Hey guys! I am waiting on my Anhais Studio Jupiter head to come back from the faceup artist to see if I may order him a LS 73 cm body. In the mean-time, I have three beast boys I adore!

I got zinged on the last thread for too many pics, so this may be a re-post for the new thread:

Has anyone gotten the B-G63-01 body? I'm curious to know if the hip joint helps in posing at all, or if it's totally unusable like so many other hip joints out there? I love the expressions of this body I see it comes with more than just a hip joint, but also thigh joints. Are these only for twisting? Or do they also pull out to lift the leg up in a seated position? Thanks for info

 

if they work anything like the thigh joints on the 69cm girls and 73.5cm guys they also pull out for more adventuresome posing. That's how I get all my big dudes to squat (which they all can, like freaken champs!) and how I managed this picture of Julius skateboarding

That's all him, no photo witchery or hidden supports, oh, and the skateboard is fully functional and kept rolling on me while I was trying to pose/photograph him

that's because it's not a handboard, it's actually a skateboard 3D printed for BJD. I got it from Craft4dollsShop on Etsy (and it looks like she's got a few more in stock)

 

I love this! I can't wait to try out some posing with FeiHuaDeng and WeiYueJin (and Upsilon), hnnng.

She looks great! Did Loongsoul have a backstory for her or say what her name meant? I just got one second hand (she looks like new) I thought I would use the body for another head but..I like the XinLan head!
Her promos just have a sort of.. Playboy Bunny theme? I thought maybe a moon rabbit might be what was going on-- but there is really no ad copy.

 

Thanks!! I didn't see a backstory for her on the website, which is totally fine by me. Xinlan is absolutely the prettiest doll Loongsoul has, but I'm very biased.

I feel like all of Loongsoul's 69 cm girls are giving off either playboy bunny or victoria secret model vibe in the company photos.

 

My favorite ones are the traditional fairies, but I think most of those dolls are shorter except for XiGui.
But Xin Lan really does have the sweetest face! I love the casual cool style yours has.
Mine is wearing a scarf because it was supposed to have a FL head on there XD The resin is really nice and it's such a good clean cast. I think you got the "higher intelligence" eyebrows --Pinkie looks a little surprised, along with pleasant.

 

I love the fantasy fairy style! The props absolutely make it. Love all the flowers. Like a garden sprite!

I may have a head that I like for the LS bloom body I got, but chances are the head won't fit. We'll see if I can get it to work, but I'm excited as this sculpt reminded me instantly of my YT character from snowcrash!

so loong! but then, long legs are kind of my jam it would have been nice if LS had offered the smaller busts when I ordered her, so she could fit in more shirts, but she is pretty awesome as is

Girls in general, or LS girls specifically? I've kind of got a lot of girls, a lot a lot of girls, but most of the sweaters get knit for the fellas and they tend to hog camera time too (that's what they get for having easier to knit for bodies and posing so well!)
I'm excited to see your LS hybrid. put her together and show her off!!

LS girls I meant . Although I am not crazy about huge breasts because they give me nightmares of what they were like before I got rid of mine that there is a gorgeous body I especially love her hips and waist, they are nicely proportioned.

Also, @Girrl , don't let me get on your nerves. My memory is getting bizarre and I am prone to forgetting and repeating myself. I might forget who what when where why, but not because people and there collections aren't memorable but because I got a lemon when they handed out brains prior to being born. God apparently gives no guarantees, LOL

 

@IngieBee not on my nerves at all! Now that I'm not doing photostories regularly (ie, at all anymore, really, need to work on that) lots of the dolls aren't getting much camera time. Besides, I'm absolute rubbish at keeping track of other people's collections, so I'm really just flattered when anyone remembers any of mine

 

LOL, I say that in general, so people know, yes, there is something wrong with me, LOL. I guess I'm a bit self conscious about it, but at the same time, I laugh. Anyways, if I had money, I'd be ordering a Min Yan, I just adore him, but times have gotten tough again :P Lack of money sucks! LOL

And yes, we need a money tree! It would save so much trouble!

 

A money tree would be nice right now, especially one that gives a lot of shade (it's too hot here and the more shade, obviously, the more cash). Anyone have a $100 seedling? They're easier to harvest I hear?

In the meantime, my fantasy shopping cart at acbjd keeps growing and the total has no meaning for me anymore, LOL

 

How much prior notice does Loongsoul usually give before releasing a new doll? I'm very interested in the new doll they've recently released pictures of but I'm worried I won't have the time to save up since it doesn't mention the order period. > <

 

All doll companies get a readout of your bank account. When it is close to zero, they will release the doll you always wanted. There is no prior notice.

Not sure if this make sense, but how yellow is Loongsoul yellow? Like compared to Ringdoll normal and Volks Pureskin. Not trying to resin match but seeing if which yellow spectrum Loongsoul yellow fall under. Light yellow, or really yellow/normal skin look like volks or darker?

