Contest Triathlon Round I: Dress for Success

Wow everyone's entries look so good
I don't think I'll be winning anything but it's really great to see all the amazing entries. Good luck to all!

 

Man, that voting was HARD! I had it narrowed down to 8 but choosing 3 from that was so difficult.

I really wanted to vote for myself....but there were so many amazing entries I just couldn't do it. Y'all got mad skills!

 

Ohhh and here I was feeling confident about my entry. I swear every year the bar is raised and all the entries become more amazing than the last!

 

It really is hard to pick just 3 - I started off making notes of the entries I REALLY wanted to vote for & my first list of favourites had 16 entries on it!

 

I looked on the voting and yes I did it right! So phewww!

Come on guys, this is not a challenge set for "the elite only".
Remember that the points are for "Attention to details, Creative use of material and general Aesthetic "

No one is "out of his league" here.
You don't need to be a professional seamstress with a stash full of material scraps to score points in this triathlon; what you need it to use your head and think about how you can score in the different criteria.

Now again, I believe the biggest obstacle in this challenge is the limited time allowed to work everything out, NOT your knowledge in sewing techniques.

Please don't go thinking that your work isn't "worth it".

That's very true. While my entry might not be a winner, it's still something fully functional and sturdy that my doll can wear in the future. Same with one of the outfits I created last year, fully functional and still being used to this day. Oddly motivational really.

 

I don't think there is such a thing as 'elite', everybody just does what they can do best

 

Oh shoot, I just realized that it said that post nr = entry nr. In the first round, I wrote all my votes as 'post number minus 1' (e.g. if I wanted to vote for post nr 2, I wrote entry nr 1).

 

Lots of great props! Everyone is creative.
