Reason for choice:

I was so charmed by that half-smirky, half-serene face! I don't buy fantasy dolls, and I'd sworn off getting minis for good... but DV made a human version of Achelous ~Lost in the Vortex~ so I just had to make an exception for this lil critter. I picked DV's tallest 1/4 body so it can fit in with my all-1/3 crew.

Best Points:

Look at that smiiiiirk. And I adore the body, which has everything I want in a BJD - graceful, willowy, androgynous, an outstanding poser with expressive hands.

Worst Points:

The chest joint is a bit limited in posing, in an otherwise versatile body. I always wish it had a 3-part torso.

עָנָףיאל​

The anpiel, protector of birds.

Whimsical, mischievous, shrewd.
It has no bird aspect, and its season is high winter.

This little critter showed up right before Vallant awoke, and they are now inseparable.
A lovable little scamp that has no name and little sense of self. It clings affectionately to everyone and makes mischief wherever it goes. But we think that the fables are true - the fool is the wisest one of all, and immense power hides in small vessels.

It is a protector's duty to keep an eye on all its wards. What a handful they are! They really need your care. They seem quiet and biddable, but actually must be obstructed. They understand the boundaries, yet need to be monitored. They don't understand that boundaries exist for good reasons, and have to be chivvied back into place. But others are easy to manage: they will stay on mission, they won't stray from the rules. And some must be left to their own devices at all costs, no matter how much of a nuisance they are.

No problem! Whatever mischief the house comes up with, it's nothing compared the trouble you already deflect from outside the bounds. You're a protector and there's so much to be done -- but hey, it's fun to be up in everyone's business.
