Hello everyone! I'm just curious, do female Impldoll Idol/Star hands have gaps between the fingers? Looking at the pictures it looks like several fingers are fused together. I'm wondering now if I have to attempt some sanding if I want my upcoming girl to wear glove-like accessories.

 

We have new hands for Idol/Star female body.the old hands are fused together.^^

 

I just took a good look at the images of the new thighs and brown skin, and I just noticed that the hands ARE indeed different. Furthermore, the ball joint is now connected to the rest of the hand seamlessly. Kudos to Impldoll!

 

Not sure yet if the people from the previous discussion thread could see this, but my Azalea head event order (which has some add ons) already has a tracking number as of July 3. Those who participated in the Impldoll anniversary FB event may want to check if their orders are also cleared for shipping.

I never got any order info though, can you tell me more about how you found out your information?

 

Sadly I have none and I ordered minutes after the event apeared on Facebook. But both my John event order and Jerry head order came without messages to me

 

I'm hoping my Plaice event head gets here before Canada Post shuts down... Unions, strikes, lock outs - sounds like a great reason to hold an entire country's mail hostage, right?

I'd love to know where you got the tracking info. I never got a tracking number for my Martin head either.

 

@sno4wy @Uminari @UrbanHermit I began following up with Impldoll regularly starting the last week of June just to ask if there's already a projected shipping date. Here's a breakdown of what happened the past few days:

July 2: Impldoll replies that they will ship the order the next day.
July 4: Followed up regarding tracking number because I got none.
July 5: Impldoll finally gave me the tracking number. By then the EMS website says the item's in Beijing.

Hope this helps! You guys may want to email them directly to ask about order updates.

Hello Impl-owners, maybe you can help me! I'm looking for pictures of three specific girls together, or even just a combo of two of the three. I'm looking for face comparisons between Akasha, Crystal, and Deborah. If anyone has one or more of them, any pics are more than appreciated!
Mainly I want to see what all their ears look like, and if one could be an alternate for another (different faces for the same character). I know Akasha has short pointed ears and Deborah has long pointed ears, but I'm wondering about Crystal.

 

Hello! I posted on a different thread, but thought that I might as well post here too. I've been trying to turn an obnoxiously large boy head into a girl, and I think I finally decided on the Star female body. But I wanted to ask two questions. How flexible is it and do custom colors really not cost extra like the site says, because I prefer the dark tan of the head's original company.

 

@iamkathybrown I have yet to request a custom color from Impldoll. I am tagging @SapphireStargazer here specifically because she has an Azalea in custom blue; she'll be able to help you better. My upcoming doll has the updated thigh joints that supposedly fixes the leg posing problems of the old sculpt. I'll make sure to make a post about her poseability when she arrives.

 

My event Plaice head came in today! I'm surprised by how pointy his ears are, hope I don't accidentally stab myself with them! XD

This is my first experience with an Impldoll product, and I'm hoping that someone can tell me what the little number inside his head is? It looks like a letter followed by a number, are these unique codes assigned to each head in production for them to keep track of who got what head? I know it's common to not have CoAs with event heads, but does Impldoll do CoAs in general, or are these codes what they use instead to verify authenticity?

 

I received my Plaice head as well! He is my fourth Impldoll product so I'll try to answer some of your questions! I'm not sure about the number inside his head. My Martin and Plaice did not come with CoA's but my Joshua and Simon were purchased as full dolls (Simon was free in their event last October!) I have very nice fancy CoA's for both of them. Each of them has a very long number on it. It's possible the number inside the head indicates the batch? I'm just guessing

 

I have a couple event heads too. So, I don't have CoAs but I did keep the bags with the bar-codes on them. Between that and Impldolls not being known to be recasted (as far as I know), I feel okay with being able to authenticate them to someone else if the need ever arises. Not that I would ever want to rehome these guys. I really like them a lot!

 

I'm just waiting on my full Azalea elf on the new star body. She's set to arrive today!

I did get my event head too yesterday, another Azalea head, in case I want to practice modding her a little bit. We will see though! I can't wait for my new doll to arrive!

 

My event Azalea head plus the body I ordered was already in my country since the 12th but still stuck in customs (quite notorious bureau, really). I can't wait to finally get her!

 

Congrats as well! I can't wait until I can play with mine! I think she'll have the old thighs... so I'm going to order her the new ones to replace them.

And no, I think Impldolls sell for cheaply enough that it's not profitable to recast them. YAY Impl!

 

I'm looking at getting an Azalea or a Deborah on the idol body. Do they come with heel feet or do I have to order them additional? I only see star heel feet to order.

@chalyss I agree with you about that. Impldoll has done a great job discouraging recasters so far with their price range.

@hannaliten I asked Impldoll before if my doll's body (a Star) will come with heels, and they said they've included a pair as a gift. Since my doll is still being held up in customs, I haven't seen them yet. I don't think they include it by default though.

 

@AntarelNefertili thanks! If they're not included for the Idol girls, can they use the Star ones? I don't see any Idol ones for sale.

