Sewing What are you currently sewing for your BJD Vol 11

May 3, 2015

    1. Well it looks like it's going to work just fine, so there's nothing to be nervous about.

    2. MoomaBJD I think you did a great job and working with brocade can be quite tricky!

    3. Thank you @Teddy and @elfstone

Got the sleeves done - that was pretty wild, but now its going pretty smoothly. I quite surprised and VERY pleased.

About 2/3 finished. Mostly straight seams and hems left to go.

    7. Need to get to work sewing up undies, tights, and socks for my gang.

    8. Greg-kagawa - lovely outfit and perfect for the season!

Here's a little progress on my MSD Ren ensemble. I'm now working on the cap for her hair.

    9. Very pretty!!

    10. No pics but I'm struggling with a coat for my IH Zera ~sigh~ The fabric drapes beautifully but is very fiddly - I just had to rip out the underarm area for a gore cause :( and of course got a snag ~grrrr~ I'll post pics when done!

    11. Thanks MoomaBJD!

    12. I've been a bit ill for the last week or so and gotten only a few things done but I did finish the gijinka outfit for Devon. The jumpsuit is a larger version of the one I made for Chael's performance outfit.

    13. Hope you're feeling better now. That's a wild costume and I love it!

    14. Thank you! It was a fun thing to do.
I'm doing much better, thanks, just have a lingering cough.:vein

    15. Actually, I made a wee bumroll by hand the same day I posted that! It's for a YoSD-sized doll, though, not an SD.

    16. My goodness but you are a talented lot! Scrolling through these photos has been delightful, everything looks so great! I adore the quilts, and the bustle!

I finally found some use for a strip of lace I've had for ages, and made a couple of things for Aurora. No good photo of the skirt, but it hits about mid-knee, and has the same scalloped edge. Everything is hand sewn, as my machine needs repairs :sweat

    17. Nice. I love the lace and the colors are great!

    18. Thank you! It was a lot of fun to make, and now that Aria is home as well, and I have more material after a thrift and craft store run, I can finally start making more things too! I'll be here a bunch :D

    19. XkytsuneX: There are amazingly talented people here and they are very helpful. If you have a question regarding sewing anything you may be battling with, someone will answer you.

      I love your outfit.
