Has anyone got a 63cm girl yet? Any idea if one of the smaller gals' heads would fit well on it?

I haven't seen it... but my thought is that the girls with larger faces - Emily and Michelle - would probably look better proportionally than ZiXia, who has a smaller facial structure (not that ZiXia would look bad, just that the other 2 would look better). I've always felt my Emily girls would look better on a taller and fuller figured body. Alas, they are 2010 and early 2011, so I doubt I'd be able to get a decent resin match.

 

Good weather = blushing and faceups for all the dolls I received over the winter ^_^

So my Ken is complete and ready for some tailoring. Someone asked to see his face once i painted him, so here's pics of his face and the new body with blushing. thanks so much I just wasn't sure if it made him look too pale or a touch albino-ish or something. I'm in love with him, but he didn't turn out as I had envisioned. Something about around the eyes, but I can't figure it out. I do like the way his now though...

 

Oh, I never saw that but I usually view MoC, so that's why. But Kymera has a point, ZiXia is maybe a bit smaller/rounded than some of the others. I would order it at once but I haven't finished selecting if this is what I'm going for on my grail, or if I want to wait and see if anyone else comes out with a sculpt I like more for it. It's hard to find a sculpt that looks middle eastern, and still has a warm, happy expression.

So I bought my girl from MoC in Mid January so she wasn't ordered until Feb 1, so I'm still waiting. But it's very encouraging that people are starting to get their dolls in. There was a long break because of the chinese new year and their faceup artist taking time off. But as my girl is blank, it's really annoying waiting.
BUT MoC has the mold i want/ordered in white skin, and I'm tempted. I've always been interested in the idea of Black and white twins, twins with two different skin colors. Since the girl I ordered in January is a tan skin doll, I was considering getting the one in stock from MoC in white skin and playing with that idea. I'm still not sure but it's an idea I've been considering since I saw that they had her in stock.
I do hope my tan girl comes in soon though!!! It's been about 3 1/2 months so I'm hoping she'll ship out to MoC soon...-_-

 

Is the height of the 68cm body fairly accurate?

(I've been looking for a body that'll be between 65-70cm tall. Really I need him to be taller than 65cm but significantly shorter than 72cm & ideally a bit less than 70cm... Ugh)

Vetinari: wish I could help you, but my only LS girl is the tallest one Hope someone else can let you know.

Wovenwuff: They pose fantastically! Some of the best posing you can get on large dolls with wonderful jointing structure. The only thing I have a hard time with is the ankles sometimes. They definitely have to be sueded. Being that tall and top heavy does make the balancing of standing poses a bit more precarious which puts more emphasis on the strength of the ankles. I do have my girl in high heels though which is harder on any doll.

 

Hello, does anyone know what company sells jointed hands in a big enough size like Loongsoul does? I've got a 75cm giant that has a broken finger, I wanted jointed hands so he can pose with his new weapons. They won't replace it with jointed hands unless I buy another full sized 75cm body (kind of stupid... I even have proof I bought him from them). I've noticed that their hands are pretty massive in comparison to many other dolls. Bigger then all the dolls I have here, including my EID Iplehouse Luo, whom sell hands. Since Loongsoul won't sell me hands for a body I bought from them, does anyone know what size and resin match these gigantic sausages? I tried contacted them but that didn't work since their email bounced back with an error. I've contacted Jeeryama on ebay. She was the one that told me, regardless of owning a Loongsoul body, I cannot purchase jointed hands unless I purchase another Loongsoul body. Which for me is absolutely pointless because their 75cm bodies are expensive and in order to get the right jointed hands I have to purchase the body to match them. I know that they want to ensure... something... though not sure what by treating their customers this way. I've already got a Limited Reno on layaway and WAS going to purchase more LS dolls in the future but not if they treat me this way...

 

LimeLord - You can try do a split maybe to get jointed hands? Or, I don't know how about resin colour, but few days ago Spirit Doll add jointed hands for their Herculean body with is pretty big too (75cm), so you might wanna check it. Link -> http://www.spiritdoll.net/node/319

LimeLord -- goodness I can't believe that Longsoul said they were going to make you buy another body to get jointed hands.
I just went to Mint on Card's sales page for the 70cm+ size jointed hands (hoping that maybe you could order them through this retailer) and this is what the page says:

These hands are only available to customers who are ordering them along with a 70cm LoongSoul Doll boy, or a 70+cm LoongSoul Doll body. LoongSoul doll will not sell these hands without a doll or doll body of compatible scale. Customers who have purchased a doll or doll body with us from the past can order these hands, just type your past order # into the Comments Box at check-out.

