They come blank unless you want to pay for the face up. So you can get his head now for free except for shipping. Worth it right? That way if you don't know which skin color you want, you can see one in person before deciding.

 

Oh, wow, I'm glad these guys are also Idol size. I have a feeling John and Mr. Martin will need to share a body for some time...... Impldoll has to be the most generous bjd company ever!

John was on my wishlist since his release but I have no exact plans for him .... well I´m going to order him. Problem is the skin colour.... I want him in pink skin but Malik is in real skin.


I also got my vikings era pattern book yesterday and looking forward to start sewing. But first another trip to the hospital and than christmas

 

Congratulations on your upcoming John. Coincidently, we had these two cuties arrive today, and they're a pretty good comparison between real (little one), pink (big girl's body) and white (her head) skin.

 

I want them all... Not really but I tend to like sooooo many sculpts that I am not sure at what point I say no more. I love the Deborah and John in all reality. Does anyone have a close up of Deborahs face? I will be moding her fangs out and I am wondering how big of a deal it will be.

 

I need to get some clothes for my Dorisy.

phew...after waiting for a while. My Martin FB event head just arrived in the mail. I tried him on all the large bodies I had, Idealian, EID, and Evol. The neck is too small for either Idealian or EID, but he is a PERFECT fit on the Evol body so I plan to get him a Evol body.

Martin normally is on a Idol body, isn't he?

 

I second that! I'd love to see Martin on an evol body!

 

I found Martin under the Supermodel section though I'm not sure if there is a difference between the Supermodel and Idol series.

Here are pictures of him on the Evol body. It looks a tad weird coz his head is so much lighter.

Can the head move on the neck or does it stay stiff?
I have a Karena head and though the neck size of the Twigling body is the same as the neck size of the star body, the Karena head cannot move and looks too small when it is on the chunkier Twigling body.
I was very surprised to see how small the Karena head was, compared to the Chad head as well.

 

@BlitheFool - no problem.
@Lilla - I have no problem twisting the head around full circle. He can look up and down, all without gapping and actually holds any head pose I put him in.

I got a respond after I paid but nothing after that mail

 

They are having two parallel events right now...I really hope it won't be too much for them (though I did not place my order, as I really do not like this event doll).

 

At the last event it was much the same - they seemed like they tried to take all the orders in a swift manner and then focus on making the dolls. As far as I know all of them did come up in an acceptable time frame (even for ones like me who didn't order the usual resin colors)

I'm so in love with the Martin head I got in the previous FB event, and am glad to order more from Impldoll in the future! I'm already saving up for a Tony, but am also considering Alma! I love the company faceup B too. The only problem is to decide between the Star and the Idol body!

In the best case scenario I'd love to have both to shell siblings, but... my wallet may disagree. Besides, one of them is already shelled (she'd be moving in to Alma, and the other sister would get the Elfdoll Hazy...)

 

Yeah...that is pretty much what happened to me as well. I emailed them with all my info. They send paypal email. You pay. And then they scamper off to cast the heads. Nothing else happens until they announce something on their FB (like the heads are ready to be shipped out so please check mail, that kind of thing).

 

Most of the places are closed on the weekends. If you have not got your invoice yet, you'll probably get it on Monday.

 

@MaryamDN: I mean the current Christmas event. And they are having their Facebook head right now.
By the way - wasn't there shortly also a anniversary event? At which you could get tiny dolls to choose from for the last time? I think this is quite a lot...but they will handle it, I am sure.

 

Really digging that evol body for martin. Cant wait to get his body XD.
Was tempted to get debora as well but her ears threw me off. Same with my friend XD. Plus I really dont need another flouting head for my hubby to scold me for XD

Same. Deborah would be nice, but I can't be bothered with the modding that would ensue. Thankfully I don't have any floating heads (any more), though! The head is much more easy to display when you have at least somesort of a holder for it. Personally I can never get the heads to sit "straight", so had to get quite creative with the Martin I got from the previous event...

Nicolas does look kind of interesting! He definitely has a lof of character. I'm not into the optional chest part, but they seem to offer the doll without it too... hmm... this one might have to be added to the "perhaps some day"-list..-

 

I have to agree that Nicolas have something and with some modding on his eyebrows I can imagine him in my crew. But well First I'm saving money for Azaela, Plaice and a body for John.

 

The eyebrows definitely limit the characters that would suit the doll. I kind of like the grumpy face though. It also looks like the lips would be textured, which is nice. I wonder if the supermodel line is limited.... because if it is, I may have to reshuffle my doll plans a bit to get a shot with a plain white Nicholas.

 

They said on the Facebook page that the head is $80

 

We're a bunch of enablers, we should probably look into group therapy.

Me, too! The only reason for me (well next to no money) for not trying him are those eyebrows. But maybe they only apear that deep because the blushed the hell out of it. They should upload pictures of the blank head for every mold...

 

Hey guys.
So I got a LUTS SD Head and I was kind of wanting to use an Impldoll body for it (Since, let's face it, Impldoll is way more affordable than other SD bodies) and I was wondering what size body would be best. Especially keeping in mind that I want the neck to fit.

Does anyone have any suggestions or LUTS/Impldoll hybrids?

 

I asked Impldoll and Nicholas doesn't seem to be limited... whew. That means I can save up for Tony first, them either Nicholas or a female doll... or a poseable direwolf. Either way, saving up first.

 

That's the loophole I've used... Which is how I've acquired the questionable habit of ordering at last a couple dolls in the last week of December

 

Waah, I just can't stop looking at Nicolas. He looks so interesting and different. I am afraid he will find a way to sneek into my Avengers group...and into my heart.

Oh dear, Impldoll just sent me a pic of his blank head. Honestly, I am sold. I need him.

And I asked them whether I am allowed to post his pic in a forum.

 

I agree with uminari and Ipledreamer, Blank head pictures should be shown for every doll, also side view profiles. Front face only or slightly turned just does not give you the full picture. It would be great if ImplDoll would do this for us!

 

I am sorry, I seem not be able to post the blank head pic (I have asked Impldoll if I am allowed to, and they were okay with it). I have it only as a PDF. Can anybody help me? If not, please PM me so that I can email you the pic (I need your email-address). Or you could also ask Impldoll, they will send you the pic (if they are clever, they could post this on their website).

And regarding getting him...I tried to talk myself out of him, but overnight he became a fully fleshed out character and integrated himself into my Avengers team. Grrr...bad guy.

But it will be a while, as the two Idol bodies for Thor and Captain America have to come first.

And whoooo I'm not completly sold to Nicolas. But Impldoll shared a John on their instagram (+法皇之森+ on Instagram: “ #bjd #impldoll” ) and wow I looking forward to getting mine home and face upped

 

Aghhh that Nicholas... goddammit, I wasn't supposed to get any non-main-party dolls...
I'll need to find a way to incorporate him in to the existing characters somehow.

Then again, I seem to be accumulating a secundary crew of curious critters anyway, so it hardly seems like that desicion is keeping anyways. Dammit.

Yep. I think I'll wait until the DC Cyril I ordered gets here and then see if I could make Nicholas their brother, or uncle or father... or something. A lot of it's going to get down to the faceup though. I usually have a rough idea where any new doll would fit (if they're related to someone, or are someone's friend and so on), but the specifics are formed only when I get the doll with me and see how they work.

 

Another question: How does the 2-part Idol body work? I am particularly interested in the chest joint (which is the only real difference, I suppose?). I imagine Nicolas to be some kind of renaissance guy, so I want to look really good with bare chest.

 

I like the bags under his eyes!
