Saber Artoria turned up today.

She won't be getting dressed for a while, and I'm a bit scared of staining with all of the dark colours.

I would also be interested to know how well DDS generally fits into SD clothing, I'm waiting for Karin at the moment and obsessively looking at clothes for her.

Congrats everyone! My girl is out for delivery! I have to go out soon so I hope I don't miss her!

 

I just placed my deposit for 2B and 9S! Just wanted to share my excitement.

 

@DemonMiko Congrats! I just put my 2B deposit in, too. I’d love to get 9S eventually but I can only afford one for now.

 

I'm tempted by 9S, especially since there is the option of a down payment. I'd really like to have a male DD. Fortunately, there's a nice long preorder period, so I can see how much money I have available after my vacation trip next week. Congrats to those who have preordered!

 

Things may change, but as of now I'm only interested in 9S for the head. I don't have much interest in a male DD, but the head looked like it would make a perfect Violet Evergarden.

 

Congratulations on the new servants! I will preorder next week my first DDy 2B ^^

in the included items section for 9s and 2b it says ‘hand parts with gloves’ does anyone know if this means that the gloved hands are one piece? or seperate gloves and hands?

i feel like they are probably one piece because it is specifically mentioned that they included details like the wrinkles on his gloves, so i can only assume they are sculpted as one piece. just hoping that someone might have more insight !!

I want 9S so bad omg but I reallllly need to be selling dolls right now, not buying them. But omg.

 

I'd expect that it is one piece.

The Saber I just got has normal hands and feet and armored hands and feet, so I'd imagine that this is the same.

 

Got my deposit for 2B in! Now I just have to decide before the preorder ends if I want/can afford 9S as well.

Looking at the way the Japanese version is phrased, I think the gloves and hands are one piece. Especially since the notes state that they come with basic hands in addition.

 

I put my deposit down for 2B and 9S! I know they won't be home for over a year, but I'm so stoked!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

 

I've put in my orders for 2B and 9S! They will be my first Dollfies and I can't wait for the day when I get my androids!

 

Just curious, for any of you that received your Saber, did you have a tough time putting her feet/legs together. I found it difficult to the black parts of her aperture/skeleton into her shins. My Saber is a bit taller I think ...

 

I don't have a Saber, but I believe someone on the Dollfie Dreams forum was having this problem. I'll copy and paste what Wolf and baldylox mentioned:

I think an email to Volks about this oversight would be a good idea too! I'm thinking that it's not necessarily a tight fit but it's the air pressure and the fact that the air has no where to escape too. On the regular legs/feet, the screws and seams provide an avenue for the air to escape but on the black ones, the air pressure continues to build.

 

Bitten my nails and ordered Dollfie Dream Dynamite 2B / YoRHa No.2….... I don't know I will like Saber... I might selling her later for the same price I bought. Maybe not selling.. .Will see more pics of her before I display Saber. She is still in her box.

It's going to be a nice, long wait for 2B and 9S... But it's so exciting that this collaboration happened!

I have not tried, but it looks beautiful. I have a dress for the MSD from Volks, which is dressed in a MDD and it is large at the waist, but the situation is corrected by a bow, which can be tightened further. If you are not sure of the size, it is better to check with the seller whether they are compatible or not.

 

Question! Does anyone know if you can change your deposit to full payment before the end of the preorder period? I placed the deposit for 2B and 9S, but now I'm thinking it'll be a better idea to just finish paying it now rather than wait.

 

No idea, but if you used VolksUSA, they are very responsive to customer inquiries. They'll likely respond in the same business day, or maybe the next.

Loving everyone's girls, they are all gorgeous!

I got my Dollfie Dream Dynamite on Monday - my first DD ever - and I adore her, but I'm having trouble with her right leg. It didn't seem particularly loose at first but after posing her a few times it is really floppy at the hip, to the point that it keeps falling off. I don't see any cracks in the inner plastic, it just seems like the peg is slightly too small for the hole and so there's not enough grip. (Her other leg is fine.)

I'm thinking of trying to build up some layers of superglue on the peg to increase the diameter a little and see if that works. But since she's brand new, should I be contacting Volks instead? I'm a bit sad to be having issues with my new girl when I was so excited for her.

 

I'm only very new to DDs, so bear that in mind. Some of the joints on newer bodies have screws at various joints to adjust tension. This might help.

If you need to make a peg thicker -- not that I've tried it but apparently clear nail polish is the thing to use. Just make sure it has plenty of time to cure before using it.

 

Those are really good tips @Leiothrix! And thank you @deinosor for asking that. I'm also fairly new to DDs and I've noticed my DDS body doing this thing where the top and bottom halves don't really want to stay together. On minute she's standing and I'll go to adjust, forget to pick her up by the bottom, and only pick up half the doll...

I mean I had a hunch this was coming but so soon? Why Volks? I can't just have one without the other... But I don't have the space. I definitely need that school uniform tho...

 

I also just saw the new Sailor Moon dolls and I really want Sailor Mars! They are being released so soon, so I hope I will be able to fit her into my budget.

 

This right here when I don't have any extra money Volks brings these lovely DDS that I cannot afford to get. Was crushed when I could not get Sailor Moon and now this.....this is just too much...

 

Mars and Mercury are both so lovely, I prefer them to the Moon doll (although she was so cute, too!). I will try my best to bring Mercury, my favorite senshi, home!

 

I guess this means we can expect the other Sailor scouts and characters to possibly make an appearance over the next couple of Dolpas or several years ...

 

Damnit Volks it's hard to say no to Mercury, but I still need to order 9S and then there's the Rose of Versailles dolls.

 

Ugh... So many doll announcements in such a short period of time. Luckily, I wasn't much of a Sailor Moon fan girl, but if they announce Cardcaptor or something I'm so very dead.

*Glances at 2B and 9S order* Nope, gotta be good.

 

On the plus side my Kaede Takagaki arrived Wed. I hope to get some photos today.

 

I really love Mercury's expression. I think she'd look cute as Sailor Moon. Fingers crossed they'll release the outer senshi too. I'd die for an official Pluto DD.

 

Man, I'm not a Sailor Moon fan, but I really like Sailor Mars. But I also wanted 9S. I can't get both. And really, I shouldn't get either, since I have an expensive trip coming next year. Sigh--what to do?

 

I do hope this is the case! I would gladly add Sailor Saturn to my collection if they decided to make them all. She's my absolute favorite, so I would definitely like to see them continue making more.

 

I'm dying at the thought of a Neptune and Uranus. Meanwhile my wallet:

 

Okay so we can assume Volks will be doing all the Sailor Scouts then, what about Tuxedo Mask?

 

Now that I think about it, Tuxedo Mask would be really interesting to see!

I haven't been a fan of the SM dolls so far, but if they do Pluto or Saturn I might be doomed.

 

I'll rob a bank if they do Pluto or Uranus, those two are my favorite from the Sailor Moon verse!

 

I'm both looking forward to and dreading Mars and Mercury, as well as any other sailor soldiers to follow. I had made up my mind to sell my Moon, but now I want all three.

 

I ordered my first DD head yesterday as an early Christmas gift for myself! It's a custom DDH-09. I haven't touched the doll hobby with money for like a year now, and I just got out of two awful jobs in a row, so I decided to treat myself lol. I almost went with 2B for my first DD but the year-long wait is too much for me. Looking forward to seeing everyone elses' twobees when they're in, though!

@TomB She's soooo beautiful!! Her face has so much more personality in your photos than in the official promo photos. And her costume is so high quality! I'd love to see photos of her in casual clothes if you end up getting some for her.