Though I know that doesn't sound great seems to be this does show a loophole for you -- if you can find someone who has ordered a large LS doll from MOC you could get these hands I think.

Still I would be extremely frustrated with the situation. If this were happening to me I would certainly have a bad taste in mouth about ordering from LS again.

 

Vetinari -- I can't help you with the Loongsoul 68 body, but I have a chart of boy measurements that might help you a little.

 

Vetinari -- hey, would you like a picture of the 68cm LS girl next to some (varying) 70cm males?Let me know if that would be helpful, and I can make it so. I have a male just over 70 and an even taller DC male I could stand my lady next to for you to see -- because yes, these girls are very tall, in great proportion to look good with 70cm males.

 

LimeLord- You could try MoC (like AlisonVonderland suggested) or you could try gluing the finger back on, which is what I did when Tom broke a finger. I just used white school glue (off brand Elmers) and you can hardly tell which hand has the broken finger! I have to look at both of them. LS's big monster hands are easier to glue fingers back on and not have it look terrible and obvious (imo)

The issue with them not selling jointed hands separately or most heads or their clothing line for that matter, is most likely a business related issue - profit/return on investment vs. cost to produce the item. It's also probably the same reason why buying a 1/3 sized head and body separately will cost you $30 more than ordering a full doll.

 

LimeLord, omg that's crazy, especially since I distinctly remember as Alison quoted from Loong Soul's site: "Customers who have purchased a doll or doll body with us from the past can order these hands, just type your past order # into the Comments Box at check-out."

This is Mint on Card's policy, not Loongsoul's. LS states on the order page for the hands that they do not sell it separately.

It would be nice if they would sell them separately, but I could understand there being a legitimate reason why they do not.

I would try talking to MoC, maybe they can help you since you do own a doll. If not, maybe you can post a split or something like that.

 

Thanks guys! - I'm looking for the measurements of the Loongsoul Male 68cm if anyone has them (very specific ideas about relative heights!)

 

the page for the male hands doesn't say it, but the female, 69 size, and clawed jointed hands all say this: "Purchased prior to the birth certificate number of the body's customers can increaseenough to joint hands." Which I'm pretty sure is a bad translation of what we were saying previously.

 

Thanks a lot guys. Unfortunately I thought about getting jointed hands from them eventually. I would have/should have waited and bought the hands when I ordered a body from them in December but I didn't know that's how they worked. I thought if I kept the certificate (which has it's own serial number) I would just quote that and buy them at a later date. But BAH what a mess. I think I'll run over to Spirit Doll then. LS has left an indefinite bad taste in my mouth and I am in the middle of purchasing a limited Reno from them. Which they won't add two pairs of jointed hands to. One body per hand and has to be the same as the resin you are currently purchasing. I am absolutely livid.

 

I'm so sorry they're being so difficult! It makes me really sad because I love their big boys so much (I've got 2 so far...) and I desperately want them to not be lame...

 

You could do a WTB in the marketplace and see if anyone wants to sell a pair that they own right now. Or like Kymera said, maybe do a split with someone that's about to buy a doll?

I'd thought about it myself since they are the largest jointed hands I've seen so far and work pretty well with my Iplehouse dolls. Hopefully the other hands I already purchased will actually work though.

 

LimeLord -- I don't blame you thinking of looking elsewhere. I seriously think that they should reconsider this policy -- your doll's serial number / order number should be enough for you to order additional parts. But so it is I suppose -- I guess nothing can be done about LS policies at the moment.

As an alternative to Spiritdoll (if for some reason you need one) maybe you could try Dikadoll?

Their tall boys are stated to be 73cm, so perhaps the hands would be in good scale for you.

Hello again it's been 6 months and I'm still waiting for my JingLing ;_;...I even have a custom outfit for him! He's going to be an archer so I need to make him his bow and quiver. I should have gotten him jointed hands xD....

