Ordered her December 13th, and my twilight, named Asche, is finally here!

That wig needs some finagling but she's beautiful! I'm so happy with that purple resin. I was surprised to find that she's a tad bit taller and longer than my luts kid delf centaur boy, too.

 

@slight That purple on the hooves and tail is absolutely beautiful!

What wig sizes is everyone using for their twilights, by the way? I'm thinking of getting a new one since mine is fussy.

 

WOW that purple! is that a custom colour? it's incredible!

 

It’s actually resinsoul’s default transparent purple color. I had no idea what it would look like until I opened the box and I was like WOW

 

WOW! it looks so much more vivid than any other purple i've seen from them.

Now i'm super tempted to ask for transparent purple wings lol.

 

I guess I'm back since I'm waiting on replacement hands for my Twilight since a finger got broken on the way here Who knows when that will be lol

Hi! I ordered a Rui in coffee resin on January 16th from DDE. It wasn’t the best timing on my part, but I’m looking forward to my first new doll in a few years.

 

Sounds lovely. I ordered in February and I'm not going to push or email, but I'm curious when they will ship.

I ordered Zhen at the end of November through DDE... still waiting. Definitely going direct through ResinSoul next time (or an in stock item at DDE). I am in love with my Twilight that I ordered direct from RS though so I don't really mind the wait as I know the doll won't disappoint.

 

Twilight is amazing, I love seeing them, please post once they arrive.

Hi! Is anyone else still waiting for Twilight? I bought a Xun( with heels feet and face up) on layaway Nov.10, then added a Twilight ( face up and full body blush) in December. Paid it off Feb 10th. Around March 10th, I checked in with them and added a Yu with a face up.

I figure I won’t see this package till late May or early June.

I’m fighting really hard against adding another doll! I’ve had a Winter or Spring on my mind recently!

 

@Kiki Happy I don't think I have seen anyone who hasn't yet-- but I think that's because they all paid in full so production started sooner. The body blushing and general shipping slowness lately might also further delay your lovely Centaur though.

Also because I'm curious~! What colors did you order Twilight in?

on the octarine doll website it says no delivery of pre-ordered dolls is planned before early april.
I know I should be patient but its really hard.
should I email resinsoul instead asking them when they plan on to deliver in europe? or should I wait a bit longer?

 

That’s what I figured. Thanks for the information. I also contacted them in January to see if my colour selection was conveyed correctly. From other people’s orders it looked as if there was a misunderstanding about the translucent parts. I told them I wanted it like the promo pics but pink wherever it was blue.

I picked dark tan for the human parts, a blue body (they said that it was basically mint green), with translucent pink lower legs and tail. I’m really excited for her!

 

I've noticed that dealers for RS/BBB often wait waaaaay longer than anyone going direct. I think this is due to the volume of orders they place at once. Instead of waiting just for your doll to be done you're waiting for anyone else who ordered during that time frame as WELL, plus a larger parcel means customs stops it and that causes a delay as well.
I've known, even before this virus issue, resinsoul orders from EU dealers to take up to 5 or 6 MONTHS to show up, which is pretty bad.

As we are now IN april though, it wouldn't be unreasonable to message the dealer for an update.

Resinsoul direct are still taking orders and didn't suggest any delay when I made my order a few days ago. Now that said, my ACBJD order from China has disappeared into the ether, it was posted a month ago and tracking hasn't updated since it left China. I expect it's stuck in customs somewhere due to the backlog but it certainly isn't helpful when you're waiting for something.

It's always worth asking the dealer if they have any updates. You lose nothing doing so and it's their job to keep their customers up to date.

Just got an email with a tracking number, and assuming I'm not mistaken, I think my Rui may have just shipped!
How long the shipping will take given the current situation though, who knows. I'm very patient and prepared to wait for awhile.

edit: well at least resinsoul awnserd,they said that they send my package end of March but because all international flights are very limited now, the package has not arrived,now we can only wait for some time
I really hope the package will arrive soon.

well another update I've not heard anything from octarinedolls(doll dealer) so I tracked them down on facebook and send a message I hope they finally awnser back......

 

I haven't poked in here for awhile. My Twilight shipped awhile ago to my face up artist, but she got stuck in postal limbo for a very long time. She's at my face up artist safe and sound though, so now I'm just waiting for her to get done with that and come home to me.

Because I'm not a patient sort and apparently like this horrid waiting game I bought another doll XD. A Ju head, with Xun's torso, and Zhen's arms and legs in dark tan. Of course she too will go to the face up artist first. Knowing me I'll order another before she's home too. These dang Resinsouls have become like potato chips to me, and their price point makes it actually somewhat doable. Ugh. Whhhhhhy?

