Spiritdoll Waiting Room #3

So, in lieu of Ringdoll discontinuing their RGM-01 body, I'm thinking of putting a Spirit Doll Proud body (with parts) in ns on layaway verrry soon here. Oddly, although I've found this here waitlist, I can't seem to find a default Spirit Doll thread (could someone point me in the direction of it, if we've got one)?

Or, specifically, if the 1/3 Spirit Doll resin folks have one (in particular)?

I Ordered Spirit Doll Smart girl body yesterday through Jeeryama Clover Singing.
Is anybody know how long is producing period there currently?
in description from SD website I saw it’s 9-11 weeks. They not delaying ?

Very unexpectedly. But followed promises, 10 weeks of producing period [body only]

 

I think my doll has shipped!!! OMG my breath caught when I read the email!

 

How long have you been waiting? I’ve ordered mine proud body with jointed hands while ago and it’s 10,5 weeks since it got confirmation status.

 

I ordered mine through Clover Singing on June 27th. Recently, Christina told me my doll wouldn't be ready until November. So when I got an email this morning I was shocked! I've asked her to double confirm it's my doll and she just replied yes it's my doll!!

I bought my jointed hands separately from another company though so I'm going to be waiting longer on those. (poor planning!)

Did you get a proud girl v1 body or v2? I was very newbie when I ordered my girl and assumed since v2 sounds newer than v1 it must be better. Later I learned after talking to people that I would probably have preferred v1 as it has a jointed thigh. :P Doh!

 

Ordered a Dolce Gardenia a couple of weeks ago I am hoping she'll be in by Christmas. I've wanted a doll from their Dolce line for years, so I'm excited to get her!

You’ll learn better about what will your preferences about joints be soon, so maybe you’ve chose well. Maybe this one will be better for you. :3 Newer version is not always better than previous. For example, I’ve ordered 68cm body from 2D doll, version v2. They have v3 too, but it looks completely different and, to be honest, I don’t like it.

 

ooooh I ordered a 2D doll too (also 68cm) but I don't remember which body type I ordered!! I guess it'll be a surprise!

 

I received my order at Monday. Totall surprise, cause I haven’t got any notice and I didn’t know it was shipped.
Box arrived without jointed hands which I ordered with body.

Reviving this thread after a little bit! I ordered a blank Snowdrop/Pyrus head directly from Spirit Doll a couple days ago, and after a little trouble with their PayPal not accepting payments, that issue was fixed and my payment went through today. I am very much looking forward to painting my new girl, even if she will arrive several months before her body (or at least I hope so! lol).

Any recent updates from the folks in here? Anybody have news on their current production time?

 

My windflower was ordered June 21, 2020 through Singing Clover and she arrived November 7, 2020.

 

Oh, lovely!! I will have to check out any pictures of her you've got up. I don't have much experience with Spirit Doll yet so I would love to hear what you think of her!

 

She poses pretty well. Now that I have more experience with other companies I can say she's not the best, but she's far from the worst too. Solid stand and great sit, all the basics. I just wish she had a little more range to hold her arms/hands on her own.

Sadly, she didn't match the character I needed her for so she's looking for a new home. But she's very pretty and her resin quality feels great! Also I love her busty chest and the way her heeled feet have no joints at the ankle for really attractive legs in heeled shoes!

 

Aw, I know that feeling! Hopefully you can find someone who fits her better. That is nice to hear though, I always find resin quality the most important factor for me really loving a doll. I only got a head this time, so we will have to see how well she poses on the Xaga body. Hybrids really are an adventure haha! Windflower is a very pretty sculpt, I can see why you were taken with her. I first became aware of Spirit Doll through those huge 1/2 dolls which were quite a shock to me as I wasn't aware they made BJDs in that scale! And those dolls looked so absolutely haunting, I really became enamored with their sculpts. Snowdrop reminds me a bit of some Unoa sculpts, in a way, not sure how to explain but there is this quality to her face I'd only seen in Unoa dolls and I was ecstatic to find it in another one since Unoa is so hard to get a hold of these days!

 

I ordered an Elegance boy body about a week ago through Spiritdoll's Taobao but I was told that sometimes the wait is more than 6 months
Hopefully it'll be closer to the 1-2 months that both their Taobao and international site state but I guess I'm in for the long run lol.

 

Received jointed hands already! (Like 4 weeks ago, but I forgot to write it here). Didn’t have to pay for shipping, so it’s really fair. And I noticed that the contact with them is better now, they replying much faster than before.

I really recommend proud jointed hands, they’re looks amazing and works pretty good too.

 

I ordered a Spiritdoll Elegance boy body through Legenddoll and they said it'll take 10-12 weeks to ship it. So I'm in for quite a wait.

 

My Elegance boy body made it to my shopping service 2 days ago. I believe I ordered March 16th, so it was right around the two month mark for me.

 

I ordered a Spiritdoll Proud v1 body through Dolk, I started the layaway on April 14th and paid it off on June 16th. I haven't heard anything about when I can expect it to arrive though, I asked them when I started the layaway if they ordered it when I sent the first payment, or only after I've paid everything, and they didn't actually say definitively lol. So we'll see if I'll have to wait 2 weeks or 3 months.