I want to order Eleven Jr before his preorder period is up in a couple days but not sure if I should try the yellow or stick to the white like my other Loongsoul dolls. I generally like the light normal skin (similar to Ringdoll) but not wanting him to be yellower/darker than my Volks Pureskin.

 

I have the normal yellow, and it is very light IMO.

 

I agree with @IngieBee , it's a light normal skin slightly on the yellow side. It's lovely and I'm not a fan of yellow skin! Their body blushing is awesome! I didn't get it on my first doll and I wish I had!

 

Agreeing with @IngieBee and @nancy_schroeder_ca , I have 3 dolls in LS yellow and I think it's gorgeous!

 

Sorry for the double post, but this is my oldest LS yellow dude, who had been in stock for a bit at MoC when I got him in March 2012


He's got some faint "tan lines" from dozens of long car drives in the hot summer sun to visit my relatives, but LS resin is remarkable stable and he hasn't darkened that much at all, especially considering how not careful at all I've been about yellowing with him

Anyone know if the 69cm female head will work on the 63/62cm female body? I love the 69cm body but they are so big. I prefer the 60-63cm size.

 

I can try to do a headswap later tonight or tomorrow for you. I have a TanYue (69cm body) and a Chloe (58cm body), so I can put TanYue's head on Chloe's body. They both have fantasy feet, but the upper body proportions should be normal at least.

I figured I already have the answer to this, but thought I'd ask anyway. But, does Loongsoul sell heads separately? I'm interested in Goumang, but find the 68cm body to muscular for what I have in mind and the 62cm to short.

 

Write to Alice of Alices Collections and ask! I know sometimes they sell rolling heads but I am not sure what the circumstances are.
LOL I wrote "Go Ask Alice" at first which is something completely different.

Why are Loong Soul dolls so gorgeous?? Every time they release a new one, I go, "Oh I NEED that one," even though I 1.) Do Not actually need them and 2.) don't have the funds to buy them anyways. I can't stop looking at them though!! I missed Zhu Zao's fullset unfortunately, but every time I go back to Alice's website and look at the Loong Soul dolls, it almost feels like Goumang and Yun Zhong Jun are taunting me....I think I might regret it if I don't go for Yun Zhong's full set, but I'm also not sure I can justify buying another doll right now....hormphs I will just. Look at them. For now.

 

Good luck with that @kibokyana the only thing that stops me is lack of funds, I'm that horrible! Lord have mercy on my gluttony!

@kibokyana I know what you mean completely! I have one additional limitation: space! But Loongsoul keeps tempting me!

 

@kibokyana Goumang and Yun Zhong Jun are the two dolls tempting me right now as well. I'm not as interested in their fullsets, but man are they pretty.

Anyway, I asked AC about LS selling only heads, and they said they don't.

 

I like the full sets but I was looking at faces and Wolf has a very interesting face.

 

Ditto on Loongsoul dolls being gorgeous. I mean, dolls in hanfu is my preferred look, but there's something about Loongsoul's sculpts that make them look perfect for Hanfu. They've been the biggest drain on my wallet so far, considering that I ordered Su Huan Zhen (because I'm a casual Pili fan), Goumang, and Zhuzhao from them as fullsets, and I'm sorely tempted to get Yun Zhong Jun as well, except I'm about to become unemployed, so I'd better conserve my funds instead...

 

Wow, I just saw Yun Zhong Jun. He's so handsome. Definitely added to my wish list in an instant.

 

Yes. And I think there's no notice period. It's literally effective the day they announced on September 27? I'm sad because I would've wanted an Ivan or Morgan somewhere along the line...

 

Wow! The discontinuation notice time was literally non existent! I wonder why they purged them so suddenly and quickly. I suppose it's always nice to clear out old inventory and start fresh, but that was seriously kind of out of nowhere. Although looking at the discontinued sculpts, it's quite clear that the sculptor's style has changed drastically over the years and maybe they were just ready to move on. Although, a bit more notice certainly would've been nice Sorry @fionvarre that you weren't able to get the doll(s) you wanted! Maybe one of these days, Loongsoul or another sculptor will make a doll that will catch your eye the same way

 

Haha, it's OK. Loongsoul has taken a fair share of my wallet since I started this hobby TBH. Currently looking at both Chehou Helian Rongying and YunZhongJun and trying to decide which one of them attracts me more. Helian is really limited and they won't be selling the basic doll after order period, so currently leaning more towards him, But I do so love YunZhungJun's half-lidded eyes look... Choices, choices.

 

Oh you have GOOD taste my friend. Yun Zhung really attracted me too, he’s just absolutely gorgeous. But I think Helian’s expression has more versatility. Both are still super solid picks though!

On another note....that 15% off sale Loongsoul is having is really, really tempting me.... This could be bad news bears (for my wallet)