Hey IpLemons! Blaaaah that is a long wait. From what I've heard the wait your experiencing is pretty typical from LoongSoul -- I would think that very very soon now you should get a shipping notification. But then again I think maybe they've been very busy lately will the sales of all these new doll's they've put out since Christmas. I'll cross my fingers for you that your doll is ready soon.
I will say -- as a pretty devoted male doll lover -- that for me any boobs at all can be a bit frustrating. Haha, so the LS girl is yes, a challenge to clothe, though I just sew her new tops myself, and in the end it's dreamy enough boobage (as you say) to be worth it. My biggest challenge is not per-se with the breasts themselves, but making her look pretty in clothes with her wacky proportions. Not only does she have mega boobs, but her hips are relatively narrow in comparison, and her rear-end a little on the flatter end. She like the tall skinny version of the (all over curvy) DDy in my own opinion. Really though this unbalanced body shape is wonderful for anyone interested in making real women's styles of clothing. Just like a real girl she looks best if you trick the eye a little with the garments she wears.

MrFjmg -- haha! Yes, you and I both go crazy trying to deal with the long wigs I think! It's funny, the shorter blonde wig (angel studio with the curly ends) that you have for Sonia I also have in a different size for one of my other female dolls. Long hair is fun sometimes, sure, but I think I am most in love with female dolls who have cute shoulder length hairdos.
Whenever my life gets more organized and I have some things for you and Sonia I will let you know personally because you are my good Flickr friend! So don't worry you're going to miss them -- after you talked about long skirts to me I'm going to eventually get around to making some stuff just for Sonia I think. It would make me very happy!

I've been considering ordering Farkas in gray skin, but I'm reallly having a hard time making up my mind because of the clothing issue. I *cannot* afford to buy the full set, and don't really care for the clothing options as a...long term sort of look for the guy. So where on earth does some one buy clothing for his size?? He's on the 68cm body according to MoC. I'm working on my sewing skills, but....I just don't know if I'll ever be up to par. I would love to think I could commission something some day, but this is breaking the bank as it is lol. Any one know if there is a manufacturer who makes clothes that will fit him? I don't really care for the military look as an every day sort of clothing choices for my guy. :/

1. You can purchase a pair of jointed hans when you purchase the same size doll/body.
2. If you want to purchase a pair of jointed hands, Loongsoul offer pervious customer to purchase jointed hands by providing birth certicated No. with doll type(offcial name) and skin type.

Catas / Jeeryama, you guys are great.
I got my first doll through Jeeryama, the communication was fantastic so I never felt nervous about palming off so much money for a 3 months wait.
Then after a heart-breaking breakage, I got a part and jointed hands from Catas. What a relief to have a whole doll again.

What I am trying to say is thank you to both of you. You've always been extremely helpful and I did suspect a misunderstanding because you have both gone out of your way to make my buyer's experience (and I suspect everybody else's experience) special.

So, I just wanted to say, because there's no one IRL to share it with - I just put Farkas the werewolf on layaway! I am so excited, and feeling a little sick with guilt, but trying not to be because ugh, I love him so much XD

I got him in grey skin (which will be my first experience with grey skin & environmental resin) and I didn't order any make up to save on the costs for now...but... I did order his cute pet werewolf outfit :p I just couldn't resist the whole...werewolf meets deer doll (doll leaves sisley) opportunity.

I hope at some point in the future that Loongsoul will release JOINTED hands for their 68 Cm body! Especially if they are jointed clawed hands!

 

Congratulation! I ordered Farkas on June 6 with much the same feeling as you. I got all the blushing and all the extras because I'm still afraid to try faceups and blushing (noob, I know) so he was way more expensive than I intended. I also got the jointed hands for the 62 cm body because Loongsoul said that size would be best. Now begins the looooong wait!

 

P.s. I wanted to mention that MoC was kind enough to send me a picture of farkas with jointed hands on him in both the smaller 1/3rd size and the larger 73 cm size. The one seems a tad too small, the other much too big, IMO. If any one wants to see that, I would be happy to email them the photo's, as I wouldn't want to post without MoC's permission since it's their photograph. It also might help see the grey skin color - as no where on MoC's site could I find grey skin posted. It says that Farkas is shown in grey skin, but the grey skinned Farkas that they took a photo of with the jointed hands to send to me was MUCH darker than Loongsouls photo's displayed it as. I have no idea what is closer to the truth, but just wanted to throw that out there. If you'll PM me with your email addy I'll fwd it along. I also, ahem, have those unblurred photo's if your trying to decide if you could deal with the loose err...packages floating around. I'm going to go blush in the corner by myself now

 

Yay! Another Farkas! Did you order him on layaway or straight out? I can't wait to see some owner pics...there are so few owner pic's of Loongsoul dolls - let alone MALE Loongsoul dolls! I've never spent this much on anything save a car before so it's a bit.....squee for me lol. I hope whomever gets him first happens to be on DoA and posts lottsss and lottss of pictures
