IMPL dolls Star, Model and Idol Discussion thread Part 6

Jan 16, 2015

    1. more Dante (impldoll Marcus) spam! finally got this regal trio in a group picture.

this photo-shoot had so much potential... then my camera decided it hates natural light and can only function in studio lighting....so there went all the potential!
i'm posting the picture anyway -____-

    2. I really like you photo MaryamDN, are those costumes bought or did you make then you self?

    3. ^.^ i'm glad you like them! i make all their outfits myself. the reason i love this hobby is because i love making their wigs and clothes and faceups...and absolutely adore making accessories :) i love making unique stuff for them.

    4. Pardon the text on his mug! ^_^ My Joshua is now named Jack, and I'll have to pick some other sculpt (maybe an MSD) to be my persocom. I got him a shorter red wig, the long brown one seemed like it'd be a hassle toting him around in.

After some discussion/brainstorming with my husband, we came up with a story that will include most of the dolls I have (and ones on the wishlist) in it. My SD guys run an orchard that produces hard cider! The older ones are off on a trip, so currently only Jack is home to run the orchard. So, as I add to my collection, more people join the story.

We came up with this because I just got an (ot for this thread) faun, and they are creatures known for partying & brewing. A farm/orchard seemed like a good setting to tie in fantasy dolls & gives the SD guys an excuse for staying in shape.

    5. love your 'gang' MaryamDN - you are they type of creative person bjd were made for I think! I will try and motivate myself this New Year - although no way I'm attempting wig making (and my faceup skills are nil too)

ArtsyLaurie that's an interesting story ^_^ I've never made a story for my dolls - I'm too lazy again LOL

As this is a new thread, I'll spam an old photo of Richard (impl Tony) - oh I really need to get my act together and be more creative!

    6. Yay new thread! Which of course means lots of new thread spam! :love

MaryamDN your boys look amazing! That's a really great photo. Sorry to hear that your camera's playing up, though. Sometimes mine responds better to studio lighting as well, for some unknown reason. I think maybe it's because studio lighting is a lot more consistent and unchanging than natural light can be sometimes, but who knows?

It's good to see Richard again, elve! Old photos are still good photos. :)

Congrats on your boy getting a name, ArtsyLaurie! I saw him and your other little guy Maple on your flickr. I really like the colour of that wig on Jack. Also, the story concept is great! hehe my Zach says he highly approves. ;)

Zach is still celebrating New Year's, or Aubrey's arrival, or...something. He really doesn't need much of an excuse. ;)

    7. SapphireStargazer; Drake says "Hey" to Zach! (Aubrey as well, but he doesn't really know Aubrey yet.) Drake is waving his bottle of Jose Cuervo Tequila, and shouting "Salud!" None of these guys need an excuse to party.....like you said. Great photo, as usual. We have some of those same chairs. They really fit the Idols well.

MaryamDN; Your dolls and costumes are outstanding, as usual!

      Elve:
When is Richard going to get a new shirt? He is so handsome, he needs new clothes. I thought you were ordering him some? Or you were going to sew for him? (Don't mind me, I'm just giving you a hard time to tease you.) I'm always saying I'm going to sew for my dolls, and I never get around to it.

ArtsyLaury; Jack is looking good! (Love the mug!)

    8. LOLLLLL Grouchy Gnome :XD: you are sadly too right - I have been looking at sewing patterns today (human ones) and yes I will I will I WILL make him a new shirt soon....when I've bought the pattern....and the fabric....and figured out how to make the pattern fit him (admin sadly deleted all the old sewing pattern threads, including the one I made on resizing human patterns - can I remember how I did it??)

