Really? Mine were terrible on the collage because it just made them even smaller. I mean, they were fine (but tiny) when you looked at the collage normally, but try to zoom in and it turns into a pixely mess. No way to see details there!

But everyone is in the same boat with photo size, so I guess it doesn't really matter. I'm sure it's done that way for a reason!

I want to see the outfits! I feel like I did an absolutly wrong dress ^^" but only rule was under 20 $ which I managed without problems. Spend no dollar thanks to my massive fabric stash. Plus I could finally find a use for this pretty fabric I buyed for a cosplay 5 years ago but never made

 

So I submitted my entry last night, but the tread disappeared this afternoon, is that supposed to happen or did I do something wrong? I'm a bit paranoid

 

I feel like I am the same.. hopefully my vision translates for people xD
I didn't spend money and thankfully I am too a fabric hoarder xD

 

I feel the same too; it was kind of a wierd theme to incorporate together, so I just kinda.... did the best I could lol. Im always squeaking in right at the deadline, but Im super excited to see how other people translated the task! Plus, im eager to see the next one XD

 

The same thing happened to me >< I hope it just means the entry got accepted..

Mine just disappeared too, I'm guessing it's the mods starting to get threads ready for voting! I hope so, at least.

 

I understand this is exactly what should happen - we post the thread which is visible only to us and the moderators, and once they approve the entry, it just disappears (which means that we can no longer edit it).

 

Whoop, submitted! Fingers crossed I did everything right. XD Now Ive just got to be patient to see everyone else's!!

Yay! My entry's in. It was all a mad dash as I knew I wouldn't get time to work on it until today, but I got it finished, photos taken, a Collage made and everything uploaded!

Did you use the tutorial posted? You should be able to upload your photos right into your post instead of hosting them offsite!

Submitted! I wasn't sure I'd be able to do the triathalon this year, but I'm very glad I found the time. I've enjoyed them in the past, and I'm looking forward to this one!

 

Holy cow that was a close one. Got everything done, including photos with an hour left to submit and then my computer crashed. On the up side I managed to restore everything in time to submit so...woo hoo!

Woo! We did it!
I'm super happy with the outfit I made. This is definitely something my doll will be adding to their regular wardrobe. I still use parts of a costume I created for last year's competition for another doll.

 

Ugh! My pictures were not to my liking, but I didn't have time to retake them so they'll have to do. Congrats to everyone who got something submitted. I'm looking forward to gawking at everyone's creativity!

 

That's the main reason I entered- a deadline gives me a good kick in the butt to finally make my doll some clothes! I didn't get as much detail in as I'd like, but there will be plenty if time to finish it up after the contest

 

I had one I wanted to retake too, but I'd lost the daylight already and it was too late, lol. I'm glad you got yours taken!

 

Yeah! It's a great motivational point. Heck, even the customisation competition is giving me an excellent excuse to paint up one of my poor, blank floating heads.

 

@Quiet and Insane Same here with the customization contest! I have so many blank heads floating around, and it's been forever since I tried my hand at painting. Thank goodness for contests like this otherwise I'd probably let my poor dolls sit a little longer.

 

I got mine in right under the wire also! I would have liked to do my photos a bit differently as well but I'm happy with the outfit

I'm so nervous about my entry but I can't wait to see how it does and to see everyone else's entries!~ this has been really fun so far and I can't wait to start on the second part of this competition

I've clearly been focusing on this challenge too much! Last night I dreamt that I accidentally uploaded a photo shoot of vinyl play dolls instead of my competition entry and I woke up this morning to find that the mods had made a public post disqualifying me and posting one of my photos to tell everyone else not to be so stupid. When I actually woke up, it took me 10 minutes to realise that even if I had uploaded the wrong photos, the mods wouldn't have done a "name and shame" post for it (and that the play doll photoshoot didn't actually exist!)

I slept so bad (only around 4 hrs) while sewing and also had nightmares xd

 

It really was, but I thought people here might appreciate it!

 

I made the height of my images submitted 600 pixels and I feel like that wasn't correct because when uploaded they were tiny:/ I hope I did it right, I really want to compete

 

As long as that's the largest side, I think you'll be fine?

Oh man everything is gorgeous - yeah I'm infinitely outclassed here... I'm really looking forward to the talk afterwards!

There's so many gorgeous examples; it's going to take a while to narrow it down to a top ten let alone the actual votes.
