loop.


Here are all the fantasy parts I got yesterday. The feet are bigger than my hands, no joke!

Wow I bet that tail is as heavy as a bjd loving the details in the sculpting too... the foot looks similar size to Soom Sphaler's just more hefty.. just measured my Sphaler and his feet are 19cm from back claw end to front claw end (Sphaler's has slimmer claws), would love to see a LS dragon next to Sphaler (if anyone has both)

@IzabethS Oh my ... Thanks for that lovely detail shot of those parts. I really love how well you can see the little vines, scales snd other details that were sculpted into this.

Did you have another s-hook then?
I think you glued well, i can’t see where the tail end is broken at all.
I like to use wire coverd in fuzzyness for wiring and with stuff like this jointed tail I prefer from the end and clip the string after every few joints. The wire thing is called „Pfeifenputzer“ in german. I can PM you a pic for reference if you want.

The feet are massive! And beautiful ❤️they will do perfectly well to help spread the weight and balancing.