Great pic of Zach SapphireStargazer :D Not only does Richard have no clothes, he has no props or furniture either - for shame! :blush

    9. elve wigs are the easiest to make >.< compared to sewing new clothes and making the props...i'd pick wigs any day. it takes me about an hour to make a hard cap fitted wig with faux fur. loose hair is much more time-consuming and i wouldn't do it unless i had the perfect hair (not to mention natural fibres are more expensive <.<), i would make a tutorial...but if i commit i dont know when i'll get a chance. but really it's just a matter of covering your doll head with 2 layers of paper towel, securing it with an elastic band and figuring out where you want your hair line. then cutting patches of for faux fur and using hot glue on the whole back surface of the fur and securing it on. once it's all cooled you just pop it off the doll head, take away the extra paper towel, and you got yourself a fitted wig. and yes i love this hobby because i feel like i can use a large range of my art to prepare my doll :)

SapphireStargazer thank you :) your man is looking quite fine as always. question, are his eyes modified? they look more open then other gnaenuses.

Grouchy Gnome: thank you so much :) i'm glad you like them

    10. Thanks Grouchy Gnome! Zach says "Hey" to Drake as well. He would love to introduce Aubrey properly to everyone, but Aubrey seems increasingly unhappy and self-conscious about his lack of a faceup and "simply does not wish to be seen in such a state of disarray!" Poor Aubrey...he still doesn't have his proper clothes either. He seems very resentful of Reid and Liam going to the artist again, and has absolutely no sympathy for their misfortune. We may have some problems around here when those two get back....
I got that chair at a yard sale and I have absolutely no idea of its origins. I've seen quite a few like it in other people's photos around the forum, and I wish I knew how to get another one. This one is Aubrey's, but I think Miss Scarlett might like to have one as well (now that she's getting a body lol).
In other seating-related news, my father is making a loveseat for Gabriel & ร‰lise. :aheartbea We were joking around that it's going to be their 'anniversary' present, since they won't be getting it until May when we go to the Moncton Doll Show. Last year when I went to the show with my crew we stayed in a hotel. That's what we're now referring to as Gabriel & ร‰lise's 'honeymoon' as it was the first time they stayed together in a hotel. :love Dad and I are both going to sell our handmade items at the Moncton Doll Show this year (his furniture and my jewelry), and Dad is going to have examples of stuff that people can commission him for. The loveseat he's making for my lovebirds is going to be the prototype for future loveseats. :love

Thank you elve! These particular props are easy. The glass is a small shot glass and the rum is a real 'stocking stuffer' bottle of rum (and yes...it's really Coke in the glass lol).

MaryamDN, Zach's eye openings are bigger than other Gnaeus' eyes. At least, they're bigger than Gabriel's. I didn't mod him; he was like that when I got him. Since eye openings are cut post-casting, I'm not surprised there's some variation in eye opening sizes between dolls of the same sculpt, but with Zach it's actually quite noticeable. You can see the difference in their eye openings in this pic:

Gnaeus x2 by SapphireStargazer, on Flickr

    11. SapphireStargazer: strange! i think if it had been me i would have freaked out if my doll arrived not looking like the advertised picture, but in his case it actually works really well. it gives them 2 distinct looks despite the fact that it's actually the same sculpt.

    12. MaryamDN, Neither one of them looked like Gnaeus in the sales pictures on the IMPL site when they arrived, and Gabriel came with chips in his faceup and his head magnets in backwards (the magnets repelled each other). That made me freak out a lot more than the difference in eye sizes. I'm used to weird and random variations in eye sizes on the same sculpt, as I've got quite a few Resinsoul dolls and that seems to be a Resinsoul thing. :doh The difference in eye opening sizes between my two Resinsoul Songs is so drastic that one of them wears 12mm eyes and the other one wears 14mm. At least Gabriel and Zach can both wear 12mm eyes. :)

    13. that is truly strange o.O i've never noticed eye size differences in any dolls O.O it's such a short coming on the company's part, the shape of the eye really changes the face, a lot!

    14. oh I didn't realise eye openings were cut post-casting (never gave it a thought to be honest!) I've never checked to see if they're the same as the company shots on any of my dolls - I'll have to look now! I think it's good they have a different look to each other SapphireStargazer - like twins there's just a slight difference which gives them personality ^_^

Those small chairs are very easy to find on ebay though (at least in the UK they are) Just search ebay on 'bear chair' or 'doll chair' and sometimes you'll find some real beauties in many different styles ^_^

MaryamDN that sound like a good tutorial thank you! I really like the look of fur wigs - can you buy small offcuts though as opposed to by the yard?