 

I pay off my two bodies in a few days when my second stipend comes in heh. I'm looking forward to having two more dolls finished. I've got a dark grey Xun? body with transparent purple dragon wings incoming for Twilight's head and a light tan Tang body for my Napalm dolls Choma head.

Oh i'm SO looking forward to having them both put together at last. It's been too long. I hate having floating heads, makes me feel so guilty.

Of course i'm already considering a blue Zhen head on a different body because I like those floppy ears and she has a sweet little face. And because a large part of me loves the idea of having one of every RS colour lol.
But i'm trying to be reasonable about my dolly accumulation this year. It's hard though, there's so many tempting things!

I had a couple of resinsoul plans which i've put to one side for the time being due to lack of money and other things (floating heads) taking priority.

 

Woo, I can finally join this waiting thread. I just placed my order for a Resinsoul Zhen! I'm so excited to finally get a resinsoul. My friend has a Mei she she's super adorable.

 

So, an update on my order. I sent an email to Resinsoul today to see if there were any updates. They told me it was shipped on April 17th, (I didn’t receive a shipping notice) and it hasn’t arrived to me. I checked the shipping number they gave me and there has been no movement since April 20th. I’m pretty nervous but I’m hoping it gets to me safely (and soon!).

 

I ordered some bjd boots from an Etsy vendor in Hong Kong and they said that air shipping has been shut down out of Hong Kong due to low flight availability so I ended up opting for my package to be sent via surface shipping (boat?) instead since it was an offered option. I'm not sure about the rest of China but maybe it's snagged in something similar for now?

I finally bit the bullet and bought a Xun from Denver Doll. I got her with the default faceup and the cat ears. She was in stock so I should get her soon!

well some bad and some good news.
bad news is that octarine dolls will close end of 2020.
good news is that between now and 31 may I'll get some update about my order I just realy keeping my fingers crossed

 

That's a shame about Octarine but to be fair, they never really seemed to drum up much business.
Still, it's always sad to see someone set up something and not be able to make it work. I hope they're okay.

When I finished my layaway direct with resinsoul I got no indication of how long it would take which is unusual for them. usually they say "it'll be around 40 days" or whatever. Maybe they aren't giving estimates because they genuinely don't know.
Still, hopefully they can get stuff out. A lot of companies can't so i'm sorta just playing it by ear waiting to hear back to see if shipping is possible or not. Might be a bit of a wait unfortunately but there's nothing we can do.

 

I ordered her at the end of January, so hopefully yours will be a little faster,lol. I think they had a temporary closure at some point after I ordered her due to covid

 

I’ve ordered a doll from another Chinese-based company. It’s been stuck in Hong Kong since Saturday, and I’m trying to find out what happened to it (DHL). I heard in another post dated earlier this month that air shipping has slowed down a lot due to COVID? Is this still happening?

 

I've yet to get a shipping notice from ResinSoul directly, but I got a text message from DHL yesterday with a tracking number and a notice that my order has been shipped. I placed the order somewhere around the first week of March, so hopefully this means good things for everyone else who ordered around that time period! Now to wait and hope that it isn't delayed too horribly

 

Waiting on my Resinsoul Dong, ordered and shipped from Junky Spot, he should be here on Friday! I made him clothes, his wig is due tomorrow, his shoes should be here in a week or so, I am super excited!

He is my third order of big dolls 70cm+, but he will most likely be the first to arrive. I am naming him Trinity... because he is the third one.

 

He is home!! I am very happy for him! I am slowly deleting my tiny doll profiles to make way for the bigger dolls!

I got my sky blue Yun/Xue hybrid in yesterday (they would have gotten here last Friday, but DHL were unable to find their way into my neighborhood without assistance, so delivery got delayed over the weekend). I placed my order on March 7, so it was almost exactly 3 months from the day I ordered them to the day they arrived on my doorstep.

 

Oooh, is the photo fairly skin tone accurate? I love the blue! And the eyes are super striking with the blue skin.

 

Thanks! The photo's not too far off, but it definitely has a warmer/yellower cast to it than the color does in real life - my camera's color balance has a heart attack every time every time I try to take a picture of them, for some reason. I'll see if I can get a more accurate one tomorrow and post it to the Resinsoul discussion thread

I'm very excited, I thought I had totally missed my chance to get her but I got very lucky! Also fell in love with Zhun while looking on the DDE site, I may order her next

 

My Twilight arrived today!! Shipping from DDE was so fast I'm a little disappointed that her faceup and body blushing don't look like what was advertised on their website, but she is still beautiful. I can't wait to play with her!!

 

Ooooh, she's awesome. I haven't seen many photos of her yet, thanks for sharing!

 

@Sailor_Ashes Whoa did they blush her nails and hooves with dark brown? That's pretty neat. My girl didn't get blushed like the company photos either, despite being the same resin colors- her nails pink tipped instead of blue etc etc.
Have you thought of a name for your gal yet?