Does anyone happen to have owner pics of Holly (or Ivy) btw? I think he's sooo cute and ugly, like a baby hippo. I want him to be my first boy doll

 

Ordered Cherry from LegendDoll on April 28th, and she just arrived today (8/17). Seems like a decent turn around.

She's only my second BJD (my first was Hedy from Doll Leaves). The detail is exquisite (the hands in particular are extremely cute!) She's a bit looser strung than Hedy, but poses extremely well.

Hope you all get your dolls sooner rather than later!

 

Got my elegance body in a few weeks ago after being in EMS limbo, but the color wasn’t a match like I’d been expecting, so now I have a color matched elegance body on order. I shipped out a headcap for them to match yesterday, so I’m considering that the start date for the order. They say it doesn’t take any additional time in the casting process once they receive the part they’re matching to, so here’s to hoping their 2 month estimate still applies once it arrives!

The elegance boy body is one of the nicest bodies I’ve handled and I’m really looking forward to having it in the perfect color!

 

Picked up my Spiritdoll Proud v1 body from the post office this week! It's beautiful, and very heavy! Great posing, with more flexibility than any of my other bodies (though I do prefer Maskcat for its smoothness and stability). I'll post a resin comparison for on the main Spiritdoll thread, in case anyone's interested.

 

Just ordered a Spiritdoll Dolce Brume!! I wonder if the wait will be longer than the 2 months everyone else here has been experiencing, since he's so big

 

Hi to everyone I want to ask how I can order from them? An error pops up on the site and there is no reply by email

 

You can order through a dealer like CloverSinging, or if you're familiar with Taobao you can order from their shop there. Even with their markup, CloverSinging is probably about the same price as their Taobao because they offer free shipping. If you need custom resin color matching though, you'd have to do it through their Taobao.

 

My Holly shipped on November 29th, and since then it's just been bouncing around China I've read that this is happening a lot with Chinese EMS atm, but I'm really hoping it won't be too much longer before it at least leaves the country.

 

Chinese EMS is a mess right now
Fedex for my body was only $10 more than I paid for my last Spiritdoll body (an exorbitant amount due to box size/shape T_T) to be shipped via EMS, which took 2.5 months to arrive. So it felt like an IQ test and I just paid up since it'll hopefully get here within a week or two even during the holiday shipping rush.
Mine's on the way home! I hope yours shows up ASAP.

 

I just picked up my WS Holly w/ a company faceup from the post office! I ordered him on August 3rd, 2021 through Taobao. It arrived to 42agent on November 26th, 2021 (3 months and 23 days). It shipped with EMS on November 29th, then spent a few weeks bouncing around China. He arrived to me today, January 3rd, 2022 (5 months).

I'm planning on filming an unboxing of him tomorrow, I'll post it on the main thread if/when I upload it!

 

My Spiritdoll Brume has just been shipped, ordered him 2 Nov, so really happy with the production time!! Now let's see how long it'll take for him to arrive, since I didn't have the option to upgrade shipping so I'm stuck w/ EMS (have been waiting on another parcel for a month and a half now )

Ordered my first Spiritdoll this month. I've loved the Snowdrop sculpt for a couple years now and am excited to have one on order. It's my second order and first full doll through Dolk Station. The shipping was a chunk, but 35$ less than the other distributor that has the same sculpt listed.

Edited to add: It's almost the four month mark... still waiting and the Dolk website is showing no new updates. Also no response to an email from a week ago. Getting nervous...

 

An update!
Received an email from Dolk Station stating that they had received the doll and wanted me to give them some info to make sure she is shipped to the correct address. I sent the requested info and they responded back same day saying they would get back to me with photos of the doll, a tracking number, and if there were any additional shipping charges.

There was a general note in both messages talking about extra shipping delays from lack of flights and the possibility of additional fees. Here's hoping that things go well!

 

And there was a couple emails with a photo of the doll and a working shipping number!
Possibly pre-mature celebration because ...shipping. But just so glad that thing doll is on her way!

She arrived yesterday!

The shipping box was large! Big enough so her box was held inside that with at least an inch of space between it and the outer box on all sides. I need to upload photos to Flickr for her box opening and then I will post a link here.

My MengPo finally made it, too. She arrived a few weeks ago, but I haven't had time to take any pictures or do much with her yet.

Will you have a link here when you put photos up and do you have a set plan for her already or are you thinking of different options?

Funny enough I think Meng Po's eyes are more realistically proportioned than my snowdrop. Snowdrop can wear 12 or 14mm eyes, and Meng Po looks to be wearing around a 16mm?

they said that they will send her within Jul or Aug. I hope they could send her ASAP.

In late June I placed an order for Grace 65cm boy through Spiritdoll's Taobao store. It's for my last floating head (Illusion Garden Johan), and it should take around 2 months. Spiritdoll can do colour matching, so I ordered that too -- getting this squared away was a pretty involved procedure so I hope it goes well. I can't wait to complete this doll and I hope the time passes quickly.