    15. MaryamDN I agree. My two RS Songs have totally different facial "expressions" because of their wildly different eye openings. It does work out for them, fortunately, since the one who has the wide-open eyes is supposed to be much younger. The big eyes work for him. My biggest problem with RS in particular isn't the variation between eye sizes in dolls of the same sculpt, but the variation in eye sizes on the same doll. Resinsoul is noted for cutting one eye bigger than the other. I've got a couple like that. :doh I do think it is a shortcoming of the company though, not to be able to get the eye openings cut in a reasonably consistent manner. IMPL does seem to have quite a few Quality Control issues. Still, considering the price of these dolls, I'm willing to overlook some things. They really do engineer their dolls splendidly and the resin quality is excellent. They're great value for money, in my opinion.

Thanks for the tip about the chairs elve! The rattan chairs I've got are all from thrift shops or yard sales, but now I'm going to check eBay for some Idol-sized ones. :)

    16. You know, I've never noticed any difference in the size of the eyes with my RS boys and I have 2 MSDs and 3 tinies. Then again, I'm REALLY not the best judge of things like that because of the prosop. I have a doll by IS and apparently his top lip is uneven. I never noticed and it was the face-up artist who told me. I actually have a hard time telling that it is despite being told so....

I'm quite pleased with my OT for this thread Impl. As you mentioned, SapphireStargazer, the feel of the resin is very nice with a good weight to it and the engineering well done. Malachite is green and the colour is simply gorgeous. I'm not sure if it's a special green they did or the type of resin they used (he's the Colourful Life Simon) but it has this wonderful almost creamy tone to it. I'm also deeply in love with his transparent green ears and fingers.

    17. Maybe you got lucky with your Resinsoul dolls Iron_Dog. ;) I have 17 Resinsoul dolls and there is a lot of variation in eye sizes. My Seng that I had, he had one eye opening noticeably bigger than the other. Both my Wus have that problem as well. I'm dying to see how IMPL does with the colour-matching. I should already have ordered that colour-matched body for my Long, but...stuff happened and I ended up buying a body for another floating head instead. At least I know with IMPL the quality of the resin will be excellent, but I'm very curious as to how the colour will come out. :)

    18. to be honest i never by my fur from the local fabric retailer, they're ridiculously overpriced. i work with fur a lot lately and if i were to pay for the yard of fabric i'd be bankrupt. what i do is go on Ebay and search for fur leg warmers or collars. for example if you type "brown leg warmer" or "white fur collar" into the Ebay search engine it'll pull up a great selection of excellent quality fur. then i just take the leg warmer or collar apart and use the fur. usually i can make more than just one project with a pair of leg warmers, the wig on my dolls are made entirely out of scraps i have left over form other projects. i'll do my best to make a tutorial and post the link here. i think every doll owner should be able to make their own wigs if they ever need to. for me, apart from just enjoying the whole process of making things for my dolls, the prices for alternatively buying them on line is restrictive. i just cant justify spending the same amount on doll clothes as i would on my own O.O especially the kind of outfits i look for, they tend to be non-existent or just really expensive.

SapphireStargazer: i must have been on Mars. two years in the hobby and i have never heard of anything like this. it's good to know! but you're right, to this day nothing matches the posing ability of Dante. it's kind of sad, considering i have dolls twice and three times his price <.< and they cant hold a pose (sometimes they can barely stand!!!!!!! every time i do a photo shoot Dante is waiting around for an hour patiently while the other guys keep toppling on top of each other and acting like a bunch of drunkards!

O.o maybe i'm like you and i just cant really tell, all the dolls i see look the same unless the difference is huge i wont notice (between the same dolls i mean) but yor faceup artist should be able to reduce the asymmetrical look through colour and shading on the lips. not much you can do for variation in eye size!