 

@hannaliten I found this particular post with detailed measurements of various Impl feet: IMPLdoll (2010-onwards orders)

Not sure if Impldoll has made any further modifications on their bodies over the years apart from the thighs and hands, but from those measurements it would seem Star heeled feet *could* be used by Idol girls. If anyone else on the forum can support/disprove this, please do so!

I've had them do colour matching for me and I was charged the price of a special skin (like tan or grey). Mine was a YOSD so the upcharge was only 25 bucks. Some folks have managed to get it for free though? I had my custom done a couple of years ago now and the the free colour service was more recent so...perhaps they've stopped charging for it? They did a nice job- I had a tiny matched to the blue resin of the doll in my icon. Some folks send in paint sample chips so they don't have to part with a piece of their doll.

 

The site says that Idol and Star matching is free.

 

I think that another color that is not white or regular normal skin color is a special color. Impldoll charge you as a spacial color but matching color service is not an additional charge... I mean... Gray is a special color that have an additional cost... but if you want an specific gray they will charge you as regular gray but not charge you for mixing and matching that special gray you want to match... I think that's how it works. Am I wrong?

By the way... they do a very good work matching colors. I recommend them.
Impldoll have a very good customer service too.

After months in layaway... my Tank arrived a few days ago. Too bad my airbrush still broken and I can't make his face up yet. He will have to wait another week to star to work on him. Impldoll match the color from my tan Supia doll. Is a rich tan color. and they did a beautiful job. I will be sharing pictures when he get his face up

 

I ordered a Tank head that I wanted to color match to my Soom Mega Gem body in Tawny skin. They charged me an extra $50 to color match just the head.

I'd let you know how it turned out but I think they sent me the wrong head. The color is a bit lighter than the sample I sent - and they didn't include my sample ankle piece when they sent him which I need to put my doll back together :/

@vevet Yes, they said that the piece was in the head and did I check the head. I checked everything, there was only the bubble wrap, a sealed bag with the head, and a COA.

They haven't gotten back to me since but its only been a few days. I might take pictures of the head on the torso and show them the color is lighter - its not as bad in sunlight though, but it still noticeably lighter, which wouldn't have bothered me as much if I had my body part back I don't have any of their other resin to compare it to, so I don't know if its a regular of theirs or not. I'm not sure what they're going to be able to do if they sent the head to someone else (which to me is best case scenario).

I'm just more disappointed than anything. I wanted my next doll to be a color matched blue Lydia to be my Mystique/Raven from X-Men, but now I'm pretty discouraged.

 

I really hope they can find that piece ASAP. pray pray

 

Thank you, me too. I really loved the Tank head for my Tony Stark, but their bodies weren't the right heights - I needed a 68 cm body (Which I would love if Impl released one!) for the character.

And for anyone wondering - the head fits on the huge mega-gem neck pretty darn good! Can't hook it because I can't restring him without the ankle piece to test mobility, but it fits!

@shinidoragon, soooo sorry to hear that! Usually Impl is really, REALLY good! But I suppose everyone has a bad day. I am hopeful they will fix it!

ABOUT HIGH HEEL FEET- best thing to do is email them and ask. Then it may be a gift. But yes, the New Starwoman feet and the Idol feet should be the same.

I gave my girl a face up yesterday. Now I just need to get smaller eyes and proper clothes for her.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I really hope they can track down the piece, but I'm starting to think they sent me the wrong head. I know its happened before with them. I'm hoping they can sort everything out - I have 4 dolls on my wishlist (2 custom colors) I wanted from them.

hello, in case i wish to put Azalea on the model body, the 56cm one.. could anybody show me the head of the big girls on this body please? i wish to get it in pink skin- the body i mean. is it shiny or matte?

 

@greeneyed-soul I think the new resin impldoll use is matte... a few years ago the resin was super shiny.

I'm looking for a new body for my girl, and one of the bodies I'm considering is the 56cm model body. Just wondering on how well it poses and if it can do and hold and variety of them? Also, the character is a small character short and Petite, small boned. I know I won't find a perfect match. But Impldoll owners, would you consider the 56 model body any of those? Thanks for any help!

 

I'm having a hard time finding answers so I guess I'll ask here as well. I want to get impldoll azalea head but I much prefer the iplehouse bodies, is there a color that matches? I am keeping an eye on a body in the mp that is ns but I wasn't sure if it would work well.

Hello everyone! I finally bailed out my Azalea out of customs today, and her hands are the updated women's hands (no webbing between fingers, more detailed, ball joint fused with the rest of the hand).

Now the problem is that I have to ask my husband to help me with the face up LOL

Hi all! I jumped on an Azalea head during the FB event and now I'm debating on which body to get for her, the Idol or the Star. Her consort is a rather tall lanky Dollshe Saint on the DSAM32 body, so I don't want them to look too disproportionate together. Would anyone happen to have a Dollshe DSAM32 around to give me an opinion?

 

I can take a picture of my Azalea on the new Star body next to a Saint in the really lanky Dollshe body. I'm not sure which one it is, but it shouldn't be a problem to pull him out of the commission pile!