    19. ohhhhhhh that is so clever with the fur stuff MaryamDN - I never would have thought of doing that in a million years :XD:

And yes my dolls clothes have all cost more than my own clothes - and their shoes too! I even spent ยฃ60 on a dress for a doll last year - totally CRAZY!!! And now I can't afford to heat my house - well DUH! :doh

    20. Quick question... Is the posing consistently great between the Star, Model and Idol sizes? Love the sculpts of the bodies!

    21. Hi everyone ^-^ I finally bought Dorisy! I've been eying her for over a year, but somehow, other dolls kept getting priority. I'm very excited for her arrival <3

    22. Angel toast (who is awesome and has painted something like 75% of my boys) did the face-up on Sarojin (the IS doll) and unless you know and are looking closely at him, you can't really see anything off about his lip. Or so people tell me.

I have a form of face-blindness called prosopamnesia from my first TIA stroke. I am literally unable to remember people's faces because the neural pathways in my brain that do that don't function properly. When I see someone, to me, it's like they're wearing a mask over the majority of their face or have all of their face blurred out except for the feature I'm directly looking at (usually the eyes). To give an even better example, I sort of see people as the Lume Doll Zero (an OT doll for DoA and one I dearly wish I'd been able to buy *sigh*). I can recognize my own dolls but that is due more to their styling than anything else. I won't be able to recognize the exact same sculpt if it's blank or has a face-up different from mine (almost all have custom face-ups so....).

    23. Dorisy is awesome. I love mine. Now if I could just figure out how to put all her lose drums together into 1 cohesive drumset lol. I look forward to seeing what you do with your Dorisy.

    24. Congrats on your Dorisy! hehe I think most of us have that issue where other dolls keep bumping dolls who have been on teh wish list for a while. :XD: Looking forward to seeing your Dorisy!

      Zach says hello:

The Midnight Hour by SapphireStargazer, on Flickr

    25. i've been very happy with the ability of my Impldoll idol to pose, maintain a pose and balance. I own dolls from akagidoll, island doll, dollshe, etc... none have matched my impldoll in terms of the ease of posing. i cant speak for the model or star.

arg, i know what you mean!!!!! i dont spend on clothes or shoes but in the last month i managed to purchase 2 dolls and completely empty my bank account and part of my saving X.X and now i'm paying for it! such stupidity!!!!!! and i hope i learn from this X.X i dont want my hobby to control my life and right now it has caused a fair amount of financial stress which sort of effects my whole life...so i'm going to be in doll rehab for a long while until i learn my lesson!

oh wow! that kind of cool and overwhelming at the same time! usually when one sense fails another will tend to somehow replace it, do you find that? i know a lot of amazing artist with the craziest conditions that you'd never be able to tell from their work! it's always inspiring to see how the cope and work with their condition.
i myself have a visual impairment, apparently i have very poor depth perception because of my astigmatism... but i don't really notice it myself until i'm working on a small 3D surface, like when i used to do barbie repaints...or when i run into objects, like walls or poles ( -___- it does happen)
i've seen some of angel toast's works on flicker. she's got a very clean and smooth style. very soft and pretty looks.
O.o thats strange that hes off topic! wonder why!
      i love lumedoll Bellatrix [IMG]

    26. SapphireStargazer, Wow what a hunk! Zach is smoldering :love

    27. I love Dorisy's face Arekushia - she's so cute! Looking forward to seeing your version of her too ^_^

Zach is hot hot HOT SapphireStargazer - good job too as it's sooooo cold here today! (Yes I know - the UK does not know what REAL cold weather is!) ^_^

MaryamDN I've already cleared out my savings account, and with no spare income now I will have to sell a doll to buy a doll - which is actually not such a bad idea, as I can't really dress or display more than about 10 dolls (and I don't see the point in keeping them in storage - I like to see my pretties!) ^_^ I am almost down to a small group I can't bear to part with though (Richard being one of them - not sure why as I don't feel 'fond' of him exactly - I just think I'd miss having my big guy sitting there - so I threw his box away so I'm definitely not selling him now!) But once the other dollies are gone, they're gone never to be replaced - so I keep 'pruning' my wishlist as I really do want impldoll Sylvia - she's knocking all the small dolls off my list at the moment ^_^

    28. MaryamDN: I've been dealing with prosop for almost 25 years now. I use other things to identify people such as hair colour/style, very prominent features (big nose, bushy eyebrows, etc.), gait, mannerisms and voice. I still have problems identifying people though, especially if I've only met them once before or if I always see them in one place and see them somewhere else. I have passed my own mother and son in the street and not recognized them.

The Lume Zero is not allowed on DoA because his face is "unfinished". It's a little hard to explain fully (google is your friend for this), but I love the idea of having a doll that looks like how I see everybody. Unfortunately, the MSD sized one was limited and long sold out and the 1/6th one was recently discontinued (and I had no cash to buy him when he was available *sigh*). Lume dolls are lovely. I have 2 (Blaze and Koit) and adore them.

    29. Thanks for the comment on Zach's photo Arekushia! :)

Thank you elve! Zach considers it a public service to heat up the place first thing in the morning. :wiggle
also lol...never tell a Canadian how cold you are unless you're really cold. ;) It was -31C here over the weekend. It's quite a lot warmer now; unexpectedly so, in fact, but it's forecast to get cold again within the next few days. Ah winter...gotta love it. :XD:

Iron_Dog, that is fascinating and a little daunting about your prosop. Is your vision fine otherwise? Myself, I am 'legally blind' (which to me is kind of an in-joke because I have low vision and I'm also a lawyer lol). I have almost no vision in my right eye and can only see light and colour with that one. My left eye is better, but I still do not have enough vision in that eye to allow me to drive. It's interesting to me that you recognize people by their gait, voice, hair colour and other features. I do that as well because I can't distinguish fine features at a distance.
Lumedolls are awesome! I adore my little Blaze and would someday love to acquire an Elin as a friend for him. It's too bad Zero is off-topic here. If he wasn't, you might have been able to find one on the secondary market.

    30. SapphireStargazer: I'm very near-sighted. I can't read newsprint held at arm's length at all (it's just squiggly black lines at that point). I'm good to see things clearly about 8" away from my face without my glasses. Beyond that, it's all fuzzy colours. My spatial reasoning is also screwed up due to TIA #2 and I have CPSP (central-post stroke pain) in my left leg from the knee down as well as random bouts of pain in the left side of my abdomen (CPSP will migrate to other parts of the body just because) from TIA #3. I've also got mild weakness in my left arm and leg and if I over-exert myself, I will pay for it the next by limping heavily and dealing with a serious ratcheting up of the constant pain in my leg.

I've looked now and again on Evilbay for Zero but never see him there *sigh*. And yes, Lume's are wonderful dolls.

And to be on-topic, I am determined to save for Rhas-Khan (Impl Ziv) or Eilian (Souldoll Rail) this year. I have wanted to bring these guys home for coming onto 3 years now. I still haven't asked Impl yet about doing a darker than their current grey for him (their current grey is waaaay too light for what I need) but they seem to be very good about doing special colours from what you guys have said. I did ask them if they could do the partially clear hands for him like they did for the Colourful Life Simon I have (because those are wicked cool) but they unfortunately said those were too difficult to cast so they couldn't *sigh*. but they were very nice and polite in their refusal.

    31. Alright I can join! I've been really thinking about getting one of the large guys but haven't decided for sure yet....
May I ask for some posing pictures? (Of course any pictures will do ;) )
Also, is their resin very shiny? Is the quality good? Sorry for all of the questions but I just want to be sure before I order a large guy!

    32. I'm a 3rd year medical Anthropology student at western (hey we're both in Ontario!!! you should totally drop by western university!)so this sort of stuff absolutely fascinates me O.O i love to talk to people about these things because it really highlights the gaps in society where certain issues or conditions are just not addressed appropriately. unfortunately that gap just increases to include more people and more conditions. as for lumedoll, i adore blaze :) he reminds me of SOOM Dia, except with more "asian" features. he's beautiful. lumedoll is amazing at featuring "asian" facial characteristics in their dolls. hmmm, i kinda like the unfinished look. i dont see myself buying it but <.< i dont see it as any less a BJD...it was a stylistic choice on behalf of a very prominent BJD company!

elve i head you! thankfully ive still been able to work alongside school but as i near my final year the work load is getting ridiculous. (our work is very tedious and time consuming since it requires an absurd amount of reading and writing critically). i would love to visit the UK! it's all snow and slush here right now >.> Canada is really all about extremes, extreme cold in the winter, extremely short spring, extremely hot/ short summer, extremely colourful/ short fall! i remedy my spending by just not looking at any more company websites (or Alice's collection)

i sprayed my whole idol with MSC... no more shine <.< i don't really even remember how shiny he was before, but i was doing body blushing anyway, so yay for MSC. i remember seeing some threads about impl's posing next to other company's dolls. if you visit this filickr page, she has a number of impldolls (you have to look a bit i guess but she has them in pictures frequently) https://www.flickr.com/photos/127832659@N02/

SapphireStargazer: i totally missed the picture of your Zach! he looks very handsome dressed up O.O i hate how hard dress shirts are to sew...i did one and ...never again! for now, i refuse to buy one.

    33. So guys did you see the new preview for a new doll? it looks so interesting. Very different from what Impldoll usual. It really look good. I want to see the new body they released as it already looks interesting.

    34. I still love Antonia and Juno. Has anyone removed his fangs? Id love to see him without his fangs!

    35. ooooh I just had a look at that Fush - I think I found a new puppy to play with LOL - is he cute and cuddly, or wierd and scary? ^_^

    36. where is this? I looked on their site but couldn't see anything

    37. It's a soon coming doll.. Werewolf guy. I think it looks really interesting.

    38. It's in the banner at the top of the home page. You know, where that flash player thing is, with the ads that keep changing? It's ad number 1.

I'm not sure how I feel about this guy yet. I'll reserve judgment. I am curious about the "new Idol body" though. hmm...I wonder if they're going to release that before they do a new Star female body?

    39. Thank you - I couldn't see it because I was on my iPad, so no flash player! I just checked him out on my laptop - I am really curious about this sculpt, no doubt they will muck up the makeup so he looks less amazing IRL :(

    40. Yeah, I couldn't see it on my tablet either so I had to go to my computer too. It's sad how the makeup never really seems to look as good IRL. Or at least how it never seems to look the same as in the sales photos. I'm satisfied with Zach's faceup, even though it really doesn't look much like the sales photos of Gnaeus.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they'll do with this guy, though. The sales photo makeup should be interesting to look at, if nothing else.

    41. they are never short of an idea, I will credit them with that. I am excited by this sculpt too. I saw my friend Takhisis's Impldoll boy again at the weekend. I am always tempted to run away with him, he's so damn gorgeous - he has the best facial hair I have ever seen on a doll.

    42. There's absolutely no doubt that the folks at IMPL have some creative minds! It's one of the things I admire about this company. :)

All of Takhisis's dolls are gorgeous! At least the ones I've seen around DoA anyway :aheartbea I think I'd be tempted to run off with one or two myself. ;)
Also, I looove facial hair on dolls. So many bearded cuties. :love Some sculpts just naturally tend toward facial hair, I think.

And some bearded goodness, because I cannot get away from my serial spamming tendencies. :XD:

    43. Handsome! ^_^

I think that werewolf face looks cool, wondering if they'll give him an alternate human head to keep him "on topic" for DoA?

No new news for Jack (Joshua). Theres other stuff I'm supposed to be getting done and I've been putting off some hobby things (doll seweing, video games) while procrastinating on it. Hoping my Alice's Collection order gets finished soon so he can have his stuff out of the order. He's getting white tights, converse sneakers, a belt, boxers, and glasses.

    44. The werewolf is interesting. I like it.

    45. O.O werewolf guy looks kind of cool guys! any thoughts! ...i'm not sure how i feel about the really prominent veins but i like the head sculpt. not something i'd buy but cool either way!

    46. you know i do think the head is on topic since its humanlike as we have all kinds of sculpts on here really. plus we have anthro bodies so why not right. im not worried too much. only thing is the legs. it should hope to have correct joints. other wise nope not on topic. Im itching for this guy XD More I stare more I want.

    47. reminds me now of Ringdoll's new limited werewolf doll! Boyce - he comes with a changeable head (human or wolf) plus changeable hands. It seems vampires have been done to death in the bjd world - now we're moving onto werewolves LOL

I had better give Sapphire's Zach a WOLF whistle then - smartly dressed bad boys look so good! :D

    48. Hi there everyone! I searched the thread for Cymie pictures, but I haven't found any, maybe I overlooked them?

Anyways, anyone have any Cymie spam? My sister really likes her and she's new to the hobby. I'd love to show her some owner pictures. Thanks so much! <3

    49. cutiepie I had to search on Cymie as she's not even listed on impldoll's website! I know she's on Alices Collection but Alice also lists Heloise robot, which has been sold out for years, so it's probably best to email impldoll or leave a message on their website asking about Cymie

    50. Ooooh, thank you so much for your response, elve! I'll message them now. ^_^

    51. New Idol body? I really hope they won't get rid of some things I really like about the existing body...maybe I will have to speed up a bit my Mzzen purchase...

    52. hehe thanks elve! Zach may hate me a little bit now for making him put on a necktie, although Aubrey seems to approve of it. :wiggle Eventually, when Aubrey gets a faceup, I want to do a nice shirt-and-tie photo set with both of them. :)

Ipledreamer, I'm hoping they don't change too much on the "new" Idol body, too. They've already changed the construction of the feet from a two-piece foot and ankle to a singie piece foot. Zach and Gabriel's body, which was made in late 2013, has the two-piece foot. Aubrey's body was made in 2014 and it has the single foot piece. Aubrey's body (the newer one) seems to have a lot more mobility in the lower torso/hip piece as well. It will be interesting to see what the "new" Idol body will be like, especially considering the "old" Idol body really isn't that old and really didn't need too much improving, at least in my opinion.

    53. oh I didn't realise they'd changed it already! What they REALLY need to do though is a smaller bust idol girl - Everyone's main complaint seems to be her gigantic bust!

    54. thanks :blush, as you both luuv him so much :love here is some Josh spam :drool

i'm hoping they wont change the body too much either. i think it's lovely as it is. the male shoulders are a bit awkward in terms of design (the stick out too much) but they function really well and with clothes on you cant tell anyway!

    56. he's so gorgeous Takhisis :D Where did you get that brilliant teeshirt?

    57. sapphire and Takhisis Bad day at work and then I come home to see these two hunks :aheartbea

Impldolls werewolf looks intresting... hopefully they make an human version too!

    59. Takhisis, your Josh is fabulous! Did you make his shirt?

Ishtar, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad day at work, but I'm pleased the photos could cheer you up a little. :)

elve I think you're right about the Idol female body. Even if they made an option part that people could choose if they wanted an idol female with a smaller bust, that would be good. When I look at the Idol female body, it just seems so massive and Amazonian to me. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I think she'd just look huge next to the boys. My biggest girl is 68cm and she's very willowy and graceful, but she still looks very tall next to the 70-72cm boys. I just got a Souldoll Zenith body, which I love. It's 64cm and is the perfect height next to the Idol men. :)

Uminari that photo of Malik is amazing! :aheartbea

Tee & shorts are homemade (originally for my EID) the tee is a bit big in the shoulders hence the rolled sleeves.
